<p><b>Background: </b>This article quantitatively presents the relationship between volume of BME publications produced from 1990 to 2019 in the member states of the ASEAN and 12 indicators of overall and physical health. The objective was to show that ASEAN states that recognize BME as an academic and professional discipline have been successful in producing research in the field, and thus, have advanced the provision of high-quality healthcare for their people. </p> <p><b>Results: </b><i>Acceptable</i> relationships [Pearson correlation coefficients (PCC) > 0.6000] were found between BME publication volume and all indicators. Stronger relationships (PCC > 0.7000) were found between BME publication volume and the natural logarithm of the indicators. Brunei data behaved anomalously and was removed to check for any improvements in PCC. Indeed, PCCs for all indicators improved significantly upon exclusion of Brunei data [PCC > 0.8000 for six indicators (linear scale), PCC > 0.9000 for five indicators (log scale)]. These PCCs signify especially strong relationships between BME research yield and healthcare quality in a country. To visualize the relationships, BME publication volume was plotted against GDP per capita, while the remaining 11 indicators were each plotted against BME publication volume. Linear, logarithmic, and exponential regression curves were overlaid on the datapoints. Coefficients of determination (R2) were calculated to measure the aptness of the fits. R2 > 0.9000 for two indicators, R2 > 0.8000 for five indicators, R2 > 0.7000 for four indicators, and R2 < 0.7000 for only one indicator were calculated from the curve fits overlaid on the datapoints excluding Brunei data. </p> <p><b>Conclusion:</b> We believe that it is time for the Philippines to adopt BME as an academic and professional discipline, so that it may one day enjoy the benefits brought about by advancements in the provision of healthcare, which are experienced by its neighbors that have gone ahead with movements to cultivate the highly essential discipline.</p>

The emergence of social networking sites, particularly Facebook, encouraging the emergence of a new paradigm in e-commerce, known as social commerce (s-commerce). S-commerce business model is currently a trend in the commercial world. Based on literature studies that have been done, we obtained two factors in the behavior and interaction of social networking site Facebook users that affect a person's intention to make purchases through social media, there is social support and relationship quality. This study aims to conduct research on the relationship between social commerce intention, social support, and relationship quality, through a questionnaire survey conducted online to Facebook users by using purposive sampling method. Data results of the questionnaire that has been collected, then analyzed quantitatively by using PLS. From the analysis and quantitative testing can be concluded that social commerce intention on Facebook as a medium s-commerce is affected by relationship quality on social media itself (in this case Facebook), and are not directly affected by the social support that occurred on social media Facebook . However, it is known that social support on Facebook has a direct influence on the quality of the relationship quality between the user and Facebook as a medium of s-commerce.

The study assessed the relationship between the factors affecting the academic achievement of the dean’s listers’ of Caraga State University. It involves the total population of the dean’s listers in the said university. The independent variables are those pre-determined factors’ affecting the academic achievement of the dean’s listers’ of Caraga State University and the dependent variable is the grades of the dean’s listers’. The result shows the low relationship between the pre-determined factors and the academic achievement evidenced by the values of the p-values which are greater than. In terms of the academic achievement of the dean’s listers’ their grades signify their excellence in their different chosen fields. With regards to the pre-determined factors, the factor that got the highest mean is the teachers’ competence with 3.7639 and the lowest one is the learning environment with 3.6690. The study habits’ got the second spot among the 4 factors followed by the learning styles. Based on Spearmen Correlation analysis in the data gathered, the results revealed that there is no significant relationship between the pre-determined factors and the academic achievement of the dean’s listers’ of Caraga State University. The p-values obtained are less than 0.05 for all the data set; which is accepting the null hypothesis. The results clearly depict that the students’ study habit, learning style teachers’ competence and the learning environment has no influence on the achievement reached by the dean’s listers’. On the other hand, it is still very important to make and to maintain these factors visible in the academic arena for better learning and for a better outcome. The absence of these factors might affect the performances of the students in Caraga State University.
