This study is aimed at investigating the difference of students’ civics achievement between those who are taught by Think Pair Share model based on concept mapping and those who are taught by conventional learning model of the fifth grade students in Elementary School of Cluster I in Petang District. It is a quasi-experimental research using non-equivalent post-test only control group design. The population of this research is 102 students in grade V in Elementary School of Cluster I Petang District. The samples of this research are fifth grade students of SD Negeri 3 Carangsari as experimental group and fifth grade students of SD Negeri 1 Carangsari as control group. The data of civics achievement were collected by using multiple choice tests. The data obtained were analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistical analysis (t-test). The result showed that tcount= 3,83 and ttable = 2,03 (tcount>ttable) which can be concluded that there are significant difference between the students’ civics achievement between those who were taught by Think Pair Share learning model based on concept mapping and those who were taught by the conventional learning model in grade V in Elementary School of Cluster I Petang District of Badung Regency in academic year 2017/2018.

Reading is one of the important aspects in the communication process. Reading can make someone better understand the contents of the reading. In learning to make it easier for students to understand the contents of the reading it will be easier if it begins with the ability to determine the main ideas of the paragraph. Based on this, the researcher conducted a study by applying the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) learning model to the ability to determine the main idea of the paragraph at the fifth grade students of SD 003 Pulau Kopung. This study aims to determine the effect of the CIRC learning model on the ability to determine the main ideas of paragraphs of fifth grade students of SD Negeri 003 Pulau Kopung. This research method is a quasi- experimental Nonequivalent Control Group Design. This research was conducted in two classes, the VA class as the control class and VB class as the experimental class with 22 students in each class. The results of the study showed that the CIRC learning model influenced the ability to determine paragraph main ideas with the results of calculations derived from the gain index, the experimental class using the CIRC learning model got an increase in gain of 0.59 with the middle class and the control class with the normal learning model got an increase of 0.31 with medium class.

This research aims to determine the significance of the difference in science learning results between the group of fifth-grade students in Gugus I Elementary Schools, North Kuta District, in the school year of 2017/2018, that take lessons with the multimedia-assisted probing-prompting learning model and the group of students that take lessons with the conventional learning. The design of this research is a quasi-experimental research with the nonequivalent control group design. The population of this research are all the fifth-grade students of Gugus I Elementary Schools in North Kuta District that still implement the KTSP, which consists of 10 classes with a total of 339 students. The sampling is conducted using the random sampling technique. The sample in this research are the students of class VB in SD (Elementary School) No.7 Dalung, with 36 students as the experiment group and the students of class VB in SD No.4 Dalung with 28 students as the control group. The data collection is conducted using the test method in the form of the multiple choice objective test. The science learning results are analyzed using the t-test. Based on the average the experiment groups =80,89 > the control group =72,85, which means that the multimedia-assisted probing-prompting learning model has an influence on the science learning result. Based on the hypothesis test, tvalues =4,517> ttable =2,000, with dk=62 and a significance level of 5%. Based on the test criteria, H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. Thus, it can be interpreted there is a significant difference the science learning result between the group of students that were taught using the multimedia-assisted probing-prompting learning model and the students that were taught using the conventional learning. It can be concluded that the the multimedia-assisted probing-prompting learning model has an influence on the science learning result of the fifth-grade students in Gugus I Elementary School, North Kuta District, in the school year of 2017/2018. Matematika adalah ilmu abstrak yang membutuhkan benda konkret agar lebih mudah dipahami. Berdasarkan observasi ditemukan bahwa hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas V SDN Gugus Pattimura Kebumen masih sangat rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji keefektifan model discovery learning berbantuan alat peraga kubus satuan terhadap hasil belajar matematika materi volume bangun ruang siswa kelas V SDN Gugus Patimura Kebumen. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen dengan desain penelitian menggunakan quasi experimental dan bentuk nonequivalent control group. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas V SDN Gugus Patimura Kebumen. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan cluster sampling, dimana siswa kelas V SDN Peneket sebagai kelas eksperimen dan siswa kelas V SDN Sidorejo sebagai kelas kontrol. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik tes dan non tes. Sedangkan teknik analisis data dengan uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, dan uji hipotesis yang meliputi uji z, uji t dan uji N-gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ketuntasan hasil belajar kelas eksperimen mencapai 75% sedangkan kelas kontrol tidak, rata-rata hasil belajar kelas eksperimen lebih dari kelas kontrol dan N-gain kelas eksperimen (0,68) > kelas kontrol (0,53). Simpulan dalam penelitian ini adalah model discovery learning berbantuan alat peraga kubus satuan lebih efektif  terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas V SDN Gugus Patimura Kebumen. Penelitian ini bermanfaat untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika materi volume bangun ruang kelas V SDN Gugus Pattimura Kebumen. Mathematics is an abstract science that requires concrete objects to be understood. The observation was found that learning outcomes mathematics of fifth grade students at Kebumen Pattimura cluster were very low. This study aimed to test the effectiveness of the discovery learning model assisted by the unit cubes props on mathematics learning outcomes of solid figures volume in the fifth grade at Kebumen Pattimura Cluster Elementary School. The type of this research was experimental research with quasi-experimental design and nonequivalent control group form. The population in this study were all the fifth grade students at Kebumen Pattimura Cluster Elementary School. The sampling technique used cluster sampling, where the fifth grade students of Peneket Elementary School as the experimental class and the fifth grade students of Sidorejo Elementary School as the control class. The data collection techniques used test and non-test techniques. While the data analysis techniques used the normality test, homogeneity test, and hypothesis testing which includes z test, t test and N-gain test. The results showed that the experimental class learning outcomes achieved 75% of the passing grade while the control class did not. The average learning outcomes of the experimental class were more than the control class and N-gain of the experimental class (0.68) > control class (0.53). The conclusion of this research was that the discovery learning model assisted by the unit cube props was more effective than the direct instruction model assisted by picture media on mathematics learning outcomes in the fifth grade at Kebumen Pattimura Cluster Elementary School. This research is useful to improve mathematics learning outcomes of solid figures volume in the fifth grade students at Kebumen Pattimura Cluster Elementary School.

This study was aimed at investigating whether or not there was a significant effect of the implementation of Big Book as media on reading comprehension achievement of the fifth grade students. This study was conducted in SD Laboratorium Undiksha Singaraja in the form of an experimental research with post-Test only Control Group Design. The population was the fifth grade in which two classes were selected as the sample of the study. Then, the samples were decided as the experimental group and control group by using lottery. The experimental group was taught by using Big Book as media and the control group was taught by using conventional media. The data were analyzed by using t-test through SPSS 17.0. The result of the data analysis showed that students in experimental group performed better than the students in the control group. It was proven by the result of the descriptive statistics that showed the mean score of the experimental group was 85.51 while the mean score of the control group was 75.56. The result of the t-test also showed that the value of Sig (2-tailed) 0.000 was less than 0.05. It can be concluded that there was a significant difference of reading comprehension achievement between students treated with big book as media and those treated using conventional media at fifth grade of elementary school in SD Laboratorium Undiksha Singaraja.

The low competency of students' mathematical knowledge is caused by the lack of optimal models during learning so the students find it difficult to understand learning. It was proven by the results of observations, 53 students or 21.73% of Mathematics PTS scores had reached KKM while as many as 191 people or 78.27% had not yet reached the KKM. This study aimed at analyzing the effect of the NHT model based on portfolio assessment on the competency of the fifth-grade elementary school. This research was a quasi-experimental study with a non-equivalent control group design. The population was all grade V elementary schools consisting of 10 classes of 244 students. The sample was determined using a random sampling technique so selected the fifth grade (Elementary School) SD 1 Mengwi of 34 students as the experimental group and the fifth grade Elementary School Mengwi of 35 students as a control group. In the process of data collection, the test was chosen as a research instrument in the form of an ordinary multiple-choice objective test so the obtained data in the form of mathematical knowledge competency values in the form of quantitative data, then it was analyzed using uji-t analysis with the polled variance formula. The results of data analysis obtained tcount = 4.351> ttable = 2,000 (α = 0.05 and dk = 67) then H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted, which means that there are significant differences between the experimental and control groups. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the NHT model based on portfolio assessment influences the competency of mathematics knowledge in the fifth-grade elementary school.

This research’s aims to know the significant difference of science competence between the group students with the Project Based Learning model assisted by outdoor media companed to group of students conventional method for fifth grade students of SD Gugus II in North Kuta academic year of 2017/2018. This research is an experiment with the research design used is  non-equivalent control group design. The populations of this research are all of the students of fifth grade which amount 334 students. The sample is determined by random sampling technique. The sample is students of fifth grade A in  SD Number  1 Tibubeneng totaled 39 students as the experimental group and students of fifth grade A in SD Number 2 Tibubeneng totaled 33 students as the control group. Data collection technique using testing technique by objective test type multiple choice regular. Technique data abalysis using the t test. The results showed that tcount = 3,890 and at significance level 5% and dk = 70 obtained ttable = 2,000 sehingga tcount = 3,890 > ttable = 2,000. Based on the criteria  for testing, then H0  is rejected and Ha is accepted. The velue of science competence group with the Project Based Learning model assisted by outdoor media is  82,18, and group of students with the conventional method is 75,76. Based on these result Project Based Learning model assisted by outdoor media environment affect the science competence fifth grade students of SD Gugus II North Kuta academic year of 2017/2018.

The research was conducted with the aim: (1) identify the effect of creativity learning model toward natural science subject’s learning outcomes and self-efficacy, (2) identify the effect of creativity learning model toward natural science subject’s learning outcomes, and (3) identify the effect of creativity learning model toward self-efficacy. This research was quasi-experimental research designed of Non-Equivalent Posttest Only Control Group. All fifth-grade classes of cluster I Buleleng district were the research population in total of 209 fifth-grade students from 8 schools. The research sample was determined through simple random sampling technique, obtained 2 schools in total of 59 students that was contained 29 students of SDN 1 Banyuning as the experiment class and 30 students of SDN 8 Banyuning as the control class. Essay test was used the research instrument to gather learning outcomes data, while questionnaire was used to measure self-efficacy. The data analysis was done descriptively to identify mean and standard deviation further tested through MANOVA test. The research findings portrayed: (1) simultaneously, creativity learning model effects in enhancing natural science subject’s learning outcomes and self-efficacy; (2) creativity learning model is able to improve natural science subject’s learning outcomes; and (3) creativity learning model is able to improve self-efficacy. Conclusively, creativity learning model presents has an influence on the aspects studies.

The purposes of this study are to find out the effect of REAP strategy on reading comprehension of the fifth grade elementary students of third cluster of Kotagede Yogyakarta. The research method in this study was quasi-experimental with Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The population was all of fifth grade elementary students of third cluster of Kotagede Yogyakarta. The sample was fifth grade students of SD Baluwarti, SD Kotagede 1, and SD Kotagede 5 Yogyakarta that were establised by cluster random sampling technique. The data were collected using tests. The validity of the instrument was measured in terms of content and construct validity. The reliability of the instrument was stated good with the score of Cronbach’s Alpha = 0,734. The data of this study were analized by independent sample t-test and Manova with Hotteling’s Trace formula. The result showed that REAP strategy gave a positive and significant effect on reading comprehension that is proved by the score of t-test = 4,914 and 3,286 with sig = 0,000 and 0,002. Based on the result, it can be concluded that REAP strategy gives positive and significant effect on reading comprehension of the fifth grade elementary students of third cluster of Kotagede Yogyakarta.

This research aimed at finding out the significant difference of science learning outcomes among the group of students who were taught by Quantum learning model aided three dimensional media and the group of students who were taught by conventional learning model on fifth grade students at Cluster I Sukasada Sub-district, Buleleng Regency in Academic Year 2017/2018. This research was a quasi-experimental research with the non-equivalent post-test only control group design. The population of this research was the entire fifth grade students at Cluster I Sukasada Sub-district, Buleleng Regency in Academic Year 2017/2018 which amounted to 175 people. The sample of this research was fifth grade students of SD Negeri 2 Wanagiri which was selected as the experimental group and fifth grade students of SD Negeri 2 Wanagiri which was selected as the control group. The obtained data were analyzed by using descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis. The result of this research showed there was a significant difference of science learning outcomes among the group of students who were taught by Quantum learning model-aided three-dimensional media and the group of students who were taught by conventional learning model on fifth grade students at Cluster I Sukasada Sub-district, Buleleng Regency in Academic Year 2017/2018. Therefore, it can be concluded that Quantum learning model aided three dimensional media has a positive effect on fifth grade students’ learning outcomes at Cluster I Sukasada Sub-district Buleleng Regency in Academic Year 2017/2018

The purpose of conducting this research is to compare the effectiveness of the Problem Based Learning learning model and the Project Based Learning learning model in terms of the critical thinking skills of elementary students. This type of research used in this research is Quasi Experimental with experimental design of Post test-Only Control Group Design. The population in the study were 164 five grade students in Diponegoro Salatiga Cluster, while the sample is 111 students of five grade students in SDN Mangunsari 01, SDN Mangunsari 03, and SDN Mangunsari 05. The results obtained from this study are based on descriptive statistics where the average implementation of the Problem Based Learning learning model is 92.46, while the average implementation of the Project Based Learning learning model is 85.15. the results of critical thinking skills in the Problem Based Learning model are higher than the Project Based Learning learning model reinforced by the T test results obtained by the Sig. (2-tailed) of 0, 047 0.05 thus there is a significant difference between the two groups.
