The social dynamics in post-conflict Ambon, Maluku, 1999-2004, indicated that even though people were segregated in the ​​Islamic-Christian areas, gradually social integration began to occur naturally. The process of integration that occurred also gave birth to new values ​​and inclusive views that give hope to future peace building. Using the theory of social integration of dynamic adaptation of the Parsonian structural-functional classic paradigm and combined with a qualitative research model, this study successfully formulated several important findings. First, social integration occurred in the city of Ambon could run naturally through economic interactions, consensus on political balance and inclusive religious spirit. In addition, the presence of public spaces such as offices, schools, malls and coffee shops served as a natural integration medium that is increasingly important in the dynamics of the society. Second, the new social integration has created an increasingly important meaning that leads to a model of active harmony characterized by a process of the increasingly active social interaction between different religions, as well as strengthening pluralism and multiculturalism insight due to campaign by educational institutions and civil society groups. Third, this study also reminds us that although there has been a process of the increasingly positive social integration in Ambon city, people still need to be aware of the growth of radical religious ideologies at a certain level, and also of strengthening identity politics in the long run that will potentially give birth to primordial and ethnocentric attitudes that are harmful to the development of peace.

Estudo etnográfico, com revisão de literatura sobre a construção social do conceito juventude, tem como objetivo relatar e analisar narrativas juvenis em torno do direito à educação. A análise empírica seleciona duas ondas de mobilizações protagonizadas por jovens estudantes: Atos em defesa das Universidades e Institutos Federais ocorridos na cidade de Florianópolis-SC; Na capital da Argentina, Buenos Aires, a narrativa etnográfica se debruça na análise de mobilizações protagonizadas por jovens portenhos que tomaram as ruas exigindo a manutenção da Ley Nacional de Educación, além de se posicionarem radicalmente contra as medidas de austeridade anunciadas pelo Governo Maurício Macri. A análise dos dados etnográficos aponta que a pauta em defesa da educação é capaz de unir coletivos e organizações dos mais variados espectros ideológicos.Palavras-chave: Juventude. Neoliberalismo. Abstrack. As one of the scholars of the hadramain who played an important role in the development of islamic education in the eastern region of Indonesia, It is important to understand how the thinking and role of sayyid, the iraniacal bin salim aljufri, especially in the tower of the thousand churches, the city of manado. When Indonesia is beset by two themes of political persecution, fierce debate over islamic relations and countries between "secular" and religious nationalists, and the struggle between the hadrami of loyalty and integrity against the land between Indonesia or hadramaut. As one of the scholars of hadrami in the eastern region of Indonesia (kti), the old teacher did not get caught up in the political ideology of the political ideology, focusing on the movement: education, the preaching work, and the social empowerment, to the establishing of an alkhairaat islamic college in 1930. In 1934, the old master sent one of his disciples, muhammad qasim maragau for the preaching of the manado. In 1947 the official alkhairaat opened a branch in the town of manado, north sulawesi, to the rest of the istiqlal (Arab village), the following year in 1960 became a boarding school. From 1960 to 1996 the number of islamic islamic educational institutions of alkhairaate in sulut including manado steadily rises up to 167 branches, 2 of which is a boarding school located in the city of manado.Keywords:Guru Tua, Alkhairaat,Thought, role, Manado Abstrak. Sebagai salah satu ulama hadramain yang berperan penting terhadap perkembangan pendidikan Islam di Kawasan Timur Indonesia, penting kiranya untuk memahami bagaimana pemikiran dan peran Sayyid Idrus bin Salim Aljufri khususnya di wilayah Menara Seribu Gereja, Kota Manado. Ketika Indonesia dilanda oleh dua tema diskursus politik yang terjadi, yaitu perdebatan sengit tentang hubungan Islam dan negara antara kaum nasionalis “sekuler” dan nasionalis religious, dan pergumulan di kalangan Hadrami tentang loyalitas dan integritas terhadap tanah air antara Indonesia atau Hadramaut. Sebagai salah ulama Hadrami di wilayah Kawasan Timur Indonesia (KTI), Guru Tua tidak terjebak pada perdebatan ideologi politik tersebut, justru memfokuskan diri pada gerakan: pendidikan, dakwah, dan pemberdayaan sosial, hingga mendirikan sebuah perguruan Islam Alkhairaat pada tahun 1930. Pada tahun 1934, Guru Tua kemudian mengutus salah seorang muridnya, Muhammad Qasim Maragau untuk berdakwah ke Manado.Pada tahun 1947, Alkhairaat resmi membuka cabang di Kota Manado, Sulawesi Utara, tepatnya di Kelurahan Istiqlal (kampung Arab), yang selanjutnya pada tahun 1960 berkembang menjadi sebuah pondok pesantren. Sejak tahun 1960 hingga 1996 jumlah lembaga pendidikan Islam Alkhairaat di Sulut termasuk Manado terus meningkat hingga menjadi 167 cabang, 2 diantaranya adalah pondok pesantren yang berlokasi di kota Manado.Kata kunci: Guru Tua, Alkhairaat, Pemikiran, Peran, Manado.

The aim of this paper is to map the most favorable locations for the occurrence of robberies in the Brazilian city through the multicriteria method Dominance-Based Rough Set Approach. Considering the city divisions with alternatives and evaluating by several spatial criteria, a decision-maker is building a preference model with based previous knowledge. Next, decision rules induced from preference information are introduced to the spatial environment to get the results. The decision rules can be seen as conditional part (represented by criteria) and decision part (assignment to decision classes). The rules classify all the alternatives according to security level. Moreover, the rules help to understand the social dynamics of the city and to assist in the proposition of strategies against violence.

The article is devoted to the urgent problem of finding ways of social integration of senior citizens  to the conditions of the rapidly changing society. The main idea is to use the resources of life-long education for providing retired people  with the conditions to obtain information about the world on a systematic basis. The subject of the research are the form and the content of senior citizens’ lifelong education that is aimed at preserving their active life style and enriching their intrapersonal potential. The article gives the social-pedagogical model of lifelong uducation of elderly people that corresponds to their needs, and describes  the author's conceptual basis (openness of education, voluntariness, focus on the learners’ needs) and the content of the model (giving knowledge, developing skills, interaction and self-development training). The methods of the research are modeling and pedagogical natural experiment. The five-year experience of implementing the model of senior citizens’ lifelong education in the form of  "University of the Third Age" allows the authors to conclude that it is effective. In the students’ opinion, the educational programs of "University of the Third Age" meet their cognitive needs, provide their social integration, help them to maintain active life style, increase their satisfaction with the quality of their life. Thus, higher educational institutions can and should become the place where senior citizens can get education and training.

This paper intends to explore the events of the conflict on 23 May 1997 from the aspect of the peaceful resolution. Where a peace-building effort is needed to maintain a peaceful situation. With the collective memory being represented in the present mass, it is part of the form of efforts in fostering post-conflict sustainable peace. Through the elements of society (Non-Governmental Actor) the memory of conflict is represented in the public sphere as a form of warning against forgetting over history.The role of a non-governmental actor in peacebuilding has a strategic role in resolving conflicts and building peace post-conflict. There are three things raised in this research that is: The incident of conflict "Jum'at Kelabu" in the city of Banjarmasin in 1997, a collective memory form of conflict that built elements of society after the conflict, and the views of elements of society to the collective memory that was represented in the present in the effort to build peacebuilding. This research is a qualitative research, using a sociology-historical approach. The method used in data collection is through observation, interview, and documentation as secondary data. From the results of data analysis, the following results are obtained: the conflict that occurred in Banjarmasin city has a long chronology, the cause of this conflict is an unclear campaign route, the party base that controls Banjarmasin, because the mass of one the OPP that interfere with the Friday prayer, and aggressiveness of campaign participants. The form of peacebuilding efforts of the elements of society is to take peaceful action down the street, discussion/dialogue, and watching a documentary film. Elements of society argue that bringing back the memory of the conflict has two impacts: negative and positive impacts on people’s lives thereafter. These efforts need to be built to create an awareness that the conflict is painful, unpleasant and disturbing so hopefully it will never happen again.

Objective: While the process of social inclusion have promoted respect for the person with mental disability, the stigma against this individual is still very present in society, so that individual identified from their difference, now identified as being a weak, fragile and sometimes abnormal and identified as someone with a determination that can break barriers, even the difference. Considering that the social integration of individuals with disabilities still means a great challenge for society, this study sought to discuss issues related to targeted assistance to the population with mental disabilities within this integration process. The way society perceives and relates to people with disabilities is a repetition of the speech and behavior of its own professionals and programs involved in social integration and rehabilitation of these individuals.Conclusion: The educational institutions of human resources, and assistance programs aimed at the disabled, need to promote reflections on the densest kind of discourse and practices used in everyday life of these people and their families. They should not act based on rejudice.

AbstractTrees are a traditional component of urban spaces where they provide ecosystem services critical to urban wellbeing. In the Tropics, urban trees’ seed origins have rarely been characterized. Yet, understanding the social dynamics linked to tree planting is critical given their influence on the distribution of associated genetic diversity. This study examines elements of these dynamics (seed exchange networks) in an emblematic indigenous fruit tree species from Central Africa, the African plum tree (Dacryodes edulis, Burseraceae), within the urban context of Yaoundé. We further evaluate the consequences of these social dynamics on the distribution of the genetic diversity of the species in the city. Urban trees were planted predominantly using seeds sourced from outside the city, resulting in a level of genetic diversity as high in Yaoundé as in a whole region of production of the species. Debating the different drivers that foster the genetic diversity in planted urban trees, the study argued that cities and urban dwellers can unconsciously act as effective guardians of indigenous tree genetic diversity.

Luz Marina García Herrera, professor at the University of La Laguna, colleague, teacher and friend, passed away in June 2020. A reference in Spanish Urban Geography, her contribution to the debate on the shaping of the city and the social dynamics inherent to it has opened up timely and necessary lines of work. She anchors her background in the interpretation of urban social processes under capitalism, focusing on key issues such as marginal developments, gentrification mechanisms or different facets of urban segregation. In addition she also approaches other issues in which we have been able to share time and space with her. Among them the constant and changing conditioning between physical and social environments in the city and consequences, or the reading of public spaces, their use and appropriation keys, as an indicator of cohesion as well as an instrument for the transformation of specific realities. All of this, and even more his commitment and his profound humanity, which we are proud to have learned from, motivate these lines.

The term 'welcoming community' has arisen within the field of immigration studies as a concept that seeks to address ways in which communities welcome and integrate immigrants. This paper explores the concept of a welcoming community and its impact on the social integration of immigrants to smaller centres, specifically to the City of St. John's in the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador, using a social inclusion framework. Through an examination of the integration policies and programs undertaken in the Province and how immigrants interact with these services. I find the elements of a welcoming community exist in St. John's and that immigrants' frequency and intensity of contact with institutions that directly support settlement is high in St. John's. However, it is premature to conclude, given the recent implementation of the immigration policy in the Province and low numbers of contacts made with other institutions, that St. John's is a welcoming community and that this translates into successful social integration.
