Peanut is one of the plants that are widely cultivated by farmers. Biotic and abiotic stresses are one of the barriers to peanut productivity. The biotic attack of the whitefly Bemisia tabaci infestation on peanuts impacts the performance of the plant itself. The purpose of this study was to determine the performance of peanut plants after being attacked by whiteflies.The research was carried out in 2019 using 10 peanut genotypes arranged according to a completely randomized design and repeated three times. The research plants were infested with whitefly and then observed several characters, including the number of flowers, number of gynophores, number of branches, number of roots, root length, plant height, number and weight of pods, number and weight of seeds, and crop yield index. The results showed that the groundnut infested with whitefly contained sooty dew as a direct insect attack. The population and sooty dew caused the number of flowers and branches to be low, the value of the number of dry pods and dry pod weight was low, the dry seed weight was low, and the crop harvest index was also low.

ABSTRACT This study aimed to evaluate the effect of applying increasing doses of biofertilizer obtained by the anaerobic digestion of cassava effluent on the development of crambe plants. The experiment was conducted in a protected environment at the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR), Palotina Sector, between April and August 2015. A completely randomized design was used, and five different treatments with the following doses were applied in five replicates: 0, 40, 80, 120, and 160 kg ha-1 of K2O. The following parameters related to plant development were evaluated: final height, stem diameter, number of branches, dry shoot and root biomass, mass of the grains, and oil content. The 160 kg K2O ha-1 dose was found to have the best influence on the plant development, because all the measured parameters reached their highest values at this dose, except for oil content, which attained the highest percentage in the case of the control treatment (0 kg ha-1 of K2O). This study proved that the biofertilizer obtained by anaerobic digestion of cassava effluent can be used as an alternative to regular fertilizers in cultivating crambe.

<p>Green beans are legume plants that are in great demand because of their high nutrition content and include plants that require boron to support growth from the vegetative to generative phase. The study aims to assess the growth and production of green beans due to influence of the dose and time of boron application. The research was carried out using completely randomized design with factorial pattern 3×3 with 3 replications. The first factor was the treatment of boron doses of 1, 1.5, and 2 kg/ha was given once at 7 Day After Planting (DAP), fertilizer application twice at 7 and 28 DAP, and once given at 28 DAP. The results showed that dose of boron at a dose of 1 kg/ha was able to produce the number of affective root nodules and the best pod weight. The treatment of boron once at 7 DAP can increase plant height, flowering age, pod weight, and seed weight per pod. The interaction between dose and time of boron application affects the number of affective root nodules and seed weight per pod.</p>

<p>Mungbean is one of the strategic annual food crops that needed by Indonesian people because of the high protein and minerals. Production of mungbean in Indonesia always decreases. Cultural improvements are needed to increase productivity i.e by appropriate fertilization and plant density. The experiment objective was to find out the optimum dosage of organic fertilizer and plant density for the growth and yield of mungbean. The experiment was carried out using factorial completely randomized design (CRD). The first factor treatments were organic fertilizer which consisted of 0, 5, 10, 15, and 20 ton ha<sup>-1</sup>, while the second-factor treatments were planted density which consisted of 1 and 2 plants in the hole. Organic fertilizer of 5 ton ha<sup>-1</sup> gave the best result for plant height, number of branches, flowering age, number of pods, fresh weight and dried straw, weight of 100 seeds, number and weight of seeds, small of seeds number and P nutrient uptake of the plant. The 2 plants per hole gave the best result for branches number, pods number and number of small seeds. Application of 5 ton ha<sup>-1</sup> organic fertilizer and 1 plant per hole gave better yield. No interaction of organic fertilizer and plant density to mungbean growth and yield.</p>

This study aims to determine the effect of soursop leaf flour, lemongrass flour, kenikir leaf flour, lime leaf flour, and kluwih leaf flour on: 1) mortality, 2) damage to seeds, 3) shrinkage of seed weight, 4) appearance of adult C. analysts on soybean seeds in deposits and 5) laying eggs of C. analis imago female eggs, 6) probit analysis LT50. The experiment was carried out using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD). As treatments are: A) controls; B) soursop leaf flour in doses of 1 g, 2 g, and 3 g; C) Serai leaf flour with doses of 1 g, 2 g, and 3 g; D) kenikir leaf flour with doses of 1 g, 2 g, and 3 g; E) lime leaf flour with doses of 1 g, 2 g, and 3 g; and F) kluwih leaf flour with doses of 1 g, 2 g, and 3 g. Each treatment uses five replications. The observed parameters were analyzed by "F" test variance then if it was significantly different to find out the difference in the effect of treatment, an Tukey HSD Test was conducted at a level of 5% distrust. The best mortality results using the treatment of soursop leaf flour dose 3 g on 5 days amounted to 1.80 tails; 1 month is 6.60; 2 months totaling 13.40; and 3 months totaling 11.20. The results of the observation of the number of eggs produced by C. analis the best analyst was the treatment of soursop leaf flour dose 3 g on 5 days amounting to 139 items, 1 month 119.20 items; 2 months 91.20 items; and 3 months 72.20 items. The best imago observation results were treatment of soursop leaf flour dose 3 g at 1 month amounting to 132.20 tails; while at 2 months there were 79 heads. The best observation of seed damage and shrinkage of seed weight was the treatment of soursop leaf flour with a dose of 3 g, in the damage of seeds of 67.40 grains of seed damage; while the seed weight is reduced by 17.94 g. The results of the best analysis of Probit LT50 were treatment of soursop leaf flour with a dose of 3 g because it could kill 50% of the population C. analis with a relatively short time were 9 days after treatment.

This study was aimed to determine the effect of dosage of  cow manure and, dolomite on the growth and production of long  beans. This research was conducted in experimental field of Agroteknologi Department of Djuanda University Bogor. The study was prepared according to Completely Randomized Design (RAL), factorial. The first factor was the dose of cow manure according to recommendation consisting of 4 levels: 0R, 0.5 R, 1R, and 1.5R . The second factor is the recommended dolomite consisting of 4 levels: 0R, 0.5 R, 1R, and 1.5 R.  The results showed that the average height of the plant at age 6 MST, the number of leaves 4 MST and 6 MST, the number of flowers and the amount of fruit 6 MST, wet fruit weight of 3rd fruit harvest, dry weight of stem aged 8 MST influenced by cow manure.  While plant 4 MST, number of leaves 4,6 and 8 MST, number of branches 4, 6 and 8 MST, 6.8 MST of flowers and number of fruit 6,8 MST, weight lenghtof fruit harvest to-1, wet fruit weight of whole harvest 1st, dry weight of 3rd harvest, wet weight of stem, dry weight of stem, wet weight of root influenced by dolomite.Keywords: Long beans, plant height, the amount of fruit, fruit weight

A pot experiment was carried out in the grill house of the Department of Seed Science and Technology, Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU), Mymensingh during the period of mid December 2014 to mid April 2015. The experiment conducted with five treatments (five tomato genotypes) and employed in Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with four replications. Of the five genotypes two were obtained Japan (Pasta and Mimi) and the rest three from Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute (BARI). Genetic variations appeared for morphological and phenological characters and yield attributes in the five tomato genotypes. Taller plants with higher number of branches were observed in the Japanese genotype (Mimi) while number of days required to initiate flower and fruit initiation and fruit maturity were shorter in BARI tomato 12 and BARI tomato 14. Flower and fruit productions plant-1 was higher in BARI released tomato cultivars, therefore, the tomato yield was also higher in those cultivars.Res. Agric., Livest. ABSTRACT The invasive behavior of beggarticks (Bidens pilosa L.) in cropped areas is due to its ecological adaptation and aggressive regeneration, which is dependent on seed germination. The objective of this research was to verify the effects of B. pilosa seed origin and temperature on seed germination. The seeds were collected in Entre Rios do Oeste, PR, Botucatu, SP, Capão Bonito, SP, São Joaquim da Barra, SP, Sertãozinho, SP, Selvíria, MS, Barra do Garças, MT, Areia, PB and Manaus, AM. The seeds were evaluated regarding moisture content, 1000-seed weight, germination speed index and germination at 60 days (normal seedlings, dormant seeds and dead seeds) at the temperatures of 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, and 45 ºC. The replicates were distributed according to a completely randomized design in a 9 x 8 factorial arrangement (seed origin x temperature) with four replicates. The means were compared by the Scott-Knott test. B. pilosa seeds germination depends on seed origin. Temperatures higher than 35 ºC are lethal to the seeds. The temperature of 15 ºC allows maximum germination in the shortest time whichever the seed origin.

<p>This study was aimed to determine the effect of fertilizer dose combination of N, P, and K on growth and yield of peanut on Alfisols dryland. The experiment was conducted from April to September 2014 in Sukosari Village, Jumantono, Karanganyar with 3 factor completely randomized design arranged N (Urea) fertilizer dose (50,100,150) kg ha<sup>-1</sup>, P (SP-36) fertilizer dose (100,200,300) kg ha<sup>-1</sup> and K (ZK) fertilizer dose (75,150,225) kg ha<sup>-1</sup>. Statistical analysis using F test 5% followed by DMRT with 95% confidence level. The parameters observed were wet and dry weight of plant per sample, number of filled pods per sample, weight of pods per sample, and weight of dry seed per sample. Fertilizer dose combination of N, P and K significantly affect on dry weight. Fertilizer dose combination N and P significantly affect on number of filled pods and weight of pods per sample. Combination of P and K fertilizers significantly affect on dry seed weight. N fertilizer dose significantly affect on weight of dry seed per sample. The best fertilizer dose combination is P<sub>3</sub>K<sub>3</sub> treatment (300 kg ha<sup>-1</sup> and 225 kg ha<sup>-1</sup>) that can increased 57 % weight of dry seed if compared with recommendation dose.</p>

Abstract Turi (Sesbania grandiflora) is a multi-purpose plant, including leaves for animal feed, flowers for human food and wood for wood pellets. Eco enzyme is produced from the fermentation of fruits containing enzymes and organic acids. The application of Eco enzyme, among others as biocatalist to improve plant productivity. This paper aims to study dilution of Eco Enzym which was applied to Turi plants to increase its productivity This study used a completely randomized design, namely: T1: Eco enzyme dilution 1: 100; T2: 1: 200; T3: 1: 300 whereas there were 5 replications. Parameters were plant height, stem diameter, number of branches, leaf width and number of flowers. The results of this research were that the parameters of plant height, leaf of width, number of flowers had significant effect by the 1:100 dilution treatment (p<0,05). However, there was no significant effect on stem diameter and and the number of branches. The best response to eco enzyme was 1: 100.

ABSTRACThis study aims to find the most potent combination of local microorganisms as a liquidbiofertilizer on marginal land, such as peatland. The study used Completely Randomized Design onpeat soil media in polybags, with 8 (eight) treatments and 4 (four) replicates, namely liquidbiofertilizer composition comprising a group of local microorganisms: 1) KHY, 2) IBT, 3) KHY +IBT, 4) KHY + IGT, 5) IBT + IGT, 6) KHY + IBT + IGT, 7) EM4 (Control +), 8) Aquadest(Controls -). The variables observed were plant height, number of leaves, number of branches,number of flowers of soybean crop. The results showed that the composition of the liquidbiofertilizer EM4 gave the best results on the parameters of plant height, the number of leaves, thenumber of branches, and the amount of flowers on soybean plants tested in peat soil media. Thecombined composition of local microorganisms KHY + IBT + IGT containing bacterial populationsof phosphate solvent, nitrogen-fixing bacteria, and cellulitic fungi, are still in the same group asEM4 in the treatment of the number of leaves and the number of plant flowers, therefore thecomposition of these potential local microorganisms is developed to become a liquid biofertilizerKeywords: Liquid Biofertilizer, Soybean Growth, Peat Land
