This study aimed at investigating the effect of Blended Method (online and offline teaching and learning) and Traditional Method (offline teaching and learning), as the comparison, on students’ reading achievement. There were 200 college students involved in this study. Half of them were taught through a blended teaching method and half of them were taught through a traditional teaching method. The data were taken from the students’ final scores in the lectures which included scores of assignment, quiz, mid-term test, and final term test. The final scores of the two groups were compared to find out the effect of the blended teaching method and the traditional teaching method. The result showed that the scores of students who were taught through Blended Method were significantly better than the scores of students who were taught through Traditional Method. It indicates that utilizing new methods while maintaining good aspects of pre-existing methods has a positive impact on students’ achievement

Recently, global trends in technological development have brought about innovations in educational paradigms, thus giving rise to significant adoption of learner-centered and problem-centered approaches with greater potential to impart the next generation of learners compared to a more dominant teacher-centered approach. In view of this, this study presents result of the effects of innovative pedagogy integration in computer craft practices among technical college students in Enugu State, Nigeria. Result shows that innovative pedagogies applied in teaching and learning of computer craft practices were more effective in enhancing learning outcomes than the conventional teaching method. Based on this, the study concludes that computing teachers should become more creative in their day-to-day teaching activities by adopting innovative teaching approaches that can make teaching and learning of computing studies more engaging to learners.

Vocational training of students in diet habits and active lifestyle habits has recently become an important issue, given the health problems caused as a result of a poor diet. The objective of this study is to analyze the effectiveness of different training actions (traditional method and digital resources) carried out in a program of dietary habits and active lifestyle at the vocational training stage. A quasi-experimental design of the pre-post type was developed. A sample of 177 participants was chosen. The instrument to collect the data was the validated ECHAES questionnaire. The results show that all study groups demonstrated similar averages across all dimensions, except in the digital resource post-test design, where the averages were higher than the rest. There was a significant relationship between the traditional teaching method and the post-test digital resources design in all dimensions. There was also a significant relationship between the pre-test and post-test of the traditional teaching method and the digital resource group in the dimensions. It can be concluded that both the traditional and the innovative method lead to learning in the vocational training student, although the values achieved by the group where the innovative method was adopted were much higher than in the traditional group.

51 regularly enrolled law students in 3 matched groups were taught a portion of criminal law after pretesting. The analysis of covariance on the posttests showed that a program designed to teach content and application was superior ( p < .01) to both the traditional teaching method and a program designed to teach content alone. Both programs were superior ( p < .01) to the traditional method in teaching either content or ability to apply content. It was concluded that the acquisition and application of complex abstract material can be taught efficiently with programmed material.

Discuss the method and effect of problem-based teaching method (PBL) in the teaching of physics experiment in junior high school. Method: A total of 92 students in two junior high school classes were selected, and one of them was randomly set as the experimental group (46 students) and the other one was the control group (456 students). The experimental group added PBL teaching on the basis of traditional teaching methods. Methods, the control group was taught according to the traditional teaching method only, and finally the teaching effect of the two groups was compared. Results: The physics performance of the experimental group was significantly higher than that of the traditional teaching group (P<0.05). The students in the experimental group were better than traditional teaching in subjective evaluations such as learning initiative, learning interest, thinking ability training, practical ability, and innovation ability. Conclusion: The PBL teaching model is more adapted to the development of the times, and the effect is better than traditional teaching. It can combine the learning and practical skills of students, and the comprehensive ability can be greatly improved.

Objective: To evaluate the effect of the sandwich teaching model on the learning effect of nursing students. Methods: The Chinese and English databases of CNKI, WanFang, Vip, superstar, and PubMed were searched by computer, and the data were analyzed by Rev Man 5.3 software after literature quality evaluation. Results: Meta-analysis showed that the theoretical and operational performance of the nursing students in the sandwich teaching method was better than that of the traditional teaching group. Conclusion: The sandwich approach was superior to the traditional teaching method in the learning outcomes of nursing students.

As a foundational approach in inferential statistics, hypothesis testing (HT) is considered as one of the most challenging topics for teaching and learning. A promising approach is through the consideration of students’ learning modalities, as demonstrated in vast applications; however, contentions that surround the use of learning modality in education exist in recent debates. The cause of this unrest is the lack of robust empirical evidence on the efficacy of learning modalities in education. Thus, this work attempts to contribute to this debate and investigates whether sensory modality does influence learning. It develops an approach for teaching HT to college students via learning modality. Results show that learning modalities have a positive impact on students’ performance on competencies in learning HT. Furthermore, it was found out that some learning modalities work together on learning specific competencies. Lastly, the task-dependency of learning modalities was observed in the results of the experiment.

As network environment is becoming more and more complex, it is difficult for students to understand and master the complex and abstract network concepts. A virtual learning tool named Cisco Packet Tracer has been introduced into the classroom teaching, which provides the virtual configuration environment as real one. This article presents the features of the virtual simulation tool, and the configuration example for mini practice project, which can inspire students creativity. It makes teaching and learning computer network much easier than traditional teaching method.

Chemistry is often perceived as being a dry and boring science subject, probably because of traditional teaching method, static textbook, lack of interactivity and difficulty in visualization of the abstract chemical concepts. E-learning resources (e-resources) and the utilization of technology have become one of the major trends in education, replacing the conventional textbook and traditional talk and chalk teaching method. A study was undertaken to assess students’ perceptions of the impact of the e-resources and technology on various aspects of their learning. Data were collected through a questionnaire involving 28 undergraduates, who were taking first-year Chemistry course in Taylor’s University, Malaysia. A Moodle e-Learning platform was made available to the students, where the students can assess e-resources anytime and anywhere. Innovative technologies such as mobile clicker, simulation and augmented reality (AR) were integrated into classroom instruction. Most of the students found the e-resources provided useful and well prepared them for the assessments in the course. Their understanding and ability to answer questions had improved. They were motivated to study the subject because it was more interactive and engaging. Overall findings showed that these e-resources and innovative technologies gave positive impact on students learning in chemistry.
