<p><em>The increasing number of vehicles every year provides opportunities to vehicles service. Vehicle components that often serviced or overhaul is the valve mechanism. How to remove the valve from the cylinder head generally use a manual valve remove tool. The time required to remove the valve using the tools need a long time. Effort to overcome these problems is to modify the existing valve remove mechanism. The purpose of this research is to design and test the performance of valve remove using lever mechanism. Performance test was conducted to determine the press force value to remove the valve, the percentage increase performance and time to remove the valve. The main components of the valve remove tool using the lever mechanism is frame, table, pole support, locking, hand grips, hydraulic, lever pusher and shaft sled. Testing using the valve mechanism is contained in the cylinder head Toyota Kijang 4K. The valve remove tool design has a simple form, easy to make, cheap, but has very good performance. The smallest of the press force to remove the valve is 129 N obtained at a distance of lock and poles support as far as 22 cm. The valve remove tool using the lever mechanism was design can remove the valve from the cylinder head in time 26,17 seconds/valve or 418,67 seconds to remove 16 valves on the cylinder head. This tool is able to improve the performance of manual valve remove tool screw type by 76,28%, and can improve the performance valve remove tool the pneumatic system by 65,79%.</em></p>

Background: Although DC Bead has been useful in treatment of multiple and large hepatocellular carcinoma, loading time of doxorubicin into the DC Bead takes a long time of 30-120 minutes. Epirubicin is also used as an antitumor agent together with DC Bead, but its loading efficiency was not sufficiently elucidated. Methods: To shorten loading time of epirubicin into DC Bead (100-300µm, 300-500µm, 500-700µm), we examined the following three methods after mixing the drug: (a) let stand in room temperature, (b) agitated for 30 seconds with Vortex mixer, and (c) sonicated for 30 seconds with ultrasonic cleaner. After loading of epirubicin by each method, supernatant concentration for epirubicin was assayed at 5, 10, 30, 60, and 120 minutes. Results: Epirubicin loading rates for small bead (100-300µm) at 5 minutes were 82.9 % in group a, 93.8% in group b, and 79.9 % in group c. Similarly, medium bead (300-500µm), 40.1% in group a, 65.7% in group b and 45.5% in group c, respectively. In large-sized bead (500-700µm), loaded rates of epirubicin were 38.8% in group a, 59.0% in group b and 48.0% in group c. Agitation of mixture of epirubicin and DC Bead with Vortex mixer significantly shortened the loading time, but sonication did not affect the time required. Microscopic examination did not lead to any morphological change of microspheres in all the methods. Conclusions: Short time of agitation with Vortex mixer reduced the necessary time for loading of epirubicin in every standard of DC Bead.

Development in the current development sector has grown rapidly, in this development we can see a good potential to be developed, namely the development of bricks with good quality compared to using red bricks which production takes a long time. Batako is an alternative that can be used in the construction of a building, because currently the price of red brick is quite high because the production cost is quite expensive. Besides, the price of firewood used for cooking red brick is getting difficult. Meanwhile, the demand for brick gradually increased because brick was one of the main components in building construction. So it needs to be developed in making brick blocks because the time is relatively short in the drying process. Therefore the community service team made a brick making machine with a vibration system for compaction and a faster production process in brick making using a machine that has been made, so that it can increase partner income, who previously produced 120 pieces with a manual system using a machine that could produce 500 pieces of brick per day.

Second World War tourism in France includes two main components: tourism by the Germans and French during the war and memory tourism to war sites thereafter. Contrary to what is often assumed, tourism in France did not stop with the war. Thousands of German military personnel were given tours in occupied France and French civilians continued to take vacations as well. Many turned out with tourist gazes to watch General de Gaulle march down the Champs-Élysées at the time of the Liberation and sites frequently acquired new significance as in Normandy where Arromanches changed from a spa village to a war tourist destination. Based on French and German archival materials, memoirs, films, the press, and personal interviews, this book addresses the conflicts and competition between the 19th and early 20th century French tourism narratives and the German-dominated tourism version of the Second World War that replaced it, followed by the Gaullist/Resistance accounts after 1944. Although the Germans hardly treated the French kindly during the war, France was not relegated to the position of occupied Poland. Paris was spared the fate of Warsaw during the war. Postwar memory tourists brought home memories of Normandy and other sites that informed their own understandings of war. Narratives changed but war tourism remains a significant contributor to the French economy.

Prospects for democracy in Iraq should be assessed in light of the historical precedents of nations with comparable political experiences. Saddam Hussein's Iraq was an unusually extreme autocracy, which lasted an unusually long time. Since the end of the nineteenth century, only thirty nations have experienced an autocracy as extreme as Iraq's for a period exceeding two decades. The subsequent political experience of those nations offers a pessimistic forecast for Iraq and similar nations. Only seven of the thirty are now democratic, and only two of them have become established democracies; the democratic experiments in the other five are still in progress. Among the seven, the average time required to transit the path from extreme autocracy to coherent, albeit precarious, democracy has been fifty years, and only two have managed this transition in fewer than twenty-five years. Even this sober assessment is probably too optimistic, because Iraq lacks the structural conditions that theory and evidence indicate have been necessary for successful democratic transitions in the past. Thus, the odds of Iraq achieving democracy in the next quarter century are close to zero, at best about two in thirty, but probably far less.

Abstract Most articles made from elastic substances are intended for service under dynamic conditions. Static methods of investigation are clearly insufficient for determining the behavior of elastic substances under dynamic conditions and therefore there has for a long time been a need for dynamic tests. In recent years several dynamic tests have been developed, and a number of investigations of elastic properties under dynamic conditions have been published. The works of Frumkin, Roelig, Kosten, Naunton and Waring and other investigators have established a series of relations in the behavior of elastic substances under dynamic conditions. However, the limited intervals of frequency and temperature in these experiments gave relations of peculiar character and even led to contradictions. Thus Naunton and Waring showed that, under dynamic conditions (at high frequencies), automobile tire casings act as solid hoops and, according to Roelig and Kosten, the relation between modulus and frequency, though still existing, is of relatively little importance. The development of a concept of the mechanism of highly elastic deformation, and in particular the disclosure of relaxation made it possible for Kornfel'd and Poznyak and Mikhai˘lov and Kirilina to demonstrate experimentally the existence of a more general law relating the phenomena. However, in their experiments, the frequency in both cases changed within narrow limits, and consequently these investigations too do not give a general picture of the behavior of elastic materials in relation to the frequency of deformation and temperature. The idea of highly elastic deformation, as well as that of relaxation, comes down to the fact that the magnitudes of the deformations observed depend on the relation between the time of action of the force and the time required for regrouping of the particles in the substance during the deformation.

The main schemes of architectonics, which is a structural base of television action, general outward form of construction and interrelation of its parts, their correlation to each other are determined. The pattern of application of archetypical principle of human perception of stories from Aristotle’s first works to use of communication technologies of proportionality of journalist’s text construction by contemporary TV reporters and screenwriters are researched. The novelty of the study is in an attempt to segregate clearly the notions of script composition from architectonics, the essence of difference of priority of the rhythm category namely for architectonics. The objective of the study is to determine the basic schemes of architectonics which is the structural basis of television action, the general appearance and interrelation of its parts, their correlation with each other. Such empirical research methods as observation, abstraction and analysis have been applied. The result of the study was the analysis of television scripts of various programs, definition of main components of architectonics – its beginning, middle and end parts, as well as presentation of structural diagrams of script architectonics. It is emphasized that the action in the scenario should be organized in such way that the dramatic tension curve and the viewer interest curve are being evenly raised from the beginning to the end of the spectacle. The scenario construction of a record-breaking press-marathon with the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi that took place on October 10, 2019 in the capital of Ukraine at Kyiv Food Market was first studied in the scientific literature.

Indonesian farmers used to utilize crank to turn on hand tractor machine till today. It may make operators weariness and potentially raised work accident. The purpose of this study was to design a portable electric starter for hand tractor machine. Moreover, the study was addressed to evaluate the performance of the design. The minimum rotational speed (n) and initial torque (T) in decompression and non decompression conditions were adopted to calculate the minimum power (P) requirement. The minumum power of decompression and non decompression were 572.78 watts (≈ 0.74 hp) and 841.75 watts (≈ 1.09 hp), respectively. These values used as a reference in determining the main components, namely the wet type 12 volt battery and the serial type direct current starter motor. The next step, set up additional components, transmission mechanism, as well as concept of portable electric starter. The design was realized by construction and assembly process. A performance test was carried out on the prototype. The performance test of non decompression showed 1.88 seconds for working time, 264.56 Joules for workload (operator), 363.20 rpm for rotating speed and 0.68 watt hours for power requirement. Overall, application portable electric starter indicated better performance than crank. This study proved a high preference of operator on application of portable electric starter in decompression conditions.
