Islam requires its adherents to study and develop science. Human knowledge continues to evolve with the times and the discovery of the secrets of nature. The Qur'an applies to all ages, even many things that can not be understood by man today, as many things also have begun to be understood over the course of time. All human beings have an interest in knowing the basics of natural science, because starting from the oxygen gas to breathe, the food and the necessary medicines, the environment and the natural disasters all are related to the natural sciences. Without the power of science how can humans can understand the universe to see the greatness of Allah swt. Therefore, the increase of human resources in Islamic society becomes a necessity.

Pondok Pesantren is one of the Islamic educational institutions that aim to form human beings who have noble character, so that created a human who has a balance between physical and spiritual. Some educational institutions offer various models of learning to balance the current development so that its existence is still recognized by the community. While boarding school in dealing with the development of the times, has a commitment to make new innovations by presenting the pattern of education that can give birth to a reliable Human Resources. Especially pesantren currently has a challenging enough weight in facing the era of "Demographic Bonus". Demographic bonus is a phenomenon in which the structure of the population greatly benefits the community from the side of development in various sectors, because the productive age is more than the non productive age. This means that the dependency burden will decrease with the ratio of 64 percent of the productive age population to bear only 34 percent of the nonproductive age population. With all kinds of scholarships and skills given to students, students are expected to compete in all fields, especially in the face of Indonesia gold in 2020 to 2035.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, whose life spanned most of the nineteenth century, is widely regarded as one of the greatest sages in the history of American thought. Among educated American citizenry, Emerson is probably the most commonly read indigenous philosopher—and for good reason. Emerson presents a vision of human beings and their place in the universe which gives meaning and stature to the human condition. Human beings are the only creature whose capability of knowledge enabling them to develop. However, this could be hampered by the wrong epistemology understanding based on a religion they believe. This research aims to encourage human thought to be dynamically progressive without jeopardizing values of Qur’an. This is carried out through placing the Islamic epistemology on the autonomy of ration and empirical experiences and conducting dialectical process between them and Al-Qur’an.  Conclusions derived are that human knowledge can develop dynamically and progressively in line with the spirit of the Qur’an. It automatically has an impact on the development of holistic human resources. In this context, Islamic epistemology then is the main drive for the development of human resources.

“As khalifa, God assigned to manage nature, but in fact some of them  actually, exploiting natural results that ultimately lead to natural disasters all over the places. To refine and guide human intellect and moral management, religion was revealed. Some of religion 'primitive', called animist believes that the universe does have a soul, when the soul is in existence disturbed then they would be angry, and it will harm human beings, this is actually quite similar to what is being taught other religions, especially Islam . Where is the anger of nature that was the result of human action itself.”

This chapter introduces the study of cosmology—in the social and the natural sciences. We see that the study of the cosmos has deep and interesting origins but also that how we study the cosmos is no simple matter analytically, for how we think about the cosmos is also directly implicated in how we think about our own role in the universe. This chapter argues that we should think social and natural science approaches to cosmology ‘together’ rather than apart from each other. This it is suggested is necessary both to avoid an uncritical approach to scientific cosmology on the one hand and to avoid equating the cosmos to our beliefs about it.

В статье дано сопоставление взглядов советского философа Э.В. Ильенкова и представителей естественнонаучного течения русского космизма. Сходство указанных позиций основывается на понимании необходимости существования во Вселенной мозга и важности человеческого разума для преобразования природы. Различие взглядов связано с разницей подходов. Ильенков пытался философски осмыслить атрибутивность сознания природе. Он изобразил круговую схему умирания и возрождения бытия с переломной точкой в виде сознания. Космисты рассматривали мыслящий мозг с точки зрения естественных наук. Для них важным было показать возможности постоянного прогресса жизни и разума. Существенным моментом для обеих сторон была апелляция к нравственным аспектам человека. The article compares the views of the Soviet philosopher E.V. Ilyenkov and representatives of the natural-science trend of Russian cosmism. The similarity of the above-mentioned positions is based on understanding of necessity of existence of brain in the universe and importance of human mind for transformation of nature. The difference of views is due to different approaches. Ilyenkov tried to philosophically comprehend the attributiveness of consciousness to nature. He represented a circular scheme of dying and revival of being with a turning point in the form of consciousness. The cosmists studied the thinking brain from the point of view of natural sciences. It was important for them to show the possibility of constant progress of life and mind. The essential point for both sides was the appeal to the moral aspects of human activity.

Abstrak: Pendidikan merupakan upaya untuk meningkatkan kemampuan sumber daya manusia agar menjadi manusia yang memiliki karakter dan dapat hidup dengan mandiri. Membangun karakter melalui pendidikan mutlak sangat diperlukan, bahkan tidak bisa ditunda. Pendidikan karakter bisa efektif dan berhasil ketika dilakukan secara lengkap mulai dari lingkungan rumah tangga, sekolah dan masyarakat. Karakter yang harus ditanamkan pada siswa antara lain yakni ; cinta Tuhan serta alam semesta dan isinya, belajar untuk tanggung jawab, disiplin, mandiri, jujur, hormat serta sopan, dapat bekerja bersama, percaya diri, kreatif, kerja keras dan tidak pernah menyerah, keadilan kepemimpinan, baik dan rendah hati. Sedangkan akhlak mulia adalah seluruh kebiasaan manusia yang berasal dari diri yang secara sadar didorong oleh keinginan dan tercermin dalam perbuatan baik. Dengan demikian jika karakternya mulia mendarah daging pada siswa, karakter mulia akan secara otomatis tercermin dalam perilaku siswa dalam kehidupan sehari-hari.Kata Kunci: Pendidikan Karakter, Akhlak Mulia, Siswa Sekolah DasarAbstract: Education is an effort to improve the ability of human resources to become human beings who have character and can live independently. Building character through education is absolutely indispensable, cannot even be delayed. Character education can be effective and successful when done in full starting from the household environment, school and society. Characters that must be instilled in students include; love God and the universe and its contents, learn for responsibility, discipline, independent, honest, respectful and polite, can work together, be confident, creative, work hard and never give up, leadership justice, kind and humble. While noble morals are all human habits that originate from the self which is consciously driven by desire and reflected in good deeds. Thus, if his noble character is ingrained in students, noble character will automatically be reflected in student behavior in daily life.Keywords: Character Education, Noble Character, Elementary School Students
