Integration of teaching subject of plant structure into plant function using nested model aimed to improve student thinking skills when they are receiving information with high interconnection causing cognitive load. To facilitate the thinking skills especially on either inductive or deductive are  required a learning model that can decrease cognitive load  when the students receiving information caused by the teaching method  (extranous load). This research using pre-experimental method with One Group Pre test – Post Test design. Participants of this study were 22 students have took Plant Anatomy Course in previous semester. There are two main data collected in this study, qualitative and quantitative data. Qualitative data were gathered using documents collected from student tasks. Quantitative data were collected using paper and pencil test containing 30 items test measuring students’ reasoning skills about plant physiology comprehensively. The result shows that after learning using nested type student  thinking  skills  were  increased  especially in inductive  reasoning.  Most  students  had  thinking  skill  and analysis information skill categorized by good criteria. The reasoning skills of 68 % students had categorized by good criteria and only 32% of students had reasoning skills belong to sufficient criteria.  The experiment design skills of 65% students were be affiliated with good criteria. We found that no more than 35% students should be guided during they do the tasts covering experimental design skills.Integrasi Struktur pada Fungsi Tumbuhan  menggunakan model  nested  bertujuan untuk  meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir  mahasiswa. Model  ini  diperlukan  pada  saat  mahasiswa  menerima informasi dengan interkoneksi tinggi,  yang  dapat menimbulkan    beban  kognitif. Untuk  memfasilitasi keterampilan berpikir  terutama penalaran baik  induktif maupun  deduktif diperlukan  adanya  model  pembelajaran  yang  dapat  menurunkan  beban  kognitif  pada  saat  mahasiswa  menerima  informasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pre-eksperimen dengan desain One Group Pre test – Post Test. Subjek dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari 22 mahasiswa yang telah mengikuti mata kuliah Anatomi Tumbuhan. Pengumpulan data dilakukan secara kualitatif dan  kuantitatif. Data kualitatif dikumpulkan dari tugas mahasiswa pada saat melakukan  analisis informasi dan angket untuk mengetahui beban kognitif  mahasiswa pada saat menerima informasi ketika implementasi pembelajaran. Data kuantitatif dikumpulkan dari hasil tes penalaran yang terdiri dari 30 soal pilihan berganda beralasan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan adanya peningkatan yang signifikan pada keterampilan berpikir terutama penalaran induktif  setelah diterapkan pembelajaran model nested. Sebagian besar mahasiswa memiliki keterampilan berpikir dan menganalisis informasi dengan kategori baik. Kemampuan penalaran  mahasiswa  sebesar  68  %  termasuk  dalam  kriteria  baik  dan  32%  termasuk   dalam   kriteria   cukup. Kemampuan merancang  eksperimen  mahasiswa sebesar 65% termasuk dalam kriteria baik. Hanya 35% mahasiswa yang masih memerlukan bimbingan dalam mengerjakan tugas-tugas yang terkait dengan keterampilan merancang penelitian.

பேராக் மாநிலத்தில் தைப்பிங் மாவட்டத்தில் அமைந்துள்ள ஓர் இடைநிலைப்பள்ளியில் திருக்குறள் கற்றலின் வழி படிவம் 2 மாணவர்களின் உயர்நிலைச் சிந்தனைத் திறனை மேம்படுத்தும் முயற்சியில் ஆய்வு மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்டது. தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்பட்ட 10 மாணவர்கள் இந்த ஆய்வில் உட்படுத்தப்பட்டனர். திருக்குறளில் மாணவர்களின் ஆளுமையைக் கண்டறிய அந்த இடைநிலைப்பள்ளியின் தமிழாசிரியரிடம் நேர்காணல் நடத்தப்பட்டது. மாணவர்களின் உயர்நிலைச் சிந்தனைத் திறனை மேம்படுத்த படிவம் 1 மற்றும் படிவம் 2-இல் வரையறுக்கப்பட்ட ஆறு திருக்குறள்கள் தேர்தெடுக்கப்பட்டன. தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்பட்ட திருக்குறள்கள் யாவும் சீரமைக்கப்பட்ட புளூமின் அறிவுசார் முறைப்பாட்டியலின் துணைக்கொண்டு பலதரப்பட கேள்விகள் தயாரிக்கப்பட்டது. ஆறு வாரத் திருக்குறள் வகுப்பிற்குப் பின் இக்கேள்விகள் யாவும் மாணவர்களுக்கு வழங்கப்பட்டன. கேள்விக்கான பதில்களிலிருந்து மாணவர்களின் உயர்நிலைச் சிந்தனைத் திறனில் ஏற்பட்ட மாற்றங்கள் கண்டறியப்பட்டது. ஆய்வின் முடிவாக, முறையான திருக்குறள் கற்றலின் வழி மாணவர்களின் உயர்நிலைச் சிந்தனைத் திறனை மேம்படுத்த முடியும் என்பது உறுதிச் செய்யப்பட்டது. (This study has been conducted with the purpose of improving the level of HOTS (Higher order thinking skills) of Form 2 students through learning Thirukkural. For this study, the Thirukkural, a well-known literary work of Tamil Language was taken. Thus, this research was carried out in a secondary school which is located at Taiping, Perak. The research was carried out under the design of action research. The sample of this study consisted of ten Form 2 students. Besides that, a teacher also interviewed in order to know the students' personality in learning Thirukkural. In this research, the learning process of Thirukkural approach was implemented for 6 weeks. There are 6 couplets of Thirukkural selected according to the syllabus of Form 1 and Form 2. This six couplets of Thirukkural used to test the level of HOTS. The questions were created based on Thirukkural, according to Revised Bloom's Taxonomy. The data of the study was collected through pre-test, the questions asked in Thirukkural classes and post-test via qualitative and quantitative data collection tools. The findings obtained through qualitative and quantitative data collections showed that the level of HOTS through learning Thirukkural among Form 2 students has improved.)

Every education should experience a new innovation designed to teach special skills, beliefs and concepts to become better. The 2013 curriculum emphasizes performance assessments to determine the achievement of student competencies that include knowledge, skills and attitudes, the focus of educational assessments is the successful learning of learners to achieve the competencies defined in this case teachers can enrich ideas and ideas to help optimize student thinking skills. IPA Learning provides students to develop curiosity, knowledge, improve process skills, and awareness to appreciate the nature of God's creation and preserve the surrounding natural environment as well as the basis for continuing to a higher level of education.The main objective of Problem Based Learning (PBL) is the ability to think critical and problem solving skills while developing learners ' ability to actively build their own knowledge. The PBL is also intended to develop the independence of learning and the social skills of learners that are formed when they work to identify relevant information, strategies, and learning resources to resolve problems. The research method used is research and Development to produce a specific product, and to test the effectiveness of the product. Research and Development aims to improve the quality of education and develop and validate the outcomes of education. The study obtained pre-test and post-test value data which will be carried out by the process of data processing using SPSS 2.4 i.e. the T test in pairs (Paired-Samples T Test) wasobtained that the average value of Pre-Test 68.4 and the average Post-Test value of 87.8. Number of 15 students. Deviation Freedom 14 value sig. 2 tailled 0.000 with a degree of confidence 95%. Where the lowest grade pre-test students are 60 and the highest 75 while the lowest post-test students are 85 andthe highest 93. Based on the results it shows that the grades of students increased by 19.4% or 291 points. It can be said that the PBL model SCIENCE subject reference book developed can improve student learning outcomes.

The flipped teaching method has become increasingly mature and critical. Previous flow experience studies have concentrated on game-based learning, and cognitive load studies have concentrated on different types of teaching materials (e.g., video). Due to the characteristic differences between problem-based learning and the Conceive, Design, Implement, Operate (CDIO) engineering design, the authors were interested in applying the CDIO engineering design to the flipped programming course. This study was proposed to measure students’ cognitive load and flow experience by using CDIO engineering design in the flipped programming course, which used a one-group pretest–post-test nonequivalent-groups design method for 16 weeks. This study recruited 40 college students (males = 14, females = 26) who were first-year freshmen attending a university as its subjects. The results indicate that the students showed no significant improvement between cognitive load and gender difference in cognitive load and flow experience, but that they significantly improved some dimensions of flow experience. This study provides implications and evidence related to applying the CDIO engineering design in flipped programming courses.

The researcher investigated the effect of whole brain teaching method toward students vocabulary achievement at SMPN 17 Kec. Kep Masaloka Raya. The design of the research was pre-experimental design. The population of the research were all the seventh grade students of SMPN 17 Kec. Kep. Masalaoka Raya. In taking sample the researcher using purposive sampling then the researcher chose class VII A of SMPN 17 Kec. Kep. Masaloka Raya which are consist of 28 students. The research used three kinds of vocabulary instrument. The instrument were fill the blank, match word, and rearrange word. The vocabularies test consist of 10 items each test. The test complied by the researcher based on the material in English book in the seventh grade, entitled Ring of The bells. In this research, quantitative data was collected and analyzed by using paired sample t test in SPSS 16.0. the result of the analysis show that the probability value (p) was lower than alpha value (α) at the level significant 95% (0.000 ˂ 0.05). This finding result justified that there was significant differences between students vocabulary score on pretest and post-test or there was significant effect of applying whole brain teaching method toward student vocabulary achievement at seventh grade of SMPN 17 Kec. Kep. Masaloka Raya after treatment. The result prove that the hypothesis of the research was accepted H1 but H0 was rejected.

Since it is believed that individuals with higher-order thinking skills are more welcomed in educational and vocational contexts, teaching them has become a desirable goal in education. For that reason, this study aimed at improving the students’ higher-order thinking skills by incorporating debate in inquiry-based teaching. The study used mixed-methods research design utilizing pre-test and post-test to collect quantitative data and observation checklist to collect qualitative data. The quantitative data were analyzed using a rubrics, while the qualitative data were analyzed using a checklist. The study revealed that the students’ higher-order thinking skills at all levels improved after the treatment. The improvement at Analyze level could be seen from the students’ better organization of information, at Evaluate level, the students showed improvement in seeing problems from various perspectives and at Create level, the students improved in communicating solutions better. Other than that, the improvement was also observed in terms of the students’ speaking ability.

Purpose: Improving physicians’ critical thinking abilities could have meaningful impacts on various aspects of routine medical practice, such as choosing treatment plans, making an accurate diagnosis, and reducing medical errors. The present study aimed to measure the effects of a curriculum integrating critical thinking on medical students’ skills at Tehran University of Medical Sciences, Iran.Methods: A 1-group pre-test, post-test quasi-experimental design was used to assess medical students’ critical thinking abilities as they progressed from the first week of medical school to middle of the third year of the undergraduate medical curriculum. Fifty-six participants completed the California Critical Thinking Skills Test twice from 2016 to 2019.Results: Medical students were asked to complete the California Critical Thinking Skills Test the week before their first educational session. The post-test was conducted 6 weeks after the 2 and half-year program. Out of 91 medical students with a mean age of 20±2.8 years who initially participated in the study, 56 completed both the pre- and post-tests. The response rate of this study was 61.5%. The analysis subscale showed the largest change. Significant changes were found in the analysis (P=0.03), evaluation (P=0.04), and inductive reasoning (P<0.0001) subscales, but not in the inference (P=0.28), and deductive reasoning (P=0.42) subscales. There was no significant difference according to gender (P=0.77).Conclusion: The findings of this study show that a critical thinking program had a substantial effect on medical students’ analysis, inductive reasoning, and evaluation skills, but negligible effects on their inference and deductive reasoning scores.

This study attempts to improve students’ writing achievement in recount text through Think-Pair-Share Strategy. This study was conducted by using classroom action research. The subject of the research was class VIII-1 SMPN 1 Pematangsiantar. The number of the students was 32 students, consisted of 5 males and twenty seven females. The research was conducted in two cycles and consisted of six meetings. The instruments for collecting data were writing tests as the quantitative data and diary notes, observation sheet, interview sheet and questionnaire sheet as qualitative data. Based on the writing score, students’ scores kept improving in every test. In analyzing the data, the mean of the students’ score for the first test as a pre-test was 57.84, for the second test as a post test I was 73.56, for the third test as a post test II was 77.56. Based on diary notes, observation sheet and questionnaire sheet, it was found that students were actively involved in writing process. The result of the research showed that Think-Pair-Share Strategy can improve students’ achievement in writing recount text.   Keywords: Think Pair Share, Writing, Recount text, Action research

          Peer teaching is a strategy that allows the students to teach the new content to each other, and they must be accurately guided by instructors.     The researcher proposes that the use of students peer teaching  may promote students' achievement  and ensure the engagement of all the students in the learning process. Therefore, the researcher employs it as a teaching method aiming at investigating its  effect on Iraqi EFL students' achievement in the course of Library and Research Work .      The study hypothesizes that there is no significant difference between the students' achievement who are taught library and research work by students peer teaching  and that of the students taught by the traditional way. The experimental design of the study is Parallel Groups, Random Assignment, posttest. Each group consists of 35 students, chosen randomly from the Third Year Students at the Department of English in the College of Basic Education. Both groups were matched in terms of their age and parents' education. The experiment was fulfilled in the first course for 15 weeks during the academic year 2016-2017.       The same materials were presented to both groups. This included   units from Writing Research Paper by Lester D. . Post-test was constructed and exposed  The t-test for  independent samples was used to analyze the results and it is found out that there is a statistical difference between the two groups in their achievement because the calculated t- value 2.635 is bigger than the tabulated t- value which is 2.000, and also shown the superiority of the experimental group. The results indicate that the experimental group, who was taught Library and Research Work by peer teaching   was better than the control group, who was taught according to the traditional way. So, the null hypothesis is rejected. Finally, some recommendations and suggestions are presented in the light of the study findings. to a jury of experts to verify its validity and it was administered to both groups.

The aim of this research is to examine the effects of creative drama method on students' achievements towards the music lesson . In addition to this, in the research, it was aimed to develop appropriate educational activities prepared with creative drama method for the theoretical subjects of music, to eliminate the unwillingness of students towards these subjects, to facilitate the learning of information about music theory, to make learning fun and permanent, and to provide the student to learn voluntarily. In this study; For the determined purpose, creative drama method was applied in the teaching of theoretical knowledge of the 4th grade musical perception and information learning field in the 2018-2019 Academic Year Music Course Education Program of the Ministry of Education. The study was carried out by experimental method. The study group consists of 80 students, including 40 students in the Samsun Mimarsinan Primary School, an experimental group and 40 students in the control group. While the subjects pertaining to the musical perception and information learning area were taught by the classroom teacher with the traditional (classical) teaching method in the control group, the experimental group was taught by the researcher using the creative drama method. The pre-test and post-test post-test music course success scale was applied to both groups. With the results obtained from the scale, the effect of creative drama method on students' achievements towards the music lesson was investigated. As a result, it was found that creative drama method had a positive effect on students ' achievements, there was no significant difference according to gender, and the effect on students' achievement levels was 'enormous'.
