This paper is devoted to comparing three communication methods between mobile applications and servers. The analysis encompassed the results of six tests conducted using HTTP and HTTPS protocols, and server-socket technology. All sending times of data with various sizes between the client application and the server, and the impact of this operation on the processor load and battery use, were evaluated. The experiments consisted of sending and receiving a form, sending and receiving a large photo, and ensuring continuous communication to assess device use. To perform the analyses, an Android application was created to support the researched technology, while the server side was composed of programs written in Java, running on a Tomcat server. The conducted research made it possible to establish the best solution, which is server-socket technology.

The Tuition Payment Information System was designed because at this time the payment of tuition at SMP Islam Cilacap still uses the general ledger, causing inaccuracies in payment data by employees (administrative). The purpose of this research is to help solve problems in the processing of tuition payment data, making payment data reports, searching payment data, knowing payment data information, and knowing the school money payment report. The system is designed using MVC (Model-View-Controller) architecture and SMS Gateway notifications as well as system development methods using System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) with Waterfall model. In addition, the system design uses PHP and HTML programming languages, database management is MySQL and uses the Laravel framework. Based on the results of the system test and the results of the questionnaire by 10 respondents that 14% stated enough, 44% stated well and 42% stated very well calculated by the calculation of the Likert scale of 86% entered the excellent qualification which means successful. So it can be concluded that this system can solve existing problems by facilitating the processing of payment data, assisting in the creation of school money payment reports, helping in speeding up the search for payment data, knowing the payment information of tuition without having to come to school, and knowing the payment data report quickly without having to go through a long recap process.

This paper summarizes research on Web-based spatial decision support systems (WebSDSS). The review distinguishes early server-side from more recent client-side applications. A third category of WebSDSS focusing on spatial decision support in public participation is typically implemented as a mixed client/server-based system. Conclusions drawn from previous work include the need for systematic user studies of WebSDSS, and the adoption of interoperable architectures for distributed spatial decision support. Furthermore, a conceptual framework is proposed to facilitate further studies of WebSDSS methods.

Efficient authentication and key agreement protocols between two entities are required in many application areas. In particular, for client–server type of architectures, the client is mostly represented by a constrained device and thus highly efficient protocols are needed. We propose in this paper two protocols enabling the construction of a mutual authenticated key ensuring anonymity and unlinkability of the client and resisting the most well known attacks. The main difference between the two proposed protocols is in the storage requirements on the server side. The innovation of our protocols relies on the fact that, thanks to the usage of the sponge construction, available in the newly proposed SHA3 standard with underlying Keccak design, the computation cost can be reduced to only one hash operation on the client side in case of the protocol with storage and two hash operations for the protocol without storage and thus leads to a very efficient solution.

Scholarship is a very important need for the students to be able to continue their education, especially for disadvantaged groups as well as achievement. Diponegoro University as one of the State institutions strive to provide assistance in the form of scholarships for students to be able to carry out their studies. However, the distribution of these scholarships often have many constraints experienced by students as time is too sudden, and difficulties in completing other requirements. Application Scholarship Information Systems, University of Diponegoro is one way to overcome the distribution of scholarships at the University of Diponegoro. This application helps in increasing the speed of Diponegoro University and management in the distribution of scholarships to students. The stage in this application uses several stages of literature and guidance, data collection and analysis (interviews, observations and information files), design, manufacture of system / application and final implementation commonly referred to as the waterfall method. This method is very appropriate in this study because it has applications like workflow that allows designers to evaluate the application without having to change from the bottom. While the design of the application using UML modeling. This application is based on the Code Igniter framework which uses MVC method (Model, View, Controller) with every event organized by function application specified in the controller. In the testing phase, the application was tested in the scope of its functions. As a result, every function can be run smoothly and Information Systems Scholarship applications can be implemented. Information Systems Scholarship applications can run smoothly in the Code Igniter framework along with its functions. However, these applications are not fully using the PHP programming language in its function, there are languages that work client side Javascript that helps in performing certain functions. It is recommended not to disable javascript in a user's browser or will affect the application does not work properly.

Abstract - Drones as Unmanned Aerial Vehicle that are controlled using remote control are experiencing better development. The speed of the drone that cannot be accessed on the remote control can be determined through a client-server based application. The client side application, named Mydrone, is placed on the drone while on the server side, named Admin Drone, on earth. Mydrone and Admin Drone are applications made in this research based on andorid. This application on the client and server is used to monitor the speed of flying drones by using the Google Play Service library. Data sent from the client to the server in realtime by using Google Firebase. From the tests carried out it can be seen the speed of the drone when flying horisontal ly, while when flying vertically the speed is not detected. Battery capacity will also decrease when the speed of the drone gets faster, this is seen in the data when the speed is 8,741 km / h, the electricity demand taken from the battery is 31%.
