Giving excessive workloads causes work stress both physically and psychologically and emotional reactions. The excess workload experienced by drivers and swampers at PT XYZ results in reduced attention at work, decreased work motivation, and decreased skill levels, thus affecting drivers and swampers productivity and the chance of a work accident is very high. This study aims to measure the Mental Workload of Job Driver and Swampers Fuel Tank Using the NASA-TLX Method. The NASA-TLX score obtained 93.8, driver 2  get 83.7, driver 3  91.3, swamper 1  91, swamper 2 89.5, and swamper 3 94.7. Elements of mental workload that are very influential are Mental Demand with a percentage of 22%, Effort 20%, Physical Demand 18%, Own Performance 15%, Frustation Level 15% and Temporal Demand 12%.

This paper brings to the fore the need to study the causality of work accidents starting from the hypothesis that the causes must be identified immediately, respectively the dysfunctions of the work system, which contribute to their occurrence. So, in the causal chain of the work accident, the last link is the “meeting” between the victim and the material agent who injures her, and often the factors of the work system, which are potential causes of injury, are specific to the worker and represent an error inappropriate behaviour in terms of occupational safety, in the form of wrongdoing or omissions. In this regard, cognitive ergonomics is still an untapped area, although it can make significant contributions to improving work performance and creating safe and healthy working environments in industry. Cognitive functions are relevant when we talk about 4 essential skills of the worker, respectively: sensation and perception, attention, short and long term memory. The paper brings more information for the scientific community because the analysis highlights the link between the cognitive functions of workers and the errors generated by them in the dynamics of a work accident, and can also be a starting point for new research.

Risk is the possibility of the occurrence of an event outside of which every activity that is likely to be detrimental is carried out by humans. In the Nangarasong Steel Frame construction project in Flores district, there is uncertainty which will create a risk that can encourage the project and can affect the potential for work accidents. Uncertainty factors can cause risk in an activity that has an impact on decreasing labor productivity, risk of cost, time, and damage to design or technology. To reduce these adverse impacts, a risk management system is needed, which includes analysis, analysis, and monitoring of risks that may occur. Risk management makes an integrated effort to manage the risk of work accidents by using the FMEA (Failure Mode And Effect Analysis) method. All construction projects that may experience accident risks are identified and analyzed for the severity with FMEA, from the results of which the causes and impacts of the work accident risks will be sought. After knowing and the impact of the risk of work accidents, the next action on the risk of work accidents that result.

Tobacco farmers are individuals who are members of farming groups engaged in the cultivation of the agricultural sector in the form of tobacco. When carrying out tobacco cultivation activities, farmers are vulnerable to work accidents. The purpose of this research was to describe the characteristics of work accidents on tobacco farmers in Kalisat District, Jember Regency. The research design used descriptive quantitative. This research employed a purposive sampling technique, with a total of 97 tobacco farmers as respondents. The research data were collected through a demographic questionnaire and a work accident accident questionnaire.  In the type indicator, it was found that 43.3% farmers often experienced incidents of being hit by immovable objects. In the object indicator, 36.1% farmers often experience accidents due to work equipment. In the indicator of the nature of the wound 26.8% farmers often experienced minor injuries and 9.3% stated that they always experienced these incidents. In the indicator of the location of the wound, farmers often experienced injuries on the hands, namely 36.1%. In the cause indicator, 66.0% farmers stated that they rarely use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). According to the results of this study, work accidents among tobacco farmers in Kalisat District are still highly prevalent. This research will be utilized as a preventative and assessment tool for public health center in the application of UKK and for PPL to develop outreach activities in order to reduce the number of work accidents.   Keywords: agricultural; tobacco farmer; work accidents; descriptive

This study was carried out to make a holistic evaluation on the occupational health and safety (OHS) of fisheries and aquaculture sector with its subsectors and to reveal the actual situation of fisheries and aquaculture sector by comparing relevant OHS statistics reported in Turkey. Annual average of accidents in the fisheries and aquaculture sector was found to be 312 (± 147.6), of which 2.14 (± 1.57) resulted in permanent incapacity and 1.57 (± 1.51) of them with fatality. While general incidence rate, fatal incidence rate, permanent incapacity incidence rate and work accident frequency rate were calculated as 2211.8 (±574) 103.6 (±13.4), 5.88 (±2.41) ve 8.36 (±1.93), these values for fisheries and aquaculture sector were determined to be 3579.1 (±1549.3) 175.65 (±152.34), 240.67 (154.62) ve 13.65 (±5.84), respectively. In 2019, the fatal accident rate in Turkey was found to be 0.27% in general, 0.34% in the mining sector, 0.77% in construction and 0.80% in transportation. This ratio was calculated as 1% in the fisheries and aquaculture sector. It was determined that there were more work accidents and fatal incidents in fisheries and aquaculture activities in the seas than in fresh water. Difference between number of work accidents and the duration of temporary incapacity as a result of work accidents in fisheries and aquaculture activities in marine and fresh waters were also significant (p<0.05). Number of fatal accidents in aquaculture sector was found to be more than 4 times than in fisheries. It was determined that the all types of incident rates, work accident frequency rates and fatality rates per work accident in fisheries and aquaculture sector were higher than that of Turkey in general. Evaluation of occupational accidents in the fisheries and aquaculture activity was found to be riskier than expected. Although some evaluations and suggestions are put forward to reduce the number of accidents and the severity of these accidents, a systematic and legislative approach will be more effective. Therefore, it would be a suitable approach to raise the hazard classes of fisheries and aquaculture economic activity to the “very dangerous” class. In this way, the training period of the sector employees on occupational risks and the titles and numbers of OHS professionals working in the sector will be increased, a more qualified specialization will be realized, and control and audit activities will be more frequent.

This entry traces past and present trends in the institutional development of income transfers in the case of work accident and sickness. The focus is mainly on OECD or European countries, but in some instances, references are made to a wider array of countries or continents. The entry begins with a review of the history of work accident insurance; in most countries, this was the first social insurance programme to be created. The history of this early programme highlights a number of factors behind the development of later programmes. The latter part of the entry focuses on sickness insurance. Again, we begin with historical developments, focusing in particular on the universalism and generosity of benefits. We then move on to discuss the extent to which sickness benefits have, in recent years, been targets for retrenchment. The final section tentatively discusses future trajectories of these two income maintenance programmes.

This research discusses the Analysis of Work Accidents with FMEA and FTA Methods in the Production Section of PT. YYY Lampung Plant. The purpose of this study is to determine the risk factors that cause work accidents, types of work accidents, work accident rates, and the root causes of work accidents in the production department. This research is a quantitative descriptive study with data analysis using FMEA and FTA methods. The data collection method used primary data in the form of work accident data and secondary data in the form of questionnaires to 50 employees. The results showed that the risk factors for work accidents exist in 5 production process activities, namely in the process of selecting raw materials, cutting, weighing, product formation, and finishing. The types of work accidents that often occur are pinched, crushed, sliced, and hit the body, while the highest accident rate with an RPN value of 350.6 is pinched in the finishing process. The results of this RPN value indicate that the number of work accidents is a very high number (> 200). And the root cause of work accidents based on Fault Tree Analysis on work accidents in the form of being squeezed with a RPN value of 350.6 caused by lack of concentration, employees not feeling well, sleepy workers, and limited (narrow) work space. Based on these data, it can be concluded that the level of work accidents should receive special attention.
