The purpose of this study is to examine whether Multimedia learning theory (Mayer, 1997; Schnotz & Kürschner, 2007) holds true when images are the primary source of information and text information is secondary. I will test how temporal arrangement of audio and image presentations affects quality of learning in this situation. I hypothesize that when audio is played before or after the image participants will require increased cognitive processing to mentally integrate the two sources of information resulting in deeper learning and transfer of learning. On the other hand when audio is played while the image is shown, I hypothesize that participants with high prior knowledge of the subject will score lower than participants with low prior knowledge, because prior knowledge will interfere with knowledge from the two sources causing a redundancy effect. This experiment will lead to greater understanding of multimedia teaching and learning in classrooms as well as how it affects deeper learning.

Online comments are increasingly mentioned as an important source of information, simplifying consumers' buying decisions. Online user-generated content has become one of the main sources of information for tourists, who themselves become creators of their own online content. This chapter focuses on sentiment analysis of comments made on TripAdvisor regarding one resort located in the Algarve region, in Portugal. The resort has good reviews, which means that the eWOM is positive. The highest scores relate to the resort's cleanliness, location and quality of sleep, and those that were less relevant were the value for money, the rooms and the service. The most dominant emotion is joy, followed by an analytical response. Negative emotions, such as sadness and anger, were not found very often in the online reviews. These results could be explained by the quality of the service, the kindness of the staff, the facilities for children, the entertainment, and the location, attributes that were often highlighted in the comments.

Wikipedia as an internet phenomenon enjoys a great popularity, even in the academic community, thus rising a legitimate question, does it present a valid source of information, but even more important question is: What are the implications of the epistemological and ethical sense behind the conformism of the accelerating and shallow search due to inflation of information, where Wikipedia is just one of the representatives quick sources of information which most often is applied. From the ethical side, Wikipedia's politics is implicitly committed to utilitarianism, and institutional morale and professions are considered redundant, while the hypothesis that we have tried to defend is the opposite and based on models that support the scientific responsibility of the authors and publishers. But even in utilitarian approach, classical methods of philosophy of science more effective, partly because in the era of information epistemological justification of the reliability of the evidence and the chain of references to new data and milions of publications is much more important than the quality of information as such.

Regular oral conditions have been appeared to substantially affect prosperity and quality of life. The loss of at least one common teeth often brings about incapacity, as basic day by day living exercises, for example, talking and eating are hindered, and furthermore in a handicap, for instance, by diminished social communication as a result of humiliation related with dental replacement wearing. The primary characterization of prosthodontics is the restoration of function following tooth loss. The study aimed to understand awareness among rural patients about implants for replacing missing teeth. This survey was done among 100 subjects in rural zones using a self-administered questionnaire. The mean age of the participants of 36.5yrs. Information pertaining to awareness of dental implants, reasons for replacement, and information sources over dental implants were obtained. The collected data were collected and analyzed.Out of 100 subjects, 55 were males and 45 females. Around 35% of the subjects were aware of dental implants. 64% seeked replacement for masticatory reasons,32% for esthetic reasons, and 4% for phonetics. Dentists were the primary source of information about implants (73%) followed by mass media (15%) and friends (12%). The greater part of the participants were not having awareness with respect to implants and not many had undergone implant treatment. It additionally demonstrated the requirement for giving more information to patients regarding this treatment modality.

Objective:Siblings of individuals suffering from schizophrenia are often overseen as relatives in need in clinical practice and they are an underrepresented group in research focussing on the needs of carers and relatives of psychiatric patients. We investigated differences between siblings and parents as well as spouses, in regards to help seeking, utilisation of an open group for relatives, their subjective burden and quality of life.Methods:147 relatives of in-patients and patients attending a day hospital where assessed using the General Health Questionnaire (GHQ), Family Problem Questionnaire (FPQ), WHO Quality of Life-BREF (WHOQOL-BREF) and a questionnaire inquiring about their utilisation of various sources of information and help throughout the course of the illness. Results:Siblings had less contact with patients compared to both parents and spouses, and their quality of life showed less impairment than that of the other groups. However, siblings’ subjective burden was comparable to that of spouses. Still, compared to the other groups, they reported significantly less utilisation of any source of information and help and were far less likely to be invited to support offers specifically aimed at relatives. Conclusions:Siblings of patients with schizophrenia are a particularly neglected group regarding support aimed at relatives. They are heavily distressed, yet there is little offer of professional support for them.

Carefully developed guidelines for clinical practice serve as an important tool for desirable changes in health care of a country. They act as an important source of information for physicians as well as policy makers and educational institutions thereby improving quality of care of patients. The outbreak of Novel Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) in 2019 has placed huge burden on health care system globally. The first line health care provider bears the brunt of this disease with limited and varying sources of information as most of the patients present to them. Varied presentation of disease along with limited hospital facilities for admission is a huge challenge for appropriate management and referral of these patients.  These guidelines, prepared after reviewing the interim guidelines in literature, will serve as a source of guidance for GPs to manage mild cases at home and refer those with moderate and severe disease to tertiary... Abstract. The production of historical cartographies with the aid of digital tools has become in recent years a very active field of study, especially in urban heritage research. In this way, contributions from disciplines such as computer vision or remote sensing allow today to integrate data from various documentary records, enriching the available urban historiography, and enabling new readings on the relationship between historical cartography and contemporary sources of information. Despite this, little attention has been paid to the use of urban street photography, which continues to be used mostly to confirm or validate cartographic hypotheses, but not as a primary source of information. Among other causes, this is because there are no standardized procedures to extract the information directly from the photographs, nor with methods that allow addressing the divergences between captures from various locations and times. To overcome this situation, a new methodology is proposed to incorporate collections of historical photographs into a cartographic creation process, for the recovery and direct use of the information contained in them. Throughout a workflow, the proposal provides special support for two sub-processing steps: i) the possibility of comparatively studying the information from various photographs, and ii) the possibility of managing and taking into account the differences in dates between different shots. For this, the proposal transfers the recovered information from the photographs (in a 3D coordinate system) to a single cartographic representation (in a 2D coordinate system), to support that data management and decision making take place directly in the map view. This is intended to overcome the practice of using the map to ‘pass clean’ discoveries made with other means and to restore instead the notion of cartographic representation as a detection and direct investigation tool. The work considers the evaluation of the proposed method through the application in a case study. We worked with the restitution of the disappeared tram system of Santiago, Chile (1900–1945) through the cartographic representation of its extinct network of railway lines, of which only some isolated fragments remain. The visual documentation was provided by the Chilectra photographic archive (1921–27) – currently managed by the Photographic Archive of the National Library of Chile – which documented the extent of the tracks layout and its installation process (Figure 1a). Thus, around 200 scanned historical photographs were reviewed and processed with the proposed method, and their information made available to a cartographic production and management process (Figure 1b), based on the historical cartography of Santiago from Hidalgo et al (2011) and Salas (2012). Finally, the obtained data is evaluated (Figure 2), identifying scopes on the recovered information and on the characteristics that the photographs must meet in the first instance to be processed. The satisfactory results obtained show that the proposed approach and method allow historical photography to be used directly within a cartographic process, as a primary source of information. This reinforces the idea of the place that corresponds to these records within the spectrum of historiographic sources, along with textual, planimetric, and other descriptions of urban interest. Likewise, the work reflects on the approach that should prevail to use the map as a research tool, and on the possibilities that such a process opens, significantly improving the use of historical photography for the study of urban heritage with cartographic representations.

A characteristic feature that is directly or indirectly related to a quality of sustainable product originating from eco-innovation are the relationships with customers, which consist in meeting their needs and expectancies. However, those customer needs and expectancies are not always consistent with the concept of sustainable development. The customer is a very important link in performing the “customer to customer” quality management process for he is a source of information and a recipient of market offers. However, due to their potential and creativity, designers and constructors are those, who finally play a significant role in developing the quality of sustainable product. The objective of the research study was analysis of the context of sustainable product in the light of the theory of quality management and sustainable development, competitive role of eco-innovations and consumer perception. Based on the reference literature analysis, a thesis has been formulated that the diffusion of eco-innovations is a stimulus to developing a sustainable product. Eco-innovations are perceived by manufacturers as a source of gaining a competitive advantage. On the basis of surveys of the manufacturers of food and electronic equipment, there were established the competitiveness determinants for product eco-innovations. Also, customer surveys were conducted to identify the most common sources of information about eco-innovations. It has been shown that descriptive characteristics of food products and the designation of energy classes for electronic products can be included into those sources.

BACKGROUND Today, the Internet has become primary source for intracktable health-releated information. OBJECTIVE This study aims to analyze the content, information and quailty of YouTube videos related to neck, low back, shoulder, knee and hand pain on patients’ perspective. METHODS A search for Youtube videos were conducted on February 17-21, 2019 using the key words “neck pain”, “back pain”, “shoulder pain”, “knee pain” and “hand pain”. The educational quality and accuracy of the videos was measured using the Global Quality Score and the DISCERN score and the video features was evaluated using the number of views, likes, comments. RESULTS A total of 250 videos evaluated and the most watched and most liked videos were on back pain. There was no significant difference between pain regions on the duration, dislike, comment of the videos. Only 42 (16.8%) of the videos were high quailty. Most of the videos were uploaded by chiropractors and trainers. Between pain regions, Global Quality Score and the DISCERN scores were similar and the quality of the videos were low. CONCLUSIONS Youtube is an important source for patients. The quality, reliability of the videos on different musculoskeletal pain regions offered on YouTube are low. Health professionals should inform patients about the quality of the video resources and direct patients to the proper sources of information.

This article describes a study which investigated sources of alcohol and drug information among Israeli urban adolescents in the north of Israel during the winter of 1993. Data were obtained from a sample of 1,346 students (50.9% males, 49.1% females), who were asked to indicate the amount of information (none, little, much) they had received from ten sources about eight categories of drugs. Among the findings: television is the primary source of information for all drugs, except inhalants, for which newspapers/magazines are the main source. Newspapers/magazines are of secondary importance for the rest of the seven categories of drugs. Teenagers are less likely to receive information from physicians/nurses and relatives than from other sources. Information based on personal experience is prominent concerning alcohol, cigarettes, inhalants and hashish/marijuana, and it prevails more among males than among females ( p < .01). Females use school teachers as a source of information in all drug categories more than males ( p < .01). There are differences in using various information sources among grades and types of places of living. Information based on personal experience with alcohol is notably correlated with that with cigarettes, whereas information based on personal experience with opiates is correlated with that with stimulants, hallucinogens and hashish/marijuana ( p < .001). The mean number of sources of information used by the respondents is the highest concerning alcohol and the lowest concerning depressants. Implications for prevention are discussed.

Abstract:In this study, parents considered themselves to be the most credible source of Information about alcohol and drinking for their children. However, when information about drugs Is sought many parents believe the police and health specialists are more authoritative. Young adults supported parents as a primary source of information about alcohol and drinking, but considered universities, police, and the media to be more important for drugs. These findings and their implications for the development of alcohol and drug education programs are discussed.
