Our questionnaire was administered to a representative sample of 88 teacher-researchers from the different institutions of the university under study. The results obtained using Hierarchical regression prove the moderating and positive role of Information technology on the intensity of the relationship between the application of the KM and (Training, research, publication, and governance) as indicators of organizational performance with a change in the correlation rate from R=0.917 to R=0.974 with the addition of leadership as a moderator variable with a degree of impact of 5.7%. This paper presents empirical evidence on the importance of the organizational, technical, and human factors on knowledge management implementation and enhancing performance. In the Czech Republic, Knowledge Management-related problems occur at all knowledge stages with difficulties more predominant at an organisational level. In principal, they originate from the lack of an utilisable and detailed KM implementation methodology; varying perceptions of KM coupled with the notion, that KM equates and is limited to information technologies and the like. As a reaction to these problems, the Faculty of Informatics and Management at the University of Hradec Králové (FIM UHK) developed a new KM implementation methodology. It aims to provide interested parties with a set of ground rules distributed among a number of phases. Further development is underway to elaborate the method by integrating project management tools, benchmarking exercises and critical success factors. Despite this endeavour, there is an on-going need for further research given the reality that small and medium sized enterprises constitute the majority of organisations in the Czech Republic.

Talent management has been an ongoing focus in teaching and career development among lecturers in universities. However, this effective practice lies in the conduct of certain factors in an organisation. Some of the important factors that contribute to talent management of an organisation are; the ability of lecturers to perform, organizational culture and retention practice of an organisation. Hence, this paper took a milestone in explaining the relationship among talent management and three antecedent factors; performance, organisational culture and retention. Importantly, the research focuses on academicians who are teaching Information Technology related subjects. The leading universities in Malaysia have a tendency to lose competent academicians thus creating a gap in the organisational outcome. Thus, respondents were sampled from Private Higher Learning Institutions in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The data was collected from 133 respondents who have been teaching in IT related modules. Hypotheses were built based on the relationship between variables and analysed using Pearson Correlation in via the SPSS software.  The results showthat two hypotheses are not supported except for one of the hypothesis on retention has indicated a significant relationship with the talent management practice of the university.  Information Technology is a fast growing industry as lecturers in this field need to be constantly updated in their knowledge, skills and ability. This requires talent management. Academicians who are unable to do this with the support and motivation of an organisation may not be able to offer their services in the university. Consequently, this can lead to poor outcome on knowledge delivery to students or the turnover rate may be affected. Overall, this paper has called for good human resource practices for lecturers in the teaching profession.

In a knowledge-based economy, and a context of fierce international competition that spares no field. universities as organizations highly dependent on knowledge should pay special attention to it and its management, in such a way that the effective management of this asset is a key factor in building a competitive advantage and became the cornerstone of efforts to improve the performance of the university. In addition, it has long been demonstrated that better knowledge management has a positive impact on organizational performance. However, it is not yet clear how this process is to be achieved in academia and particularly in developing countries such as Morocco. On the other hand, and throughout the literature, several factors affect positively KM initiatives in public organizations and more specifically in universities are discussed. Some of these are the same as those found for private organizations and others are specific to public organizations. Most authors cite the organizational structure. This work has the main objective to verify the moderating role of organizational structure on the intensity of the relationship between the application of knowledge management and organizational performance of Abdelmalek Essaadi University. by collecting the views of the Abdelmalek Essaadi University teacher-researchers, through a hypothetico-deductive reasoning approach and a quantitative working method. Our questionnaire was administered to a representative sample of 88 teacher-researchers from the different institutions of the university under study. The results obtained prove the moderating and positive role of organizational structure, on the intensity of the relationship between the application of the K.M and (Training, research, publication, and governance) as indicators of organizational performance with a degree of impact of 1.1%.

Knowledge Management (KM) is one of the hottest topics today in both the industrial and research world. In our daily life, the authors deal with huge amounts of data and information. Data and information are not knowledge until they know how to obtain the value out of it. This is the reason the authors need to practise KM. The objective of the research is to identify the relationship between the critical success factors (CSFs) and perceived benefits of KM. This study was accomplished through mail questionnaires to the organisations that are implementing Total Quality Management (TQM). Data gained from the questionnaires were analyzed by using SPSS software. The findings revealed that organisational culture, top management leadership and commitment, employee participation have a positive relationship among the perceived benefits of KM. These findings are useful for both practitioners and academicians.

In this paper, the authors examine critical success factors and outcomes of market knowledge management, which is the management of knowledge pertaining to a firm’s customers, competitors, and suppliers. Using data collected from 307 managers in 105 businesses across Canada, the authors show that a firm’s extent of information technology adoption, its analytical capabilities, and market orientation are critical success factors for the firm’s market knowledge management. An important outcome of market knowledge management is the organization’s financial performance, mediated by customer satisfaction and customer loyalty. Results of this study indicate that superior business performance depends not only on the effective management of knowledge, but also on what type of knowledge is managed. Finally, implications of results and avenues for future research are discussed.

This research aimed to 1) study the success factors for knowledge management through electronics industry supply chains, and 2) study guidelines and recommendations regarding the success factors for knowledge management through electronics industry supply chains. The study employed the quantitative research methodology. The statistical devices used included frequency, percentage and Structure Equation Modeling (SEM). The population and sample group comprised executives of the electronics industry in the electronics and electrical appliances sector in Thailand. The results revealed that the factors regarding the information technology system, leadership support and knowledge management had positive effects on the success of the knowledge management through electronics industry supply chains with the statistical significance (β) of 0.519, 0.621 and 0.448, respectively. However, the factors regarding human resource management affected the success of the knowledge management negatively at the statistical significance of 0.323. As for the effects of variables on the success of the knowledge management, it was found that the factors with the most positive indirect effects (IE) and total effects (TE) were those regarding 1) leadership support (IE = 0.278, TE = 0.278), 2) information technology system (IE = 0.233, TE = 0.233), and 3) knowledge management, which had a positive direct effect (DE) at 0.448 and a total effect (TE) at 0.448. However, the factors regarding human resource management had a negative indirect effect (IE) on the success of the knowledge management at -0.145.

This paper investigates how information technology (IT) companies in Malaysia, particularly those with Multimedia Super Corridor (MSC) status, perceived the importance and degree of implementation of knowledge management (KM) success factors in their organisations and how these factors impact on their performance. Data were generated from a questionnaire survey of 427 middle managers from 194 MSC-status companies operating in Malaysia. Although the IT companies are highly aware of the importance of KM, the factors were only moderately implemented, with the exclusion of removal of organisational constraints. Some significant interactions were found between the KM success factors and organisational performance. Such significant findings provide important information on whether the MSC-status companies perceived KM as important to their success. In addition, based on the empirical results, recommendations are made on how the companies could improve their performance by narrowing the gaps through better organising their KM practices from the right perspective. This paper provides new information not only in terms of filling the gap of the newness of KM practices in Malaysia, it also has implications on the relationships between KM success factors and the performance of the MSC-status IT organisations in Malaysia.
