Quality tools in health service management processesAbstract: This is an integrative review, which sought to verify in the literature the most used quality management tools in Brazilian health services, based on scientific publications from the database of Health Sciences Descriptors (DeCS) of the Virtual Health Library (VHL), between 2000 and 2019. Following the inclusion criteria, there were 13 studies selected for analysis, of which 85% (11 articles) were actually used to achieve the final objective of this work.
The article is focused on the use of Quality Management tools to identify causes of formation deviations dimensions in cylinder head castings. Moreover, methods of production of castings made from alloy AlSi9Cu1, heat treatment of castings, as well as requirements of their quality are described. Research of the influence heat treatment parameters on the changes of castings' dimensions, with using Quality Management tools (Ishikawa diagram) is described too. In order to optimize the process for eliminate of deviations, experiment for modelling parameters of heat treatment was designed. The results processed in the Pareto diagram clearly pointed out the causes. Dimensional deviations were created during the heat treatment process. We have found the largest distortions in castings were created during rapid cooling. The article gives important information about using of research results in the production of cylinder head castings.

This paper focuses on developing an approach that identifies the problems of the international freight transport in Morocco. It also arranges these problems in order to have a reliable and detailed picture of the transport state. This problem was developed by approaching, in the first place, the importance and the role of the freight transport sector in Morocco. This sector, in addition to its vital importance for the economy, is of great social significance. In the second place, we deployed the quality management tools (the Ishikawa diagram and QQQOQCP tool) in order to identify, through literature, the problems of the international freight transport and understand the fundamentals of each difficulty. This analysis was corroborated by surveys that gathered information, reformulated dissatisfaction, and discerned weaknesses of the transport. In the last place and in order to prioritize the difficulties identified, we used the affinity diagram which allowed to model and group with clarity all the problems detected.

Purpose: The purpose of this paper is evaluation quality problems in the production company by using chosen quality management tools like Pareto-Lorenz diagram and control card.Design/methodology/approach: Researches were carried out by using traditional quality management tools. The paper concerns the analysis and research in the interdisciplinary field of production trends.Findings: The paper attempts to improve the production process of the given assortment group, which is a single hook on the grille exhibition. Instruments were used to analyse the process and the problem.Research limitations/implications: Research and analysis, have been limited in the field of production processes. The production process of a single handle on the lattice in technology frame was presented. Traditional quality management tolls were used to show the main problems in the company.Practical implications: Analyse the quality problems in the company is the main issue to the way of its improvement. It was stated that employees are foundation of the company so the investment in subordinates is an excellent treatment for increase work efficiency. It was found that the most difficult area to change is directly related to the people.Originality/value: Presented in this paper author’s opinion in the field of production trend is an original approach of the subject. It was showed that the company has a good chance of development.

Abstract Final inspection represents the last inspection operation of production line before the product reaches a customer. If nonconformities are not detected within the production process, final inspection has to ensure their detection. This contribution focuses on the final inspection results of the manufacturing process of automobile’s front seats. The outputs of final inspection are prepared by means of quality management tools (Pareto analysis). Inspection items, their changes, remedies and precautions leading to seat quality improvement are defined. The evaluation of final inspection for the following period confirms the improvement of the manufacturing process or control quality for selected inspection items.

This chapter provides a fundamental yet comprehensive coverage of quality management. Bringing managers and engineers the most up-to-date quality management tools, research, and theory, this chapter shows readers how to plan for quality and achieve quality control. Broad in scope and inclusive in methodology, the material covered in this chapter will be useful for anyone concerned with quality management and control in business and industry. Topics covered include planning and organizing for quality, total quality management, quality improvement, statistical quality control, and ISO 9000. The chapter begins with an introduction to the concept of quality. Next, the quality management philosophies developed by Deming, Juran, and Crosby are presented. The principles of total quality management (TQM) are described next. The major steps in planning and organizing for quality are addressed in this chapter. Next, the quality improvement process, approaches to problem solving, and tools for quality improvement are presented. The concepts and techniques of statistical quality control are also covered in this chapter. Finally, the ISO 9000 and ISO 14000 quality standards are described.

The purpose of this article is to indicate possibility of improving quality in construction thanks to use of new technological solutions. A problem of poor construction defect management, low quality assurance expenses and significant defect costs has been defined. Proposal of quality management tools has been suggested. Article presents set of defects collected throughout construction inspections. Defects were analysed (FMEA), further proposal of quality improvement based on proactive approach with use of modern technology solutions and their estimated influence on risk analysis has been described. The article is summed up with conclusions.

Abstract Organisations constantly look for new, innovative solutions and methods which could be used to improve their efficiency and increase the quality of their products. Identifying the causes for returns is an important issue for modern companies, as returns are the cause for the increase in production costs and, most importantly, the loss of credibility in the eyes of the client. Therefore, for the company to be able to sustain or strengthen its position on the market, it has to follow the rules of quality management. Especially important is the rule of constant improvement. This rule is primarily connected with preventing errors and defects from occurring at all the stages of the production process. To achieve that, one must, among other things, use quality management tools. The article presents an analysis of causes for returns of a vibrating screen produced by a company which manufactures machinery and equipment for the extractive industry, using quality management tools such as the Ishikawa diagram and Pareto analysis. The analysis allowed for the identification of the causes of client returns which could not be previously identified, and proposing solutions for them.

The paper deals with quality control in a Czech manufacturing company, especially at its quality department. The objective is to define the identified production failures, using selected quality management tools, and to determine the causes of technological problems. The following methods and tools were used: cause and effect analysis—Fishbone diagrams (Ishikawa diagrams); Pareto charts, flowcharts and others methods, whose results have been visually displayed. Based on a detail analysis of the production failures, the proposal to eliminate them as well as a draft implementation of the corrective action and its effect on enhancing quality in the production company are presented. The elements such as frequency of controls, adherence to regular inspections and replacement of filters in air conditioning units, cleaning and compliance with the work rules were monitored, as these elements have an impact on product quality and customer satisfaction. The implementation of the corrective actions and the related financial estimate are presented. Keywords: Quality, production process, quality management tools, quality management, implementation, Pareto diagrams, cause and effect diagrams, safety.
