Rice is one of the staples of Indonesian society. Development of rice cultivation can be carried out on Inceptisol soils. This land has a wide distribution of around 70.52 million, but it has an unfavorable fertility rate so fertilization is needed in order to increase fertility and yield of lowland rice. This study aims to determine the effect of a combination of liquid organic fertilizer and N, P, K fertilizer on C-Organic, N-Total, N uptake and Yield (Oryza Sativa L.) on Inceptisol from Jatinangor. The experiment was held on March 2019 until July 2019 at Ciparanje Experimental Field and Laboratory Soil Chemistry and Plant Nutrition, Faculty of Agriculture, Padjadjran University, Jatinangor, Sumedang. The experimental design was Randomized Block Design with ten treatments and three replications. The result of study showed that the combination of liquid organic fertilizer and N, P, K is affected on organic C, total N, N uptake and rice yield. The application of one liquid organik fertilizer and ¾ N, P, K gave the best rice yield of 8,55 kg/plot or equal to 6,84 ton/ha.

The application of pig slurry may have a different effect on nitrogen dynamics in soil compared to mineral fertilization. Thus, the aim of this study was to determine the different forms of organic N in a Latossolo Vermelho distroférrico (Typic Hapludox) and their relationship to N uptake by crops in response to 10 years of annual application of pig slurry and mineral fertilizer. The treatments were application rates of 0, 25, 50, 100, and 200 m3 ha-1 of pig slurry, in addition to mineral fertilizer, organized in a randomized block design with four replications. The N contents were determined in the plant tissue and in the forms of total N and acid hydrolyzed fractions: ammonium-N, hexosamine-N, α-amino-N, amide-N, and unidentified-N. Annual application of pig slurry or mineral fertilizer increased the total-N content in the 0-10 cm depth layer. The main fractions of organic N in the soil were α-amino-N when pig slurry was applied and unidentified-N in the case of mineral fertilizers. Pig slurry increased the N fractions considered as labile: α-amino-N, ammonium-N, and amide-N. The increase in these labile organic N fractions in the soil through pig slurry application allows greater N uptake by the maize and oat crops in a no-tillage system.

Effect of Some Fertilizer Formulas on Soil Chemical Properties and Yield of Green Mustard (Brassica juncea L.) in Subak Tegal Lantang, West Denpasar District. The aims of this study is to determine the effect of several fertilizer formulas on soil chemical properties and yield of green mustard (Brassica juncea L.) in Subak Tegal Lantang, West Denpasar District. This study used a Randomized Block Design (RBD) consisting of 6 treatments including controls and repeated 4 times with a total of 24 treatment plots. Fertilization treatment consists of three types of fertilizers, namely organic fertilizer, inorganic fertilizer, and biofertilizer. The fertilizer formula tested consisted of P0 = control (without fertilizer), P1= 5 tons of compost ha-1 + 300kg Phonska ha-1 + 200kg Urea ha-1, P2= 5 tons of compost ha-1 + 300kg Phonska ha-1 + 200kg Urea ha-1 + biofertilizer (1 cc / liter water / plot), P3= 10 tons of compost ha-1 + 300kg Phonska ha-1 + 200kg Urea ha-1, P4= 10 tons of compost ha-1 + 300kg Phonska ha-1 + 200kg Urea ha-1 + biofertilizer (1 cc / liter of water / plot), P5= biofertilizer with a concentration of 1 cc / liter of water / plot. The data from the observed parameters then analyzed statistically using analysis of variance (Anova) to determine the significance of the treatment. If it has a significant effect on the parameters observed, then it will be followed by the LSD test at the 5% real level. The results of study showed that the fertilizer formula treatment had a very significant effect on organic-C (P <0,01) and significantly affected the plant fresh weight (P <0,05), but had no significant effect on the acidity (pH), total-N, available-K, available-P, cation exchange capacity, base saturation, plant height, number of leaves, and plant dry weight. The P4 fertilizer formula gave the highest increase in soil organic-C content significantly by 2.99% or an increase of 66% compared to the control and gave the highest yield of fresh greens mustard by 23.64 tons ha-1.

One effort that can be done to improve soil fertility and crop yields is fertilization. Fertilization using a mixed source fertilizer (MSF) is an option to overcome the impact of inorganic fertilizer use and organic fertilizer drawbacks. This study aims to evaluate the effects of MSF application on the chemical properties of Inceptisol and rice yields. A field experiment was conducted using a completely randomized block design (RCBD) with two factors and three replications. The first factor was the three formulas of MSF (F1, F2, F3) and the second factor was MSF doses (0, 2.5, 5, 7.5, 10 Mg ha-1). The results show that there is no significant difference on the total soil N, available soil P, plant height and total number of tillers of rice plants applied with the three MSF formulas. The increased MSF doses applied significantly improve the soil chemical properties of Inceptisol and rice yields. The application of 10 Mg ha-1 MSF increases total- N (57.89%), available-P (29.13%), exchangeable-Ca and -Mg (117% and 250%, respectively), plant height (40%) and total number of tillers (43.2%) in comparison to those without MSF application. There are interaction effects between formulas and doses of MSF on the amount of exchangeable-K, organic-C content, and CEC of the soil and rice yields. The application of 10 Mg ha-1 MSF F3 results in better effects on the amount of exchangeable-K, organic-C content and CEC of the soil, and number of productive tillers and rice yields than the application of other MSF formulas. The MSF can be used as an alternatif fertilizer that can improve Inceptisol productivity.

The study of packages of semi-organic fertilization on soil properties, and yield of rice (Oryza sativa L). The aim of this study was to know the effect of semi organic fertilization doses on soil properties and yield of rice. The Randomized block design (RBD), with 3 replications and 9 treatments was used in this study. P0 (without fertilizer), P1 (25 tons of organic fertilizer ha-1), P2 (300 kg of Urea ha-1, 150 kg SP36 ha-1 and 75 kg KCl ha-1), P3 (biourin liquid fertilizer) P4 (½ P1 + ½ P2), P5 (½ P1 + ½ P3, P6 (½ P2 + ½ P3), P7 (2/3P1 + 1/ 3 P2) and P8 (2/3P3 + 1/3P2). The results showed that the application of semi-organic fertilizer on soil properties such as soil salinity, C-organic content, P-available and Nitrogen content of soil significantly affected by the treatment, while potasium_available and soil pH is not significantly affected by the treatment.  Yield of rice had a very significant effected by treatment. The semi-organic fertilizer P4 (combination of 50 % anorganic + 50 % organic compost) and P6 (combination of 50 % inorganic + 50 % biourine) can produce oven dry grain 33.35 g per bushel and 32.63 g per bushel respectively or increased 57.91 % and 54.50 % of controls.

The co-product of anaerobic digestion, digestate, is nitrogen (N) rich; however, the forms and accessibility of this N by the crops have not been fully explored. This study aimed to determine the mineralization parameters of digestate N and to assess its availability for annual ryegrass (Lolium multiflorum Lam.). Four digestate rates of 0 (control), 38, 75, and 150 mg N kg−1 soil (equal to 0, 90, 180, and 360 kg total N ha−1) were applied to a silty clay loam soil in a completely randomized block design with four replications in a greenhouse study. A 100 d aerobic incubation experiment was also conducted with 0 and 150 mg digestate N kg−1 rates at 25 °C. Digestate feedstock included cattle manure (28%), hay (15%), and silage corn (Zea mays L.; 57%). Total plant biomass and N uptake increased linearly with digestate application rate with average apparent N recovery of 37%. Potentially mineralizable N (N0) and mineralizable N rate constant (k) were not significantly different in digestate and control treatments; however, a flush of digestate organic N (30 mg N kg−1) released right after mixing the digestate with soil. Evidences of N immobilization with digestate application were observed in greenhouse study. Majority of plant-available digestate N was in form of NH4+-N; therefore, NH4+-N can be used for estimation of available digestate N for crops. Results need to be validated for specific feedstock and soil properties under field conditions. Further research is needed to assess how long-term build-up of digestate organic N may impact the N availability for crops.

Rice is a food that produces rice. This food is a staple food for most Indonesians. Even as a staple food, rice can be replaced or substituted by other food ingredients, but rice has its own value for people who are accustomed to eating rice and cannot be easily replaced by other food ingredients. This study aims (i) to know the effect, and (ii) to get the best dose of granule organic fertilizer on the growth and yield of rice plants of Ciherang Varieties on lebak lowland. This research was conducted in Harusan Village, Amuntai Tengah District, North Hulu Regency, from February to May 2011. This study used a single randomized block design (RBD). The factors studied were 5 levels of granule organic fertilizer, namely: g0: 0 ton.ha-1, g1: 1 ton.ha-1 equivalent to or 8.571 g per clump or 0.3 kg per plot. g2: 2 ton.ha-1 is equivalent to 17.142 g per clump, or 0.6 kg per plot. g3: 3 ton.ha-1 is equivalent to 25,714 g per clump, or 0.9 kg per plot. g4: 4 ton.ha-1 is equivalent to 34.285 g per clump, or 1.2 kg per plot. The factors studied were as much as granule organic fertilizer. The results showed that the treatment of granular organic fertilizer dosage did not affect plant height, many tillers, but the treatment had a significant effect on the number of filled grain per clump. The treatment of granulated organic fertilizer dosage of 2 tons.ha-1 is equivalent to 17.142 g per clump, which is the best dose of the number of filled grain per clump
