Sempervivum tectorum has a similar effect as aloe vera, which is known in the treatment of various skin diseases. This herb is considered one of the safest remedies for a wide range of skin diseases. Due to its anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties, it also serves as an excellent first aid for burns, stings and bites, because it provides quick relief and calming. Freshly squeezed juice from the leaves of the houseplant is used in the treatment of nervous disorders, epilepsy and restless dreams. The leaves are edible and can be used as an addition to salads or stews. They are not particularly tasty, but as they are rich in water, they can be put in a juicer together with other fruits or vegetables and become a refreshing drink. It is used in folk herbal medicine and as a medicine. The aim of this study was to determine the moisture content, total extracted substances, extract density, vitamin C, organic acids and proteins in house extracts.

The pharmacologic properties of gold compounds have been known since the end of the 19th century. They have been used for different studies, even though they are usually used for the treatment of arthritis. In the last decade, gold complexes have received increased attention due to the variety of their applications. Primary, they have been investigated as potential anticancer and chemotherapeutic agents. It is well known that gold(III) complexes are very similar to platinum(II) compounds, so they could exhibit prospective anticancer, cytotoxic and antitumor properties. In this paper, were investigated the interactions of the gold(III) complexes, [Au(DPP)Cl2]+ and [Au(DMP)Cl3] where DPP=4,7-diphenyl-1,10-phenanthroline and DMP=2,9-dimethyl-1,10-phenanthroline) with SARS-CoV2 protease. The obtained results indicate that the square-planar [Au(DPP)Cl2]+ complex shows good inhibitory activity, compared to FDA approved drugs, cinanserin and chloroquine.

The water samples collected from four localities of the middle course of the Zapadna Morava River during 2020 were analyzed via the selected physico-chemical parameters with the aim to estimate the quality of surface water. According to the results of selected physico-chemical parameters (pH, conductivity, dissolved oxygen, chemical oxygen demand, biochemical oxygen demand), analyzed surface water show a good chemical status, while the values of nutrient content (nitrate, nitrite, ammonium ion, total phosphorus) indicated the poor chemical status especially at the locality 4 probably due to the outflow of wastewater from the city of Čačak as well as from the influence of the polluted water of the Čemernica River.

Tropane alkaloids are considered to be serious health hazard for humans and that their maximum residue levels in food and feed are still not established. In this paper five samples of maize collected from the local producer in 2020 have been investigated by the liquid chromatography with tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) for the atropine and scopolamine determination. The detected concentrations of atropine and scopolamine were extremely high (17.7-67.0 μg/kg for atropine and 2.3-10.4 μg/kg for scopolamine). The obtained results show the seriousness of the tropane alkaloids problem in maize as well as the need for monitoring and further research.

As one of the most common biopolymers on Earth, cellulose has found an important role in food industry, biomedicine andbiotechnology. The process of obtaining cellulose fibers is often followed with the presence of the byproduct, whose removal is required procedure. From that reason, the process of obtaining material on a bacterial cellulose (BC) basis, finds wide application in everyday life. Having in mind her many features, we have investigated the change in structure and morphology of BC depending on the synthesis parameters. The influence of the medium volume and different time intervals of NaOH treatment relative to different BCN yields and structure. The mentioned changes were examined by XRD, FTIR spectroscopy, as well as SEM and EDS analyzes.

In the first part of the paper, the continuity equation in the boundary layer for stationary two-dimensional flow is derived on the basis of the law of mass conservation. After that, using Newton's second law for control volume, the equation for the momentum was derived. Using the derived equations, the analysis was performed with respect to the influence of temperature. After that, on the basis of the energy balance, an energy equation was derived in which a viscous dissipation function was introduced, which enabled a wider application. At the end of the paper, the derived equations were applied to a specific calculation example from technical practice in the calculation of thermal quantities in a rectilinear sliding bearing, which was the aim of the work

In addition to physical and chemical pollution of water, from the aspect of the impact of water on the health of the population, monitoring and prevention of microbiological pollution of water, especially water used for drinking, is extremely important. In this paper, the importance of microbiological safety of water in protecting the health of the population is considered.

Three-year research, in the impact of microbial preparations and Gunatito on bean-root-nodule number and mass in organic production, was published. The highest nodule number and mass was in the year with a more favorable weather conditions, with a higher humidity. The lowest nodule number was in the method with a direct Tiffi application on the pre-sowing seed, whereas the lowest nodule mass was in the control variety. A positive insignificant correlation was determined between nodule number and mass, and yield. Nodulation was variety dependant. EM application 7 days before sowing, and the combination of Guanito before sowing with EM in flowering, showed a positive impact on nodule number and mass.

In the plant communities on stubble, 25 taxons were determined, classified into 22 genera and 13 families. Of the 7 most pre-stated families, five are present in this micro-company where asteraceae have 6 taxons (27.27%), Lamiaceae five species (20%) and Poaceae three representatives (12%). As feed can be used: Galinsoga parviflora Cav., Echinochloa crus-galli (L.) Beauv., Elymus repens (L.) Gould., Amaranthus retroflexus L., Chenopodium album L. and Leontodon hispidus L. Potentially toxic to domestic animals are: Colchicum autumnale L., Equisetum arvense L., Equisetum telmateia Ehrh., Ranunculus bulbosus L., Sonhus arvensis L.

Field experiments with 11 native maize hybrids for grain production FAO maturity group 400-600 were set up over two years at two sites (near the villages of Brzan and Lužnice, Kragujevac municipality) with the aim of, based on the yield over years, recommending hybrids for specific agroecological conditions. The average maize grain yield for all hybrids in 2017 was 4.2 t ha-1, and in 2018 11.1 t ha-1. Hybrids ZP 548 and NS 5051 had the highest average grain yield in 2017, and in 2018 ZP 560 and NS 4051. Higher yields in 2018 are mainly the result of a larger amount and a more favorable distribution of precipitation in the vegetation period. In both years, which differed in agrometeorological conditions during the vegetation period, especially in the amount and distribution of precipitation in the second part of the vegetation, in which the critical phases of maize development take place, the highest yields were recorded mainly in FAO 500 hybrids.
