Abstract. Thе article aims at researching the concept “knowledge” used in phraseological units which is one of the key concepts in Кyrgyz and English world view. The comparative analysis of the concept “knowledge” in Kyrgyz and English linguistic world view reveals differences and similarities in its content. In addition, the research also shows that Kyrgyz phraseological units differ a lot from the English due to several particular features like cultural diversity, language peculiarities and linguistic world view. Various examples related to the concept “knowledge” are used demonstrating the difficulties in translation and the differences in meaning of the concept “knowledge” in phraseological units in Kyrgyz and English world view. Key words: concept, linguistic world view, phraseological units, idioms, phrase, proverbs and sayings, phraseology, equivalents, knowledge, translation.

Este trabajo hace referencia a la oportunidad que puede representar la educación intercultural para la resignificación de las identidades de género, etnia y clase. Se reflexiona a partir de la investigación sobre educación realizada en el municipio de San Andrés Larráinzar o Sakamch’en de los Pobres, Chiapas. A partir de los resultados de investigación se argumenta que en el contexto actual en que se está practicando la educación intercultural bilingüe en Chiapas y en el marco de políticas educativas que no son construcciones propias de los pueblos indígenas significan nada más nuevas imposiciones simuladas con los discursos de respeto a la diversidad cultural.   SUMMARY This paper refers to the opportunity that can represent the intercultural education for re-meaning the gender, class and ethnic identities. The work is a reflection from the investigation made in the municipality of San Andrés Larráinzar or Sakamch’en in Chiapas. From the results of investigation is argued that in the present context that the intercultural bilingual education is practicing in Chiapas and in the context of educational policies are not people’s own constructions, mean nothing more new impositions simulated with the speeches of respect for cultural diversity.

Cultural diversity is a characteristic of plural societies, and the way that each society approaches that diversity determines whether or not the societies evolve or stagnate, whether cultural groups remain segregated or integrate, and whether social inequalities grow or if communities affirm the value of diversity and promote equality. For this reason, it is important to analyze the cultural diversity management system that guides our interventions because the socioeducational methods and practices designed for any given plural context depends on them. Research refers to the assimilationist, multicultural, and intercultural cultural diversity management models, and the conclusion appears to be that the intercultural model is the framework that [best] accounts for an integrated and inclusive society. Interculturalism requires the establishment of policies that champion equity, in order to achieve equality at the legal and social levels, and that promote genuine equality of opportunity. At the same time, it demands pedagogical practices based in civic education. An intercultural education should help us learn to live together and should educate people, to grow their knowledge, understanding, and respect for cultural diversity. Intercultural education is a reflective, socioeducational practice focused on social and cultural transformation through equal rights, equity, and positive interaction between different cultures. Intercultural education is characterized by an acknowledgment of cultural diversity, a positive valuation of egalitarian relations, equal educational opportunities for all, and moving beyond racism and discrimination. Fundamentally, intercultural education can be understood as an educational model that champions cultural diversity and the advantages it offers within an education context, such as the values of human rights and equality, and a rejection of cultural discrimination.

Growing international interdependencies, weakening of internal and external sovereignty of the state and necessity of joint overcoming of problems and global threats reveals the necessity of creating new rules of global order, based not only on nation-states, but also on growing number of international organizations and institutions, regional groupings, communities and local organizations. The globalization of political life fosters rise of number of institutions, organizations and international groupings and development of international law. The cooperation between them should respect the rules of equality, freedom, democracy, partnership, solidarity, respect for cultural diversity and environmental protection.

This research aims at presenting a proposal of linguistic and intercultural education in Portuguese language, based on the comparison among Portuguese, Brazilian and Angolan advertisements. The Portuguese language is characterised by a great linguistic and cultural diversity: through this analysis we would like to develop activities directed at making the students conscious of the linguistic and cultural differences around the Portuguese-speaking world. By focusing on the relationship between advertising, language and culture, we aim at showing the didactic potentialities that a research like this could offer and a concrete proposal of activities that consider the results of this analysis.

Nowadays terminology issues are getting more and more important due to the introduction of informational technologies into all professional areas including records and archives management. But are the terminological systems used in records management, archives and IT well coordinated? There are international organizations on standardization (e.g. ISO and IEC) which are responsible for the compatibility of international terminology through developing international standards. This article presents the results of our research into the main ISO and IEC standards (e.g. ISO 5127-2017, ISO 15489-2016) used in records and archives management and IT in terms of compatibility of standardized international terminology in these spheres. The main method of our research was the comparative analysis of various definitions of the same terms given in international standards created for experts in the above mentioned areas. Understanding the difference between the «data», «document», «record» is very important for choosing the ways of the protection and storage of the actual objects denoted by these terms. The research has shown that it is too early to speak about the compatibility of terminological systems even used in such close areas as records management and archives. The same is actual for IT terminology when it penetrates these spheres. Yet their terminological systems do not seem fully integrated even in ISO and IEC standards elaborated for these professional areas. However, it will be practically impossible to develop these spheres without coordinating their terminological systems. ISO and IEC standards might be real tools for solving this problem but they are still not appropriately used.

India over thousands of years had become a ‘melting pot’ of religious, linguistic and cultural diversity, and thereby created a unique cultural fabric based on the principles of multiculturalism and pluralism.The ancient Indian philosophy was based on the ideals of vasudaivakutumbakam - the whole world is one family and sarvadharmasambhava- all religion leads to the same destination. These philosophical notions have attained legal status in the India. This article will focus on the background and constitutional perspective of secularism as implemented in India, the Supreme Court’s interpretation of secularism and identification of certain religious practices as an essential and integral part of a religion and lastly the role of the State in regulating the freedom of religion.
