The development of the international port of Patimban in Subang is very urgent. The port is expected to support the Tanjung Priok port in Jakarta which is unable to meet the loading and unloading needs of business operators, especially in West Java. In port development planning one of the main problems of physical chemical aspects is sedimentation and erosion process. The purpose of this modeling is to know the sedimentation and erosion pattern around the location plan of port development. The result of modeling is expected to be the initial consideration in designing the Patimban Port. Modeling of sediment transport is done by using MIKE21 Sand Transport module software by entering geophysical data of field survey result such as bathymetry, sea level, river flow and characteristic of existing sediment. Modeling is done both in west season and east season for 1 year (October 2016-September 2017). Based on the result of point extraction on the modeling result, it is known that the influence of dike significantly reduces the bed level change in the harbor channel about 46.45 - 82.28% (for dike 2 m) and about 55.01 - 88.94% (for dike 4 m). While, based on the result of the area extraction, it is known that the influence of the dike on the bed level change in the harbor channel is significant, that is to decrease the average of bed level change by 77.58% (for dike 2m) and 81.02% (for dike 4m).

Abstract Every port in Indonesia must have a Port Master Plan that contains an integrated port development plan. This study discusses one important aspect in the preparation of the Port Master Plan, namely the projected movement of goods and passengers, which can be used as a reference in determining the need for facilities at each stage of port development. The case study was conducted at a port located in a district in Maluku Province and aims to evaluate the analysis of projected demand for goods and passengers occurring at the port. The projection method used is time series and econometric projection. The projection results are then compared with the existing data in 2018. The results of this study show that the econometric projection gives adequate results in predicting loading and unloading activities as well as the number of passenger arrival and departure in 2018. This is indicated by the difference in the percentage of projection results towards the existing data, which is smaller than 10%. Whereas for loading and unloading activities, time series projections with logarithmic trends give better results than econometric projections. Keywords: port, port master plan, port development, unloading activities  Abstrak Setiap pelabuhan di Indonesia harus memiliki sebuah Rencana Induk Pelabuhan yang memuat rencana pengem-bangan pelabuhan secara terpadu. Kata-kata kunci: pelabuhan, rencana induk pelabuhan, pengembangan pelauhan, aktivitas bongkar barang

Sub-ground erosion often resulted in severe problems in various engineering constructions, most of which is due to the sub-erosion in loess. In this paper, the critical condition of “soil bursting” was analyzed and the formula describing the critical condition of soil bursting was derivated by the analytical method. Furthermore, the velocity of tunnel-erosion in loess and its influential factors were studied. A set of tests are designed to study the relationship between the tunnel-erosion velocity and the key influential factors. The key factors considered in the test include soil density as well as the initial water content. The other purpose is to reveal the characteristics of the tunnel-erosion process. Phenomena observed during the tests together with the data from field survey revealed the mechanism of tunneling in loess very well, and the work in this paper formed a theoretical basis for further study about sub-ground erosion in loess.

Based on the “Internet +” technology, this paper establishes a logistics information platform for the container terminal. Under the premise of the scheduled arrival time and quantity of the truck, this paper aims at minimizing the working time of the loading and unloading equipment and the stay time of the train and truck in the station, and develops a scheduling optimization of loading and unloading model combing equilibrium assignment and flexible scheduling to realize the seamless transfer between rail and road transportation in container terminal. In order to solve the model, a multi-layer coding genetic algorithm with chromosome feasibility is designed to obtain the optimal scheduled time for the truck, and the optimal operation sequence of the gantry crane. Referring to China’s container station, this paper takes Takoradi container terminal of Ghana as a case to verify the accuracy and effectiveness of the model and algorithm and provides the medium or long term planning for Ghana’s development.

This reservoir is stem Kreo River which cathment areas of 54 km2, pool of area 110 ha and volume is 20 billion m3. This reservoir is potential to develop as natural fisheries area. The goals of this research were to explore existing condition of physical, biological as well as chemical parameter; carrying capacity assessment for natural fisheries; determining appropriate fish species to be developed in Jatibarang reservoir. This research was done in descriptive explorative scheme. Field survey and laboratory analyses were conducted to identify physical, chemical and biological parameters of the water. Physical parameters measured were temperature and water brightness. Chemical parameters measured were pH, DO, phosphate, Ammonia, nitrites and nitrate, while biological parameter measured were chlorophyll-a concentration. Carrying capacity analyses was done referred to the Government Regulation Number 82, 2001 that regulate the management of water quality and water pollution control. Based on the research, it showed that the existing condition of physical, chemical and biological parameters were still good to be used for natural fisheries. Based on TSI index, it classified as eutrofic water. Furthermore, tilapia fish (Oreochromis mossambicus), nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) tawes (Barbonymus gonionotus) and carper fish (Cyprinus carpio) were considered as best species for natural fisheries in Jatibarang Reservoir.

<p>Hydrological anomalies induced by the earthquakes are valuable research data to understand the hydrogeology structure. At the same time, a complete hydrogeological data is the key to the study of earthquake hydrology. In this research, we collected the anomalous hydrological data after the Mw 6.4 2016 Meinong Earthquake in Taiwan. The main purpose is to know the mechanism of hydrological changes triggered by earthquake and understand the local hydrogeological characteristics in the southern Taiwan.</p><p>From the distribution of the groundwater level change in the same location but different depths of aquifer, as well as the location of the rupture and liquefaction, it could be found that the co-seismic groundwater level change is large in Chianan Plain in the northwest of the epicenter and accompanied with a lot of ruptures and liquefactions located along the Hsinhua Fault. However, the observations in several wells around the Hsinhua Fault show a different water level change pattern compared with the other wells in Chianan Plain. Actually, these wells show that the co-seismic groundwater level decreases in the deep aquifer and increase in the shallow aquifer. It is shown that the Meinong Earthquake may enhance the connectivity between different aquifers near the fault zone and produce an increased vertical pressure gradient. The anomalous hydrological phenomenon also reflected in the river flow. Based on the river flow data we collected from five stations in the Zengwun River watershed, the river flow at two stations in the upstream dose not change after earthquake. There is a little increase at the midstream station. However, a large river flow increase is observed at the downstream station. After excluding the influence of rainfall, we think that the large amount of anomalous flow is caused by the rise of the co-seismic groundwater level between the middle and downstream sections, and a large amount of liquefaction in this area can prove this hypothesis.</p><p>The hypothesis of connectivity changes between different aquifers can be verified by analyzing the tidal response of different aquifers. Many studies have used the tide analysis to obtain the aquifer permeability and compressibility, and compared the changes in the analysis results before and after the earthquake. We think that if different aquifers are vertically connected after earthquake, the tidal analysis results should show a consistent permeability. Tidal analysis is executing now and the results will be provided at conference.</p>

Indonesia has a great potential to be a country-wide laboratory of underwater landscape study. This is due  to the fact that its two main contingents, Sunda and Sahul, had been experiencing sea level rise  event  in the late of ice age which intersected the timeline of prehistoric human migration. Even though Indonesian ocean preserves the richness of underwater resources, including archaeological data, the study itself has not been touched by many. This paper will focus in two objectives: 1) Reconstructing paleo-river model and;2) Potential prehistoric remnants in Misool Islands caves. The method used includes field survey by diving and data brackets by using sub-bottom profiler.  Besides, we also conducted literature reviews. The results of this study indicate that the Sunda and Sahul Exposures are likely to  be  inhabited by  humans, but  at this time the remains have sunk on the seabed. It is hoped that this study can be the basis and motivation for future archeological research such as prehistoric human settlements and migration in a submerged landscape environment. Keywords:Submerged landscape, Sunda shelf, Sahul shelf, Sea-level change, Underwater archaeologyIndonesia memiliki potensi yang besar untuk menjadi sebuah laboratorium penelitian lanskap bawah air.

ABSTRACT The estimation of loads of pollutants is of crucial interest to identify the level of water quality, understand the processes and identify the sources of pollution. The aim of this study was to calculate time trends of loads and concentrations of eleven physical, chemical and biological parameters, in nine quality monitoring stations of the Verde River Basin from 2008 to 2014. The time series analysis was performed with different tests. First, with the verification of autocorrelation of the time series using the Spearman correlation test. Then, Kruskal-Wallis test was used to check significant differences between the seasons and, afterwards the Mann-Kendall or the Seasonal Mann-Kendall time trend tests were applied accordingly. The analysis results indicated differences between the spatial distribution of loads and concentrations for most of the parameters evaluated in this study. The results showed that the simultaneous analysis of concentration data and flow data is essential for a more comprehensive and reliable evaluation of water quality, since the changes in river flow over time can mislead the interpretation of the concentration data. Moreover, to analyze only the pollutant load data, without looking how the flow and concentration behaves, does not provide conclusive results, since it does not allow to evaluate whether changes in the load values were caused by alterations of the flow or concentration. Thus, the results indicate the need to monitor water quality along with flow measurement, providing more complete and reliable assessments of the evolution of water quality.

AbstractA total of 57 stonefly species have been recorded in the Hron River. The natural gradient (slope and stream width) and pollution gradient of the river were defined using CCA based on physical, chemical and stonefly data. Stonefly metrics (abundance, richness/diversity, sensitivy/tolerance and functional metrics) were used to estimate the quality of the Hron River and the degree of proximity to its natural state. Similar results were obtained using two different methods. The first method was based on the homogeneity of variance and the interquartile range of different groups of stretches of the Hron River and the second was based on deviations from the expected values of biological metrics in a given stretch of the river. These values continuously decreased with increasing distance from the spring area, with the exception of the saprobic index, which increased in a downstream direction, and the stonefly average score, which did not change significantly along the whole river flow. The Stonefly Average Score (SAS) metric is universal for a variety of habitats such as the Hron River upstream and downstream, and is a reliable indicator of water quality and the natural course of a stream.
