Hydroponics systems require tremendous attention both in nutrition, plant growth, the risk of pest and disease attacks. Thus, this hydroponic farming system requires high experience and expertise that is the main obstacle for business actors who want to start a vegetable cultivation business with a hydroponic system, especially for business actors who do not have a background in agriculture. The hydroponic cultivation expert system in this study aims to detect plant diseases and pests and provide solutions to these diseases. In addition, this expert system application also aims to monitor plant needs, so this application can help farmers grow up hydroponic vegetable cultivation businesses. The combination of the forward and backward chaining methods is applied to detect plant diseases and pests. Whereas the forward chaining method use to monitor plant needs. The combination of the forward and backward chaining methods in identifying plant diseases and pests can make it easier for users to determine the suffered by plants and provide information about these diseases. The application of the forward chaining method in monitoring plant needs can identify the level of fulfilment of entails of each component of plant needs according to the type of plant and the day after planting. The application of this hydroponic expert system can overcome the limited number of hydroponic experts in helping farmers identify plant diseases and pests and monitor plant needs.

The purpose of this paper is to create an expert system to detect oil palm plant diseases in order to help farmers / companies in providing accurate information about the diseases of oil palm plants and how to overcome them and to help reduce the risk of decreasing palm oil production. This system is designed to mimic the expertise of an expert who is able to detect diseases that attack oil palm plants. The method used is forward chaining that is starting from a set of data and proving a fact by describing the level of confidence and uncertainty found in a hypothesis. The results of this study are to diagnose diseases of oil palm plants and their computerization using web programming languages.

Increasing the population of cattle in Aek Nagali village, especially in hamlet V, really helps the economy of the community, the health of the livestock raised by breeders is important for the animals themselves. It is difficult for veterinarians in Aek Nagali village so that it is the custom of people in the village where when their cows are sick and dying they are immediately slaughtered and the meat is traded. Even though this does not mean that the cow is suitable for consumption or not because there is a cow disease that can be transmitted to humans when eating beef. The purpose of this research is to build an expert system-based system that can provide an overview or decision. The method used is Forward Chaining and Backward Chaining in diagnosing cow disease. The discussion is focused on applying Forward Chaining and Backward Chaining rules and applying them to the system. From the results of research, the backward and forward methods provide information on how to prevent and treat cattle disease so that breeders can know what steps to take.

The development of hydroponic suitable methods is currently quite good, the utilization of the narrow land availability and the people's attractiveness to hydroponics are the reasons for the developing hydroponic suitable method. However, in its development, there is less land with soil growing media, there is a pattern of farming using water media, namely hydroponics (Hydroponics). Hydroponic cultivation must pay attention to the elements that plants need, such as providing special nutrition to plants. The provision of nutrition that is done manually often results in irregular nutrition in hydroponics which results in disruption of hydroponic plant growth and harvest is not optimal. Research on the Smart Hydroponics System based on the Raspberry Pi 3 using the tidal hydroponic system can make it easier for every human being who wants to grow crops especially who are busy with work activities. With the research methodology using flowchart design methods and system block diagrams, where the Raspberry Pi 3 Mini Computer is used to control pumps in the circulation of hydroponic plant nutrients. Set the nutrient pump On / Off, display a Video Stream from the Cyberlink C170 webcam to check the progress of fruit or vegetable crops ready for harvest. Everything is done remotely via the Web Interface at the Manapu location so that with this research, monitoring can be carried out and it is easier to provide the elements needed by plants

Rice (Oryza sativa) is one of the main commodities in Indonesia. One of the inhibitors of rice crop production is disease. Rice plant diseases can be caused by pathogens, host plants or bad environment. The process of diagnosing rice diseases requires expertise, knowledge and experience. This study aims to build an expert system that can diagnose 13 types of rice plant diseases from 43 symptoms based on the knowledge of 3 experts with forward chaining reasoning methods and mobile-based dempster shafer calculation methods. The testing technique used is black box testing, theoretical calculation testing, system accuracy testing and MOS (Mean Opinion Score) testing. The black box test results state that the expert system has 100% compatibility in terms of functionality. The theoretical calculation test results state that the expert system calculations are in accordance with the results of manual calculations. System accuracy testing results from 30 test cases get an accuracy of 81.11%. The results of MOS testing conducted on 30 respondents produced MOS of 4.2 from a scale of 5 categorized into a good system.

- This adenium plant is a plant that began to demand by many hobbyist plants because plants have unique characteristics Adenium. In addition adenium treatment is also very easy, but adenium plants are also susceptible to pest disease, so it becomes a disease that can make this adenium plant damaged or dead. The lack of expert on adenium plant diseases causes the hobbyists to find it difficult to recognize the symptoms and ways to cure when the plant is infected with the disease. This expert system is made to facilitate the hobbyists in coping with adenium plant diseases. The method used in this expert system is forward chaining, because the Forward Chaining method is a suitable method for the control and forecasting of adenium plant diseases. This expert system application will display the question about the symptoms of adenium plant disease that attack and can be found the solution by experts who have experienced in their field, after that the system will display the results of the disease that attacks his adenium plants along with the characteristics and how to cope with the disease.  Keywords: Adenium, Expert System, Forward Chaining

A doctor or medical scholar needs a reference book to learn how to diagnose tropical diseases. This reference book is sometimes a hassle if you have to carry it everywhere. This reference book is also impractical if you have to search it first to find the symptoms and diseases you want to study. So that we need a system to make it easier for doctors and medical scholars to study the science of diagnosis and look for symptoms and diseases. Expert systems are knowledge-based programs that provide expert quality solutions to problems in a specific domain. This expert system is used in the fields of medicine, agriculture, business, and others. Expert systems in the field of medicine make it easy to identify diseases suffered by patients through the symptoms present in the patient. This expert system helps doctors make diagnoses to convince doctors about the results of the diagnosis. The expert system in this study uses a combined method. The combined method is forward chaining and backward chaining. The forward chaining method is used to determine specific symptoms that appear, while the backward chaining method is used to trace general symptoms that arise from specific symptoms that have been previously selected. The result of combining these methods provides a diagnostic percentage of 100%. Meanwhile, the user's assessment of the system gives a good response.

Farmersknowledge about dragon fruit disease is still low. Many farmers still rely on the knowledge of an expert to be able to diagnose a disease, so it takes a long and costly. This expert system can be used as information and guidelines for disease that appears on dragon fruit plants and to fill them. Pests on dragon fruit include mealybugs, aphids, ants, grasshoppers, mites and snails. While the disease in dragon fruit include: rust red algae, patches of orange tendrils, white vine, vine blight and anthracnose.The method used is backward chaining and forward chaining, the system is implemented into a web that can be operated by the public, especially dragon fruit farmer. This expert system is an application that uses facts and reasoning techniques that are used by an expert. The use of this expert system can provide information and guidance to users in the form of possible types of diseases that attack the dragon fruit plants based on symptoms entered by the user. This system can provide assistance in the form of services to farmers or farmers plant dragon fruit dragon fruit to diagnose disease in a timely fashion

The purpose of this research is to design a web-based expert system application to provide information about chili plant diseases and to diagnose the symptoms of diseases that attack chili plants and to provide solutions for appropriate handling methods, which can be accessed anywhere and utilized by the wider community and can speed up the time to deal with diseases that attack chili plants. This study uses the Forward Chaining and Naïve Bayes Methods in order to know the facts/signs of chili disease so that you can get the best quality chili. Based on the results of the discussion and calculation of the web-based expert system for diagnosing chili disease using the Forward Chaining and Naïve Bayes methods, it can be concluded that a simple application it can make it easier for users to diagnose chili disease and find out the causes and solutions. <p>Penelitian ini membangun suatu sistem pakar untuk menentukan menu makanan sehat berdasarkan golongan darah dan tingkat kadar kolesterol pasien dengan metode Forward Chaining. Tujuan untuk membantu orang awam dalam menentukan menu makanan sehat untuk pasien kolesterol. Sistem ini menganalisa masalah penentuan menu makanan sehat berdasarkan golongan darah dan tingkat kadar kolesterol pasien. Hasil yang diperoleh dari sitem pakar ini adalah berupa informasi makanan sehat yang akan dikonsumsi oleh pasien kolesterol dengan jenis golongan darah dan tingkat kadar kolesterol yang berbeda. Analisa dilakukan dengan cara mengetahui jenis golongan darah dan tingkat kadar kolesterol pasien yang ditampilkan oleh program sistem pakar ini, rancangan sistem ini menggunakan inference forward chaining, dengan implementasi sistem menggunakan sistem database Microsoft Office Access dan bahasa pemrograman Visual Basic 6.0. Dari rancangan aplikasi sistem pakar yang dibuat, maka orang awam yang memderita kolesterol dapat menentukan menu makanan sehat untuk di konsumsi berdasarkan golongan darah dan tingkat kadar kolesterol dengan menjalankan aplikasi sistem pakar.</p><p><em><br /></em></p><p><em><em>This study builds an expert system to determine the healthy food menu based on blood type and cholesterol levels of patients with Forward Chaining method. The goal is to help the layman in determining a healthy diet for cholesterol patients. This system analyzes the problem of determining healthy food menu based on blood group and patient cholesterol level. The results obtained from this expert system is in the form of healthy food information that will be consumed by cholesterol patients with the type of blood group and different cholesterol levels. From the design of expert system applications created, the layman who memderita cholesterol can determine the healthy diet to be consumed by blood type and cholesterol level by running an expert system application.<br /> <br /> </em></em></p>
