<p>The purpose of this research was to study the profile of students' mathematical inductive reasoning abilities regarding visual, auditory and kinesthetic learning styles in solving mathematical problems. The research method used is qualitative with a descriptive approach. The results of the study showed that UNIPA mathematics education students tended to study with Visual Learning Styles. Students with this learning style tend to have inductive mathematical reasoning abilities that are better than inductive mathematical reasoning abilities of students learning with auditorial learning styles and those who learn with the kinesthetic learning style. Also, Mathematics Education students of the University of Papua do not have the ability to examine the validity of an argument and find patterns or characteristics of mathematical symptoms to generalize.</p>

Students' mathematical reasoning ability will be better and develop if the teacher provides learning that supports these abilities. However, most of the students of class XI Science at SMAN 2 Painan have not used and developed their mathematical reasoning abilities optimally, this is due to teachercentered learning. The purpose of this study was to determine the development of mathematical reasoning skills in class XI science students of SMAN 2 Painan during Think Pair Square learning. This research is a descriptive research. The research instrument is a quiz. Quiz is analyzed by determining the average quiz for each meeting, students who complete based on the KKM and determine the performance criteria achieved by students based on the assessment of Iryanti's performance. The results show that students' mathematical reasoning abilities develop. Keywords: Think Pair Square,Mathematical Reasoning Abilities

This study aims to analyze the mathematical reasoning abilities of students in the mathematics education study program in the secondary school mathematics curriculum review course. This research was conducted by giving quiz questions in the form of descriptions to a class of students who were then analyzed the answers. The results of the student's answer analysis show that the students' mathematical reasoning ability is still low. The low level of students' mathematical reasoning skills in general lies in the ability of students to analyze problems, make conjectures, determine relationships between variables, and identify links between processes or concepts in a given case. So that many answers from students are not logical and wrong in concluding.

Abstract. Learning equipment is important things that determine the quality of the learning process and output. We need a study about validity, practicality, and effectiveness of the learning equipment to ensure teaching and learning quality. The purpose of this research is to evaluate the validity of the learning equipment based on guided discovery, especially the students’ worksheets. This research was a descriptive qualitative research that provides the result of students’ worksheets and experts recommendation. The experts who validated these student’s worksheets were three experts on mathematics education. The instruments used in this study was the validation sheets for LKPD. The result of validation sheets analysis for LKPD showed that in general, the students’ worksheets were valid. The validity of the didactical aspect and contents aspect sequently were 0,667 dan 0,704. Keywords: students’ worksheets, guided discovery, mathematical concepts understanding, mathematical reasoning abilities Abstrak.

This study aims to analyze the validity and effectiveness of teaching materials developed based on a realistic mathematical approach in improving students 'mathematical reasoning and representation abilities, to analyze the increase in students' reasoning skills and mathematical representation abilities taught using teaching materials based on realistic mathematical approaches. The data were obtained through the validation sheet of teaching materials, observation sheets, student response questionnaires, mathematical reasoning ability test instruments and mathematical representation ability tests. This study uses a 4-D development model Thiagarajan, Semmel and Semmel by developing teaching materials with a realistic mathematical approach. Based on the results of the validation, the total average value of the RPP validity was 4.81, the student books were 4.83 and the LKPD was 4.85, the students' mathematical reasoning ability tests and the mathematical representation ability tests were in the valid category. Classical mastery of learning reaches 90.62% which has met the completeness criteria, namely ≥85% of students have reached the KKM. The increase in students' mathematical reasoning abilities using teaching materials based on a realistic mathematical approach on fraction material seen from N-Gain in the first trial and second trial has increased from 0.36 to 0.50 meaning that it is in the medium category. As well as an increase in the ability of students' mathematical representation using teaching materials based on a realistic mathematical approach on fraction material seen from N-Gain in the first trial and second trial, it increased from 0.43 to 0.50, meaning that it was in the medium category.

The Effect of Learning Model Giving Question Getting Answer and Think Pair Share Toward Reasoning Mathematics Ability Student’s Grade VII AbstractThis research is based on the problem of the importance of mathematical reasoning abilities and their low achievement. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Giving Question Getting Answer and Think Pair Share learning models on students' mathematical reasoning abilities and their effectiveness in enhancing these abilities. Population This quasi-experimental study included all seventh-grade students of Balong 1 Junior High School. The VIIA class is given learning with the TPS model while the VIIB class is with the GQGA model. The instruments of data collection are in the form of tests, including the questions of the pretest and posttest. The results showed that the GQGA learning model had an effect on the reasoning ability of students in class VIIB with an increase that occurred from the pretest to the posttest. Likewise, the TPS learning model influences the mathematical reasoning abilities of VIIA students with an increase in the value of the pretest to posttest. The GQGA learning model is no more effective than the TPS learning model in improving students' mathematical reasoning abilities.
