Selected indicators for the metabolic profile of blood plasma in 22 Aberdeen Angus bulls reared by the extensive method were monitored during postnatal development (from 4 to 564 days of age), including total proteins, albumin, urea, creatinine, glucose, cholesterol, triacylglycerols, bilirubin, alkaline phosphatase, alanine transaminase, aspartate transaminase, tyroxin, triiodothyronine, calcium, inorganic phosphorus, magnesium, potassium, sodium, chlorides, copper, zinc and iron. In assessing the relationship of age to the indicators of the internal environment, values of correlation coefficients for total proteins (r = –0.70;p< 0.01), albumin (r = –0.56;p< 0.01), urea (r = –0.73;p< 0.01), glucose (r = –0.38;p< 0.01) and triiodothyronine (r = –0.82;p< 0.01) were established. Significant relationships were shown between the temperature of the external environment and the amount of total proteins (r = –0.38;p< 0.01), urea concentration (r = –0.41;p< 0.01), ALP (r = 0.58;p< 0.01) and ALT (r = 0.45;p< 0.01) activity. Temperature also showed a significant impact on the concentration of P (r = 0.57;p< 0.01), K (r = –0.69;p< 0.01) and Zn (r = 0.33;p< 0.01). The work yields important information on changes in the indicators of the metabolic profile of the blood plasma of bulls during postnatal development under defined nutritional and temperature conditions that can be used as reference values for evaluating health status as well as nutrition level.

In the era of the information-communication technology with the development of electronic commerce, consumers can buy almost everything anywhere and at any time. One of the greatest benefits of e-commerce has been the convenience and the vast choices which consumers get online. However, some serious issues exist that impede consumers from transaction online. These issues have attracted the attention of many marketing researchers in recent years. In this research, the authors focus on the impact of consumers' ethics perception of e-retailer on their purchase intention and satisfaction. The authors also try to clarify the roles of trust and commitment in the relationship of ethics on consumers purchase decision and satisfaction because of their importance in e-commerce but also the privation in the research of previous studies. The data collected from a survey of 390 online consumers in Vietnam. Results reveal that there are significant relationships between online retailers' ethics and consumers' purchase intention and satisfaction via the mediation of trust and commitment.

In this study, the Assessment of Motor and Process Skills (AMPS), an observational assessment of functional ability, was compared with other tests of function and cognition, namely the Functional Independence Measure (RM), the CAMCOG (the cognitive component of the CAMDEX [Cambridge Examination for Mental Status in the Elderly]) and the Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE). The subjects were people with diagnosed dementia or mild memory impairment. The results were as expected, revealing significant relationships between AMPS process ability and the CAMCOG, the MMSE and the FIM social/cognition scale, and between AMPS motor ability and the RM physical scale. This supported the validity of the AMPS as an evaluation of the interaction between cognitive impairments and disability in complex activities of daily living.

The study was carried out to determine length-weight relationship and sex ratio of a freshwater fish Amblypharyngodon mola (Hamilton 1822) collected from Dekar haor of Sunamganj district during the period of January to August 2017. A total of 2000 fishes were collected for the study and categorized these fishes into three groups namely males, females and combined sexes. Among 2000 mola 777 were male and 1223 were female. Length-weight equations and the correlation coefficients obtained for males, females and combined ones were: males Y = –1.97 + 3.00X, r = 0.883; females Y = –2.30 + 3.41X, r = 0.914 and combined Y = –2.11 + 3.16X, r = 0.904. Female’s A. mola attained more weight with the increases in length. Value of correlation coefficient ‘r’ was 0.883 for male and exhibited highly positive correlation between length and weight. On the contrary, ‘r’ value for female was 0.914 and it had also strongly positive correlation between length and weight relationships. Length-weight relationship of A. mola for male, female and combined sexes showed allometric pattern of growth. Condition factor ‘K’ for male, female and combined sexes was 1.09, 1.05 and 1.06, respectively and indicated better condition of fishes. The highest sex ratio (1 : 2.05) was found in May and the lowest (1 : 1.33) was in February. Dominance of females over males throughout the year was observed with an average ratio of male and female 1 : 1.57. Therefore, results of the study indicate that the existing hydrobiological conditions of the haor are conducive for food availability, free movement, feeding and better growth of the fish. Asiat. Heart rate values are considered to be a significant indicator of individual fitness, intensity of exerciseand sympathetic activation. There are few studies in Czech literature focused on the heart rate in athleteswith intellectual disabilities. The aim of this study was to describe the characteristics of heart rateduring fifteen table tennis matches within the 23rd national tournament of the Czech Special OlympicsMovement. Ten participants (6 males, 4 females) who for at least 3 years train regularly and participatein table tennis competitions under the Special Olympics rules, were observed. Their heart rate wasmeasured using a sports tester Forerunner® 15, Garmin Ltd, which was fastened on the participant’schest during their game day. Heart rate values during the matches were statistically processed alongwith the matches’ duration and the resulting match scores. Correlation coefficients obtained from scatterplots show a statistically significant relationship of mean heart rate values during the match withthe resulting score, probably influenced by emotion and psychological stress associated with the matchloss. The effect of match duration on the heart rate was not statistically significant during observedmatches. Subsequent analysis of the body composition of the athletes showed that sixty percent ofthem were in the category of overweight or obesity. These results highlight the need to promote healthylifestyle and physical activity in the population with intellectual disabilities.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the mediating effect of optimism on the relationship between grit and learning flow in nursing college students. Methods: Structured self-reported questionnaires were used to measure grit, optimism and learning flow. The study was conducted on 200 nursing students in P, U and J cities between September 1 and September 20, 2020. The data were analyzed using a t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson’s correlation coefficients and hierarchical multiple linear regression with SPSS/WIN 23.0. Results: Significant relationships were found between learning flow and grit (r=.60, p<.001), between learning flow and optimism (r=.42, p<.001), and between grit and optimism (r=.42, p<.001). Additionally, optimism had a partial mediating effect on the relationship between grit and learning flow (Z=3.11, p<.001). Conclusion: These results indicate that interventions to increase the level of grit along with optimism is necessary in order to increase the level of nursing college students’ learning flow.

Abstract. Title of the paper: Relationship between lysosomal blood activity and milk content» of urea and protein in different phases of milk production in dairy cows Relationship of lysosomal enzyme activities in blood and supply of energy and protein in dairy cattle were investigated. Closed correlation coefficients were calculated for lysosomal enzyme activity and content of protein and urea in milk. Especially a high or a low content of protein in the food ration affects the lysosomal enzyme activities considerably. A different lysosomal response to equal food supply was gained after deviding the cow stock into different groups regarding performance at a different lactation status. Growth, breed, age, capacity of food intake and milk performance might be influencing factors.

The objective of the study was to determine selected indicators of the internal environment in individual cattle categories during the period of fattening to evaluate the relation of the individual blood components to the growth intensity and qualitative indicators of the meat. The trial involved half-siblings - bulls, heifers and steers housed in one stable. The threesome always had a common father. During the trials the live weight was monitored and blood samples were taken on days 310, 403, 448, 479, 512, 554 and 618 of age. The concentrations of total proteins, glucose, total cholesterol, urea and catalytic concentrations of ALP, ALT, AST, calcium, inorganic phosphorus, magnesium and copper in the blood plasma were assessed. In all cases the levels of indicators of the internal environment were within the range of the physiological values for the respective age category. Compared to bulls and steers, the concentration of total plasma cholesterol of the heifers was significantly higher (p < 0.05 and p < 0.01, respectively). The last samples were taken prior to slaughter of the animals and the individual components were correlated with the nutritional values and meat indicators; the correlation between the amount of glucose and urea in the blood serum and the tenderness of the meat was significant (p < 0.05 and p < 0.01). The correlation between the concentration of proteins in the blood plasma, the level of nitrogen or total protein in the muscles, the water-holding capacity and meat tenderness was positive. The study provides a basis for implementing helpful adjustments in current cattle management practises. Blood indicators presented in this paper can be added to existing knowledge to benefit veterinary research and clinical evaluations.

During 1995 and 1996, a commercial gin in western Arizona ginned seed cotton on a field-by-field basis. Seed from each field was kept separate until sampled and analyzed for aflatoxin content according to Arizona Commercial Feed Law. This gave a comprehensive view of field-to-field variability in aflatoxin content as the season progressed. Regression analysis indicated significant relationships between gin date and aflatoxin content in both years: aflatoxin increased with later ginnning. Overall, 89 and 79% of seed lots exceeded 20 ppb in 1995 and 1996, respectively. No field ginned after Julian Day (JD) 273 in 1995 or after JD 267 in 1996 had an aflatoxin content <20 ppb. Means separation confirmed later ginned crops had significantly greater aflatoxin content (P = 0.05). In 1996, transgenic Bt and non-Bt cottonseed were similarly contaminated. Mean aflatoxin content of Bt cottonseed in 1996 was 413 ppb and that of non-Bt cottonseed was 598 ppb. These observations suggest that, in Arizona, losses from aflatoxin contamination of cottonseed can be reduced by early harvest.

The peculiarities of metabolic and oxidation reduction processes as well as energoplastic metabolism during physiologic course of gestation in unfavourable cologie conditions are studied. It is established that in ecologically unfavourable region during physiologic pregnancy general degydrogenase activity of blood plasma increases, cell membranes are packed, general protein level increases. The decrease of general degydrogenase activity of blood plasma with the increase of pregnancy length, rarefaction of membranes, the reduction of relation coefficient of malate dehydrogenase and lactate degydrogenase activity, the increase of combined quantity relationship of reduced and oxidated equivalents can be considered to be biomarkers of physiologic pregnancy transfer to pathologic.
