This study is entitled: "Implementation of the School Accreditation Policy in the Public High School (SMU) I Toho, Toho District, Mempawah Regency". Using qualitative analysis, the results of this study indicate that the  mplementation of the school accreditation system policy implemented by the West Kalimantan Province School Accreditation Board (BAS) towards the Toho I State High School since 2005 has been going well, and has had a positive impact on the average increase passing grade results of the Final School Examination (UAS) obtained by students majoring in Social Sciences and Natural Sciences at Toho I State High School in 2017 to 2018 when compared with the average value of UAS results obtained by Toho I State High School students in 2014, despite the increase in grades the average UAS results obtained by the students were still unsatisfactory for students' parents and the school. The results also showed that the performance of the school principal as the bureaucratic apparatus of the Toho State High School I in providing administrative services to the school community was seen from the aspect of responsiveness which could be said to be good, because school residents felt there was a communication channel provided by the Toho District Education Office to convey their aspirations. In addition, the ability of the bureaucratic apparatus at the Toho District Education Office to recognize what the school community wants through direct interaction with them, causes the demands and desires of the school community to be poured by the Toho subdistrict Education Office in the form of a work program which then get a positive response from the principal of Toho I State High School to implement it.

This research aimed to increase understanding about drug abuse through classical guidance in class XI High School students in Sewon Bantul 1 during the 2018/2019 academic year. A guidance and counseling action research approach was employed with two cycles. This consisted of three meetings for each cycle, and media such as pamphlets and videos were used. Classical guidance was performed following operational guidelines on guidance and counseling. 21 participants were involved in this study and they were recruited by purposive sampling. The validity of the test instrument was analysed using the Product Moment formula and the Cronbach Alpha formula was used to assess its reliability. The data were analysed using a t-test to compare participants’ understanding before and after treatment. The results showed that before classical guidance, the average value of understanding about drug abuse was 10.190% and this value increased to 16.762% after the second cycle of action, which represented an average increase of 6.572 points. Taiwan began to implement a new high school syllabus nationwide, in 2019. The Ministry of Education has also established a high school student Academic Portfolio System (APS) to collect the learning process of high school students for future university admissions references. However, during this period, high school students and their parents had many opinions on the implementation of the new system. There were even groups of students protesting. The main purpose of this research is to explore the factors that affect the system usage intentions of high school students. Based on the theory of reasoned action (TRA) and the technology acceptance model (TAM), this research established a research model. The research variables include system interface design, usefulness, ease of use, attitude, subjective norms, and usage intentions. A total of 712 questionnaires were collected from high school students in northern Taiwan. Data analysis is carried out in three stages: descriptive analysis, measurement model verification, and structural equation modeling. The results of the study found that system interface design has a significant impact on the perceived ease of use. Factors such as ease of use, usefulness, attitude, and subjective norms also have a significant positive impact on usage intention; ease of use and usefulness positively affect attitudes toward using. Finally, according to the results, some practical implications were proposed for implementation references from the perspectives of education authority, high schools, teachers, and students.

Abstract Nearly 1,000 officer-involved killings occur each year in the United States. This article documents the large, racially disparate effects of these events on the educational and psychological well-being of Los Angeles public high school students. Exploiting hyperlocal variation in how close students live to a killing, I find that exposure to police violence leads to persistent decreases in GPA, increased incidence of emotional disturbance, and lower rates of high school completion and college enrollment. These effects are driven entirely by black and Hispanic students in response to police killings of other minorities and are largest for incidents involving unarmed individuals.
