The aim of this paper is to present a numeric-statistical model by which it is possible to evaluate the quality of the observed grassland upon floristic and vegetation assessment. Thanks to this new methodological approach, the impact of each individual plant species on overall quality of the grassland could be estimated. The main goal was to determine species which significantly determine the pastoral value of the grassland. The quality (pastoral value) of the grassland was calculated using the numerical values of quality index of each individual species of each relev? of the community. For testing this numerical method, the total of 11 relev?s of 4 grassland communities of hilly-mountainous area of Mt. Kopaonik was used. Analyzed vegetation includes previously unpublished phytocenological relev?s as result of our own field research. All analyzed relev?s were obtained using the method of the Swiss-French phytocenological school. The results showed that the best and the worst quality were determined for the ass. Festuco-Brometum erectii, and the ass. Nardetum strictae, respectively. Species that highly contributed to good and bad quality of grassland were Arrhenatherum elatius, Festuca rubra, Dactylis glomerata, Trifolium repens, etc., and Carduus alpestris, Hieracium hoppeanum, Ornithogalum umbelatum, respectively.

In line with the UN Agenda 2030 Sustainable Development Goals, Public Health Policies follow in Brazil criteria of universality, completeness, and equity formulated to ensure access to health services in adequate quantity and quality for the entire population. To evaluate the quality of services provided in health units, it is essential, however, to make methodological considerations to concern the use of proper instruments and techniques to achieve accuracy and precision regarding their effectiveness for the user population. Mainly where health care is precarious or in need of adjustment, properly constructed indicators can become excellent management tools. This paper aims to analyze the specificities of the perception of the quality of health services offered to residents of the riverside communities of the Tupé Sustainable Development Reserve (SDR), Manaus, Amazonas, Brazil. The methodological approach is from a descriptive and ecological case study, based on field research with original data collection of fixed residents, aged over 18 years, by applying structured questionnaires and analyzing the results according to the SERVQUAL methodology. In the present study, it observed the impact of previous experiences of attending on the quality of health service. In the case of SDR of Tupé, there were positive evaluations with above 70% in all items. Still, when analyzing the data set and cut, considering the existence or not of previous experience, a different pattern of perception was detected. Based on these results, we suggest that the quality perception of health has to do with competitiveness, associated with the performance standard on the offer available to the customer.

This study aims to analyze the consequences of the gentrification process as a result of tourism on the elderly inhabitants. Firstly, the concept of gentrification is reviewed, a process that is no longer exclusive to large cities but has spread to smaller and lesser-known municipalities. A clear example of this type of new tourist destination is the city of Cáceres, a World Heritage medium-sized city where tourism is the basis of its economy. The research considers gentrification in medium-sized cities and its effect on active aging. Based on a qualitative methodological approach, a total of 32 in-depth interviews were conducted and analyzed to compare two neighborhoods—one gentrified and one not. The results show a remarkable disparity in the residents’ perceptions of their environment and their city. The findings suggest adverse effects on the quality of aging due to the gentrification process, such as family dependency, social-space disconnection, and a generally pessimistic image of the neighborhood. Consequently, the impact of tourism negatively affects the gentrified neighborhood inhabitants’ psychological, social, and emotional well-being.

Abstract. The main of this research, whose methodological approach is mixed, has been to determine (otra opción: was to determine) the impact of sports influencers have on a population group of 404 Andalusian adolescents surveyed and 10 interviewees whose age ranges from 16 to 20 years. According to the main findings, it is shown that these influencers contribute positively to increasing the degree of motivation and adherence to physical activity. In summary, the study establishes a dissociation between the type of sport practiced and the gender of the adolescent. This statement shows that both genders tend to follow influencers of the same gender. In addition, it could not be determined that men buy more electronic devices than women. However, a statistically significant aspect is that males are more likely to share data on social media and that adolescents who have bought a device have tried, as much as possible, to have the brand resemble the one promoted by their influencer. Finally, it is concluded that the work of these public figures over their followers is effective and direct, as they are able to have a significant impact and improve the quality of life of all those who support them.

Prior to the start of any Wind Power Park construction project, it is necessary to carefully assess available wind potential in the selected area. The cost of such investigative studies is considerable – even with a relatively small 70 m tall mast it reaches several tens of thousands of Euros. In order to reduce costs related to wind speed measurements it is suggested to use the existing cellular communication masts that are widely spread in Europe. The study presents a methodological approach and the results of wind speed and wind shear measurements performed with the use of lattice cellular communication masts at the height of up to 100 m. A CFD model of airflow around a cellular communication mast structure was created in order to explore the impact of mast structure on the quality of wind speed measurements. The paper presents the results of the CFD modelling in the form of contour maps depicting the severity of airflow disturbances around the mast. The study is based on experimental measurements conducted in 2018 in three coastal sites of Latvia. At each site wind speed and direction were measured at several heights along with air temperature, humidity and air pressure. The experimentally obtained data in combination with the analysis of modelled CFD results shows the possibility of using cellular communication masts for accurate measurements of wind speed. Overall, the study shows that the proposed approach to wind speed measurements can result in high quality data and reduced overall expenses.

Yield and quality of forage mainly depend on the floristic composition, ie the share of higher quality grasses and legumes, soil fertility, amount and distribution of precipitation and light. Natural meadows and pastures are the most important resource in the forage production in the hilly and mountainous area of Republic of Serbia. Despite the large areas, the forage production on natural grasslands is relatively low. Limited application of a small number of agrotechnical measures is the main reason for low and unstable yields and poor forage quality. Only by appropriate fertilization of meadows and pastures with mineral and organic fertilizers, their rational exploitation, it is possible to achieve an increase in hay yield by several times and improvement in forage quality, simultaneously.

The study utilized a highly qualitative, narrative, and free associative methodological approach to give a mother’s perspective of her teenage daughter’s 9-month journey from diagnosis of cancer to her death. Cancer is a unique chronic illness that impacts both physically and psychologically. The key findings of this study show that medical treatment alone is not enough and that professionals must understand the impact that cancer and the treatment have on the quality of life for the child and how the phrase surviving cancer has different meanings. It highlights the importance that family, friends, beliefs, and education have on supporting a teenager and the consequences of denying that access to all stakeholders.
