Tujuan  penelitian  ini  adalah  untuk  mengetahui  ada  tidaknya  pengaruh model Double Loop Problem Solving terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas X pada mata pelajaran PPKn. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Quasi Eksperimen dengan nonequivalen  control  group  desigen. Instrument  yang  digunakan  dalam  penelitian  ini adalah tes bentuk pilihan ganda sebanyak 22 soal untuk mengukur kemampuan berpikir  kritis   sisw a.  Data   hasil   kemampuan   berpikir  kritis  sisw a  diambil menggunakan tes pilihan ganda yang telah memenuhi persyaratan instrumen penelitian.   Hasil   penelitian   menunjukkan   bahwa pada  tarap signifikan  5%, artinya hasil penelitian menunjukkan baw a ada pengaruh model Double Loop Problem Solving terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis sisw a kelas X pada mata pelajaran PPKn. AbstractThe purpose  of this research is to know  w hether there is influence of Double Loop  Problem  Solving model to critical thinking ability of class X students of civic   education   subject.  This  research  is  Quasi Eksperiment   research  w ith nonequivalen  control  group  design.  The instrument  used  in this research is a multiple choice test consist of 22 questions to measure students' critical thinking ability. The data on students' critical thinking abilities w ere picked using a multiple choice test that has met the requirements of the research instrument. The results show ed that at 5% significant level, w hich mean that there w as an influence model of Double Loop Problem Solving on the critical thinking skills of first grade students in Civic Education subject.Keywords: Double Loop Problem Solving, Critical Thinking

The aims of this study are to determine the improvement of critical thinking skills mathematical and metacognition of students who are taught with problem solving approach and the correlation between mathematical critical thinking and metacognition of students. This research is an experimental research with pretest-posttest control group design. The sample this research is the students of class VIII_2 and VIII_3 in SMP Negeri 1 Banda Aceh. Collecting data technique are test and nontest. Data were analyzed using t-test and correlation test. The result of the research shows 1) the critical thinking ability of the students who get the learning through problem solving approach is better than the students who get the conventional learning, 2) Metacognition of students who get the learning by using problem solving approach is better than the students who get the conventional learning, 3) a positive and significant relationship between students' metacognition and critical thinking skills.

THE EFFECT OF PROBLEM BASED LEARNING AND CRITICAL THINKING ON HIGH ORDER THINGKING ABILITY            AbstractThis study aims to determine the effect of problem-based learning model and critical thinking skills on students' high-order thinking about optical materials. Quasi-experimental method with two-way ANOVA design was used to conduct this study with 34 second semester physic education students of IKIP PGRI Pontianak. Data of students’ higher order thinking ability was obtained from multiple choice test with reason while the data of students' critical thinking ability was measured using multiple choice test. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that: (1) there is an influence of the problem based learning model on high student's thinking ability, (2) there is an influence of high critical thinking ability and low critical thinking ability on high student's thinking ability and (3) the interaction between the application of problem based learning model with the ability to think critically to the students' high level of thinking ability. AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model problem based learning, keterampilan berpikir kritis dan interaksinya terhadap kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi mahasiswa pada materi optika. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen semu dengan desain two way ANOVA. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di IKIP PGRI Pontianak pada mahasiswa semester II program studi pendidikan fisika sebanyak 34 orang mahasiswa. Data kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi mahasiswa diperoleh dengan menggunakan tes pilihan ganda dengan alasan sedangkan data kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa diukur dengan menggunakan tes berbentuk multiple choice. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dapat disimpulkan bahwa: (1) terdapat pengaruh penerapan model problem based learning terhadap kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi mahasiswa, (2) terdapat pengaruh kemampuan berpikir kritis tinggi dan kemampuan berpikir kritis rendah terhadap kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi mahasiswa dan (3) terdapat interaksi antara penerapan model problem based learning dengan kemampuan berpikir kritis terhadap kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi mahasiswa.

This study was a pre test-post test experimental control group design having a goal to analyze  the role of prior mathematics ability (PMA) and Problem Solving Approach (PSA) on student’s mathematical critical  thinking ability (MCTA)  and disposition (MCTD). The study involved 65  eleventh grade students, a prior mathematics ability (PMA), a MCTA test, a  MCTD scale. The study found that PMA and PSA took roles on obtaining student’s MCTA and MCTD, those were the higher student’s PMA the study found the higher students MCTA and MCTD. Beside that, on MCTA and its N Gain, entirely and with low and medium PMA students  getting treatment with PSA attained  better grades than the grades of students taught by conventional teaching (CT);  and for entirely and with medium and high PMA, student recieving treatment with PSA obtained higher grades on MCTA and MCTD than student  taught by CT and those grades were at good grade level. The other findings, there was no association between MCTA and MCTD, and no interaction between PAM and teaching approaches toward MCTA and on MCTD and student  learn  actively during PSA

The ability to think critically is stated as an essential skill in 21st century society so it must be integrated into the learning process. Critical thinking can be implemented through the cooperative learning model and Outcome Based Education integrated with local wisdom. The inclusion of local wisdom in learning is a manifestation of the mandate of national education. The occurrence of the Covid-19 outbreak requires learning to be carried out online. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of cooperative-based online learning and Outcome Based Education integrated local wisdom on critical thinking skills. The research method used the nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group design, the determination of the sample used purposive sampling technique, the data collection used a multiple choice test, and the data were analyzed using the MANOVA test using SPSS 16,0. The pre-test average test result of Critical Thinking ability in the experimental group was 37.5, while the control group score was 53,57. Furthermore, the Post-Test average of Critical Thinking ability of the experimental group was 67,14, while the control group was 57,5. The results of the Test Between Subject Effect analysis resulted in a significant value of critical thinking skills of 0,004. Based on these results, it can be stated that there is an effect of cooperative-based online learning and Outcome Based education integrated local wisdom on the critical thinking skills of students of SMAN 8 Mataram.

[Title: The effect of double loop problem-solving model on students’ critical thinking skill]. This research aims to find out the effect of the double loop problem-solving model on students’ critical thinking skill. The type of research used was quasi-experimental with untreated control group design with pretest and posttest. The population was all students of grade X in senior high school 2 of Aikmel with the amount of 123 students. The sampling technique used purposive sampling, considering that students have already obtained the same physics subject matter that is harmonic vibration and mid-terms test score were almost the same so that it has been selected sample X MIA 2 consisting of 31 students as the experimental class and sample X MIA 3 consisting of 28 students as the controlled class. The experimental class was treated with double loop problem-solving model while the controlled class was treated with direct instruction. The instrument used was the critical thinking skill essay test consisting of 10 items in which each indicator was measured with 2 items. The measured indicators are interpretation, analysis, evaluation, inference and explanation. Instrument test results showed the 10 items can be used in the research (valid and reliable). The research hypothesis was tested using t-test polled variance. Data analysis showed that  >  which means that was rejected and was accepted. Thus, it can be concluded that there is an effect of double loop problem-solving model on students’ critical thinking skill.

This research paper reports an experimental study geared to examine the effect of teaching reasoning fallacies on the critical thinking ability of a group of Moroccan university students. In a random assignment post-test design, 40 subjects took part in the study treatment.  While the subjects in both experimental groups (n 20) received treatment on how to avoid and spot fallacies in arguments, the control group was involved straightway in taking the pre-test and the post test (with no prior assistance) for comparison purposes. After the treatment -which consisted in having the experimental group (n 20 subjects) receive training on the meaning of 15 reasoning fallacies and reinforcements tasks on how to identify them in statements and how to avoid them when they speak or write - all the subjects answered a twenty item multiple-choice test and 5 of them responded to structured interview to identify their attitudes.  The final scores were then subjected to descriptive as well as referential statistics (independent and paired samples T-test) for between-group comparison purposes. The results reveal a significant facilitative and positive effect of reasoning fallacies training understudy, particularly when compared to the control condition. A follow-up investigation through an independent simplest-test) attested to the fact that the training resulted in an increased critical thinking ability as measured by the receptive and productive and this is particularly so when compared to the control condition. The study concludes with the main finding together with their interpretation. Some practical implications related to critical thinking instruction, lesson planning and material development, in general, brings the full paper circle.

Mathematical Critical thinking is one of  mathematical abilities that must be obtained by students. Critical thinking is one of the high order thinking processes that can make concepts in student knowledge.  Students with critical thinking in mathematics learning mostly do rational activities such as interpreting information based on a particular theoretical framework, linking theory with practice, making claims and justifying it, utilizing data in support of argumentation, making relations or relationships between various ideas, asking questions, evaluating knowledge, predict, describe something, analyze, synthesize, and categorize. This study aims to analyze the effect of the Concept-Based Learning Model on the critical thingking mathematical abilities.The purpose of this research is to analyze the effect of Concept-Based Learning Model toward mathematics critical thinking ability. The method used in this research is quasi experiment by Randomize Control Group Post Test Only Design with cluster random sampling technique. Indicators of mathematics critical thinking skills measured in this study include providing simple explanations, building basic skills, concluding, making more explanations, and deciding an action. The results showed that the mathematics critical thinking ability of students in the experimental class for the five indicators that being analyze was higher than the ability of students in the control class. A fairly high difference in the indicator showed in give a simple explanation and concluding. and it means that the application of Concept-Based Learning Model significantly influences the  abilities  of students' mathematics critical thinking.

Implementation of Curriculum 2013 requires students to learn actively, independently, and critical thinking. Critical thinking is an activity through thinking about ideas related to concepts or problems. The efforts to improve critical thinking skills of learners can be done by using the appropriate learning model. One of the learning models that can be used to improve the ability of critical thinking is a problem-based learning model. This type of research is quasi experiment with randomized control-group pretest posttest design. The sample of this research choosed by used purposive sampling method. Class VIII6 as experimental class and class VIII4 as control class. Data of this research result are quantitative data of critical thinking ability. Data were analyzed by using t test. The results showed that the mean difference of posttest value with pretest value of critical thinking ability of experimental class learners is higher than control class. Hypothesis testing with t-test obtained tcalculate=2,94>ttable= 1,67, then H1 accepted. Based on these results the authors conclude that the implementation of problem-based learning model has a positive effect on the ability to think critically learners on the material additives and addictive substances.

The purpose of this research is to know the influence of biology teaching through inquiry integrated with cooperative towards the critical thinking ability. This research addresses the role of inquiry and cooperative learning strategy as well as these interactions towards the increase of the critical thinking ability. Quasi experimental research of Pretest-postest nonequivalent control group design with factorial design 2x2x2 were implemented on the odd semester in academic years of 2006/2007  on X grade student of the state SMA in Metro City Lampung. The  research sample consists of 96 students, comprising of student from high and low academic abilities. To examine hypothesis, it is used Ancova technique and continued by LSD test. There was a difference on the critical thinking ability  between students who learn by inquiry level 1 with student who learn by inquiry level 2, between students, who have high academic ability and students who have low academic ability, and there was not difference on the critical thinking ability  between students who learn by STAD cooperative  with student who learn by TPS. There is no effect of interaction between inquiry with cooperative, inquiry with student’s academic ability, cooperative with student’s academic ability, inquiry with cooperative and student’s academic ability towards the cognitive achievement Kata kunci: cooperative learning, inquiry, berpikir kritis

<p class="AbstractEnglish"><strong>Abstract:</strong> This study aims to determine the interaction/influence of the application of the project based Double Loop Problem Solving learning model in improving Critical Thinking Skill and student Interpersonal Skill. This research is in the form of quantitative research and the sample used in this study is one class taken using Saturated Sampling techniques. The research class was treated using a project-based Double Loop Problem Solving learning model. The independent variable in this study is a project based Double Loop Problem Solving learning model, while the dependent variable is Critical Thinking Skill and student Interpersonal Skill. There are 2 kinds of data analysis techniques, namely data analysis techniques about Critical Thinking Skills and data analysis techniques about student Interpersonal Skills. The analysis of the hypothesis test of this study used the T-Test with a significance level of 5%. T-Test Criteria are as follows, Ho is accepted / H1 is rejected if T count is smaller than T table and Ho is rejected / H1 is accepted if T count is greater than T table. From the results of the TT-test for the first dependent variable Critical Thinking Skill T count = 18.77 and T table = 1.782, because T count is greater than T table, Ho1 is rejected, meaning that there is interaction/influence on the implementation of project based Double Loop Problem Solving learning model in improving Critical Thinking Skill. While the results of the T test for the Interpersonal Skill dependent variable obtained T count = 12.33 with T table = 1.782, because T count is greater than T table, Ho2 is rejected, meaning that there is interaction / influence on the application of Double Loop Problem Solving based learning models to improve Student Interpersonal Skills.</p><p class="AbstractEnglish"><strong>Abstrak:</strong> Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui interaksi/pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran <em>Double Loop Problem Solving </em>berbasis<em> project</em> dalam meningkatkan <em>Critical Thinking Skill</em> dan <em>Interpersonal Skill</em> mahasiswa. Teknik analisis data ada 2 macam yaitu teknik analisa data tentang <em>Critical Thinking Skill</em> dan teknik analisa data tentang <em>Interpersonal Skill</em> mahasiswa. Analisis uji hipotesis penelitian ini menggunakan  Uji-T dengan taraf signifikan 5 %. Kriteria Uji-T adalah sebagai berikut, Ho diterima/H1 ditolak jika T hitung lebih kecil dari T tabel dan Ho ditolak/H1 diterima jika T hitung lebih besar dari T tabel.
