Subject. This article analyzes the sports parameters necessary to create a valuable end product. Objectives. Based on the comprehensive analysis, the article aims to evaluate key indicators associated with a sports valuable end product creation. Methods. For the study, I used a statistical analysis. Results. Based on the comprehensive analysis of the input data on financing, number of athletes, and the purchasing power, using time series, the article presents equations which can help make predictions and use them in further planning. The article also shows the average cost of creating one unit of valuable end product by year for the period 2010–2019. Conclusions. Positive dynamics indicate that the number of athletes in national sports teams (valuable end products) is increasing. However, their number is still insufficient.

Study of movement observations is becoming more popular in several applications. Particularly, analyzing sport movement time series has been considered as a demanding area. However, most of the attempts made on analyzing movement sport data have focused on spatial aspects of movement to extract some movement characteristics, such as spatial patterns and similarities. This paper proposes statistical analysis of sport movement observations, which refers to analyzing changes in the spatial movement attributes (e.g. distance, altitude and slope) and non-spatial movement attributes (e.g. speed and heart rate) of athletes. As the case study, an example dataset of movement observations acquired during the “orienteering” sport is presented and statistically analyzed.

Seven of India’s 29 states enforce ‘anti-conversion’ laws, which are designed to prevent individuals and groups from converting or attempting to convert, either directly or otherwise, persons through ‘forcible’ or ‘fraudulent’ means, including ‘allurement’ or ‘inducement.’ This might seem a noble enough goal; nevertheless, we argue that anti-conversion laws actually serve to generate violent anti-Christian persecution by creating a culture of vigilantism in the states where such laws exist. This article empirically tests this proposition, along with alternative hypotheses, using a time-series, negative binomial analysis of the Indian states from 2000 to 2015. Our analysis finds that states that enforce anti-conversion laws are indeed statistically more likely to give rise to violent persecution against Christians than states where such laws do not exist. The statistical analysis is supplemented with a brief case study of Madhya Pradesh.

The article covers the study of sales and service potential of Ukrainian regions in distributing the industrial products. Using the data of the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, the statistical analysis of key indicators of sales and service potential is provided. The analysis of indicators’ dynamics in 2010–2015 shows the stability or insignificant increase in almost all regions. Based on ranking results of Ukrainian regions for sales and service potential, the five-zone matrix of potential is formed. The evaluations show that Kyiv (city), Dnipropetrovsk and Donetsk regions can be defined as leaders, and Chernivtsi and Ternopil regions can be defined as outsiders. High concentration of regions in pessimistic zones of the five-zone matrix of potential indicates the crisis processes in the country. This also defines the high degree of regional disparities and contradictions in service and sales activities in Ukraine.

Abstract Every port in Indonesia must have a Port Master Plan that contains an integrated port development plan. This study discusses one important aspect in the preparation of the Port Master Plan, namely the projected movement of goods and passengers, which can be used as a reference in determining the need for facilities at each stage of port development. The case study was conducted at a port located in a district in Maluku Province and aims to evaluate the analysis of projected demand for goods and passengers occurring at the port. The projection method used is time series and econometric projection. The projection results are then compared with the existing data in 2018. The results of this study show that the econometric projection gives adequate results in predicting loading and unloading activities as well as the number of passenger arrival and departure in 2018. This is indicated by the difference in the percentage of projection results towards the existing data, which is smaller than 10%. Whereas for loading and unloading activities, time series projections with logarithmic trends give better results than econometric projections. Keywords: port, port master plan, port development, unloading activities  Abstrak Setiap pelabuhan di Indonesia harus memiliki sebuah Rencana Induk Pelabuhan yang memuat rencana pengem-bangan pelabuhan secara terpadu. Kata-kata kunci: pelabuhan, rencana induk pelabuhan, pengembangan pelauhan, aktivitas bongkar barang

It is alleged that the agricultural output in poor countries responds very little to movements in prices and costs because of subsistence-oriented produc¬tion and self-produced inputs. The work of Gupta and Majid is concerned with the empirical verification of the responsiveness of farmers to prices and marketing policies in a backward region. The authors' analysis of the respon¬siveness of farmers to economic incentives is based on two sets of data (concern¬ing sugarcane, cash crop, and paddy, subsistence crop) collected from the district of Deoria in Eastern U.P. (Utter Pradesh) a chronically foodgrain deficit region in northern India. In one set, they have aggregate time-series data at district level and, in the other, they have obtained data from a survey of five villages selected from 170 villages around Padrauna town in Deoria.

Using the Republic of North Macedonia as a case study, this article analyzes the processes through which national sports teams’ losing performance acquires a broad social and political significance. I explore claims to sporting victory as a direct product of political forces in countries located at the bottom of the global hierarchy that participate in a wider system of coercive rule, frequently referred to as empire. I also analyze how public celebrations of claimed sporting victories are intertwined with nation-building efforts, especially toward the global legitimization of a particular version of national history and heritage. The North Macedonia case provides a fruitful lens through which we can better understand unfolding sociopolitical developments, whereby imaginings of the global interlock with local interests and needs, in the Balkans and beyond.
