Cassava is one of the main foods consumed by Indonesian people and main ingredients to make tapioca flour. In North Sumatera there is factory that produced tapioca flour to fulfill consumer demand. To be able to meet the needs of consumers and seize market share, the product must have a good quality. Product specifications are a reference for product quality and measured with 7 parameters. The seven parameters include whiteness, moisture content, spotness, ash content, thinness, residual screen, pH flour, which meets the Indonesian National Standard. In this research we use two parameters (whiteness and spotness) to determine the quality of cassava and help the factory to maintain their product quality. In here we use blob and edge detection method in image processing to detect spot and after that classified the cassava by using an ID3 algorithm.

Quality control of traditional Chinese medicines (TCMs) used clinically is becoming a challenge and has limited the development of TCM due to the high variability in concentration levels of active ingredients and markers as well as the lack of well-established criteria. Using Shengmai injection, which is a well-established TCM, as an example, we developed an integrated profiling approach that simultaneously captures the entire spectrum of ingredients and quantitatively determines the levels of seven key ingredients in the TCM product. A multivariate statistical model was constructed to establish a “seven-marker-” based quality standard that qualified the majority of samples in this study. This newly developed strategy showed that a panel of key ingredients or markers in the TCM product were relatively consistent within a statistically acceptable range. Therefore, this metabolomics-based approach will complement the current quality control standard using the concentration of several key ingredients or their total content and help improve the consistency and clinic efficacy of TCM products.

In an era of industrial revolution 4.0, technology is increasingly sophisticated, requiring companies to be more creative. Product quality control is an effort to minimize the defective products produced by the company. The production of weaving sarongs at PT SUKORINTEX pays attention to the accuracy of the length and width of the sarong to conform to the standards set by the company. To find out the quality of woven sarong products at PT SUKORINTEX, analysis was performed using Multivariate Exponentially Weighted Moving Average (MEWMA) control charts and multivariate kernel control charts. The research variable was the characteristics of the X sarongs which is reflected in 2 variates, namely the average length and average width. Based on the results and discussion that has been done, the MEWMA control chart used a weighting λ which is determined using trial and error. MEWMA control charts can be said to be stable and controlled by λ = 0.1, Upper Control Limit (UCL) of 14.62943, and Lower Control Limit (LCL) of 0. Multivariate kernel control chart were declared uncontrolled with α = 0.1 and level = 0.06130611 because there were data that was outside the contour. Chart improvement was done by trial and error and obtained a controlled chart results at α = 0.01 and a level value of 0.03125701. Based on this case study, the quality control of the average length and width of WADIMOR woven sarong types 30 STR with MEWMA is better than the multivariate kernel density, because MEWMA is controlled and stable in controlling product quality. The results of the MEWMA control chart show a capable process because more than 1 process capability index value is obtained. Keywords: Multivariate Exponentially Weighted Moving Average (MEWMA) control chart, multivariate kernel control chart, process capability.

Quality is one of the important things variables when we produce any product. That’s why we need to establish a quality inspection to support our production. This research is about quality control in PT CreativindoPromocipta. Quality control need to establish from the very first step of production till the product delivered to our customer. From this research, we could find out that each company having their own quality standard, so it’s generally makes a different quality control policy in the same industry. PT CreativindoPromocipta using 100% inspection for their quality control strategy’s, along 2006 we found that, there is product which having bad quality, so this company needs to refresh their policy. From this research too we could conclude that PT CreativindoPromocipta needs to applied 100% inspection policy from the very beginning of production process to maximize product quality.

Key Words: Level of defected product, Inspection, Quality Control

In the production process, Mr. Karsidin's business still has product defects that can be observed at the beginning of this study that is presented in table 1.1. The study aims to determine the product quality level is still in control limits measurement of Mr. Karsidin’s Home Industry Business, analyze types of defects and control production quality using statistical quality control (SQC). The method in the study was statistical quality control (SQC) to monitor standards, make measurements and take corrective actions while the product or service is being produced. The quality control tools were Observation Sheet, Histogram, Cause and Effect Diagram and Control Diagram (p Chart). The result indicates that the product quality by Mr. Karsidin's business during the observation period from April to May 2019 is at the control limit. Further, based on p control analysis there is no point that exceeds Upper Limit or Lower Limit. The production process should be given more attention, especially at several main factors such as workers or human factors, in which there are a lot of negligence in the production process. Mr. Karsidin should make improvement to the defects directly that at the cause level, including raw material, machinery, method and human factors based on the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
