The 'Baiq Nuril' case is a case involving a former honorary teacher at SMAN 7 Mataram, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), named Baiq Nuril Maknun with his superior, Mr. Muslim, who is the principal of SMAN 7 Mataram. In this regard, this study is interested in examining the case to find out the reflection of its learning in order to improve the quality of educational professional ethics. In this study, several problems were also formulated, namely related to the complete chronology of the 'Baiq Nuril' case, regarding the ethics of the educational profession related to the 'Baiq Nuril' case, along with the reflection of learning from the case as an increase in the quality of educational professional ethics. This study uses a case study research type, with data collection methods using library research techniques and using data analysis from Miles and Huberman. The results of this study indicate that there are several educational professional ethics that were violated in the 'Baiq Nuril' case, especially those concerning the personal competence of education personnel. Through this research, it is hoped that it can provide a reflection of learning so that similar cases do not happen again in the future, and are useful in improving the ethics of the educational profession.

Abstract One strategy of communities to easily embrace ecological awareness is by involving directly in the improvement of their environmental quality. This paper discusses the case study research of the co-design process of the neighborhood regeneration project in Kampung Tongkol at the Ciliwung riverbank, Jakarta. This project is carried out collaboratively involving residents of the area and facilitated by ASF (Architecture Sans Frontières) Indonesia. The main important object of this regeneration project is the construction of a self-supporting sample house. This house aims as an ideal model which another neighborhood can replicate. Residents are directly involved in the organizing, the design process, to the construction stage. The primary purpose of regeneration is to improve the quality of the residential environment. The principles of sustainable design are employed as the main guidance from the beginning of the process. This study concludes that the final achievement of this project not only results in a higher quality environment but also raises the ecological awareness of the residents of the neighborhood.

This study was motivated by a phenomenon that appears in madrasa, namely: 1) the low quality of graduates, in MAN 1 with an average result of UAN 58.5 and MAN 2 57.8 from a maximum score of 100; 2) inconsistency in planning, implementing, evaluating programs to improve quality. The purpose of this study was to identify: work programs, program implementation, evaluation of program implementation, program impacts, and supporting factors inhibiting the improvement of the quality of madrasa. The approach of this study was qualitative-naturalistic, with a descriptive research type. This research method was a case study, with data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and documentation study. Meanwhile, the data analysis technique used the interactive Miles model. The results of this study showed: evaluation of quality improvement which is carried out through an evaluation of needs assessment, assessment of input, assessment of processes and assessment of results.

AbstractMathematics has an important role in life. However, in the practice of learning some students still regard mathematics as a difficult subject. The evidence in the field shows that the geometry learning result is still low. Difficulties in geometrical matter can affect the difficulties of other parts of the material itself, since many of the subjects in the geometry are interconnected. This study aims to determine the factors causing student difficulties in the process of solving geometry problems based on the stages of thinking Van Hiele and to see students' achievement in understanding geometry based on the stages of thinking geometry Van Hiele. The research method used is qualitative research method with case study research type. Research subjects taken as many as 6 students from class VII C SMP Negeri 6 Garut. The results showed that students' achievement in the process of solving geometry problems based on the stage of thinking Van Hiele at most is at stage 0 (visualization). This is indicated by the high percentage of student achievement in the visualization stage that is as much as 96.87%. The achievement of the best stage of Van Hiele thinking was achieved at 3.13% in stage 1 (Analysis). For stage 2 (informal deduction) and stage 3 (deduction) no students have been able to reach that stage. Factors that cause student difficulties in rectangular material caused by several things, namely the understanding of the concept and the characteristics of the rectangle is lacking, previous understanding of the material wake rectangular flat that is still less strong, the lack of skills to use geometric ideas in solving math problems Relating to wake up quadrilateral, as well as class conditions that are less conducive to learning.Keyword: Student difficulties on geometry, Van Hiele thinking stages, Qualitative, Case Studies.
