This workshop presents guidelines and tools for action research in the school library which will help the librarian justify expenditures and personnel and evaluate and plan services. It shows how statistics can be turned into meaningful knowledge about what is currently being done in your library, how well it is being done, whether it should be done, and what needs to be known to prepare for the future. Included are types of measurements, measurement techniques, meaningful data analysis, and pungent reporting of data to a variety of audiences.

This research is motivated by poor teacher performance. For this reason the aim of this research is to improve teacher performance by carrying out academic supervision. This study uses a school action research design that has stages of planning, implementation, observation, reflection. This research was conducted at the target schools in Dumai city from March 4 to April 27. The subjects of this study were grade IV elementary school teachers totaling 11 people. Data analysis instruments use observation sheets that are analyzed and described according to the criteria set. The results showed that the teacher's performance in the first cycle had an average percentage of 65% with sufficient criteria, classically the number of teachers who achieved the indicator of success was 3 people (27%). After repairs with academic supervision, the performance of teachers in the second cycle increased with a percentage of 81% with sufficient criteria. Classically the number of teachers who achieved good performance was 9 people (81%). The conclusion of this study is the implementation of academic supervision can improve the performance of elementary school teachers in the city of Dumai.

This study concerns on improving students’ achievement in writing procedure texts through word webbing technique. The research was conducted by using Classroom Action Research (CAR). The population was the 2012-2013 nine grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Batang Kuis. The number of students was 36, consisting of 21 females and 15 males. The procedure of the research was administrated into two cycles where each cycle consisted of three meetings. Each meeting included four steps namely: planning, action, observation, and reflection. There were two kinds of data collected during the study, qualitative and quantitative data. The instrument for collecting the quantitative data was the writing of procedure texts test while the qualitative data were gathered by using interview, diary notes and observation sheet. Based on the data analysis, the mean of students’ score in Test I was 53,47, for the Test II was 63,05, and for the Test III was 75 The qualitative data showed that the students were interested in the applying of Word webbing Technique. The conclusion is that Word Webbing Technique in writing Procedure Texts improves the students’ achievement in writing procedure texts. This study is concerned with the improving student’s vocabulary achievement in writing descriptive text through Make a Match Method. The objective of this study was to discover whether the use of Make a Match Method could significantly improve students’ vocabulary achievement in writing descriptive text. This study was conducted by applying Classroom Action Research which was carried out in two cycles in six meetings. The subject of this study was students of SMA Negeri 1 Pollung which consisted of 34 students. The instruments for collecting data were descriptive writing test, observation sheet, questionnaire sheet, and diary notes. The techniques for data analysis were quantitative and qualitative. It was found that teaching-learning process ran well. Students were active, enthusiastic and interested on writing descriptive text. The result of this study showed that the use of Make a Match Method significantly improved student’s vocabulary achievement in writing descriptive text.

The millimeter-wave (mmWave) is expected to deliver a huge bandwidth to address the future demands for higher data rate transmissions. However, one of the major challenges in the mmWave band is the increase in signal loss as the operating frequency increases. This has attracted several research interests both from academia and the industry for indoor and outdoor mmWave operations. This paper focuses on the works that have been carried out in the study of the mmWave channel measurement in indoor environments. A survey of the measurement techniques, prominent path loss models, analysis of path loss and delay spread for mmWave in different indoor environments is presented. This covers the mmWave frequencies from 28 GHz to 100 GHz that have been considered in the last two decades. In addition, the possible future trends for the mmWave indoor propagation studies and measurements have been discussed. These include the critical indoor environment, the roles of artificial intelligence, channel characterization for indoor devices, reconfigurable intelligent surfaces, and mmWave for 6G systems. This survey can help engineers and researchers to plan, design, and optimize reliable 5G wireless indoor networks. It will also motivate the researchers and engineering communities towards finding a better outcome in the future trends of the mmWave indoor wireless network for 6G systems and beyond.

Based on a subway tunnel construction, the construction method was introduced. The ground subsidence, crown settlement and convergence displacement caused by the cut tunnel are monitored during the tunneling construction and the results of monitoring data for them are analyzed. This technology wells to guide the tunnel-entering construction effectively and avoid the tunnel-entering construction process prone to landslides, thus ensuring the safety of the tunnel construction and will guiding the future construction.

Queue is a common situation that is common in everyday life where consumers wait in front of the counter to get a turn of service or service facilities. The study aims to determine the performance of the queuing system at the train ticket counter at Yogyakarta Tugu Station. This research is an action research. The population in this study are all customers who come to Yogyakarta Tugu Railway Station to purchase train tickets. Sampling using accidental sampling technique. Data collection techniques used are the method of observation and documentation. Data analysis techniques used queuing formulas for Model B: M / M / S. The results showed that the performance of the queuing system at the train ticket counter at Yogyakarta Tugu Station was not optimal.
