As well as to identify the architectural and communicational barriers that undermines the academic performance of these students. 14 hearing impaired students and 5 Accessibility Center employees of a Higher Education Institution participated in this study. The data collection occurred through an online questionnaire. It was verified that the two groups did not obtained similar perceptions regarding accessibility and permanence. There was no statistical difference between the linguistic modality and the responses regarding accessibility and permanence in higher education. The students report as main architectural and communication barriers: classroom, learning disability and difficulty in following the contents during classes.
In this protocol we complete the first three stages of action research to analyze possibilities for continuous improvement of processes in public universities. We define the problem or area of improvement in the organization; we identify the relevance of the topic to generate an academic contribution and propose an action plan or work protocol. Although we have focused on a public higher education organization, this protocol can be applicable without requiring too many adaptations, to any public service (at least in the Spanish context).

[Protocolo: plan de acción para investigación-acción sobre mejora continua en servicios públicos. The place of religion and spirituality in public higher education in the United States continues to grow due to the evolving interpretation of religion and the Constitution. What began as a singular entity comingling public and private resources and religion is now a public institution with more carefully delineated legal parameters governing the use of public funds for religious purposes. Three themes may be traced throughout the history of religion in US public institutions. First is the accommodation of increasing religious diversity and the concomitant dilution of the exclusive dominance of Protestant Christianity and its associated privilege within the public square generally and public higher education particularly. Second is the conscious attention to religion and, more recently, spirituality, and their respective places in the academic and co-curricular life of public higher education. Third is the continuing evolution of US law relating to the use of public resources by religious groups.

The purpose of this study is to recognize the share of self-generated sources of financing for activities of public higher education institutions as part of their general stream of financing. Therefore, the key question that will be answered in this study is: how is the structure of financing sources of a studied institution of higher education formed? In the theoretical section, findings were based on the results of literature research. In turn, in the empirical part, findings were based on the results of a case study supported by observation in a multi-field participating university. The entity's financial statements were also used. On the basis of the research results, the structure of financing sources for the studied public institution of higher education was determined, indicating the possibility of using the entity's financial reporting for this purpose. It was noticed, based on the classification of the sources of financial supply indicated in the literature, that they are heterogeneous – drawn from both the public and private sectors. An increase in the share of funds supplied from the private sector was also revealed. In turn, private sources mainly came from fees related to the teaching process. Private sources also included those from commercialization of research results. The research presented in the study has provided new knowledge about the structure of the financing sources of a public education of higher institution in the context of current conditions for its functioning. In particular, the research helps supplement the existing scarcity of knowledge about the share of self-generated financing for a public higher education institution in the general financing stream of its activities.
