This study aims to describe the effectiveness of the inquiry learning model to improve students' cognitive learning outcomes at the temperature and heat of class XI from one public school (SMAN 1 Gerung). This type of research is a quasi experiment with the basic pattern "The One Group Pretest-Posttest Design" and descriptive method. The research instrument used was the observation sheet applying the learning model and test the learning outcomes in the cognitive domain (C1 to C6). Assessment of learning implementation using a scale of 1 to 4. Student learning outcomes are said to be complete if 80% of students obtain a minimum value of 75. The results of this study indicate that: the implementation of learning increased from the criteria both in the first meeting to rise to be very good criteria at the fourth meeting. Student cognitive learning outcomes increased from 43 in the pre-test to 78 in the post-test, with classical completeness of 84%. The conclusion of this study is inquiry learning effectively improves students' cognitive learning outcomes in temperature and heat.

The guided inquiry learning model is an approach that involves students actively thinking and finding what they want to know. This research have as a purpose to knowladge cognitive learning outcomes of students taught by guided inquiry learning models assisted by electronic workbench software. The population in this research were students of class XII MIA SMAN 1 Lasolo registered in the odd semester of the 2019/2020 academic year consisting of 3 classes with 104 students. Samples were taken by purposive sampling technique so that class XII MIA1 was obtained as an experiment class and class XII MIA2 as a control class. Data collection techniques for students' cognitive learning outcomes using multiple choice tests. Data analysis uses descriptive analysis and inferential statistics. Based on the results of data analysis and discussion obtained: (1) there is no significant difference between the average value of the experiment class pretest and the control class before learning; (2) there is a significant difference between the average value of cognitive class learning outcomes of the experiment class and the control class; (3) the average value of N-Gain learning outcomes of the cognitive domain of experiment class students is in the high category with the acquisition of a value of 0.73 while the average value of the N-Gain of the control class is in the moderate category of 0.49. This shows that the guided inquiry learning model assisted by electronics workbench software is very suitable to be applied in physics learning activities in schools.

The purpose of this study is to describe the grant of science based learning media Kinect to support the improvement of students’ learning outcomes from cognitive aspect. This research is an educational development research which is adapted from the development model according to Borg Gall. The research was conducted in four main stages, that are (1) needs analysis, (2) instructional design, (3) media development, (4) validation. Instruments used in this research are assessment sheets by validator, student response questionnaires, pretests, and post test. After being validated, the media was tested to ten students, so that the results obtained of student responses and the effectiveness of improving students' cognitive learning outcomes. The result of the development is Kinect-based science learning media. From the results of research and development stage as well as experiments that have been done can be concluded that the product can improved student learning outcomes in cognitive aspect

The problem faced in this study is the low science learning outcomes in material related to chemistry. The purpose of this study was to determine the improvement of student learning outcomes through the Laboratory Inquiry learning model on acid, alkaline, and salt material in class VII of SMP 1 Percut Sei Tuan Tahun. Action research was conducted in class VII of SMP Negeri 1 Percut Sei Tuan with a total of 32 students. The research took place in 2 cycles by expressing four stages in each cycle, namely: the stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Analysis of research data in the form of quantitative and qualitative data which is the student learning outcomes (pre-test and post-test) and the results of observations of students' skills utilizing percentage, namely by calculating the increase in student mastery learning individually. The results of the first cycle test, there were 17 students (53.13%) had achieved mastery learning while 15 students (46.87%) had not achieved mastery learning. After it was found that there was an increase, it continued to give action in the second cycle. Then the results of the second cycle test were found to have a substantial increase in the number of students completing, namely from 32 students. It turned out that 28 students (87.50%) had achieved mastery learning, only four students (12.50%) had not reached completeness in learning. Students' skills in conducting practicum have increased significantly. Based on the results of the first cycle test and the second cycle test, it can be concluded that the Laboratory Inquiry Learning Model on Acid, Base, and Salt material can improve the learning outcomes of junior high school students.

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of SETS based science teaching materials with guided inquiry learning model to improve the students' cognitive learning outcomes. This research was conducted by using learning cycles. The teaching materials developed were tested in class VIII MTs Bilingual Muslimat NU Pucang Sidoarjo semester even 2018/2019 academic year with the design of one group pretest-posttest design. Teaching materials developed include: (a) syllabus (b) Lesson Plan, (c) student books, (d) Worksheet, and (e) Learning Outcomes Assessment Sheet. The research parameters measured were the effectiveness of learning materials. The research data was obtained through validation, observation and test methods. The results of the study were analyzed descriptively quantitatively and qualitatively. Science literacy abilities of students are analyzed by n-gain. The results showed that (a) the learning devices developed were categorized as very valid, (b) the learning activities were carried out very well, (c) moderate scientific literacy skills. Based on the results of the analysis and discussion, it was concluded that the science learning device guided inquiry model that was developed valid, practical, and effective was used to increasing students' cognitive learning outcomes.

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui pengaruh model Guided Inquiry Learning terhadap hasil belajar siswa SMA di SMAN 1 Pringgarata. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian eksperimen semu dengan desain penelitian yaitu pretest-postest control group design. Teknik cluster random sampling digunakan untuk menentukan sampel peneltian di mana, kelas X IPA 3 sebagai kelas eksperimen (21 siswa) yang dibelajarkan menggunakan model Guided Inquiry Learning dan kelas X IPA 2 sebagai kelas kontrol (20 siswa) yang dibelajarkan menggunakan pembelajaran langsung. Instrumen tes berupa pilihan ganda sebanyak 30 item soal digunakan untuk mengukur hasil belajar siswa yang diberikan sebelum dan sesudah pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata pretest kelas eksperimen sebesar 30,10 dan kelas kontrol sebesar 33,20 sedangkan nilai rata-rata post-test kelas eksperimen sebesar 80,57 dan kelas kontrol sebesar 75,60. Hasil uji statistik menggunakan uji-t dengan taraf signifikan 5%, diperoleh hasil t-hitung sebesar (4,12) > t-tabel sebesar (2,02), sehingga H0 ditolak. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa model Guided Inquiry Learning berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar siswa SMA di SMAN 1  Pringgarata.The Effect of Guided Inquiry Learning Model on Student Learning Outcomes at SMAN 1 PringgarataAbstractThe purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the Guided Inquiry Learning model on high school students’ learning outcomes at SMAN 1 Pringgarata. The 30-item multiple choice test instrument was used to measure student learning outcomes given before and after learning. The results showed that the average value of the experimental class pretest was 30.10 and the control class was 33.20 while the post-test mean value of the experimental class was 80.57 and the control class was 75.60. The results of statistical tests using the t-test with a significance level of 5%, the results obtained t-test of (4.12)> t-table of (2.02), so that H0 is rejected. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the Guided Inquiry Learning model effect on high school students’ learning outcomes at SMAN 1 Pringgarata.

This study aims to determine the effect of the Guided Inquiry (GI) learning model with Thingking Empowering By Questioning (TEQ) on student cognitive learning outcomes. This study was a quasi-experimental study with a pretest posttest control group design. The population of this research was the students of class XI MIPA SMAN 3 Dumai in the academic year 2018/2019. Sampling method was done using random sampling techniques to get experiment and control class. The parameters measured were cognitive learning outcomes and the instrument used was an objective test. The data analysis technique for testing hypotheses was independent t-test. Data analysis showed sig ˂ 0.05 then H0 was rejected, this shows that student learning outcomes with the Guided Inqury model with Thingking Empowering By Questioning were significantly different from student learning outcomes with conventional models. Student learning outcomes using the Guided Inqury learning model with Thingking Empowering By Questioning are better than student learning outcomes using conventional learning. The average value of student learning outcomes in the experimental class was 81.82 while the control class was 61.29. The average N-gain of the experimental group was 0.70 with a high category and the control group was 0.38 with a moderate category.

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Role Playing berbantuan media video terhadap hasil belajar kognitif siswa pada materi bunyi. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SD Swasta Torsina III Singkawang. Jenis penelitian yaitu penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode quasi experimental, dalam bentuk Nonequivalent Pre-test and Post-test Control Group Design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas IV SD Torsina III Singkawang. Sampel diambil menggunakan teknik non probability dengan jenis sampling jenuh. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik tes berupa tes objektif materi bunyi dan teknik non tes berupa angket respon. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar ranah kognitif antara siswa yang diterapkan model pembelajaran role playing berbantuan media video dengan siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran langsung; (2) Penggunaan model pembelelajaran role playing berbantuan media video berpengaruh tinggi terhadap hasil belajar kognitif siswa; (3) Respon siswa positif terhadap model pembelajaran role playing berbantuan media video pada kategori baik. Kata kunci: model pembelajaran role playing; media video; hasil belajar kognitif. ABSTRACTThis study aims to determine the effect of the video media-assisted Role Playing learning model on students' cognitive learning outcomes on sound material. The research was conducted at Torsina III Private Elementary School, Singkawang. The type of research is quantitative research with quasi-experimental method, in the form of Nonequivalent Pre-test and Post-test Control Group Design. The population in this study were all fourth grade students of SD Torsina III Singkawang. Samples were taken using a non-probability technique with saturated sampling type. The data collection technique used a test technique in the form of an objective test of sound material and a non-test technique in the form of a response questionnaire. The results showed that: (1) there were differences in cognitive domain learning outcomes between students who applied the role playing learning model assisted by video media and students who received direct learning; (2) The use of role playing learning models assisted by video media has a high effect on students' cognitive learning outcomes; (3) Positive student responses to the video-assisted role playing learning model in the good category. Keywords: role playing learning model; video media; cognitive learning outcomes.

This study was a quasy experiment that aims to investigate and compare students' cognitive learning outcomes using two different learning model i.e. investigation learning and inquiry learning. The third year students of biology class VIg and VIh were involved in experimental groups, class VIg experienced investigation learning model and class VIh was implementing inquiry learning model. Both classes were taught Anatomy and Human Physiology courses. Data were collected by administrating questionnaire sheets for learning motivation and pretest-postest for cognitive learning result. This result showed that the inquiry learning model improved the motivation and cognitive learning outcomes in one experimental group (Class VIh). It was shown by the mean score was 61.40 for inquiry learning model and 48.40 to the investigation learning model. To summarize this study, inquiry learning model had significant impact in students’ cognitive learning outcomes.
