Two grade-six classes in a Montreal primary school used the Web over several weeks to gather information for a class project. After the completion of the project, 50 students were interviewed to gather their opinions on this experience. They discuss the relative merits of the Web as compared with traditional printed sources in terms of information content and retrieval. Although the Web certainly had its enthusiasts, books and magazines also continued to be important. The students commented upon a number of problems they encountered in finding information suitable for their project. To become a more effective classroom tool, the authors conclude either that more helpful interfaces are required to assist in search formulation or that students must be taught how to seek information in this environment. In addition, more information is required on the Web that can be used by young students, and pathfinders are needed to point the students in the right direction.

In recent years, although the overall physical health of Chinese students has shown an upward trend, the substantial decline in student physical fitness has been basically curbed. Most of the physical health indicators of students are steadily improving, but there are still many problems that need to be vigilant. In order to solve the problem of the decline of the physical health of primary school students, it is very important to construct a teaching system based on big data and artificial intelligence to promote the physical health of primary school students. This article aims to study from the actual situation and find scientific and reasonable methods to improve the physical health of primary school students. This article uses the literature method, questionnaire survey method, mathematical statistics method, and other research methods to analyze and study the current physical condition of the interviewed students and the actual influencing factors by taking students from 5 domestic primary schools as the research object. It is concluded that more than 90% of primary school students in Haidian District, Beijing, have good physique and physical development. The development level of strength and flexibility is gradually improved, but the speed and endurance quality are on the decline, especially the endurance quality of primary school boys has declined the most. Lack of good exercise habits, insufficient exercise time and exercise efficiency, and lack of appropriate exercise volume and necessary exercise intensity are currently the most important factors affecting the physical health of primary school students. The physical problems of primary school students are not caused by a single factor, but the result of multiple factors. This article puts forward a number of suggestions for the above situation and problems to be solved urgently.

Introduction. The actual nutrition of primary school students in the organization of public catering with the provision of three diet options for breakfast, which differed in price and range of meals has been analyzed. Material and methods. The survey included the organized nutrition assessment of students according to 36 menu plans using the individual weight method (5960 portions). Food parcel of daily diet has been analyzed according to 149 food diaries. Results. Nutrient content and energy value of the meal in actually consumed rations is 1.7-3.4 times lower than the information presented in the menu and 2.0-2.7 times lower than the average need for nutrients. By comparing three options of ration it was established that the standard breakfast (cost up to 50 rubles) is the scarcest (37%-87%) according to the actual level of nutrients and energy value consuming by students. The alternative breakfast containing additional salads, fish and meat dish, pasta, pastry and bakery products is the most completed according to the consumption of food substances. In the analysis of daily rations of students by food logs, a decrease in the consumption of fish, rye bread, dairy products, eggs, vegetables is established while increasing the consumption level of chicken, pasta, and pastry. Conclusion. The data of the current study testify to the inconsistency between the calculated data of menu plans and actual levels of nutrients incoming with diet, which deficit accouts for 59-87%. The actual consumption of food substances from school breakfasts increases when is accompanied by an alternative menu. It is necessary to improve the control systems for catering in children’s collectives, to use modern models of the student service organization and to form the right stereotypes of food behavior.

For primary school students, this effort can be done by processing dry waste into useful items. Processed garbage can be made into scraps that sell for sale or just simple handicrafts. This research was aimed at developing environmental literacy through the use of scraps in primary schools. The research employed a quantitative approach with quasy experimental method. The sample of the research was fifth grade primary school students who were randomly selected. Then the data collection techniques were conducted with the cognitive tests, practice, and attitude questionnaires. Meanwhile, data analysis process employed the inference statistics. The results showed that the activity of utilizing scrap affected the environmental literacy of the students. The aspect that experienced a quite good change was the performance aspect in the form of carrying out used scrap activities. The study presents the results from a pilot project in which 360˚ videos were utilized for teaching students basic volleyball skills. The target group was thirty-six, eleven-to-twelve years-old primary school students, divided into two groups: the first was taught conventionally and the second using apps in which 360˚ videos were embedded. The project lasted for six two-teaching-hour sessions (three for each method), and data were collected using observation sheets and a questionnaire for recording students’ views regarding their experience. The data analysis confirmed that, compared with conventional teaching, 360˚ videos allowed students to perform better the skills that were examined. The participating students also thought that by viewing 360˚ videos they were more motivated to learn and that their experience was an enjoyable one. On the other hand, students did not consider the 360˚ videos as being useful in their learning. Given the lack of research in this field, the findings provide an initial indication of 360˚ videos’ potential in Physical Education. Then again, the results also point to the need of finding more innovative methods for integrating 360˚ videos in everyday teaching.
