Some of challenging features faced by the Arabic languagelearners are lack of linguistic vocabulary, psychologicalmotivation, the scarcity of cognitive and social materials,and the difficulty of practicing second or foreign languagesamong learners. Therefore, it is necessary to establish asearch for elements and sources that help the leaners to facethose difficulties. The researchers believe that the dailyremembrance (dzikr) of the Qur’anic verses, the prophetictraditions, and the invocations (du’a) that Muslims dealwith in their daily lives can be among the specific sourcesof Arabic language practice among non-Arab learners.Therefore, the researchers by using analytical andexperimental approach chose some Arabic words orvocabulary from the popular invocations used by Muslimsin their daily recitations and then presented it in the Arabiclanguage classes. The researchers conducted threeexperiments on three groups of Malaysian junior studentsin Arabic subject in the second and third stages. The studyfound there are many sources that prevent the practice ofthe Arabic language. These barriers related to severalfactors such as the lack of language adaptation,psychological and behavioral conditions. However, thestudy concluded that good selection of vocabulary, orlanguage phrases, especially from daily Islamic terms,drives Malaysian learners to practice Arabic.

The development of sewage systems leads to an increase in people’s living standards and an improvement in the comfort of their daily lives. In 2021, the use of septic tanks is still a big issue; many of them are not properly sealed and can be harmful to the environment because of leakage. A good alternative for them is an individual sewage treatment plant. There are many types of such investment. This paper focuses on the selection between three types of sewage treatment plants (a biological wastewater treatment plant with activated sludge and a constructed wasteland) using MCDA–AHP and TOPSIS methods.

The study aimed to identify the most prominent problems faced by teachers of Arabic language, and ways to address them. The researcher used the descriptive descriptive method. The study tool consisted of a questionnaire distributed to a sample of (55) all male students in the middle school for boys in Riyadh in the second semester of 1433-1434H. The teaching of the students is: The weakness of the student in the literacy skills, the obligations of the family learner do not help him to study. The most important problems related to the curricula are: the lack of curricula dedicated to the large student, the lack of participation in the selection of curricula, the lack of development and change constantly, not appropriate time to complete. The most important problems related to the environment are: There is no suitable library for adults, there is no suitable educational means, no furniture suitable for the age of the students, no educational resource center and a building of its own. There were no statistically significant differences at (α0.05) between the responses of the study members according to the following variables: qualification, experience. In the light of the results, the researcher made a number of recommendations: To promote the learner's knowledge of reading and writing skills, to take care of homework assignments, to develop special curricula for the great student and to involve the teacher in her selection; to create an appropriate library for adults;

Part of living at a distance has meant relying on a stream. Today alone, so much information has streamed into my home from so many sources on so many devices I would have trouble accounting for all of it. While my daughter streamed her class session upstairs, a selection of music I would be likely to enjoy streamed on my phone, and my son streamed a movie from one of the services to which I hastily (and regrettably) subscribed when the pandemic began. We streamed a bedtime story read remotely by Dolly Parton, a Shakespearian sonnet read by Patrick Stewart, and a silent film playing on the wall of a New York City apartment. Unlike the tsunami of my emotional state for the past few months, these streams have been rather comforting. But how does the metaphor of the stream hold up to the discourses and dangers of ventriloquism we have been addressing throughout this collection?...

Query expansion is the process of adding additional relevant terms to the original queries to improve the performance of information retrieval systems. However, previous studies showed that automatic query expansion using WordNet do not lead to an improvement in the performance. One of the main challenges of query expansion is the selection of appropriate terms. In this paper, the authors review this problem using Arabic WordNet and Association Rules within the context of Arabic Language. The results obtained confirmed that with an appropriate selection method, the authors are able to exploit Arabic WordNet to improve the retrieval performance. Their empirical results on a sub-corpus from the Xinhua collection showed that their automatic selection method has achieved a significant performance improvement in terms of MAP and recall and a better precision with the first top retrieved documents.

AbstractThe resistance to phylloxera is one of the most important properties of grapevine rootstock. The breeding and selection of rootstock varieties represents a biological method of fight against phylloxera. In this study altogether 59 rootstock hybrids originating from nine different populations were evaluated. Pedigrees of all populations involved Vitis cinerea Arnold introduced through the hybrid Bruci/(Vitis berlandieri Planch. × Vitis rupestris Scheele) × Vitis cinerea Arnold/ and the variety Börner. Pot experiments were performed in a glasshouse while those with excised root pieces in root bioassay took place in a laboratory. This combination showed to be a very good selection tool for rootstock breeding. In seven rootstock hybrids, it was found that the resistance to phylloxera gallicoles and radicicoles was very high. The highest number of resistant hybrids was found in Binova × Börner. The variety Börner showed to be the best gene source of phylloxera resistance and even in case of a simple crossing produced sufficient number of resistant progeny.

Considering the recognition performance obtained by an implanted patient, the authors have developed models to explain the decrease in performance when the number of open channels on the prosthesis is increased. The French cochlear implant Chorimac was used in this experiment. Two models have been developed. The first is monodimensional and the second is multidimensional. They respectively represent an increase in information and its superposition. Results suggest that for the patient, the superposition factor prevails and is detrimental to recognition. Its elimination should be a major goal. A good selection of electrodes in a relatively small number seems to be the best policy. This is already done in some cochlear implants. Some other parameters in the signal that seem worth being analyzed are introduced.

Learning is basically an attempt to change or improve one's potential, prospective students (raw input) into a new individual (raw output) with a certain quality. Learning has three important elements, namely input, process and output. These three elements are closely interconnected. Indicators of learning success vary from one school to another school. By using qualitative method, this article aims to describe the success of Arabic language learning through selection process of new admissions to get quality student input because the quality of student input is one of the success factors of learning at school. Therefore, it is necessary for schools to held a selection of new admissions to get quality student input, so that the learning success will be easier to achieve.

IN THE MOOD FOR FILMS: BANGKOK INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL 2001 The prospect of watching a good selection of indie films from more than 20 countries and the best of Thai shorts in competition should be attractive enough for most film buffs but the 4th Bangkok Film Festival (15th-25th November 2001) also promised the presence of the legendary director Wong Kar-wai and his star Leung Chiu-wai at the Gala opening film, In the Mood for Love (HK, 2000) in what is now one of Thailand's most important cultural events. Both honoured guests, however, failed to turn up to the disappointment of the eagerly-awaiting media and the many admirers at the grand opening. With hindsight, perhaps some other equally worthy film such as Kurosawa Kiyoshi's Pulse (Kairo, Japan, 2001) or Tsai Ming-liang's latest masterpiece, What Time Is It There? (Taiwan-France, 2001) should have taken pride of place instead, knowing the unpredictability...
