The objectives of this research was to know the process of learning English vocabulary by using guessing words game and to know the students’ problem in learning English vocabulary by using guessing words game for the seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 10 Palu in academic year of2019/2020 with the use of guessing words game technique. In this research, the researcher used qualitative research method. The researcher chose class VII D as sample which consisted of 23 students. In collecting the data, the researcher used four kinds of instruments, they were: observation,interview, test and document. Based on the observation, there are some problems in the teaching and learning. To solve those problems, the researcher implemented guessing words game as vocabulary activities. This research was conducted through classroom action research that consisted of two cycles. Each cycles consisted three meetings. The result of the research showed that there were some improvements of the students’ vocabulary. In cycle 1 average score was 62,86 there were some unsuccessful score. Meanwhile, in cycle 2 average score was 72,34 the implementation of guessing words game was successful in developing students vocabulary. Guessing words game gives better result to develop the students’ vocabulary. In other words, guessing words game is effective to use in teaching English vocabulary.

The obejectives of this research are to know the improvement  of the students’ achievement in poetry mastery and their perception regarding to the semiotic method in teaching and learning poetry in  English Education Department, Languages and Art Faculty of State University of Medan. The research method used is the Classroom Action Research (CAR). The subjects of the research are the fifth semester of 37 students of 2013/2014 academic year. The data are collected by test in order to know the students’ achievment in poetry mastery. The students’ perception toward the implementation of the semiotic method for teaching and learning poetry is collected by questionaire. The data are analyzed by descriptive analysis. The result of research shows that (1) the average score of the students’ achievement of poetry mastery is (71.75) or it increases (11,59) point from pre-test (60.16) and (2) in general, the students’ perception toward the semiotic method for teaching and learning poetry are good and positive.

Teaching vocabulary is one way to increase students' knowledge so they can make grammatical sentences. Teaching vocabulary must also be equipped with strategies that are suitable for students. Many strategies can be used by teachers. In vocabulary, there are many things that must be equated and good handling must be taken so that students can understand what vocabulary is. This research was conducted at MTs N 7 Kebumen. The subjects of this study were the English teachers in seventh grade. The purpose of this research is to find the strategies used by English teachers in teaching vocabulary. This research find out students' responses toward the application of teachers' strategies in teaching vocabulary to seventh grade students of MTs N 7 Kebumen. In the interview with an English teacher at MTs N 7 Kebumen, the researcher found out some obstacles experienced by the teacher. One of the obstacle was students have little vocabulary. Therefore the teacher used strategies which easily accepted by students. The teacher also felt not easy to teaching English. This research discusses about analysis the teachers’ strategies in teaching English vocabulary. This research method used descriptive qualitative to describe the strategy of English teachers in teaching vocabulary. The research focused on the strategies of the English teacher in teaching vocabulary in the classroom. The researcher used interview, docummentation, and questionnaire for data collection techniques. First, the researcher interviewed with English teacher. Second, the researcher conducted data analysis using pictures, lesson plans and syllabus as data docummentation. Third, the researcher also gave questionnaires to students in seventh grade MTs N 7 Kebumen using Google Forms. Based on the analysis, the results of the research are three findings that can be taken. First, there are some strategies used by teachers to teach vocabulary, namely presentation, translation, memorization, playing games, reading, pantomime, action, and body movements. Second, this research found out the media used to convey the material, the media used are real things, videos, pictures, English books of students. Third, the researcher found out students' responses with strategies used by the teacher. The researcher concluded that students can enjoy teaching and learning that the teacher gives. By using presentations, translations, memorization, playing games, words, mime, actions, and movements. Students also can remember new words more easily. The aim of this research is: (1) to know the implementation of the technique of making an English news video to improve students’ Speaking skill, (2) to know the ability of the students non English in improving speaking skill. The research was conducted at students majoring Islamic Communications and Broadcasting of IAIN Surakarta. The researcher used qualitative research method to find out the improvement of the students’ speaking skill. The researcher collected the data through observation, interview, and documentation. The researcher obtained the data during teaching and learning processes. Based on the research that has been done, it can be concluded that: (1) the implementation of making an English News Video gives advantages for students’ in improving speaking skill, especially on communications and broadcasting field; (2) the non-English students got a lot of communications and broadcasting vocabulary, become more active and fearless in making mistake when showing their ideas after doing this research.

Education in the 21 century requires educators to be more creative, but there are still many educators who use monotonous learning methods so that students tend to get bored and ignore learning. Purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the use of multiple intelligence learning methods when applied in learning Akidah Akhlak. This study uses a qualitative research method with a phenemonological approach. The phenemonological approach used is the Schutz approach. Data analysis is an inductive analysis. The subjects that became the focus of this study were the Akidah Akhlak education teachers, seventh grade students of SMP Muhammadiyah one Jember. The results of the research of the Multiple Intelligences method are effective in learning because it can provide learning motivation to students and are able to hone the intelligence of each student.

One of the factors that play a role in the success of Madrasahs is the potential for female teachers, considering that the teacher profession is very much in demand by women. And the research locus that will be researched by the author, the majority of the teachers are women. Based on this background, the following problems can be raised: 1) The potential of female teachers in improving the existence of MI Ma'arifTabanan Bali for the 2020 academic year? and 2) What are the constraints and solutions for the coaching program for female teachers at MI Ma'arifTabanan? This study uses a qualitative research method, which by definition is a research procedure that produces descriptive data in the form of written words or words from people or observable sources. Sources of data or words in this study were obtained by the author through interviews with people who can be trusted. In this study the authors collected data through several informants including: 1. Head of Madrasah. 2. Management of the Ma'arif Education Institute. 3. Teachers. 4. Employees. 5. Madrasah Committee. Based on the explanation of the results of the research and discussion by the author, it can be concluded that female teachers have the potential to improve the existence of Madrasah IbtidaiyahSanggulanTabanan for the 2020 Academic Year. This is in accordance with the theoretical study which states that potential is an ability that has various possibilities or hopes for further development, either in the form of strength, power, or ability that is obtained by the community directly or through a long process.

The aim of this study was to find out the effect of contrastive method toward students’ English noun phrases ability, the reflection of students comprehension toward the phrases and the students’ perception toward the method in teaching English noun phrases. The object of this study was students at MTS Negeri 3 Mataram grade VIIIA. This study was quasi-experimental that applied mix method: quantitative and qualitative research method.  The instruments for collecting data in this study were a test, questionnaire, and interview guide. The result of this study showed that the method had a positive effect on students’ ability in constructing English noun phrases, and the preception of the students toward the method was positive as well. The method affects the students' ability in constructing English noun phrases correctly.

The aim of this study is to analyze the effectiveness of the role of English subject to implant and to improve students’ university behavior to be honest, do not cheat on the test, and do not corrupt on their daily life. Subject of this study is the first semester student of PGSD the academic year of 2019/2020 University of Buana Perjuangan Karawang. In order to reach the goal of this study the writer uses qualitative research method with descriptive qualitative approach. While, technique of data collecting is done by observing, field studying, interviewing and documenting. This study aims to analyze the implementation and evaluation of quality development of PTAIN lecturers in Aceh. A qualitative research method and descriptive approach is applied in the research. The research result shows that the implementation of quality development of PTAIN lecturers in Aceh is done by referring to the strategic plan or programs prepared at the beginning of the year. The forms of implementation of lecturer quality development include room visits, inspection to lecturers’ learning devices, and providing opportunities for lecturers to increase their competence and professionalism through various exercises and benchmarking to other leading Islamic universities. The evaluation for the lecturers quality development is carried out through routine meetings, weekly, mid semester, and annually at the beginning of academic year. The results of the evaluation will become supplementary materials for the institutions in following up the lecturers’ performance on the lecturers’ daily activities. The development carried out to the lecturers are in the form of admonition, providing training and development to increase the lecturers’ competence and professionalism, and also doing routine religious lectures.

Abstract: The objective of this study was describing the application of CTL model assisted by origami media for increasing learning result of plane circumference in the fifth grade of primary school. It was a qualitative research by using Classroom Action Research (CAR) methodology. The subject research was 43 students in the fifth grade in Bunuwetan Pakis primary school. The steps are: (1) Introduction, (2) Material presentment step (constructivism, inquiry, questioning, learning community, modelling, reflecting, and authentic assessment), conclusion and (3) Closing. The scoring result of this study was 80% in the activity of the teacher in cycle I, it included good category. In cycle II was getting 96% and including excellent category. The activity of the students was getting 67,14% and including quite active category. Besides, in cycle II it got 92,86%, involved very active category. The result study in cycle I was gotten from classical mastery 69,77% and the average score was 63,83. The cycle II was 81,39% and the average score was 80,93. Therefore, can be concluded that the assembling of CTL model assisted by origami could increase the learning result of the fifth grade in Bunuwetan Pakis Primary school.      Key words: CTL, origami, plane

The People

The drug abuse problem that occured in society these days is very alarming. The existence of the perpetrator and the activity of drug abuse has become a custom of the community. However, permissiveness shown as if the people let these problems occur. The existence of stakeholders is expected to have a positive impact, so that the functions of society can work well, especially in the prevention of drug abuse. The improvement of society social control is an effort to prevent drug abuse. The purpose of this research is to improve the society social control as away to prevent drug abuse. The method used in this research is a qualitative research method with action research. The Place of research conducted in RW 18 Sadang Serang Village, Coblong Sub-district, Bandung with a number of main informants and supporting  informant were 6 people as many as 3 people. The intervention is done through several activities, namely the Counseling and Socialization, Social Campaign, and Forming Local Organization “Pemuda Anti NAPZA”. The results showed an increase in society social control is an effort to prevent drug abuse in RW 18 Sadang Serang Village. Final model  has been enhanced tends to be more effective in addressing the problem of drug abuse which is occured.
