The aim of this research is to analyze the application of Problem Based Learning (PBL) model to students' communication skills on environmental pollution material. The method used was Quasi-experimental with pretest-posttest control group design. The population is all students of class X and sampel used as many as 38 students in the experimental class and 38 students in a class taken control receipts Cluster random sampling technique. The instruments used in this research are description test, performance assessment, observation sheet and questionnaire. The results showed that the complete body of the stages of the model PBL and implemented in accordance with the order of the syntax of the learning model, so it can improve the communication skills of students is evident from the results of hypothesis testing showed the value of tcount > t table (4.61>2.65) then H 1 received. Where the average value obtained 82 posttest experimental class in the high category while the control class 68 including lower category, then taught using a model of PBL in the experimental class is better than classroom teaching model of control. This proved that the model of PBL affects the communication skills of students as a model of PBL as a whole engages students in the learning process from beginning to end. Research on the effect of the problem-based learning model in the basic laws of chemistry on student’s learning outcomes in class X MAN 2 Model Palu has been done. This study aimed to determine the effect of the application of the problem-based learning model in the basic laws of chemistry on student’s learning outcomes in class X MAN 2 Model Palu. The type of research was a quasi-experimental study non-randomized design with pretest-posttest control group design. The sample was conducted with a purposive sampling technique. The study sample was students in class X MIA 6 as an experimental group (n = 22) and students in class X MIA 3 as a control group (n = 22). The data testing of students' learning outcomes used a non-parametric statistical analysis, the analysis of Mann-Whitney U-Test. The research results indicated that the mean value of the experiment class was high compared to the control class, 22.61 >18.39. The statistical analysis obtained that sig. 2-tailed (0,032) ˂ 0.05 and Zcalculation (-2.149) ˂ Ztable (-1.96). The average value of the experiment class was 82.95 while the average value of the control class was 73.64. So it can be concluded that there is the effect of applying the problem-based learning model in the basic laws of chemistry on student’s learning outcomes.

The purpose of writing this paper is to study the enhancement of mathematical communication skills of students who have gained the implementation of Somatic, Auditory, Visual, and Intellectual (SAVI) approaches better than those who have learned scientific approaches. The approach used is a quantitative approach with the type of quasi-experimental design with a nonequivalent control group design. The population in this study are all grade X students of SMK Negeri 1 Nisam with a sample of TBSM II class students as an experimental class and TKJ I as a control class taken to use the purposive sampling technique. The data collection techniques used in this research are mathematical communication skills tests of students and observation sheets. Data analysis was done using test-t, that because the data of the n-gain score obtained with normal distribution, but has a variance that is not homogeneous. The significant result of the statistics equal variances not assumed is 0.00 smaller than 0.05 H0 is rejected. The result showed that the enhancement of mathematical communication skills of students who gained the implementation of somatic, auditory, visual, and intellectual (SAVI) were better than students who gained scientific learning approaches.

This study aim to determine the effect of Problem Based Learning (PBL) models in mind map integration to creativity of problem solving in the environmental pollution concept of graders X. The method used is a Quasi-experimental design form Nonequivalent Control Group Design (pretest- posttest). The study population is all the students of graders X academic year 2017/2018 as many as 9 classes with the number of 360 students. The sample used was 80 students from two classes as an experimental class and a control class. Sampling was done by Cluster Random Sampling technique. Instruments used include test descriptions, questionnaires and teacher observation sheets. The results of the analysis of the test descriptions creativity in problem solving obtained results of hypothesis testing (t test) i.e. 20.5 t count > t table of 2.66 means that Ho refused and Hi accepted, it means PBL learning models in Mind Map integration effect on creativity in problems solving. This is indicated by an increase in the average score on each indicator of creativity in problem solving in which students are able to grow various ideas, enrich ideas, add or detail the details of an idea and determine the truth to solve the problems. From the analysis of questionnaire data showed an interest in learning to use the PBL modela in Mind map integration, students agreed that if the model of PBL in Mind map integration may be easier to learn about the concept of Environmental Pollution. In addition, students also agreed that if the PBL models in Mind map integration effect on creativity in problems solving. The results showed that there was a significant influence between learning using PBL models in Mind map integration those not using the learning models to creativity in problems solving in the concept of environmental pollution of graders X.

This study aims to reveal the effect of using guided inquiry based experiment worksheet on reaction rate topic on students� learning outcome. This research is a quasi-experimental research, using randomized Posttest Only Control Group Design. The research sample consisted of two classes, namely the experiment class and control class obtained through cluster sampling technique. The population were students of class XI MIA SMAN 4 Padang as much as 6 classes, the academic year 2015/2016. Sample were class XI MIA 1 (experimental group) and class XI MIA 3 (control group). Learning outcome ware collected by tests at the end of the study. Data analysis showed that the experiments class learning with guided inquiry based experiment worksheet got learning outcome with average value of 86.27. Meanwhile learning outcomes of student in control class who learned without guided inquiry based experiment worksheet was 74.40. Both of Normality and Homogenous�s results showed that the distribution of the two experimental classes were normal and homogeneous. After the t-test on the real level of 0.05 was found that tcount is greater than ttable. It�s means that research hypothesis (H1) is accepted, so that it can be concluded that the results of student learning using student worksheet guided inquiry-based reaction rate is significantly higher than the student worksheet without a reaction rate-based guided inquiry.

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh pembelajaran generatif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi  matematis siswa berdasarkan kemampuan awal. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuasi eksperimen. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa SMAN 6 Pandeglang,  kelas XI yang berjumlah 9 kelas. Dengan teknik purposive sampling diperoleh kelas XI IPA 4 sebagai kelas kontrol dan kelas XI IPA 5 sebagai kelas eksperimen. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalahThe nonequivalentpretest-postest control group design. Selama penelitian berlangsung kelompok eksperimen diberi perlakuan model pembelajaran generatif sedangkan kelas kontrol menggunakan model pembelajaran ekspositori. Analisis data dilakukan terhadap rataan gain ternormalisasi antara dua kelompok sampel. Hasil penelitian ini adalah (1) Peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa  yang  diberi  perlakuan model pembelajaran generatif  lebih tinggi  daripada siswa  yang mendapat model pembelajaran ekspositori; (2) Terdapat interaksi antara model pembelajaran dan kemampuan awal matematis (KAM) terhadap peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa; (3) Terdapat peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis pada siswa dengan KAM tinggi; (4) Tidak terdapat peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis pada siswa dengan KAM sedang dan rendah. Kata kunci: kemampuan komunikasi matematis, pembelajaran generatif, kemampuan awal matematika   Abstract This study aims to look at the effect of generative learning to improve students' mathematical communication skills based on early mathematic abilities. This type of research is quasi-experimental research. The population in this study were students of SMAN 6 Pandeglang, class XI which numbered 9 classes. The purposive sampling technique was obtained in class XI IPA 4 as the control class and class XI IPA 5 as the experimental class. The research design used was The Nonequivalent Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. During the research, the experimental group was treated with generative learning models while the control class used the expository learning model. Data analysis was performed on normalized gain average between two sample groups. The results of this study are (1) Increased mathematical communication skills of students who are treated with a generative learning model higher than students who get an expository learning model; (2) There is an interaction between the learning model and early mathematic abilities (EMA) on improving students' mathematical communication skills; (3) There is an increase in mathematical communication skills in students with high EMA; (4) There is no increase in mathematical communication skills in students with moderate and low EMA. This study aims to examine the effect of problem-based learning models on the achievement of student learning outcomes in History subjects. This research was conducted at Pusaka 1 Jakarta Senior High School. The method used in this research is quantitative quasi-experimental with a nonequivalent control group design model. The population in this study were all students of class XI IPS as many as four classes at SMAS Pusaka 1 Jakarta. The research sample was determined by purposive sampling technique to determine one class as an experimental class using a problem-based learning model and another class as a control class using conventional learning models. The results of hypothesis testing using the t test, obtained tcount = 9.25,> from ttable = 1.99. Thus, Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, so it can be concluded that there is a significant influence between problem-based learning models in online learning settings on cognitive learning outcomes of class XI IPS at SMAS Pusaka 1 Jakarta on History Subjects.

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran berbasis masalah dengan bantuan video kartun terhadap hasil belajar fisika siswa. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi experimental. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI IPA SMAN 1 Sikur tahun ajaran 2014/2015 dengan jumlah 113 siswa. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan melalui teknik purposive sampling dengan siswa kelas XI IPA 2 sebanyak 37 siswa sebagai kelas eksperimen dan siswa kelas XI IPA 1 sebanyak 36 siswa sebagai kelas kontrol. Desain yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah nonequivalent control group design. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes tertulis dalam bentuk pilihan ganda yang sebelumnya dilakukan uji validitas, reliabilitas, analisis tingkat kesukaran, dan analisis daya beda soal. Data hasil tes akhir dianalisis menggunakan uji-t dua pihak dengan rumus pooled varians dan diperoleh thitung sebesar (5,318) dengan ttabel sebesar (1,996) pada taraf signifikansi 5%. Nilai thitung lebih besar dari ttabel maka H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran berbasis masalah berbantuan video kartun berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar fisika siswa kelas XI SMAN 1 Sikur. Kata kunci : Model pembelajaran berbasis masalah, video kartun, hasil belajar.Abstract: This research aims to determine the effect of problem-based learning model assisted cartoon video of the physics student learning outcomes. This type of research is a quasi-experimental. The study population was all students (113 students) of class XI IPA SMAN 1 Sikur academic year 2014/2015. Sampling was done through purposive sampling technique with class XI IPA 2 as experimental class (37 students) and class XI IPA 1 as the control class ( 36 students). The nonequivalent control group was used as the experimental design. The instruments used in the form of a written test in the form of multiple choices previously tested the validity, reliability, analysis of the level of difficulty, and analysis about the different power. The final test result data were analyzed using t-test two parties with pooled variance formula and obtained tcount of (5.318) with ttable of (1.996) at the 5% significance level. The value of tcount greater than ttable then H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. This suggests that the problem-based learning model assisted cartoon video has effect on the student class XI of SMAN 1 Sikur physics learning outcomes.Keywords: Problem-based learning model, video cartoon, learning outcomes

The purpose of this study was to analyze the mathematical problem-solving ability and characters of students who were taught using problem-based learning and ordinary learning based on Islamic perspectives. The instrument used in this study was a test of problem-solving ability and a students’ character questionnaire. This research was a quasi-experimental research with pre-test and post-test control group design. The sample of this research was 84 students from Private Islamic School in Medan, North Sumatera, by using a purposive sampling technique. The data in this research was declared homogenous and normal after being tested using the Levene’s Test and Kolmogorov-Smirnov Test. The hypothesis analyzes used was the Two Way-ANOVA test assisted by SPSS 25. The result showed that there was an improvement in mathematical problem-solving ability and students' characters through problem-based learning based on Islamic perspectives. However, there was no interaction between students' gender and problem-solving ability and character improvement based on Islamic perspectives. The gender factor in problem-based learning was not related to students’ cognitive and affective aspects. Each student with any gender had difference characters, especially related to Islamic perspectives. This research-proven that problem-based learning model had an important role in teaching and learning, and it can be used to improve students' mathematical and character problem-solving ability.

This study began with many students having low concept comprehension skills. This can be seen from the learning process that there are still many students who are less active, and there are still many students who still get grades below the KKM. the purpose of this study was to determine the ability to understand students 'mathematical concepts using the Think Talk Write learning model better than students' ability to understand mathematical concepts using conventional learning models in class VIII MTs Al-Ihsan. The type of this research is experimental, the design is Quasi Experimental, with Randomized Subjects Posstest Only Control Group Design. The sampling technique in this study is cluster random sampling, where class VIII.3 was chosen as the experimental class and class VIII.5 as the control class. Data collection techniques through concept understanding tests, then data analysis techniques used are inferential statistical analysis using the "t" test (Independent Sample t Test). Based on the results of research testing the hypothesis of this study obtained t count = 2.061 t table = -1.999. This means that the ability to understand mathematical concepts of students using Think Talk Write learning models is better than the ability to understand mathematical concepts of students using conventional learning models in class VIII MTs Al-Ihsan

<p class="Els-keywords">The learning model is one of the keys to successful learning. The success of learning can be seen from the learning outcomes obtained by students, including the concept understanding ability. The concept understanding ability is the ability to express ideas in providing a picture, example, an idea or understanding, as well as a broader and creative explanation. This study aims to determine that the scramble learning model produces better conceptual understanding abilities than the direct learning model. This research design is a quasi experimental design, with the form of the nonequivalent posttest only control group design. The population in this study were all students of class VII SMP Muhammadiyah Bligo in the academic year 2019/2020. With cluster random sampling technique, selected 2 sample classes. The data collection method used the test. The data analysis method used proportion different test. Based on the calculation of the proportion difference test, the results obtained that z value of zcount = 2.016 and z0.05 = 1.64, so that zcount&gt; z0.05 then H<sub>0</sub> is rejected. This means that the scramble learning model results in student completeness in concept understanding abilities that is better than the direct learning model.</p>
