This research analysis and optimizes the main wind horizontal turbine blade parameters for high-performance altitude with variable pitch blade angle for different blade cross-section unsymmetrical airfoil NACA 4412 and unsymmetrical airfoil supercritical Eppler 417. For deep specification, some wind horizontal turbine parameters kept constant through the proses method to integrate the highest behavior of windmill turbine power coefficient. The procedure analysis with FORTRAN.90 code ,then compare with German code and then optimized using Schmitz and Betz method for blade chord and lift to drag for blade pitch angle. From theoretical results discussion, important conclusions figured; also a recommendation for further work was suggested. Best optimization methods were Schmitz chord optimization and Lift/Drag twist optimization which increases the Cp 10.3% for Eppler 4417 and 9.5% for NACA 4412.All results were tabulated and plotted for all optimization results

Propeller turbine performance can be improved by changing the turbine design parameters. One method that was developed is to vary the blade angle on the runner's blades. Analysis of the influence of blade angle on propeller turbine performance is done through numerical simulations based on computational fluid dynamics. The simulation is done with variations of propeller turbine blade angles of 180, 230, and 280 at flow rates of 0.08 m/s to 0.5 m/s. Simulation results show turbines with 250 blade angles have the best performance compared to turbine blade angles of 230 and 280. While the turbine blade angles of 230 tend to have higher performance compared to angles of 280 even though both have peak values for the corresponding power coefficient. Keywords—Propeller turbine, runner blade, pitch angle, CFD simulation

Selection process of the propeller for short take-off and landing (STOL) category aircraft is described. The aim is to achieve the highest possible performance with fixed propeller. The requirements are following: high maximal horizontal and cruise speeds, short take-off, high rate of climb and fixed propeller. These requirements are contradictory and so Pareto sets were used in order to find the optimal propeller. The method is applied for a family of geometrically similar propellers that are suitable for 73.5 kW (100 hp) piston engine designed for ultralight category aircraft with maximal take-off weight 472.5 kg. The propellers have from two to eight blades, blade angle settings from 15° to 40° and diameter from 1.1m to 2.65m. Pareto frontier is designed for each couple of parameters and the optimal propeller is selected according to these results. For comparison, the optimal propeller selection from the propeller family by means of a standard single-optimal process based on the speed power coefficient cs is also used. Using of Pareto sets leads to considerable performance increase for the set of contradictory requirements. So, high performance power system with low price (fixed pitch propeller) for STOL category aircraft can be designed. The described method can be used for the propeller optimization in similar cases.

This article discusses the analysis of the general equations of the transverse vibration of a piecewise homogeneous viscoelastic plate obtained in the “Oscillation of inlayer plates of constant thickness” [1]. In the present work on the basis of a mathematical method, the approached theory of fluctuation of the two-layer plates, based on plate consideration as three dimensional body, on exact statement of a three dimensional mathematical regional problem of fluctuation is stood at the external efforts causing cross-section fluctuations. The general equations of fluctuations of piecewise homogeneous viscoelastic plates of the constant thickness, described in work [1], are difficult on structure and contain derivatives of any order on coordinates x, y and time t and consequently are not suitable for the decision of applied problems and carrying out of engineering calculations. For the decision of applied problems instead of the general equations it is expedient to use confidants who include this or that final order on derivatives. The classical equations of cross-section fluctuation of a plate contain derivatives not above 4th order, and for piecewise homogeneous or two-layer plates the elementary approached equation of fluctuation is the equation of the sixth order. On the basis of the analytical decision of a problem the general and approached decisions of a problem are under construction, are deduced the equation of fluctuation of piecewise homogeneous two-layer plates taking into account rigid contact on border between layers, and also taking into account mechanical and rheological properties of a material of a plate. The received theoretical results for the decision of dynamic problems of cross-section fluctuation of piecewise homogeneous two-layer plates of a constant thickness taking into account viscous properties of their material allow to count more precisely the is intense-deformed status of plates at non-stationary external loadings.

The development of a new generation of high performance gas turbine engines requires gas turbines to be operated at very high inlet temperatures, which are much higher than the allowable metal temperatures. Consequently, this necessitates the need for advanced cooling techniques. Among the numerous cooling technologies, the film cooling technology has superior advantages and relatively favorable application prospect. The recent research progress of film cooling techniques for gas turbine blade is reviewed and basic principle of film cooling is also illustrated. Progress on rotor blade and stationary blade of film cooling are introduced. Film cooling development of leading-edge was also generalized. Effect of various factor on cooling effectiveness and effect of the shape of the injection holes on plate film cooling are discussed. In addition, with respect to progress of discharge coefficient is presented. In the last, the future development trend and future investigation direction of film cooling are prospected.

On the basis of the theoretical study and application of ordinary steel-encased concrete composite beam, this paper will focus on a new high-strength steel-encased concrete composite beam, and mainly studies high-performance steel Q420 and Q460, as well as high-strength concrete C60 and C80. Besides, an experimental study of 5 simply-supported beams is made, and the load-deflection curves of new SCCB are analyzed. The calculation formula of load which changes with depth of section and bending strength of the cross section is also analyzed. It is suggested that the calculated results announced should be identical with the experimental results.

Synthetic aperture radar (SAR) ship wake images in light wind and calm sea conditions frequently appear in the form of a bright V with a half-angle of 2 to 3 deg. Sophisticated and conflicting explanations of this phenomenon, based on the Bragg scattering mechanism, have been proposed. There is a belief that the narrow V-wake is not a part of the Kelvin wake. An alternative approach, which is not generally accepted, suggests that short divergent Kelvin waves may contribute to the V-wake imaging although these waves are mixed with unsteady surface waves generated by the ship-induced turbulence. Ship-generated divergent waves contaminated by surfactants and their radar backscattering cross section are studied. The hull of the ship is represented by a single layer of hydrodynamic singularities. The Green function of a point source moving below a free surface covered by surfactants is derived. A closed-form asymptotic solution for the far ship wave wake is obtained. It is used to calculate analytically the corresponding radar backscattering cross section. The radiative, viscous, and surfactant-induced decay of the V-wake brightness along the V-arms is discussed. The theoretical results are compared against available experimental data.
