Environment plays a very significant role in human civilization. Human beings have close relations with the biosphere in which they live. The whole environment and ecology consisting of earth, air, water, plants and animals provide the necessary and sufficient conditions for sustaining human life. The last few centuries have been dominated by human beings, and are referred to by some scholars as ‘anthropocene’, or a period of human domination over the planet. This domination has impacted the planet, leading to the rapid depletion of wildlife and their habitat. In the last few decades, growing human populations and their consumption levels, accompanied by greater need for water, electricity, metal, food, housing and other luxury items has led to the quick erosion of other species. This loss of species has been guesstimated by various scholars at anywhere between one per hour to one per day. Although human beings are considered the most intelligent life form on earth, they are responsible for most of the damage done to planet earth. Developing countries as well as developed countries alike are all suffering from environmental pollution. Therefore, today environmental problems have been the object of discussion everywhere from village to parliament.

Environment plays a very significant role in human civilization. Human beings have close relations with the bio- sphere in which they live. The whole environment and ecology consisting of earth, air, water, plants and animals provide the necessary and sufficient conditions for sustaining human life. In Yajurveda and Vedic sages pure wa- ter, air etc. are the roots to good health and happiness and hence they considered all these as gods. The Vedic peo- ple desired to live a life of hundred years and this wish can be fulfilled only when the environment will be unpol- luted, clean, and peaceful. Today, the environmental crisis is a tremendous problem for the whole world as it is suffering from environmental pollution. Therefore, today environmental problems have been the object of discus- sion everywhere from village to parliament. Air Pollution is by far the most rapidly growing problem of modern technological society. Although the world has already addressed this issue and has also taken steps to minimize it a lot more than this is needed. The damage which our hunger for ease of living had already caused is irreparable by just making laws, rules & regulations. We need strong implementation of it as well as general awareness and contribution from everyone. Ayurveda can play a vital role in fighting this battle for cleaning the air and minimiz- ing air pollution; it could even emerge as ‘SanjeevaniBooti’. There's no need of proving the worth of Vedic science to our society as it is now worldwide accepted and part of everyone’s life. Recent Ayurveda studies have shown positive results in dealing effectively with the evil of air pollution.

Currently smoking is estimated to be responsible for 3 million deaths annually worldwide, or about 6% of all deaths. But by the 2020’s or early 2030’s, it is expected to cause 10.9% of all deaths in developing countries and 17.7% of those in developed countries, more than any single disease. Smoking is probable cause of about 25 diseases; hence its impact on global disease is tremendous. About one-third of the global population aged 15 and over is indulged in smoking. In the light of the global impact of tobacco on human life, it is imperative that stronger measures be taken to persuade those who are indulged in smoking. The present study conducted on 100 male participants (18-45 years) of Kashmir, J&K (India) enlightens us to shows various motivational factors behind smoking. The motivational factors are all perceived as being positive reasons to continue smoking. It is important for us to understand exactly why we smoke. Stimulation, Handling, Pleasurable, Relaxation, Crutch, Craving and Habit are the most important motivational factors behind smoking. These seven motivational factors can easily be changed by appropriate measures. It is hoped that the present study gives information on how medical professionals, health workers, clinicians and other allied agencies should tackle the problem. We would be pleased to receive any feedback on the usefulness of this study and suggestions on how to improve it.

Waste has always been a part of human life settlement and we have been either very careless with our waste by discarding it into the streets, the air, water, and in our backyards, or consciously dumping it close to those least powerful segments of the society at all times. Waste has been a problem for human beings and people have been least concerned about its eco-friendly disposal. Developed countries came up with many programmes, regulations and policies to address the municipal solid waste crisis, but still it is an unresolved problem. Municipal solid waste management is still a complex issue everywhere in the globalized and techno scientific world due to the carefree mindset, rapid urbanization process, unscientific development process and lack of social responsibility. In these circumstances, municipal solid waste managementcannot be addressed by mere technological innovations or adoptions. Moreover, the responsibility of municipal solid waste managementcannot be left to the Government alone. Instead, participation of various stakeholders needs to be ensured and coordinated for achieving sustainability. Taking Thiruvananthapuram Municipal Corporation in the state of Kerala, India as a case, this paper discusses the extent and ways in which various stakeholders engage in the two main approaches for municipal solid waste management, namely- centralized approach and decentralized approach. The research study was conducted during the period June, 2020 to December, 2020.

We estimate the public debt sustainability for 53 developing countries divided into different regions using data from 1996 to 2017. Sustainability of public debt calculation is based on theoretically derived models with necessary and sufficient conditions. Current study empirically validates the importance of least evident saving-investment gap along with other variables in public debt sustainability issue. Findings show that current account, fiscal account and saving-investment gap imbalances cause unsustainable public debt for all different regions which is a matter of great concern for each region. Policy makers of the developing countries must bring policies to promote investment activities backed by saving not by debt.

An overview of information technologies used in online education is given. The most promising directions were noted, as well as the necessary and sufficient conditions for their introduction into everyday life. Technologies with full and selective interactivity, intelligent training systems, information modeling technologies, hypertext learning systems are considered. The problems that the teachers inevitably encounter when submitting theoretical material are shown. The ways of the decision on overcoming the language barrier which can arise at acquaintance with electronic variants of training of the developed countries of the world are outlined. A forecast for the future is made for online education. Particular attention is paid to preparing the ground for the development of online education directly in our university.

Ethical Naturalism attempts to explain the objective normativity effective in human practices by reference to the relation between a living individual and the life-form it exhibits. This explanation falls short in the case of human beings (1) - not merely because of their essential rationality, but because the idea of normativity implicit in practice is dependent on the form of normativity?s being made explicit (2). I argue that this explicit form of normativity?s force and claim - the law in general - implies a tension between an explicit norm?s claim to absoluteness and the particularity of the situational case it is applied to. This tension may seem to produce an inherent violence corrupting the very idea of objective normativity inherent in the human form of life (3); in fact, it shows that the human form of life is essentially political. That the human form of life is essentially political does not contradict the idea of objective normativity - provided that this objectivity is not derived from a conception of ?natural goodness?, but rather from the actuality of human practice and its principle, justice (4).

The Laplace transform of the extinction time is determined for a general birth and death process with arbitrary catastrophe rate and catastrophe size distribution. It is assumed only that the birth rates satisfyλ0= 0,λj> 0 for eachj> 0, and. Necessary and sufficient conditions for certain extinction of the population are derived. The results are applied to the linear birth and death process (λj=jλ, µj=jμ) with catastrophes of several different types.

Nutrition is important for human health in all stages of life - from conception to old age. Today we know much more about the molecular basis of nutrition. Most importantly, we have learnt that micronutrients, among other factors, interact with genes, and new science is increasingly providing more tools to clarify this interrelation between health and nutrition. Sufficient intake of vitamins is essential to achieve maximum health benefit. It is well established that in developing countries, millions of people still suffer from micronutrient deficiencies. However, it is far less recognized that we face micronutrient insufficiencies also in developed countries.
