This Research and Development study aimed to determine the retention of natural science learning achievement with the PDC Model (Preparing, Doing, Concluding). The subject of this research was the 7th students at The Public Primary School 2 of Umbulsari during even semester of 2015/2016 academic year. Data analysis applied qualitative descriptive. Retention of learning outcomes of Natural Science with PDC instructional model (Preparing, Doing, Concluding) was obtained from the scores of learning achievement after the implementation the PDC instructional model. The results of the average score of student retention were 97.61% high category in cycle 1, 98.23% high category in cycle 2, and 99.91% high category in cycle 3. All in all, it can be concluded the retention of Natural Science learning achievement with instructional model PDC (Preparing, Doing, Concluding) is classified as high category.

This Classroom Action Research was conducted in January - March at even semester of the 2018/2019 academic year. The background of the problem in this study is the low learning achievement of grade V students of SDN 3 Sukajawa in the 2018/2019 academic year. The formulation of the problem of this research is how to improve the results of science learning through the Make A Match learning model in class V SDN 3 Sukajawa Bandar Lampung in the academic year 2018/2019. The problem solving in this research is to use Make A Match learning model. The purpose of this study was to improve the quality of science learning through the Make A Match model in class V SDN 3 Sukajawa Bandar Lampung. The research design used three cycles, each cycle consisting of four stages, namely planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. The research subjects were fifth grade students of SDN 3 Sukajawa Bandar Lampung. Data collection techniques using observation and tests. In the first cycle, the average score of teacher skills was 2.8 with good categories, the percentage value of student activity was 58.6%, the average value of student learning achievement was 56.67 and learning completeness was 58.3%. In the second cycle, the average value of teacher skills was 34 with good categories, the percentage value of student activity was 64.8%, the average value of student learning achievement was 67.22 and learning completeness was 72.2%. Whereas in cycle III the average score of teacher skills was 3.9 with good category, the percentage value of student activity was 76.9%, the average value of student learning achievement was 75.28 and learning completeness was 88.89%

Scientific literacy is the ability which must be owned by the students to analyze and apply the concept of science in solving daily life problem. This research aims to know the correlation between scientific literacy and science learning achievement at State Junior High Schools. This research used a quantitative approach with correlational type. The population of this research were 428 grade IX students at State Junior High Schools within the District of Jaluko Muaro Jambi. The samples was 138 students. The technique of selecting samples was random sampling. The instruments used were the test of science literacy and the test of science learning achievement. Hypothesis test was conducted by using rank spearman correlation test with the assistance of SPSS 21. The results show the average score of scientific literacy is 33.7 (medium category) and the average score of science learning achievement is 21.5 (very low category). The result of the correlation test obtains Sig value 0.00 then H<sub>o</sub> is rejected. It can be concluded that there is a significant correlation between scientific literacy and science learning achievement at State Junior High School within Muaro Jambi District. Science learning is expected to develop students’ science literacy so that it can improve science learning achievement.

Natural science was concerned with finding out the nature sistematically, so natural science was not only the mastery of a knowledge collection of facts, concepts or principles but also a process of discovery. Natural science learning might be conducted in scientific inquiry to cultivate the ability to think, work and be scientific and communicate it as an important aspect of life skills.The demonstration method was a way of presenting the lesson by demonstrating and showing the students of a particular process, situation or object learned in the actual form or in the form of an imitation shown by the teacher or other learning resources who was expert in the topic of discussion to be demonstrated.Meanwhile the objective of this research was: to know the improving of natural science learning result of plant reproductionusing demonstration learning method on grade VI students of SDN 7 Patokan Situbondo subdistrict Situbondo regency in first semester of2015/2016 academic year.This research used action research as much as two circles. This research target was  the grade VI students of SDN 7 Patokan Situbondo subdistrict Situbondo regency in first semester of 2015/2016 academic year. Data were obtained in the form of formative test results, observation sheet of teaching and learning activities.From the analysis results were obtained that the students learning result improved from cycle I to cycle II. It was marked by the improving of students’ achievement in cycle I obtained an average score of 71.81 with 62.5% complete learning and on the second cycle improved with an average score of 74.93 with 87.5% mastery.

This research aims to develop the activities-based instructional material in junior high school natural science learning on sense of hearing and sonar systems topic through Media Interactive CD to improve learning achievement. This research use research and development. The model used is taken from Dick and Carey’s developmental model. The tests used are one group pre-test and post-test. The data analysis technique used descriptive quantitative and qualitative. The results showed that (1) the validation of teaching materials id categorized as feasible, (2) the feasibility of teaching materials with the average score of 3.7 is categorized as good, the percentages of students' response to learning and media are 98.81% and 90.48% , categorized as very good, 99,29% legibility of media is categorized as very good, (3) the effective teaching materials to reach the achievement of students’ competency and activate students gets an average score of 3.25, the cognitive aspect of learning outcomes is categorized as "B+", the aspect of skill is 3.58, categorized as " A- ", aspects of spiritual attitude is 3.67, categorized as very good, aspects of social attitudes is 3.60, categorized as very good. Based on the research findings, we can conclude that the activities-based instructional material in junior high school natural science learning on sense of hearing and sonar systems topic through Media Interactive CD is feasible, practical and effective to be used in the teaching and learning process.  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar berbasis aktivitas dengan media CD interaktif dalam pembelajaran IPA SMP pada materi indera pendengaran dan sistem sonar untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan bahan ajar. Model pengembangan yang  digunakan  adalah  model  Dick  and  Carey.  Uji  coba  bahan  ajar  di  dalam  kelas  menggunakan rancangan one group pre-test and post-test design. Teknik analisis yang dikembangkan adalah deskriptif kuantitaif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) validasi bahan ajar berkategori layak, (2) kepraktisan bahan ajar berkategori baik dengan skor rata-rata keterlaksanaan 3,7 berkategori baik, persentase respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran dan media 98,81% dan 90,48% berkategori sangat baik, keterbacaan media 99,29% berkategori sangat baik, (3)  bahan  ajar  efektif untuk menfasilitasi siswa mencapai ketercapaian kompetensi dan mengaktifkan siswa dengan skor rata-rata hasil belajar aspek pengetahuan 3,25 berkategori “B+”, aspek keterampilan 3,58 berkategori “A-“, aspek sikap spiritual 3,67 berkategori sangat  baik,  aspek  sikap  sosial  3,60  berkategori  sangat  baik.  Berdasarkan temuan  hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahan ajar berbasis aktivitas dengan media CD interaktif dalam pembelajaran IPA SMP pada materi indera pendengaran dan sistem sonar layak, praktis dan efektif digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran.

This research aims to produce physics learning material based on cooperative learning model type of Think-Pair-Share with mind map strategy that valid, practical, and effective to improve students learning achievement on optical instrument material. The development of learning material used the 4-D model and was tested in class VIII of islamics junior high school Mambaul Ulum Bata-Bata in academic year 2015-2016 with One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The result of this research are: 1) Learning material developed has a valid category an average score 3,51; (2) Learning material in terms of a practical category in feasibility of lesson plans and the students’ activities in accordance with steps of cooperative model; (3) The learning material effective to improve students learning achievement; it were supported by the results of positive response of student’s toward learning as much as 83%; mastery study results showed an increase in the attitude aspect with high category, n-gain of knowledge aspect 0,81 with high category, n-gain of skill aspect 0,66 with medium category, and n-gain of mind map skill 0,67 with medium category. Based on the data analysis it had been concluded that the learning material cooperative learning model type of Think-Pair-Share with mind map strategy were feasible to be used in learning process to improve students learning achievement on science. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran model kooperatif tipe TPS dengan strategi mind map yang valid, praktis, dan efektif untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi alat-alat optik. Pengembangan perangkat menggunakan model 4-D dan diujicobakan di kelas VIII MTs Mambaul Ulum Bata-Bata Pamekasan tahun ajaran 2015/2016 dengan one-group pretest-posttest design. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: 1) perangkat yang dikembangkan berkategori valid dengan skor rata-rata 3,51; 2) Perangkat pembelajaran ditinjau dari keterlaksanaan RPP berkategori praktis dengan skor rata-rata 3,61 dan aktivitas siswa sesuai dengan tahapan-tahapan pada pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS; 3) Perangkat yang dikembangkan berkategori efektif untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa, hal ini didukung oleh hasil respon siswa positif terhadap pembelajaran sebesar 83%; ketuntasan hasil belajar pada aspek sikap dengan kategori sangat baik, ketuntasan hasil belajar aspek pengetahuan menunjukkan peningkatan dengan N-gain 0,81, kategori tinggi, ketuntasan hasil belajar aspek keterampilan proses sains menunjukkan peningkatan dengan N-gain 0,66, kategori sedang; dan ketuntasan hasil belajar aspek keterampilan membuat mind map menunjukkan peningkatan dengan N-gain 0,67, kategori sedang. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian di atas dapat disimpulkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS dengan strategi mind map layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi Alat-alat Optik.

The purpose of this study was to determine the implementation of group guidance as an effort to improve the science learning achievement of respiratory material in the class VIII B of Junior High School 1 Sawit, Boyolali at the second semester of 2017/2018 academic year. The research method used is Classroom Action Research. The independent variable is the implementation of group guidance. Science learning achievement is the dependent variable. The population is class VIII B of Junior High School 1 Sawit, Boyolali at the second semester 2017/2018 academic year. How to take samples with the value of student test and direct supervision of the learning process, from counseling guidance teachers and homeroom teachers. Research result. Based on the results of learning research after application with the group guidance method can improve from the initial conditions to the second cycle. There was an increase in the average value of 71.09 to 79.38, increasing by 8.29. The number of students completed from 11 to 28, from the value of 60 to 70, increasing by 10 points. The highest score of 90 to 95, increased by 5 points.

This action research aims: (1) to improve the science learning outcomes of VIIA class students in the even semester of SMP Negeri 1 Manggis in the academic year 2017/2018 by applying the learning investigation (GI) learning model assisted by learning videos. This type of research is classroom action research. The subjects of this study were 30 students in class VIIA, and the object of this study was the science learning outcomes. This action research is planned to be carried out in two cycles. Learning outcomes data were collected using multiple choice tests. Data were analyzed by descriptive analysis. The results showed that: (1) The natural science learning outcomes of the VIIA class in the second semester increased in the first cycle by an average of 70, 70% absorption, with a 50% grade completeness, and an average cycle II of 77, 77 absorption %, with 86.6% class completeness. With the achievement of an average of 77 Natural Science learning outcomes, it means that it is above the established success level of 70, so that the action is considered successful. Thus it can be said that the application of the learning investigation (GI) group learning model assisted by learning videos can improve the learning outcomes of natural science students in class VIIA an even number at SMPN 1 Manggis in the academic year 2017/2018.

This research aims to develop valid, practical, and effective science learning material using project learning model to facilitate creative thinking skills on object motion in junior high school. Design of the development are used follow 4D model desin. The learning kit being validated by experts are syllabus, lesson plan, student work sheet, handout, and creative thinking question. The objective of this research was to trial learning materials in 39 grade VIII students in SMPN 31 Surabaya with One Group Pretest Postes Design. The results were analyzed by descriptive quantitative and qualitative. The result were obtained shows that the developed learning materials are: (1) Validity of learning material valid category (3,58); (2) Practicality based on: a) Feasibility of instruction good category (3,9); b) Readability of worksheets and student’s book students stating that the content and appearance of worksheets and student’s book good category; (3) Effectiveness based on: a) Student’s activities high category (93%); b) Result of creative thinking students increased with medium category (N-Gain: 0,62), result of creative thinking students increased with medium category (N-Gain:0,674) in fluency thinking aspect, result of creative thinking students increased with high category (N-Gain:0,726) in flexible thinking aspect, result of creative thinking students increased with medium category (N-Gain:0,531) in original thinking aspect, and result of creative thinking students increased with medium category (N-Gain:0,530) in elaboration thinking aspect; c)The response of students very positively (92%). The conclusion of this research that science learning material developed base on project learning model valid, practical, and effective to facilitate student’s creative thinking in junior high school. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaranIPA model proyek yang valid, praktis, dan efektif untuk melatihkan berpikir kreatif siswa SMP materi gerak benda. Rancangan pengembangan yang digunakan mengikuti rancanagn model 4D. Perangkat  pembelajaran yang dikembangkan meliputi Silabus, RPP, Handout siswa, LKP, dan Soal berpikir kreatif. Sasaran penelitian adalah perangkat pembelajaran yang diujicobakan pada 39 siswa kelas VIII SMPN 31 Surabaya dengan rancangan menggunakan One Group Pretest-Postest Design. Hasil penelitian dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan dinyatakan: (1) Validitas perangkat kategori valid (3,58); (2) Kepraktisan perangkat yang meliputi: a) Keterlaksanaan baik (3,9); b)Keterbacaan Handout dan LKP baik; (3) Keefektifan perangkat pembelajaran yang meliputi: a) Aktivitas siswa dengan kategori tinggi (93%); b) Hasil berpikir kreatif siswa mengalami peningkatan dengan kategori sedang (N-Gain: 0,62), pada aspek berpikir lancar (fluent) mengalami peningkatan berkategori sedang (N-Gain: 0,674), berpikir luwes (flexible) mengalami peningkatan berkategori tinggi (N-Gain: 0.726), berpikir orisinal (original) mengalami peningkatan berkategori sedang (N-Gain: 0,531), dan berpikir terperinci (elaboration) mengalami peningkatan berkategori sedang (N-Gain: 0,530); c) Respon siswa terhadap perangkat dan model pembelajaran sangat positif (92%). Simpulan penelitian ini bahwa perangkat pembelajaran IPA model proyek valid, praktis, dan efektif untuk melatihkan berpikir kreatif siswa SMP.

The objective of this research was improving learning motivation and learning achievement of XI Accounting 1 Students of SMK Negeri 1 Pengasih Academic Year 2016/2017 using Cooperative Learning Model Team Game Tournament (TGT) on the subject Accounting for Trading Company. This research was Classroom Action Research (CAR) collaborating with teacher in two cycle. Data collection technique used were questionnare, documentation, and test. Based on research result concluded that implementation of Cooperative Learning Model Team Games Tournament (TGT) could improve Learning Motivation and Learning Achievement of XI Accounting 1 student of SMK 1 Pengasih Academic Year 2016/2017  evidenced by improvement of motivation score and achievement score. Motivation questionnare result shown improvement of students’ learning motivation improved to 5.97% from cycle I of 72.41% increased to 78.13% in cycle II. Improvement of Accounting Learning Achievement calculated from the average score increase of 23.78% in first cycle and increased of 19.61% in the second cycle.Keywords: Cooperative Learning, Team Game Tournament, Learning Motivation, Learning Achievement

<p>This study is conducted to find out and to describe to what extent the use of Jigsaw Technique improves the students’ reading comprehension, and to describe the classroom situation when Jigsaw Technique is implemented in reading class. The population of this study is the students of grade VIII in a state junior high school in Boyolali in the academic year 2017/2018 consists of 21 students. The data were collected by observation, interview, and test. The research findings showed that the teacher dominated the teaching-learning process, while the students were not active to give responses but passive to ask questions. The  brief explanation of this study can be presented as follows. The first students reading ability could be improved through the use of Jigsaw technique, before the research was done, the average score of the students’ reading ability was only 59.6, but after the research one for cycle 1, it improved to 65. In cycle 2, it increased up to 71.5. Next, there were also improvements of class situation in teaching learning process and it helps to improve students’ reading ability and more engaged in learning process.</p>
