The aims of this research was developing an assessment instrument based on student center on physics learning. The development of this assessment used 4D models and has been implemented in students of Xth grade at Sejahtera Senior High School using One Shot Case Study design. The research revealed that the development of assessment instrument has validity with category deserves to use; the questions in the cognitive test has high reliability; the difficult of the questions get in proportion; and the sensitivity of the questions include sensitive. The correlation of assessment between student and teacher in cognitive test, skills of science process test, honesty and cooperation characters were in high corelation. Students also gived positive responses to this instrument. Based on those findings, it could be concluded that the assessment instrument based on student center deserves to use in physics learning.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan instrumen asesmen berpusat pada siswa dalam pembelajaran fisika. Pengembangan asesmen menggunakan model pengembangan 4D dan diujicobakan pada siswa kelas X di SMA Sejahtera Surabaya. Desain penelitian menggunakan One Shot Case Study. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh beberapa temuan, yaitu: instrumen asesmen yang dikembangkan memiliki rata-rata skor validitas berketegori layak digunakan; soal yang digunakan pada tes kognitif memiliki derajat reliabilitas yang tinggi; tingkat kesukaran soal cukup proporsional; serta sensitivitas butir soal yang tergolong sensitif. Kesesuaian penilaian siswa dengan guru pada tes kognitif, tes keterampilan proses sains, serta pada penilaian karakter kejujuran dan kerjasama termasuk kategori sangat tinggi. Respon yang diberikan siswa pada instrumen ini sangat positif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa instrumen asesmen yang berpusat pada siswa dalam pembelajaran fisika layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran.

The present study intends to investigate the use of substitution in students’ expository texts. It covers the types of substitution used by the students in their expository texts and the contribution of substitution to the texts’ cohesion. This study uses qualitative research through case study design. The participants in this study are nine students of twelfth grade in a public senior high school in Kuningan. The data in the present study are the documents of students’ expository texts. The data are analyzed by using the frameworks of cohesive devices proposed by Halliday and Hasan (1976). The findings indicate that there is only one substitution found in this study namely nominal substitution. The present study also delineates that the use of substitution contributes to the process of avoiding repetition and text redundancy. Furthermore, it can be concluded that the use and the contribution of substitution in students’ expository texts are still considered low. Thus, the encouragement is very necessary for the students to use appropriate substitution to make their texts more cohesive.

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tentang Manajemen Pembelajaran Prakarya dan Kewirausahaan di SMA Negeri 2 Palangka Raya, pada aspek: a) perencanaan pembelajaran prakarya dan kewirausahaan, b) pelaksanaan pembelajaran prakarya dan kewirausahaan, serta c) penilaian pembelajaran prakarya dan kewirausahaan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan ialah pendekatan kualitatif dengan rancangan studi kasus. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah kepala sekolah, wakasek kurikulum, guru mata pelajaran prakarya dan kewirausahaan serta tiga orang peserta didik yang mengikuti pembelajaran prakarya dan kewirausahaan. Hasil temuan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa manajemen pembelajaran prakarya dan kewirausahaan yang ada di SMA Negeri 2 Palangka Raya sudah terlaksana dengan baik yang dibuktikan dengan adanya perencanaan pembelajaran yang sistematis serta sesuai dengan ketentuan yang berlaku; pelaksanaan pembelajaran telah dilakukan dengan metode-metode pembelajaran yang variatif dimana lebih menekankan pada proses menemukan serta memecahkan masalah yang artinya peserta didik dituntut untuk lebih kreatif dan mampu berinovasi dalam menghasilkan jenis-jenis prakarya dan keterampilan; serta penilaian pembelajaran yang menggunakan penilaian otentik sesuai standar kompetensi lulusan, sikap, pengetahuan dan keterampilan. Abstract: This study aims to describe the Management of Craft and Entrepreneurship Learning at Public Senior High School 2 Palangka Raya, in the following aspects: a) planning for craft and entrepreneurship learning, b) implementing hand-crafted learning and entrepreneurship, and c) assessment of craft and entrepreneurship learning. The research method used is a qualitative approach with a case study design. Sources of data in this study were the principal, curriculum vice principal, craft and entrepreneurship subject teachers as well as three students who took craft and entrepreneurship learning. The results of this study indicate that the management of craft learning and entrepreneurship in Public Senior High School 2 Palangka Raya has been carried out well, as evidenced by the existence of systematic learning planning and in accordance with applicable regulations; the implementation of learning has been carried out with varied learning methods which emphasize the process of finding and solving problems, which means that students are required to be more creative and able to innovate in producing types of crafts and skills; and learning assessment using authentic assessment according to the competency standards of graduates, attitudes, knowledge and skill. There is a need to improve concussion education and prevention efforts for youth athletes and those responsible for their care. The purpose of this study was to understand Canadian high school coaches’ insights and perceptions of concussions. Using a case study design, eight high school coaches were interviewed and the data were analysed using a hierarchical content analysis. Findings indicated that participants primarily acquired information about concussions through their own experiences as athletes and parents, and from reports in the sports media. The coaches’ felt their role with concussions was to teach athletes safety techniques during practices and competitions and to encourage them to accurately report their concussion symptoms. In addition, participants forwarded a number of recommendations to improve the dissemination of information to coaches. Results from this study will add to a limited body of concussion research with youth sport coaches. Participants’ insights provide researchers and clinicians with information about coaches’ perceived role with sport-related concussions.

Using first language in a second language classroom can be beneficial. This study aims at investigating students’ perception about the use of L1 in an EFL classroom setting. The study is framed under case study design in which interview was used as the data collection way. The participants of the study are 10 students from private junior high school in Tajikistan. The results show that the perception of the students is positive. The study suggests that teachers can try different ways of bilingual use in their classrooms based on the purposes the teachers want to achieve.

The aim of this study is to look at students' attitudes towards Geometry learning through the PACE model assisted by GeoGebra in one of junior high school in Cimahi City. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative with a one-shoot case study design. After students taught during Geometry learning, namely by using the PACE model assisted by GeoGebra, at the end of the learning students are given a Likert model attitude scale questionnaire containing 21 statements with four choices. The results showed that students' attitudes towards the five indicators measured all showed positive attitudes. The attitude shown by the students' answers to the proposed statements shows the positive attitude of students towards interest, seriousness, and pleasure during Geometry learning through the GeoGebra-assisted PACE model.

This article aims to explain: (1) the factors that caused students ofthe PBA FTK UIN Mataram departemen difficulties in writing Arabic theses,(2) management of majors in improving the ability to write Arabic-languagethesis students of PBA FTK UIN Mataram departemen. The approach usedin this study was a qualitative approach with a case study design. The datasources in this study were students majoring in PBA departemen, PBA alumni,and permanent lecturers majoring in PBA. Data collection techniques usedwere interviews, documentation studies and observations while data analysiswas carried out using descriptive-qualitative analysis techniques. The resultsof this study are: (1) The causes of students majoring in PBA FTK UINMataram departemen difficulties in writing Arabic theses are (a) input,many PBA students come from high school or public school with minimalbasic language. (b) the willingness to speak Arabic in students is still low. (c)department policies are still not firm, namely still giving students the freedomto write Indonesian theses. (d) department facilities and infrastructureare still minimal, namely Arabic books or references are still lacking. (2)Management of majors in improving the ability to write Arabic theses forstudents majoring in PBA FTK UIN mataram namely (a) Growing interestand providing awareness to students. (b) Making policies requires studentsto write Arabic language theses and strive for students to communicate inArabic, at least when in PBA. (c) Making teaching materials for all subjects inPBA majors. (d) Implementing the IQF curriculum. (e) Carry out produckbasedpracticum activities. (f ) Making guidelines for Arabic thesis writing

The aim of this research was to produce a valid Powtoon-based physics learning video on straight motion material for class X senior high school. The product developed is in the form of a physics learning video based on Powtoon on straight motion material for class x senior high school. The research method uses the ADDIE development model with five stages, namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The instrument used is a validation sheet that is given to experts in providing an assessment of the validity of the media. The assessment instrument includes four aspects of the assessment, namely the design aspect, the pedagogic aspect, the content aspect, and the technical aspect. The results of the validation of these four aspects obtained an average score of 4.34. Video meeting 1 got the final score with a value of 4.31. Video meeting 2 got the final score with a value of 4.36. Video meeting 3 got the final score with a value of 4.37. Powtoon-based physics learning media has been successfully designed for three meetings which include straight motion learning material in class X SMA. This learning media has been successfully created using the powtoon application. This learning media has been validated by experts. All experts have stated that every element of the assessment of this learning media is valid, so it is suitable to be used as a medium for learning physics in straight motion material.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mengetahui karakteristik instrumen penilaian tes kreativitas pada pembelajaraan fisika dengan pendekatan inkuiri menurut kriteria instrumen yang baik, serta (2) mengetahui kemampuan tes dalam mengukur berpikir kreatif peserta didik pada proses pembelajaran dengan pendekatan inkuiri. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dan pengembangan dengan model pengembangan prosedural, yang mengikuti beberapa tahapan sehingga menghasilkan instrumen penilaian untuk peserta didik SMA. Tahapan tersebut antara lain: (1) pengumpulan informasi, (2) perancangan, (3) mengembangkan produk awal, (4) uji terbatas, (5) revisi hasil uji terbatas, (6) uji coba luas, (7)  revisi hasil uji coba luas. Instrumen evaluasi divalidasi oleh ahli materi dan ahli evaluasi kemudian dinilai oleh guru fisika, ahli materi dan ahli evaluasi. Subjek uji coba penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas XI MIA SMA Negeri 1 Sewon. Hasil penelitian dan pengembangan ini yaitu: (1) Produk berupa tes kreativitas dengan pendekatan inkuiri pada materi teori kinetik gas berbentuk uraian bebas yang dikembangkan sudah layak sesuai dengan validitas, reliabilitas, dan tingkat kesukaran. Penilaian instrumen tes kreativitas dari aspek isi, konstruk, dan teknis berada dalam kategori sangat baik, serta (2) Proses pembelajaran dengan pendekatan inkuiri memberikan pengaruh terhadap kreativitas peserta didik yang diinterpretasikan dari hasil analisis effect size sebesar 0,202 dengan kategori efek sedang. Uji coba penggunaan instrumen tes ini menunjukan peningkatan kreativitas peserta didik dengan menggunakan pendekatan inkuiri.Kata Kunci: instrumen penilaian, tes kreativitas, uraian bebas, pendekatan inkuiri Developing a Creativity Test on Physics Learning with Inquiry Approach on the Material of Gas Kinetics Theory AbstractThis study aims to: (1) get an assessment of creativity with an inquiry approach in the physics learning and, (2) investigate the capability of test for measure student`s creative thinking in the physics learning with an inquiry approach. This study was research and development with a procedural model, which applied some steps for getting an assessment that is used for Senior High School students. The steps of study consisted of: (1) research and collecting information, (2) planning, (3) developing preliminary form of product, (4) preliminary field testing, (5) product revision, (6) main field testing, and (7) product revision. The assessment that was developed had been validated by experts of theory and evaluation, and then evaluated by a physics teacher, experts of theory and evaluation. The try out subjects of this reseacrh were the students of class XI MIA Sewon Senior High School. The data were collected by using validation sheets, observation sheets, and creativity tests. The techniques of data analysis used descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The result of the research and development is as follows: (1) Creativity tests with an inquiry approach in gas kinetic theory topic in the form of an essay has been appropriate consisting of validity, reliability, and difficulty levels. The evaluation of creativity consisted of matter, construct and techniques aspect which are in the best category. (2) The learning process with an inquiry approach had an effect on student`s creativity which is interpreted by the value of effect size 0.202 which are in medium efffect. The main testing instruments points out the gain of student`s creativity who learned with an inquiry approach is higher.Keywords: assessment instrument, creativity tests, essay, inquiry approach
