Using the example of a higher military educational institution, we conducted an analysis of the prevalence of diseases according to ICD-10 by years of study (n = 3381). Features among local students and visitors were: in long-term trends, an increase in ear diseases (more significant among visitors) and an equal rate of decrease in skin diseases and subcutaneous tissue, injuries; in the first year, significant differences in three, 2–4 courses — in two classes of diseases, in the pathogenesis of which the state of resistance of the organism is significant (some infectious and parasitic diseases, diseases of the respiratory system, skin and subcutaneous tissue); excess incidence of local first-year students and newcomers over rates in other courses, respectively, for classes 5 and 8 of diseases; differences in the incidence rate for adjacent years of study, which is important for determining the period of adaptation to the conditions of training and adaptation against the background of acclimatization. In local students, the prevalence of diseases in the first two courses was significantly higher than by 4–5 (data from the third to fifth courses did not differ), but for disease classes XI, XIII, XIX, prevalence persisted from 1–2 years, X, XII — up to 2–3 years For visiting students, the prevalence of diseases from the first to the fourth year exceeded that in the next year. For classes I, VII, VIII, XIII and XIX, the excess persisted for 1–2 years, XI — at least 3 years, X — 4 years. Research in an initially healthy team allows us to judge the process of students' adaptation to the learning environment, as well as adaptation against the background of acclimatization. Research is promising in other regions of the country; among students studying at universities of other departments. This will provide the basis for planning preventive measures in youth groups to preserve their health and improve professional training.

ABSTRACT Objective: Exposure to science education during college may affect a student's profile, and research experience may be associated with better professional performance. We hypothesized that the impact of research experience obtained during graduate study differs among professional curricula and among graduate courses. Methods: A validated multiple-choice questionnaire concerning scientific concepts was given to students in the first and fourth years of medical and law school at a public Brazilian educational institution. Results: Medical students participated more frequently in introductory scientific programs than law students, and this trend increased from the first to the fourth years of study. In both curricula, fourth-year students displayed a higher percentage of correct answers than first-year students. A higher proportion of fourth-year students correctly defined the concepts of scientific hypothesis and scientific theory. In the areas of interpretation and writing of scientific papers, fourth-year students, in both curricula, felt more confident than first-year students. Although medical students felt less confident in planning and conducting research projects than law students, they were more involved in research activities. Conclusion: Medical graduation seems to favor the development of critical scientific maturity than law graduation. Specific policy in medical schools is a reasonable explanation for medical students’ participation in more scientific activities.

The author considers the problem of training specialists in the field of Acting and shows that the need of theaters for actors of a "synthetic" kind (with universal voice capabilities, with a high degree of musicality) is dictated by the increasing role of musical elements in a modern performance and is also determined by the search in modern directing. Theatrical practice demonstrates that the musicality of an actor is a crucial quality of acting. Today, in general, as always, the issues of organizing and implementing vocal education for future actors are among the most complex and energy-intensive. First-year students who come to the theater program track at the higher educational institution either do not have any preliminary vocal training at all, or are trained at the elementary level. Nevertheless, it should be noted that some of them were trained to play musical instruments and have musicality. The article deals with the specifics of working with students, aimed mainly at the formation of basic singing skills, which are associated with the acoustic properties of sound, high singing position, vocal diction, breathing, voice science, i.e. all the things that make up the technology of singing professionalism. Meanwhile, the author shows that this work is not with students of the vocal department, but with future actors of the drama theater. And our task is to educate an artistic and creative person, a participant in the dramatic process, which is all theatrical activity.

This article presents the results of the questionnaire and comparison, which allows determining the interest of first-year students in different types of physical activity at the National University of Water and Environmental Engineering. The purpose of the study is to determine students’ interest in different types of physical activity offered as part of physical education in a higher educational institution. According to their preferences, first-year students are suggested to choose either team sports (football, mini-football, volleyball, basketball), individual sports (table tennis, athletics, arm wrestling, weightlifting, boxing, swimming, chess, and checkers), or fitness activities for physical education classes in an educational institution. The comparative analysis of the obtained data demonstrates the pattern of an increase from 65.1% in the 2015-2016 academic year to 71.0% in the 2020-2021 academic year in the number of young men, who have chosen and are engaged in a certain sport in an educational institution, and decrease from 34.9% in the 2015-2016 academic year to 29.0% in the 2020-2021 academic year in the number of young women interested in physical activity at the university. Within five years, the number of young men choosing team sports has decreased from 75.6% in the 2015-2016 academic year to 63.3% in the 2020-2021 academic year, and the number of young men interested in individual sports has increased from 24.4 % in the 2015-2016 academic year to 36.7% in the 2020-2021 academic year. Fitness classes remain the most popular among female students, although there has been a decrease in the number of young women choosing it for physical education from 83.3% to 71.8% over five years. Team sports are gaining more popularity among first-year female students with only 5.3% choosing them as part of physical education in an educational institution in the 2015-2016 academic year, to 10.2% in the 2020-2021 academic year. A gradual interest in individual sports from 11.4% to 18.0% is observed in young women over five years.

The physical education system of the students with chronic diseases, health disorders, congenital anomalies, and low level of physical development and physical fitness, does not sufficiently address efficiency restoration and ensuring normal life. The analysis of literature sources actualized the problem and conclusively proved the need for a comprehensive, systematic study of the health of young students. The aim of the study: to monitor the number of students with health disorders at higher education institutions. The research methods: literary, conceptual and comparative analysis; the analysis of the medical examination of students; pedagogical observation; statistical methods. The object of observation was the students of higher education institutions of a special medical group in the amount of 867 people. Studies conducted for a long time in the educational institution "PolesU", confirmed the superiority of cardiovascular diseases among other pathologies (22.15%). In the 2014/2015 academic year, diseases were recorded in 26.51% of students of the special medical group. The reduction in the number of students enrolled in SMG by the third year indicates that due attention is being paid to correcting their physical condition and improving their health. The largest number of students among those classified by health status as a special medical group was the first-year students.

Objective: to conduct a sociological study aimed at identifying the «primary» bioethical notions of the first-year and six-year students of the Faculty of General Medicine of the educational institution «Gomel State Medical University».Material and methods. The results of a survey of 115 first-year students and 114 six-year students of the Faculty of General Medicine were analyzed. Results. The survey has revealed statistically significant differences in the responses of the first- and six-year students to questions regarding the use of the human body or its separate organs and tissues for purposes of practical medicine or biomedical research ( χ2 = 5.27; p = 0.022), personal social status as the basis for making decisions about any medico-biological manipulation ( χ2 = 9.33; p = 0.002), necessity of the present-day form of human biological existence in future ( χ2 = 6.51; p = 0.011), acceptability of separating personal consciousness from the physical body for the human society in future ( χ2 = 4.23; p = 0.04), necessity to take a special «oath» to perform professional activities in everyday medical practice ( χ2 = 8.92; p = 0.003).Conclusion. The results of the study have shown that the first-year students have no clearly formed system of bioethical notions of living beings and possibilities for medical manipulations with them due to the lack of essential relevant knowledge. The sixth year students demonstrate more conscious answers to the questionnaire questions, which indicates the presence of theoretical knowledge and formation of their bioethical outlook for the subsequent development of practical skills for making moral decisions on this basis.
