Abstract Since the classical economics, the model of competitive advantage at different levels (national, industry, firm) has been considered attentively by experts in economics and management. In recent years, one pivotal issue in the field of management has been the identification of competitive advantage sources and the breakthrough strategies for its preservation and development. The main purpose of this article is to explain one of the popular theories concerning the competitive advantage model, that is Porter’s model, to show whether it is applicable in a country like Iran, which possesses a highly dominant government-based economy, or not. Besides, if it requires any modification in its pattern, what form of modification should it comprise? In terms of methodology, thus, this may be deemed an applied developmental research. Primary data targeted was obtained by means of a quantitative survey using a questionnaire technique of data collection. The questionnaire survey took place in the period from 10/2010 to 6/2011 and a total of 109 firms (undertaking their activities in the territory of the Iran) were involved. The results of the study show that Porter’s model in both the upstream and the downstream forms must become developed and rectified. Ultimately, the most advantageous shape of the model for detecting the sources of competitive advantage in bottled drinking water industry is offered

The article deals with issues concerning organisational culture and its maintenance in existing conditions in organisations in the Czech Republic. The importance of the topic lies in the fact that organisational culture is a reflection of human dispositions in work activities and strengthens one’s attitude to work and regulates relationships between employees and the management of the organisation. The aim of the article is to identify the importance of organisational culture and to determine the process of its development and its maintaining in organisations in the Czech Republic. Data has been obtained through a questionnaire survey carried out in organisations in the Czech Republic and evaluated using the tools of descriptive statistics. Primary data was evaluated using the tools of descriptive statistics and also the methods of comparison, induction, deduction and synthesis were applied. The results have been compared with the outcomes of a similar survey which took place in the Slovak Republic. At present, the theme of development and maintenance of a suitable organisational culture for the purpose of ensuring the required level of organisations’ performance and gaining a competitive advantage is highly relevant and significant in terms of its possible application in both scientific and practical activities.

The basic goal of the research is to map the financial literacy of generation X and Y in the context of the euro introduction in Slovakia 10 years following the introduction of the single currency. In order to achieve the research objectives we applied primary data collection to obtain information about the researched issue. An anonymous questionnaire survey was conducted among the respondents. Data collection among the residents was realized with the help of an agent, but also an online questionnaire was provided for the respondents in time interval of 6-20th December, 2018. Basic statistic indicators (crosstabs, distribution, homogeneity of variances and ANOVA) were used to verify our assumptions. The paper presents the results of an empirical analysis which showed differences between the generations X and Y in relation to the financial literacy connected with the context of euro introduction.

The IFRS for SMEs is an important element for attaining competitive advantage, attracting investors and gaining access to financial assistance in today’s world of competitive business irrespective of their size. The study assessed the adoption and implementation challenges of IFRS for SMEs among SMES in GA East (Madina). To assess the adoption and implementation benefits and challenges, a qualitative research and conceptual and theoretical framework was developed. These guided the design of the data collection instrument to suit the research. The study collected primary data by conducting interviews on 20 respondents. Purposive sampling techniques were used to select the firms. Data collected as transcribed and coded into the Nvivo software. The study revealed that, about 60% of Small and medium entities in Madina do not have knowledge about the IFRS for SMEs. The study further revealed that meeting regulatory requirements and avoiding noncompliance cost were some of the factors that necessitated firms with little knowledge on the standard to adopt it.

Water is the basic value of human life. However, the shortage of drinking water in the world is increasing and this global negative trend creates a strategic humanity threat. Because of this, the importance, economics, and water supply strategy are becoming more relevant and have become national security important factor. The authors analyze the main strategic tools for the drinking water shortage compensating in a number of regions and countries of the world and show that one of them is the drinking water bottling. Unlike the majority of foreign and domestic studies devoted to commercial aspects of the production and sale of bottled drinking water, the authors of this study consider these aspects mainly from the point of view of public and state (budget) efficiency. The article formulates the strategic possibility, feasibility and forms of fresh water in Russia commercialization – a country with one of the highest levels of availability of this resource. The authors consider the main priorities and formulate the main principles of strategizing the development of the Russian bottled drinking water industry. The authors also show that one of the most effective tools for successful implementation of the industry development strategy is strategic marketing and branding.

The bottled drinking water industry is growing due to the increasing level of community needs. So the company must make a marketing strategy in order to survive and win competitors. The population in this study were 464 consumers majoring in musamus university management and determining the sample using the Slovin formula was a sample of 61 people. data collection using a questionnaire. The method used is multiple linear analysis method. Test results prove that product quality and price have a positive influence on purchasing decisions. This should be a concern for management CV Tirta Alam Jaya Merauke will be quality products and prices because it affects the purchasing decision.

The Bottled Drinking Water Industry has grown rapidly to various provinces and cities throughout Indonesia now. The development of this industry is caused by high demand from consumers and the lower quality of raw water in springs and wells. PT. Cahaya Bumi Intanpari (CBI) is a company that produces gallons, bottles, and glasses bottled drinking water under the brand “AirMu”. Sales of bottled water every month always fluctuate, the management of PT. Cahaya Bumi Intanpari requires an estimate of the amount of production of each type of bottled water to market demand in the future. Based on the description of the background, in this study, a desktop-based application was designed and built. The research method used includes data collection and data analysis. Data collection includes observation, interviews, and literature study. While data analysis includes making data flow diagrams. The forecasting model is used in forecasting the sales of bottled drinking water at PT. Cahaya Bumi Intanpari is a time series or it can be called a time series, and the forecasting method used is single exponential smoothing. From the results of calculation testing, it is proven that the Single Exponential Smoothing method can be implemented in the AMDK sales forecasting system. Based on the validity test, it is found that the prediction test results of bottled drinking water sales below 20% are included in the good criteria.

Gadai syariah (rahn) merupakan salah satu alternatif pembiayaan dengan bentuk pemberian uang pinjaman kepada masyarakat yang membutuhkan berdasarkan pada prinsip syariat islam dan terhindar dari praktek riba atau penambahan sejumlah uang atau persentase tertentu dari pokok utang pada waktu membayar utang. Adapun yang patut menjadi rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini, yaitu bagaimana pelaksanaan pelelangan syariah terhadap benda yang dijaminkan oleh rahin, dan apa yang menjadi faktor penghambat dalam pelaksanaan pelelangan syariah terhadap benda yang dijaminkan oleh rahin. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis pelaksanaan pelelangan syariah terhadap benda yang dijaminkan oleh rahin,  dan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis faktor penghambat. Lokasi dalam penelitian ini bertempat di Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI) Syariah cabang Kota Kediri.Sedangkan Jenis penelitian ini adalah jenis penelitian empiris, sedangkan pendekatan yang digunakan untuk penelitian adalah pendekatan yuridis sosiologis. Dalam hal metode pengumpulan data skunder, penulis menjadikan teknik inventarisasi norma hukum serta identifikasi sebagai upaya menghimpun data dalam penelitian ini sedangkan untuk data primer dikumpulkan dengan cara wawancara yang mendalam dengan beberapa beberapa pelaku industri nasional. Abstract:Sharia pawning (rahn) is one of the alternative financing with the form of lending money to people who need it based on Islamic sharia principles and avoid the practice of usury or the addition of a certain amount of money or percentage of the principal at the time of repaying debt. As for what should be the formulation of the problem in this study, namely how to implement sharia auctions on objects guaranteed by rahin, and what are the inhibiting factors in the implementation of sharia auctions for objects guaranteed by rahin. The purpose of this study is to describe and analyze the implementation of Islamic auctions on objects guaranteed by rahin, and to describe and analyze the inhibiting factors. The location in this study is located in Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI) Syariah branch of Kediri City. While this type of research is a type of empirical research, while the approach used for research is a sociological juridical approach. In terms of secondary data collection methods, the author makes an inventory of legal norms as well as identification techniques as an effort to collect data in this study while for primary data collected by in-depth interviews with several national industry players.
