Two types of errors are one of the important topics in hypothesis testing. Studying the two types of errors is not only studying how the procedure determines the probability of making an error, but it is very important to study the theoretical concepts of the two types of errors. To achieve this goal, a learning design is needed that can facilitate students to construct their own concepts of the two types of errors. The learning design developed is local instructional theory resulting from the cyclic process of hypothetical learning trajectory. The type of research used is design research using the model developed by Gravemeijer and Cobb. The test subjects used in this study were students of the Ma thematics Education Study Program, FMIPA UNP who took the Elementary Statistics Course in the July – December 2019 semester. This research resulted in a very practical local instructional theory used to facilitate students in carrying out horizontal and vertical mathematization processes, so that students are able to construct their own concepts of two types of errors in hypothesis testing.

This study aims to produce a learning trajectory using takraw teams context in helping students to understand the concept of combinations. This research used design research to give in developing local instructional theory in learning combinations. Learning trajectory designed in the early phases and tested on 36 tenth-grade students in SMA N 15 Palembang. This result is a learning trajectory  which consists of 3 activities using takraw teams context:1) student do role-play scene of selecting main teams and handshake between players, this supports students to understanding in combinations order doesn’t matter. 2) students analyze the general pattern of combination with the knowledge of students about the factorial. 3) student solve problems related to combination helps students in thinking about how to solve a real-world problem related to combination. From the resulting activity can be concluded that learning to use takraw teams context can help students understand the concept of combinations.

Peran guru tak lebih dari seorang fasilitator, moderator atau evaluator. sedangkan peran siswa lebih banyak aktif untuk berfikir dan mengkomunikasikan argumentasinya, menjustifikasi jawaban, serta melatih nuansa demokrasi dengan menghargai pendapat atau strategi teman lain. Penelitian ini bertujuan menghasilkan Local Instructional Theory (LIT) dalam pembelajaran materi hubungan antar garis yang mendukung pemahaman konsep siswa di kelas IV Sekolah Dasar. Pada materi ini, menuntut siswa dapat menyelesaikan permasalahan hubungan antar garis secara kontekstual. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas IV MI Fajar Siddiq Palembang. Metode yang digunakan adalah design research terdiri dari tiga tahap, yaitu: preliminary design, design experiment (pilot experiment dan teaching experiment), dan retrospective analysis. Namun pada penelitian ini hanya dilakukan sampai pada tahap pilot experiment. Penelitian ini mengembangkan hasil pembelajaran hubungan antar garis dengan menunjukkan aktivitas dan prosedur serta strategi siswa dalam menemukan ide atau strategi dalam mendeskripsikan materi hubungan antar garis. Pada bagian ini, akan dibahas penggunaan garis lurus sebagai starting point pembelajaran hubungan antar garis dengan Pendidikan Matematika Realistik Indonesia (PMRI) sebagai pendekatan yang mendukung aktivitas dari penggunaan konteks tersebut. Selain itu, perubahan dari Hypothetical Learning Trajectory (HLT) ke Learning Trajectory (LT) melalui aktivitas, dilakukan dengan pengumpulan data menggunakan lembar observasi, wawancara, rekaman video, foto, dan lembar aktivitas siswa

AbstrakPecahan merupakan salah satu topik matematika yang hampir selalu menjadi masalah bagi siswa sekolah dasar (SD). Masalah tersebut muncul karena umumnya siswa tidak memahami konsep pecahan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian desain (design research) yang dirancang untuk memberikan suatu pertimbangan yang baik terhadap proses pembelajaran operasi pecahan melalui dugaan-dugaan yang dibangun dalam kerangka analisis hypotetical learning trajectory (HLT) yang kemudian diujicobakan dalam pembelajaran matematika realistik (PMR). PMR mendasari dari seluruh kegiatan penelitian desain riset.  Hasil penelitian ini tergambar dari teori instruksional lokal (local instructional theory). Design research dilakukan dalam tiga tahap, yaitu desain pendahuluan, percobaan mengajar yang terdiri siklus 1 dan siklus 2, dan tahap ketiga analisis retrospektif.  Penelitian melibatkan menggunakan sampel sebanyak 29 siswa kelas V di SDI Nurul Hasanah yang terdiri 4 orang siswa pada siklus satu dan 25 siswa pada siklus kedua.  Hasil penelitian dapat menunjukan bahwa serangkaian kegiatan pembelajaran dengan PMR dapat membawa siswa dari situasi konkret menuju situasi yang lebih formal.  Siswa mampu mengerjakan bilangan pecahan dari bentuk kontektual dengan disertai alasan. Learning Design Fractions through Realistic Approach in Class VAbstractFractions is one of  the mathematics topic that are almost to be problem for elementary school (SD) . This problem arises because generally studenst do no understand about concept of fraction. This research is design research  designed to provide a good consideration of learning process of  fractional operations through allegations built in framework analysis hypotetical learning trajectory (HLT), which later tested in learning mathematics realistic (PMR). PMR underlies all research design research activities. The results of this study are drawn from local instructional theory. Design research is carried out in three stages, namely preliminary design, teaching experiment consisting of cycle 1 and cycle 2, and the third stage of retrospective analysis. The study involved using a sample of 29 grade V students at SDI Nurul Hasanah consisting of 4 students in cycle one and 25 students in the second cycle. The results of the study can show that a series of learning activities with PMR can bring students from concrete situations to a more formal situation. Students are able to work fractions of a contextual form with reason.

In late November 2020, there was a flurry of media coverage of two companies’ claims of 95% efficacy rates of newly developed COVID-19 vaccines, but information about the confidence interval was not reported. This paper presents a way of teaching the concept of hypothesis testing and the construction of confidence intervals using numbers announced by the drug makers Pfizer and Moderna publicized by the media. Instead of a two-sample test or more complicated statistical models, we use the elementary one-proportion z-test to analyze the data. The method is designed to be accessible for students who have only taken a one-semester elementary statistics course. We will justify the use of a z-distribution as an approximation for the confidence interval of the efficacy rate. Bayes’s rule will be applied to relate the probability of being in the vaccine group among the volunteers who were infected by COVID-19 to the more consequential probability of being infected by COVID-19 given that the person is vaccinated.

Matematika adalah mata pelajaran yang abstrak. Pecahan merupakan salah satu topik bahasan dari matematika yang hampir selalu menjadi masalah bagi siswa sekolah dasar (SD). Masalah tersebut muncul karena umumnya siswa tidak memahami konsep pecahan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian desain (design research) yang dirancang untuk memberikan suatu dugaan-dugaan pertimbangan yang baik terhadap proses pembelajaran operasi pecahan dalam kerangka analisis hypotetical learning trajectory (HLT) yang kemudian diujicobakan dalam pembelajaran pecahan dengan model Mathematics Realistik Education (RME). Metode penelitian design research dilakukan dalam tiga tahap, yaitu desain pendahuluan, percobaan, dan tahap ketiga analisis retrospektif. Sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 30 siswa kelas V di SD N 02 Cirendeu yang terdiri 4 orang siswa pada siklus satu dan 26 siswa pada siklus kedua. Hasil penelitian ini tergambar dari teori instruksional lokal (local instructional theory). Hasil penelitian dapat menunjukan bahwa serangkaian kegiatan pembelajaran dengan Realistic Mathematic Education (RME) dengan media pizza dan origami dapat membawa siswa dari situasi abstrak menuju situasi yang lebih nyata (konkret). Siswa mampu mengerjakan bilangan pecahan dalam bentuk kontektual

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mengembangkan multimedia pembelajaran pada mata kuliah Pengetahuan Alat Pengolahan dan Penyajian Makanan yang layak digunakan pada mahasiswa program studi Tata Boga. (2) mengetahui efektifitas multimedia pembelajaran pada mata kuliah Pengetahuan Alat Pengolahan dan Penyajian Makanan program studi Tata Boga. Penelitian menggunakan model pengembangan produk Borg and Gall yang dipadu dengan model desain pembelajaran dari Dick and Carey. Metode penelitian ini terdiri dari dua tahapan, yang mana pada tahap I merupakan tahap uji coba produk yang terdiri dari: (1) validasi ahli desain pembelajaran, (2) validasi ahli materi pelajaran, (3) validasi ahli media pembelajaran, (4) uji coba perorangan, (5) uji coba kelompok kecil, dan (6) uji coba lapangan terbatas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) uji ahli desain pembelajaran berada pada kualifikasi sangat baik (82,17%), (2) uji ahli materi berada pada kualifikasi sangat baik (89,5%), (3) uji ahli media berada pada kualifikasi sangat baik (85%), (4) uji coba perorangan berada pada kualifikasi sangat baik (87%),  (5) uji coba kelompok kecil berada pada kualifikasi sangat baik (86%), dan (6) uji coba lapangan terbatas berada pada kualifikasi sangat baik (83,8%). Kata Kunci: multimedia, pembelajaran, pengetahuan alat pengolahan dan penyajian makanan Abstract: This study aims to: (1) develop learning multimedia in the subject of Knowledge Processing and Presentation Tools that are suitable for use in culinary study program students. (2) knowing the effectiveness of learning multimedia in the subject of Food Processing and Food Processing Program Knowledge and Processing Tools. The study used the Borg and Gall product development model combined with learning design models from Dick and Carey. This research method consists of two stages, which in stage I is the product testing phase which consists of: (1) validation of learning design experts, (2) expert material validation, (3) validation of learning media experts, (4) test try individuals, (5) small group trials, and (6) limited field trials. The results showed: (1) the learning design expert test was in very good qualification (82.17%), (2) the material expert test was in very good qualification (89.5%), (3) the media expert test was in the qualification very good (85%), (4) individual trials are in very good qualifications (87%), (5) small group trials are in very good qualifications (86%), and (6) limited field trials are at very good qualification (83.8%). Keywords: multimedia, learning, knowledge of processing and serving food

This article presents the results of a 7th-grade classroom teaching experiment that supported students' understanding of integer addition and subtraction. The experiment was conducted to test and revise a hypothetical learning trajectory so as to propose a potential instructional theory for integer addition and subtraction. The instructional sequence, which was based on a financial context, was designed using the Realistic Mathematics Education theory. Additionally, an empty, vertical number line (VNL) is posited as a potentially viable model to support students' organizing their addition and subtraction strategies. Particular emphasis is placed on the mathematical practices that were established in this setting. These practices indicate that students can successfully draw on their experiences with assets, debts, and net worths to create meaning for integer addition and subtraction.

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan: (1) Menghasilkan modul perencanaan pembelajaran berbasis integrative learning design framework yang layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran; (2) mengetahui kelayakan modul perencanaan pembelajaran berbasis integrative learning design framework; (3) mengetahui keefektifan modul perencanaan pembelajaran berbasis integrative learning design framework. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dan pengembangan (Research & Development), Penelitian dan pengembangan ini terdiri dari tiga tahap yaitu pra pengembangan modul, pengembangan modul dan penerapan modul dimana penelitian mengacu pada R & D cycle Borg & Gall. Penelitian dilakukan di Program Studi Pendidikan Teknik Mesin UNIMED pada matakuliah Perencanaan Pembelajaran dan Pengembangan di semester 3 melalui validasi ahli, uji coba perorangan, ujicoba kelompok kecil, dan ujicoba utama. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) menghasilkan modul perencanaan pembelajaran berbasis integrative learning design framework yng digunakan dalam pembelajaran; (2) modul perencanaan pembelajaran berbasis integrative learning design framework layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran; (3) modul perencanaan pembelajaran berbasis integrative learning design framework efektif dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar mahasiswa.  Kata Kunci: modul, perencanaan pembelajaran, integrative learning, framework Abstract: This study aims: (1) To produce a learning planning module based on an integrative learning design framework that is suitable for use in learning; (2) determine the feasibility of an integrative learning design framework based learning planning module; (3) determine the effectiveness of the learning planning module based on the integrative learning design framework. This research is a research and development (Research & Development). This research and development consists of three stages, namely pre-module development, module development and module application where the research refers to the Borg & Gall R & D cycle. The research was conducted at the Mechanical Engineering Education Study Program of UNIMED in the Learning and Development Planning course in the 3rd semester through expert validation, individual trials, small group trials, and main trials. This study aims to describe the effect of application of SQ3R method and PQ3R method to students' reading skill. This research uses experimental method, Quasi Experimental Design research form with Nonequivalent Control Group Design design. Population in this research is all student of Study Program of Language and Literature of Indonesia semester 6 which amounted to 243. The sample used is class C Morning and class C afternoon obtained by simple random sampling technique. The technique used is the measurement with the tool in the form of reading test in the form of multiple choice which amounted to 30 items. Data analysis technique used in this research is anava 2 lane. Based on the result of data analysis, it is known that the application of SQ3R method and PQ3R method is good with the details as follows: (1) The average value before given treatment 20,476 with enough category; (2) the average application of the SQ3R method is 22.097 with good category; (3) the average percentage of PQ3R method is 22,045 with good category.   Keywords: method SQ3R, PQ3R method, read     Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh penerapan metode SQ3R dan metode PQ3R terhadap keterampilan membaca mahasiswa. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia semester 6 yang berjumlah 243. Sampel yang digunakan yaitu kelas C Pagi dan kelas C sore yang diperoleh dengan Teknik simple random sampling. Teknik yang digunakan yaitu pengukuran dengan alatnya berupa tes membaca berupa pilihan ganda yang berjumlah 30 butir soal. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah anava 2 jalur. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, diketahui bahwa penerapan metode SQ3R dan Metode PQ3R tergolong baik dengan rincian sebagai berikut: (1) Nilai rata-rata sebelum diberikan perlakuan 20,476 dengan kategori cukup; (2)  rata-rata penerapan metode SQ3R sebesar 22,097 dengan katergori baik; (3) persentase rata-rata metode PQ3R sebesar 22,045 denga kategori baik.   Kata kunci: metode SQ3R, metode PQ3R, membaca
