The objective of the research is to find out the student's priority skill of English needs by the eleventh grade students of SMK Toraja Wisata. This research employed non-experimental design. The population of this research was the eleventh grade students of SMK Toraja Wisata academic year 2015/2016, there were 20 students as a population and divided into two department are Perhotelan and Kesehatan department, the sample of the research was the students of Perhotelan department, the researcher used random sampling technique with the numbers of sample was 10 students of Perhotelan department from the eleventh grade students and the writer used one only instrument, namely questionnaire. The result of data analysis collected through the questionnaire showed that from the15 items questionnaire, there are 12 items which speaking occupy the first priority with average value: for questionnaire 1 until 6 with average values 4.50 was important, 4.70, 4.60, 4.50, 4.80 and 4.75 were very important. In the questionnaire 7 and 8 speaking not occupy the first priority because listening and reading occupy the first priority with the average value of 4.70 was very important, and questionnaire 8 with average value 4.60 was very important. Then questionnaire 9 until 12 with average values 4.55 of 4.80, 4.70 were very important, and 4.10 were important. Next questionnaire 13 speaking also not occupy the first priority because listening is occupy the first priority with average value of 4.70 was very important. And the last questionnaire 14 and 15 speaking occupy the first priority with average values 4.90 and 4.90 were very important classification. Based on the data analysis above, it is inferred that the student's priority skill of English needs by the eleventh grade students at SMK Toraja Wisata is speaking.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh yang signifikan metode bermain peran terhadap peningkatan keterampilan berbicara pada anak kelompok A TK Handayani I Denpasar Barat Tahun Ajaran 2018/2019. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah pre-eksperimen dengan desain ekperimen yang digunakan adalah one group pretest-posttest. Teknik sampling yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu Sampling Jenuh karena dalam penelitian ini semua anggota populasi digunakan sebagai sampel. Hal ini dilakukan karena jumlah populasi relatif kecil, yaitu kurang dari 30 orang. Jadi, sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah sama dengan populasinya yaitu anak Kelompok A TK Handayani I Denpasar Barat dengan jumlah anak sebanyak 25 anak. Data keterampilan anak dikumpulkan dengan instrument non test. Analisis dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan uji t. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata pretest sebesar 30,80 sedangkan nilai rata-rata posttest sebesar 86,36. hasil dari analisis data yang diperoleh dari nilai thitung yaitu sebesar 73,97. pada ttabel dengan kriteria signifikasi 5% dengan dk=24 yang menunjukkan nilai ttabel 2,064 berdasarkan hasil dari analisis tersebut, maka keterampilan berbicara anak menunjukkan nilai thitung 73,97 > ttabel 2,064. maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa yaitu terdapat pengaruh signifikan metode bermain peran terhadap keterampilan berbicara pada anak kelompok A TK Handayani I Denpasar Barat Tahun Ajaran 2018/2019. berdasarkan hasil dari simpulan penelitian tersebut maka dapat disarankan kepada peneliti lain agar dapat menggunakan metode pembelajaran yang yang meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara pada anak. Jadi dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode bermain peran berpengaruh terhadap keterampilan berbicara kelompok A TK. Handayani I Denpasar Barat Tahun Ajaran 2018/2019.Kata Kunci : metode bermain peran, peningkatan keterampilan This study discusses the importance of learning methods to play a role in improving speaking skills in group A Denpasar Barat Handayani I Kindergarten Academic Year 2018/2019. The type of research used was pre-experiment with the experimental design used was one group of pretest-posttest. The sampling technique used in this study is Saturated Sampling because in this study all research members were used as samples. This is done because the number of participation is relatively small, which is less than 30 people. So, the sample in this study is the same as the population of children in Group A of Denpasar Barat Handayani I Kindergarten with 25 children. Child skills data are collected with non-test instruments through collection, scores. the results of this study show the average pretest value of 30.80 while the posttest average value is 86.36. the results of data analysis obtained from the value of tcount which is equal to 73.97. in t table with 5% significance criteria with dk = 24 which shows 2.0t ttable value based on the results of the analysis, then the children's speaking skills assess the tcount> t table. So it can be denied that this is the method that is played. Play kindergarten towards speaking skills in group children. Handayani I TK Denpasar Barat Academic Year 2018/2019. Based on the results of the conclusions of this study, it can be approved for other researchers to be able to use learning methods that improve speaking skills in children.keyword : method of role playing, improvement of speaking skills

The Errors made by students in completed math problems can be indicators of the low learning achievements. Based on these problems, this study aim to know the categories of errors and the relation or correlations of the types of errors each Polya's steps in solving the material story of system two linear equations students all grade VIII of SMP Negeri 13 Mataram academic year 2019/2020. The population in this study was all student grade VIII of SMP Negeri 13 Mataram. Samples used the Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling technique. Data collection used test essai and interview which had beenvalidated. Error categories were analyzed used interval categories of error levels and for the relation or correlations between types of errors used the Pearson product moment correlation. The results showed that students mistakes for high abilities in the low category, for the medium abilities in the high category and for the low ability level in the high category. Based on data analysis it was found three categories relationships types of errors : namely, sufficient, strong and very strong categories. The level of relationship strong enough for this type of error to understand the problem and formulate a plan, misunderstanding the problem and carrying out the plan, misunderstanding the problem and re-checking. Level of strong links to types of mistakes Arranging plans and executing plans, mistakes compiling plans and re-checking. The level relationship very strong for type error implementing the plan by checking again. When completed a problem should be solved systematically in stages to avoid mistakes that will be made at a later stage.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode bercerita berbantuan boneka tangan terhadap perilaku empati anak kelompok B TK Nirartha 1 Benoa Tahun Ajaran 2018/2019. Perilaku empati adalah kemampuan seorang individu dalam mengerti, mengenal, merasakan dan merespon perasaan yang dirasakan orang lain. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pra-eksperiment dengan rancangan yang digunakan adalah Intact Group comparison. Populasi pada penlitian ini berjumlah 5 kelas.. Penentuan sampel yaitu dengan menggunakan teknik random sampling. Sampel yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu kelompok B1 sebagai kelompok eksperimen dengan jumlah anak sebanyak 21 anak dan kelompok B5 sebagai kelompok kontrol dengan jumlah anak sebanyak 20 anak Pada kelompok eksperimen dibelajarkan dengan metode bercerita berbantuan boneka tangan sedangkan pada kelompok kontrol dibelajarkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode observasi. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan uji-t. Hasil analisis diperoleh thitung = 6,27 pada taraf signifikansi 5% dengan dk 39 diperoleh ttabel = 2,021 sehingga thitung 6,27 > ttabel = 2,021. Berdasarkan kriteria pengujian, maka H0 ditolak. Adapun nilai rata-rata perilaku empati pada kelompok anak yang dibelajarkan dengan metode bercerita berbantuan boneka tangan adalah 79,37 sedangkan pada kelompok anak yang dibelajarkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional adalah 63,64. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode bercerita berbantuan boneka tangan dapat berpengaruh terhadap perilaku empati pada anak kelompok B TK Nirartha 1 Benoa Tahun Ajaran 2018/2019. Berdasarkan simpulan tersebut, maka disarankan kepada guru agar menciptakan suasana belajar yang efektif dan menyenangkan dengan menerapkan strategi pembelajaran yang inovatif agar perilaku empati anak meningkat.Kata Kunci : perilaku empati, metode bercerita berbantuan boneka tangan, anak usia dini This study aims to determine the effect of hand puppet-assisted storytelling methods on the behavior of empathy for group B TK Nirartha 1 Benoa Academic Year 2018/2019. Empathy behavior is the ability of an individual to understand, recognize, feel and respond to feelings felt by others. This research is a pre-experiment research with the design used is Intact Group comparison. The population in this study is 5 classes. Determination of the sample is by using random sampling technique. The sample used in this study is group B1 as an experimental group with a total of 21 children and group B5 as a control group with a number of children as many as 20 children. Data collection is done using the observation method. The data obtained were analyzed using the t-test. The results of the analysis obtained thitung = 6.27 at a significance level of 5% with dk 39 obtained t table = 2.021 so that tcount 6.27> t table = 2.021. Based on the testing criteria, H0 is rejected. The average value of empathy behavior in the group of children taught by hand puppet-assisted storytelling method is 79.37 while in the group of children learning conventional learning is 63.64. Thus, it can be concluded that the method of storytelling assisted by hand puppets can influence the behavior of empathy in children group B TK Nirartha 1 Benoa Academic Year 2018/2019. Based on these conclusions, it is recommended that teachers create an effective and enjoyable learning atmosphere by applying innovative learning strategies so that children's empathy increases.keyword : empathy behavior, method of storytelling assisted by hand puppets, early childhood

Abstract, The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of applying the 2013 curriculum learning to the motivation of learning PAK of the students of classes VII SMP Negeri 1 Sipoholon Academic Year 2017/2018. The method used in this research is the method of inferential statistics. The population is all student classes VII in SMP Negeri 1 Sipoholon 2017 year with the number of 160 students and sample 80 students by using random sampling technique . The instrument of this research is a closed questionnaire of 53 items. The results of data analysis showed that there is a positive impact of the application of the 2013 curriculum learning on the motivation of learning PAK in class VII SMP Negeri 1 Sipoholon Academic Year 2017/2018 of 9.3% with hypothesis test using F test obtained Fobt Ftab is 7,9891,39 thus H0 rejected and Ha accepted. The objective of this experimental research were to find out whether: (1) The students’ achievement in reading comprehension taught by using Annotation strategy was higher than that taught by using Compensation strategy, (2) the students’ achievement in reading comprehension with high self-efficacy was higher than that low self-efficacy, and (3) there was  interaction between teaching strategies and self-efficacy on the students’ achievement in reading comprehension. The population of this research was the students in grade IX of SMP Negeri 18 Medan of 2016/2017 academic year. There were 52 students as samples of this research by applying cluster random sampling technique. The instruments of this research were reading comprehension test and questionaire sheet. The data were analyzed using ANOVA at the level of significant α = 0.05. The result of the data analysis proved that:    (1) the students’ achievement in reading comprehension taught by using Annotation strategy was higher than that taught by using Compensation strategy, with Fobs (66.73) ˃ Ftab (4.10),  (2) the students’ achievement in reading comprehension with high self-efficacy was higher than that with low self-efficacy, with Fobs (94.83) ˃ Ftab (4.10),  (3) there was interaction between teaching strategies and self-efficacy, with Fobs (11.29) ˃ Ftab (4.10).     Keywords: teaching strategies, self-efficacy, reading comprehension

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hasil karya menggambar ilustrasi hombo batu Nias dengan teknik arsir ditinjau dari komposisi, Proporsi dan gelap terang karya siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Gunungstitoli Utara. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif yang bersifat deskriptif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh karya siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Gunungsitoli Utara dengan jumlah 144 karya dan sampel penelitian yaitu kelas VIII-A yang berjumlah 29 karya dengan menggunakan teknik Cluster Random Sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa analisis karya menggambar ilustrasi hombo batu Nias siswa kelas VIII-A SMP Negeri 1 Gunungsitoli Utara rata-rata mendapatkan kategori Cukup dengan total 25 Karya, sedangkan mendapatkan kategori Baik total 2 karya. Dan 2 karya siswa pada kategori Kurang. Pada hasil rekapitulasi nilai karya gambar ilustrasi hombo batu Nias indikator Komposisi mendapatkan kategori Cukup dengan nilai rata-rata 78,9. Indikator Proporsi mendapatkan kategori Cukup dengan nilai rata-rata 78,6. Dan indikator Gelap-terang mendapatkan kategori Cukup dengan hasil nilai rata-rata 79,9. Dengan demikian kelemahan hasil karya siswa kelas VIII-A SMP Negeri 1 Gunungsitoli Utara terletak pada indikator Proporsi, dan  dari 29 karya siswa yang menonjol  adalah indikator Gelap Terang. Selanjutnya nilai terttinggi pada karya siswa dengan mendapatkan nilai rata-rata 86 pada karya nomor 23. Sedangkan nilai terendah pada karya siswa dengan hasil nilai rata-rata 74 pada karya nomor 28.Berdasarkan hasil analisis data diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa hasil karya gambar ilustrasi hombo batu Nias SMP Negeri 1 Gunungsitoli Utara dikatakan cukup baik, karena terdapat kelemahan penerapan indikator proporsi, namun nilai lebih pada indikator Komposisi dan Gelap Terang.Kata Kunci: hombo batu nias.AbstractThis study aims to analyze the work of drawing illustrations of Nias stone hombo with shading techniques in terms of composition, proportion and darkness of the work of eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Gunungstitoli Utara. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The population in this study were all students of class VIII of SMP Negeri 1 Gunungsitoli Utara with a total of 144 works and the study sample was class VIII-A, amounting to 29 works using the Cluster Random Sampling technique. The results showed that the analysis of works drawing illustrations of Nias stone hombo class VIII-A students at SMP Negeri 1 Gunungsitoli Utara on average received the category of Enough with a total of 25 works, while getting the Good category a total of 2 works. And 2 students' work in the Less category. In the recapitulation of the value of the Nias stone hombo illustration illustration, the Composition indicator gets the Fair category with an average value of 78.9. Proportion Indicators get the Fair category with an average value of 78.6. And the Dark-light indicator gets the Fair category with an average score of 79.9. Thus the weaknesses of the work of VIII-A students of SMP Negeri 1 Gunungsitoli Utara are in the Proportion indicator, and of the 29 outstanding student works are Dark Light indicators. Furthermore, the highest value in the work of students by getting an average value of 86 in the work number 23. While the lowest value in the work of students with an average value of 74 in the work number 28. Based on the results of data analysis, it was concluded that the results of the Nias hombo illustration illustration works SMP Negeri 1 Gunungsitoli Utara is said to be quite good, because there are weaknesses in the application of the proportion indicator, but more value in the composition of the Dark and Composition indicator. This research aims to find out: (1) whether the use of English Listening Lesson Library Online (ELLLO) affects the students’ Listening comprehension achievement and (2) students’ perception tow Engish Listening Lesson Library Online (ELLLLO). This research employed Quan-Qual method with a type of quasi-experimental design namely regression discontinuity design. The population was the second year students of SMAN 3 Palopo which  consisting of nine classes in 2014/2015 academic year. The total number of population was 270 students. This research used the combination of random sampling and nonrandom sampling technique, random sampling to decide the sample of the quantitative analysis and nonrandom sampling to decide the qualitative analysis. The data were collected by two instruments namely a listening test  and interview. The description of data collected through the listening comprehension test showed that ELLLO (English Listening Lesson Library Online) is significantly affecting the students listening comprehension. All students agree that English listening Lesson Library Online (ELLLO) is a good supporting media since they have used it for about six weeks and their favourite activity is game activities. Keywords: effect, ELLLO, listening

Abstract: This research was intended to explore the phenomenon about the students’ vocabulary mastery can be correlating with their writing achievement. The objectives of this research is to investigate whether there is significant correlation between vocabulary mastery and the students’ achievement in writing descriptive text at the eighth graders of SMP Negeri 3 Kotabumi in academic year 2020/2021. The kind of this research is quantitative research and used correlational research design. The research was followed by 40 students which was established by using proportional random sampling technique. The instrument used in this research were tests and divided into two types of test. The first test was written test and the second test was vocabulary mastery test with multiple choice form. Then, to prove the hypothesis of the research, the researcher analyzed the data by using the formula of pearson product moment correlation and resulted Then,   , with the value of  was 28,24 and  was 2,027. Based on the result of the data analysis above, it can be concluded that Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected, which showed there is significant correlation between vocabulary mastery and the students’ achievement in writing descriptive text at the eighth graders of SMP Negeri 3 Kotabumi in academic year 2020/2021.   Keywords: Vocabulary Mastery, Writing Achievement, Descriptive Text.

This research is aimed to determine the ability to appreciate poetry by hermeneutic methods in mastering figurative language of  students of MAN 2 Mataram in 2017/2018 academic year. This research is quantitative research. The data is collected by using observation and test. The research sample is students of grade X Mia consisting of 12 students of MAN 2 Mataram. Sample is selected by employing purposive sampling technique. Data analysis used is descriptive statistics. The result shows an average value of 76.25 with a standard deviation of  6.44, so that the ability to appreciate poetry with hermeneutic methods in mastering the figurative language of students Man 2 Mataram is high.

The objectives of this experimental research were to find out whether: (1)The students’ achievement in reading comprehension taught by using Read, Ask, Put, and Paraphrasing (RAPP) strategy was higher than that taught by using Direct, Reading Thinking, Active (DRTA) strategy, (2) the students’ achievement in reading comprehension with high self-regulation was higher than that low self-regulation, and (3) there was an interaction between teaching strategies and self-regulation on the students’ achievement in reading comprehension. The population of this research was the students in grade XII of Madrasah Aliyah Negeri Sipirok of 2016/2017 academic year. There were 63 students as samples of this research by applying cluster random sampling technique. The instruments of this research were reading comprehension test and questionnaire sheet. The data were analyzed using ANOVA at the level of significant α = 0.05. The result of the data analysis proved that: (1) the students’ achievement in reading comprehension taught by using RAPP strategy was higher than the students were taught by using DRTA strategy (2) the students’ achievement in reading comprehension with high self-regulation was higher than the students were given low self-regulation, (3) there was interaction between teaching strategies and self-regulation. The students’ achievement in reading comprehension is influenced by teaching strategies and self-regulation. Keywords: teaching strategies, self-regulation, reading comprehension
