ABSTRACT The purpose of the study is to describe the skill of reading Fable Story Texts on Writing Skills for Fable Story Texts of Class VIII Students of SMP Negeri 35 Padang. This type of research is quantitative with descriptive method. The design used in this study is design contribution. The population of this study was the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 35 Padang who were enrolled in the 2019/2020 school year, namely as many as 134 students. The sample in this study was determined by proportional random sampling of 25% of the population, namely 35 students. The data of this study were in the form of scores on the results of the test skills for reading fable text and tests of fable story writing skills. The data was obtained through two types of tests namely objective tests to measure the skill of reading fable story texts and performance tests to measure the writing skills of fable stories. The results of this study are three. First, the ability to read fable story texts in class VIII Padang Public Middle School 35 is in good qualification (B) with an average value of 77.55. Second, the skill to write fable story texts in grade VIII Padang Public Middle School 35 is in good qualification (B) with an average value of 73.97. Third, there is a contribution to the contribution of fable's text reading skills to the fable writing text skills of Grade VIII students of Padang State Middle School at 67.57%. It was concluded that the skill to read fable story texts contributed to the skill of writing fable story texts. Kata kunci: Kontribusi, Keterampilan membaca, Menulis, Teks Cerita Fabel

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is three. First, describe the reading skills of fable text comprehension of class VII students of SMP Negeri 25 Padang. Second, describing fable text writing skills of class VII students of SMP Negeri 25 Padang. Third, describe the contribution of reading skills to fable text comprehension on fable text writing skills of class VII students of SMP Negeri 25 Padang. The population of this study was the seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 25 Padang who were enrolled in the 2018/2019 school year, namely as many as 250 students. The sample in this study was determined by proportional random sampling of 20% of the population, which is 48 students. The data of this study were scores on the results of reading skills tests of fable text comprehension and scores on the results of fable text writing skills. The data was obtained through two types of tests, namely objektive to measure reading skills fable text comprehension and performance tests to measure fable text writing skills. The results of this study are three. First, reading skills of fable text comprehension of class VII students of SMP Negeri 25 Padang are in good qualification (B) with an average value of 81.31. Second, fable text writing skills of grade VII students of Padang Public Middle School 25 are in good qualification (B) with an average of 77.26. Third, there is a contribution of reading skills in fable text comprehension towards fable text writing skills of class VII students of Padang State Middle School at 53.29%. Kata Kunci: Kontribusi, keterampilan membaca                    pemahaman, keterampilan menulis teks fabel

ABSTRACT The purpose of this research there are three. First, describing news text writing skills. Second, describe the skills of listening to news texts. Third, describe the correlation of listening to news text skills with news text writing skills. This type of research is quantitative with descriptive method. The design of this research is correlational. The population in this research were all eighth grade students of class VIII SMP Negeri 34 of Padang who were enrolled in the 2018/2019 school year, namely 223 student. There are two variable in this research, namely the dependent variable (Y) the ability to write news text and the independent variable (X) the skill of listening to news text. The data in this study were scores on the skills of writing news texts and skills score listening to news texts. The instrument used is a test, which is an objective test for listening to news text skills and performance tests for news text writing skills. The results of this research are three. First, news text writing skills of class VIII SMP Negeri 34 of Padang are in good qualification (80,75). Second, listening to the news text skills of clas VIII SMP Negeri 34 of Padang are in good qualification (77,57). Third, listening to news text skill correlates with news text writing skills. Based on this , it can be conclude that to improve writing skills, listening skills must be improved.  Kata kunci : Korelasi, Menyimak, Menulis, dan Teks Berita

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is as follows. First, describe the critical reading skills of students of class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Mapat Tunggul Selatan. Second, it describes the writing skills text exposition of grade VIII SMP Negeri 1 Mapat Tunggul Selatan. Thirdly, analysing the contribution of the reading skills of critical writing skills text exposition of grade VIII SMP Negeri 1 Mapat Tunggul Selatan. Type of this research is a descriptive method quantitative research. The design of research i.e. research korelasional. This research population is grade VIII SMP Negeri 1 Mapat Tunggul Selatan 2018/2019 school year with a total of 50 people scattered in two classes. A sample of these studies amounted to 50 people. Sampling techniques in the study are the total sampling. Variables this research is critical reading skills as free variables (X) and writing skills text exposition as a variable (Y). The instruments used in this research is an objective test for critical reading skills and test performance for writing skills text Exposition. The results of the research there are three, as follows. First, critical reading skills of students of class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Mapat Tunggul Selatan qualified enough, with an average value of 57.08 is under the KKM (75). Second, the skills of writing a text exposition of grade VIII SMP Negeri 1 Mapat Tunggul Selatan qualified enough, with an average value of 59.67 is under the KKM (75). Third, there is a positive and significant contribution between critical reading skills with writing skills text exposition of grade VIII SMP Negeri 1 Mapat Tunggul Selatan at significant level 95% and the degrees of freedom (dk) = n-1 because thitung > ttabel IE 3.03 > 1.68.  Based on the results of this study it was concluded that there is a linear relationship between critical reading skills with writing skills text exposition of grade VIII SMP Negeri 1 Mapat Tunggul Selatan with a confidence level of 95%. In other words, if the student's critical reading skills are good, then the exposition text writing skills students are also good. In contrast, when bad Exposition text skills, then writing skills students also bad Exposition text. Kata Kunci: Kontribusi, Membaca Kritis, Menulis Teks Eksposisi

ABSTRACTThere are three aims of this study. First, describe the skills of listening to the news of VIII grade students of the Middle School Development at the UNP Laboratory Development. Second, describe the writing text skills of VIII grade students of the Middle School Development in the Construction of the UNP Laboratory. Third, describe the contribution of listening to the news with the writing text skills of  VIII grade students at the UNP Laboratory Development.The  type of this research is quantitative in terms of descriptive methods. The design used in this study is correlational design. The population of this study was the eighth grade students of the Middle School Development of the UNP Laboratory which was registered in the 2017/2018 school year, it was 168 students.The sample in this study was determined by proportional random sampling of 25% of the population, namely 42 students. The research data is in the form of scores on the skills test results of listening to the news and scores on the results of the test writing news text skills. The instrument of this study is an objective test to measure news listening skills and performance tests to measure news text writing skills.The results of this study are three. First, the skills to write news texts of  VIII grade students of the Middle School Development.The development of the UNP Laboratory is in accordance with the Good qualifications (B). Second, the skill of listening to the news text of VIII grade students of the Middle School Development of the UNP Laboratory Development in accordance with Good qualifications (B). Third, listening to news text skills contributed 32.72% to the news text writing skills of VIII grade students of the Middle School Development at the Construction of the UNP Laboratory.                    Kata Kunci: Kontribusi, Keterampilan Menyimak Berita, Keterampilan Menulis Teks Berita

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is three. First, describing reading skills understanding text of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 32 Padang. Second, describing the exposition for writing the text skills of Grade VIII students in Padang Middle School 32 Third, describing the correlation of reading skills in the text comprehension and the exposition for writing text skills for grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 32 Padang. This type of research is quantitative with descriptive method. The design used is correlational design. The study population was grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 32 Padang who were enrolled in the 2018/2019 school year, which was 196 students. The study sample was determined by proportional random sampling of 25% of the population, namely 49 students. The research data is in the form of a reading skill test score understanding and the score of the exsposition for writing the text exsposition. There are two instruments for this research, namely objective tests to measure reading skills, comprehension  and performance tests to measure the exsposition for writing text skills. Based on the results of this study, it was concluded that there was a significant correlation between reading skills, text comprehension, and exsposition writing skills in class VIII students of SMP Negeri 32 Padang. at the real level (α) of 95% with n-1 freedom degrees in other words if the reading skills of students 'exsposition text comprehension are good, then students' writing skills are also good. Conversely, if the reading skills of students 'exsposition text comprehension are bad then the students' writing exsposition text skills are also bad. Kata Kunci: Membaca Pemahaman, Keterampilan Menulis Teks, Eksposisi

This research was conducted with the aim of (1) to find out whether the improvement of short story writing skills using the media song of class VIII Muhammadiyah 1 Middle School Tidore Kepulauan. (2) To find out how to improve short story writing skills by using the media song of class VIII Muhammadiyah Middle School 1 Tidore Kepulauan. The method used in this research is quantitative descriptive method. The population in this study were grade VIII Muhammadiyah 1 Tidore Kepulauan Middle School as many as 25 students while the sample in this study was a total of 25 students as much as 100%. The results of this study are (1) Observation, Indonesian language teachers have taught students with learning material to write short stories through using song media and the teacher has carried out the learning process well in accordance with the Learning Implementation Plan (RPP); (2) Interviews, students interested and happy with learning to write short stories using song media. Media songs are very helpful for them in determining the theme they will make short stories. The theme presented is about friendship that is unique to their world; (3) The initial test (pretest) of students who get very good qualifications (SB) is 3 students by 12%, students who get good qualifications (B) as many as 5 students by 20%, students who get quite good qualifications (CB) as many as 9 students by 36%, students who get poor qualifications (KB) as many as 8 students by 32%, and students who get less qualifications (KS) as many as 0 students at 0%. Has not yet achieved an increase in value; (4) Final test (posttest) of students who get very good qualifications (SB) as many as 8 students by 32%, students who get good qualifications (B) as many as 11 students at 44%, students who get quite good qualifications (CB) as much as 4 students by 16%, students who get poor qualifications (KB) as much as 2 students by 8%, and students who get a score of 1 qualifier less (KS) as many as 0 students at 0%. It means that the use of song can improve students’ scoor in writing short story.

ABSTRACT The purpose of this research there are three. First, describe the environmental field vocabulary mastery of grade VIII SMP Negeri Padang 18. Second, it describes the writing skills text beritasiswa class VIII SMP Negeri Padang 18. Third, vocabulary mastery correlation describes the environmental field with the text of the news writing skills of students of class VIII SMP Negeri Padang 18. The theory associated with this research is a theory about the writing skills (a), (b) the text of the news, and (c) mastery of the vocabulary of the field of the environment.  This research type is quantitative descriptive method. The design used is a korelasional design. Population research is grade VIII SMP Negeri Padang 18 listed on the school year 2018/2019, namely 362 students. The research sample is determined by proportional random sampling of 20% of the population, namely 72 students. Research data in the form of score vocabulary mastery test results of the environmental field and score the writing skills test result text news. The data obtained through two types of tests i.e. objective tests to measure mastery of the vocabulary of the field of environmental and performance tests for measuring writing skills text news. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that vocabulary knowledge is correlated with writing skills text news. The better knowledge of vocabulary will be the better text news writing skills anyway. Thus, for the skilled writing text news grade VIII SMP Negeri Padang, 18 required mastery of the vocabulary. Kata kunci: Korelasi, Kosakata, Menulis, Teks Berita

Abstract: This study aims to find out the level of students' ability to comment on storybook by determining the intrinsic elements. The level of students' ability to comment on storybook researched based on the effect of speaking skill. The method used in this study is the experimental method with quantitative approach. The data obtained by using the description test through recorder and oral test. Based on the story that has been read by the teacher, 38 eighth grade students who are chosen as the respondents are asked to retell the story in front of the class. The assessment given to the respondents include clarity, speech fluency, pronunciation fluency, intonation, word choice accuracy, body flexibility, subject mastery, and completeness. The results of this study indicate that in the post-test, the speaking skill of students reach an average value of 65.58, or categorized fair. Meanwhile, in the post-test, the students reach an average value of 80.21, or categorized good. Therefore, it can be concluded from the results that there speaking skill has an effect on students’ ability to comment on storybook in class VIII of Private Middle School in Medan. ABSTRACT The purpose of this study consists of three things as follows. First, it describes the level of reading skills in understanding the short stories of students of class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Padang. Secondly, it describes the level of short story writing skills of students of VIII SMP Negeri 1 Padang. Third, describe the relationship between reading skills understanding short stories and short story writing skills of students of VIII SMP Negeri 1 Padang. The variables of this research are the short story comprehension reading skills as the X variable and the short story writing text writing skills as the Y variable. The research data were the scores of the short story reading comprehension test skills of the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Padang and the scores of the results of the short story writing skills text review of the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Padang. The results of this study consisted of three things as follows. First, the reading skills of the short story comprehension of Grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 1 Padang are in the Qualification More Than Enough with an average count of 67.01. Second, the short story writing skills of the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Padang in short story writing are in the Fair qualifications with an average count of 62.15. ABSTRACTThis research is a type of descriptive research. This study aims to determine; Comparison of interest in learning in volleyball games between Sungguminasa SMPN I students of Gowa Regency and Sungguminasa SMPN I students.                The population is all students of SMPN I Sungguminasa, Gowa Regency and students of SMPN 3 Sungguminasa, Gowa Regency. The sample used was grade VIII students. A Sunggiminasa SMPN I as many as 30 people and eighth grade students. A SMPN 3 Sunggiminasa Gowa Regency as many as 30 people. The technique of determining the sample is to use saturated samples. The data analysis technique used is descriptive frequency analysis. The results showed that: 1) Interest in learning in volleyball games in students of SMPN I Sungguminasa in Gowa Regency was 124.17 in average value 2) Interest in learning in volleyball games in students in SMPN 3 in Sungguminasa in Gowa Regency was 113.93 in average. In this case, the students of Sungguminasa I Public Middle School have a higher interest in learning volleyball compared to the students of Sungguminasa I Public Middle School ABSTRAKPenelitian ini adalah jenis penelitian deskriptif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui; Perbandingan minat belajar dalam permainan bolavoli antara siswa SMPN I Sungguminasa Kabupaten Gowa dengan siswa SMPN I Sungguminasa Kabupaten Gowa. Populasinya adalah seluruh  dan siswa/siswi SMPN I Sungguminasa Kabupaten Gowa dan siswa SMPN 3 Sungguminasa Kabupaten Gowa. Sampel yang digunakan adalah siswa/siswi kelas VIII. A  SMPN I Sunggiminasa Kabupaten Gowa sebanyak 30 orang dan siswa/siswi kelas VIII. A  SMPN 3 Sunggiminasa Kabupaten Gowa sebanyak 30 orang. Teknik penentuan sampel adalah dengan menggunakan sampel jenuh. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif frekuensi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Minat belajar dalam permainan bolavoli pada siswa SMPN I Sungguminasa Kabupaten Gowa sebesar 124,17 nilai rata-ratanya 2) Minat belajar dalam permainan bolavoli pada siswa SMPN 3 Sungguminasa Kabupaten Gowa sebesar 113,93 nilai rata-ratanya. Dalam hal ini siswa SMP Negeri I Sungguminasa Kabupaten Gowa memiliki minat belajar dalam permainan bolavoli yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan  siswa SMP Negeri I Sungguminasa Kabupaten Gowa.
