The aim of this study is to improve students' critical thinking skills through a problem based learning model in class IV SDN Ende 1. The type of research used in this study is classroom action research consisting of several interrelated cycles and the model chosen in this study is a Kemis and Mc Tagart model which consists of several stages namely planning, action, observation and reflection, where actions and observations are carried out together. The subjects of this study were 21 students in class IV SDN Ende 1. Based on the results of data analysis in classroom action research shows that the learning feasibility by applying the learning model Problem Based Learning has increased namely 81.5% in the first cycle and 94% in the second cycle, therefore it can be said that the learning process has been carried out very well and in accordance with the reference in the lesson plan that has been made. While the results of observations of student activities during learning by applying  model of problem based learning have increased, which is proved by the increase in the average score of student learning activities in the first cycle by 55% and the second cycle by 87%. This improvement shows that during the learning process students were actively involved in solving problems. The results of the students’ critical thinking ability test of the first cycle can be seen that, there are 9 students or 43% who reach the KKM standard, while 12 students or 57% do not reach the value of 70 in accordance with the minimum completeness criteria set by the school. While the second cycle is known that as many as 21 students (100%) have succeeded and reached the indicator of critical thinking. The highest score obtained by student is 90 and the lowest score is 70 with an average value of 80% in the critical category. Therefore, the implementation of research by applying the problem based learning model ends in the second cycle . So, through research that has been done, by applying the Problem Based Learning model it is proven that it can improve the critical thinking skills of class IV students whose critical thinking test results are complete or meet the minimum completeness criteria (KKM).

This study aims to improve students' critical thinking skills through the application of the Problem Based Learning model to students. This model, if applied properly, can train students in solving contextual problems. The purpose of this research is to improve the critical thinking skills of students in class IXH MTs Darul A'Mal Metro City through the application of the Problem Based Learning model on population and environmental materials. classroom action research) using the Kemmis and Mc Taggart model where each cycle consists of planning (planning), implementation (action) and observation (observe), and reflection (reflect). The researcher acts as the designer of the action as well as the executor of the action, while the partner teacher acts as an observer. The research was conducted at MTs Darul A'Mal Metro in August-September. The research subjects were students of class IXH, totaling 24 male students. Data collection techniques used critical thinking ability observation sheets, critical thinking learning outcomes tests, field notes, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out by analyzing qualitative data consisting of data reduction, data presentation, verification and drawing conclusions. The research action is said to be successful if it reaches the predetermined success criteria of 75%. The results of the study based on observations showed critical thinking skills in the first cycle reached 57.80%, while in the second cycle it reached 79.38%, which means an increase of 21.58%. Based on the results of the critical thinking ability test in the first cycle, there were 54.17% of students who achieved the criteria for completeness, while in the second cycle, 79.17% completed the KKM. The conclusion of this study is that the Problem Based Learning learning model can improve students' critical thinking skills on population and environmental material in class IXH students in the 2016/2017 academic year at MTs Darul A'Mal Metro City. ABSTRAKKemampuan berpikir kritis merupakan hal sangat penting dalam pembelajaran IPA, dengan kemampuan berpikir kritis maka siswa akan dapat mengenali berbagai permasalahan, mampu mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis penyebab dari suatu masalah serta mampu membuat solusi serta mengevaluasi dari suatu permasalahan. Model Problem Based Learning  jika diterapkan dengan baik dapat melatih siswa dalam memecahkan masalah kontekstual  Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas IXH MTs Darul A’Mal Kota Metro melalui penerapan model Problem Based Learning pada  materi kependudukan dan lingkungan  Penelitian ini jenisnya adalah tindakan kelas (classroom action research) menggunakan model Kemmis dan Mc Taggart dimana   setiap siklus terdiri dari perencanaan (planning), pelaksanaan (action) dan pengamatan (observe), serta refleksi (reflect). Peneliti bertindak sebagai perancang tindakan sekaligus sebagai pelaksana tindakan, sedangkan guru mitra bertindak sebagai observer. Penelitian dilaksanakan di MTs Darul A’Mal Metro pada bulan Agustus-September.  Subjek penelitian yaitu siswa kelas IXH yang berjumlah 24 siswa laki-laki. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan lembar observasi kemampuan berpikir kritis , tes hasil belajar berpikir kritis, catatan lapangan,  dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menganalisis data kualitatif yang terdiri dari reduksi data, penyajian data, verifikasi dan penarikan kesimpulan. Tindakan penelitian dikatakan berhasil apabila mencapai kriteria keberhasilan yang telah ditetapkan ?75%. Hasil penelitian berdasarkan observasi menunjukkan kemampuan berpikir kritis pada siklus I mencapai 57,80%, sedangkan pada siklus II mencapai 79,38%, yang berarti mengalami peningkatan sebesar 21,58%. Berdasarkan hasil tes kemampuan berpikir kritis pada siklus I terdapat 54,17% siswa yang mencapai kriteria ketuntasan, sedangkan pada siklus II menjadi 79,17% tuntas KKM. Simpulan penelitian ini yaitu model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada materi kependudukan dan lingkungan pada siswa kelas IXH Tahun Pelajaran 2016/2017 MTs Darul A’Mal Kota Metro.

The research instrument consisted of observation sheets and tests of students' critical thinking skills. Learning in this study uses the Problem Based Learning learning model. The action of data analysis used data from observations and the process of analyzing data from the test results of students' critical thinking skills.</p><p>Before the implementation of the Problem Based Learning learning model for XI TKJ students, data was obtained with an average grade XI TKJ grade 54 and the completeness of students who had a score above 36% KKM. After applying the Problem Based Learning model in cycle 1, the class average increase to 60.04 and the completeness of students who have a score above the KKM is 44%. Then it has increased after cycle 2 with an average class score of 69.72 and completeness of students who have scores above the KKM 64%. Then it has increased after cycle 3 with an average class score of 76.72 and the completeness of students who have a score above the KKM of 80%. The aims of this study to determine the improvement of students' critical thinking skills through the application of learning model the Problem Based Learning in Biology subjects in class X SMA Negeri 1 Kluet Tengah. The subjects in this study were students of class X SMA Negeri 1 Kluet Tengah, with total of 31 students, with focus of this research critical thinking skills ability in Biology subjects. The research design used was classroom action research, which was conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consists of four stages, namely: planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. In the pre-cycle, the students 'critical thinking ability was 37.81% in the less critical category, since implementation of the first cycle the students' critical thinking ability became 51.80% with the fairly critical category. In cycle II, the average achievement of students' critical thinking skills has increased to 76.90% in the critical category. Thus the results of this study indicate that the application of learning model the Problem Based Learning can improve students' critical thinking skills in Biology subjects in Class X SMA Negeri 1 Kluet Tengah.

<p><em>This type of research is classroom action research. The purpose of this study was to improve critical thinking skills in science by applying the Discovery Learning model. The results showed that the application of the Discovery Learning model can improve critical thinking skills in science. The percentage of critical thinking skills in the very good, good, adequate, and poor categories. In pre-cycle it was 41%, cycle I was 68%, increased in cycle II to 86%, and increased again in cycle III was 95%.</em><em></em></p>

This research is motivated by learning activities that are still notes, memorization, and simple explanations from the teacher without requiring students to analyze a problem and try to solve the problems faced in learning. For this reason, the implementation of the Preparing, Doing, and Concluding (PDC) learning model is expected to be a solution to improve students' critical thinking skills. This research was conducted on grade IV / A students of SDN 003 Sungai Salak. This type of research is classroom action research. The instrument used was a critical thinking skills test. The results showed that the average critical thinking skills of students in the first cycle was 66.72 in the sufficient category, in the second cycle it was 75.52 which was included in the good category. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the implementation of the Preparing, Doing, and Concluding (PDC) learning model can improve the critical thinking skills of grade IV / A students of SDN 003 Sungai Salak.

<div align="center"><table width="645" border="1" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0"><tbody><tr><td valign="top" width="439"><p><strong>Abstract:</strong> This study aimed to describe the application of cooperative learning Teams Games Tournament to enhance the critical thinking skills of students in class V SDN Tlekung 1 Batu. This research is a classroom action research are conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consists of two meetings. Data was collected through observation implementation learning and critical thinking skills of students. The results showed that an increase in the average percentage implementation Teams Games Tournaments learning model by teachers from the first cycle to the second cycle is from 77% to 88% and the average percentage implementation result of learning by students from 77% to 90%. Then the critical thinking skills of students also increased from the first cycle to cycle 2 is equal to 37.1 (critical) to 4,2 (very critical).</p><p class="Abstract"><strong>Abstrak:<em> </em></strong>Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe <em>Teams Games Tournament</em> untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas V SDN Tlekung 1 Kota Batu. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Masing-masing siklus terdiri atas dua pertemuan. Data dikumpulkan melalui hasil observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran dan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan rata-rata persentase keterlaksanaan pembelajaran dengan model <em>Teams Games Tournaments</em> oleh guru dari siklus I ke II yaitu dari 77% menjadi 88% dan persentase rata-rata hasil keterlaksanaan pembelajaran oleh siswa dari 77% menjadi 90%. Kemudian kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa juga mengalami peningkatan dari siklus I ke siklus II yaitu sebesar 37,1 (kritis) menjadi 4,2 (sangat kritis).</p></td></tr></tbody></table></div>

The research included Classroom Action Research (CAR) with the aim of knowing the improvement of critical thinking skills through the inquiry learning model. Classroom Action Research was carried out at the eleventh MIA 5 grade of sixteen state senior high school of Makassar. The research consisted of two cycles. The first cycle consists of two actions and the second cycle also consists of two actions. The procedure carried out in each cycle consists of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. For getting the data used the observation sheet and the results of test scores in each cycle. The data analysis technique used descriptive analysis and qualitative analysis. The results of the study showed that it increased through the use of the inquiry learning model. The students critical thinking skills in the first cycle increased even though the increase was not too significant than before the implementation of the inquiry learning model. In cycle one , the students were divided into 5 groups and learning using the free inquiry model then proceed to cycle two critical thinking skills increased from cycle one. Penelitian Tindakan Kelas dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 16 Makassar kelas XI MIA 5. Penelitian ini terdiri dari dua siklus. Siklus pertama terdiri dari dua tindakan dan siklus kedua juga terdiri dari dua tindakan. Prosedur yang dilaksanakan pada setiap siklus terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Untuk mendapatkan data digunakan lembar observasi dan hasil nilai tes pada setiap siklus. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif dan analisis kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa meningkat melalui penggunaan model pembelajaran inquiry. Keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik pada siklus I meningkat meskipun peningkatannya tidak terlalu signifikan dari sebelum diterapkannya model pembelajaran inquiry. Pada Siklus I peserta didik peserta didik dibagi menjadi 5 kelompok dan pembelajaran menggunakan model inquiry bebas kemudian dilanjutkan ke siklus II keterampilan berpikir kritis meningkat dari siklus I. Pada siklus II jumlah kelompok diperbesar menjadi 8 kelompok dan pada proses pembelajaran peserta didik dibimbing untuk menemukan sehingga keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik terlatih dan dapat meningkat.Kata kunci: Berpikir Kritis, Pembelajaran Inkuiry, Peserta Didik

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menilai pengaruh penggunaan model problem based learning untuk keterampilan berpikir kritis dalam kewarganegaraan tentang sistem pemerintahan. Objek penelitian ini adalah kelas VI SDN Kolor II Sumenep. Termasuk 2 kelas yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini meliputi, kelas VIA SDN Pajagalan sebagai percobaan kelas I, VI A sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol VIB SDN Kolor II. Tes kelas yang dimaksudkan adalah kelas yang digunakan untuk menguji instrumen yang akan digunakan untuk mengambil data keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa. Pendekatan penelitian kuantitatif ini, syarat-syarat nilai perolehan kemampuan tes untuk skor keterampilan berpikir kritis atau nilai-nilai dijumlahkan dan dianalisis menggunakan t-test dua sampel independen. Pada validitas tes diperoleh hitungan ≥ r r - kritis (0,349), instrumen tersebut valid dan dapat digunakan. Dalam pengujian andal hitung r> r kritis (0,60), yaitu nilai Alpha 0,966 yang berarti lebih besar dari 0,60. Dengan demikian seluruh instrumen barang bisa diandalkan. Hasil pengujian hipotesis dapat dilihat dari data yang telah dianalisis dengan t 3,730> t-tabel 2,00 (α = 0,05). Dapat disimpulkan bahwa probabilitas kesalahan dalam penelitian ini masih di bawah 0,05. Pengujian hipotesis dapat diputuskan, bahwa dengan harga tinggi 3,730 t-test memiliki tingkat signifikansi 0,000, yang ternyata posisinya masih jauh di bawah nilai α = 0,05. Oleh karena itu penelitian ini berhasil menolak H0 pada tingkat signifikansi 5%. Lebih lanjut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa H1 terbukti benar. Berarti dalam kelompok eksperimen pretest posttest kelompok eksperimen adalah 54,38 adalah 74,38. Sedangkan rata-rata kelompok kontrol pretest adalah 51,94. Grup postes adalah 66,94. Ini adalah bukti bahwa terjadi peningkatan pada kelas eksperimen yang telah diberi perlakuan dengan model problem based learning. Dengan demikian kita dapat menyimpulkan kemampuan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa dalam kelompok eksperimen lebih tinggi daripada kelompok kontrol. Model problem based learning berpengaruh positif terhadap kemampuan siswa untuk keterampilan berpikir kritis.Kata kunci: Model Problem Based Learning, Kemampuan Berpikir KritisAbstract: This study aims to assess the effect of the use of problem solving based learning model for critical thinking skills  in civics about the system of goverment. Object of this research is a class VI  SDN Kolor II Sumenep. Includes 2 classes used in this study include , VIA SDN Pajagalan class as a class I trial, VI A as an experimental group and a control group VIB SDN Kolor II . Class tests are intended class is used to test the instruments to be used to retrieve data critical thinking skills of students. This quantitative research approaches , the terms of the acquisition value of the test 's ability to critical thinking skills scores or values are summed and analyzed using t-test two independent samples. On the validity of the test obtained count ≥ r r - critical ( 0.349 ), the instrument as valid and can be used. In the test reliably count r > r critical ( 0.60 ) , namely Alpha value of 0.966 which means greater than 0.60. Thus the entire item instrument is reliable. Results of hypothesis testing can be seen from the data that has been analyzed by t 3.730 > t-table 2.00 (α = 0.05). It can be concluded that the probability of error in this study still below 0.05. Hypothesis testing can be decided, that with the high price of 3.730 t-test has significance level of 0.000, which turned out to be his position is still far below the value of α = 0.05. This study therefore managed to reject H0 at significance level of 5 % . Furthermore, it can be concluded that the H1 was proved right. Mean in the experimental group pretest posttest experimental group is 54.38 is 74.38. While the control group mean pretest is 51.94. Postes group is 66.94. This is evidence that an increase in the experimental class that has been given treatment with problem solving-based learning model. Thus we can conclude critical thinking skills  abilities of students in the experimental group was higher than the control group. Problem solving-based learning model a positive effect on students' ability tocritical  thinking skills.Keywords: Problem Based Learning Model, Critical Thinking Skills

The purpose of this study is to improve students' critical thinking skills using the Problem Based Learning model aided by flash card media. The research method used is a class action research method. The subjects of the study were the 5th grade students of SD St. Theresia Massudirini 77 with 40 students. The results of observations in the pre-cycle that the critical thinking skills of students in the category are quite critical (15%). Based on these problems, the researchers made improvements to the classroom action research, using the Problem Based Learning model aided by Flash Card media. The results showed that the critical thinking skills of students in the quite critical category were (32.5%) in the first cycle and during the second cycle increased to (75%).
