ABSTRACT The main problem in this research was the lack of creative thinking ability of students class VIII SMP Negeri 10 Kupang. The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of thinking empowerment models through questions on student’s creative thinking abilities. The method used was an experimental method with a posttest-only control design. The population of all class VIII students wass 327 and the sample of class VIII H and class VIII J was 64 students. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. Data collection was done by creative thinking tests. The data analysis techniques using t test with the help of SPSS version 19. The results showed that the ability to think creatively in the experimental class was higher, namely fluency of 89,45%, authenticity of 89,06%, detailing 82,03% and flexibility of 77,34% compared to creative thinking in the control class. Based  on the results of the hypothesis test, the value of t count>t table / 12,597>1,99897 at the 5% significance level. It showed  that there were differences  in student’s creative thinking abilities  between the experimental using PBMP learning models while the control class used  lecture methods so that it can be concluded that there was a significant influence in the use of PBMP learning models on student’s thinking abilities.

This study aims to (1) describe groundwater quality in terms of physical and chemical parameters; (2) Describe the improvement of the ability to think creatively using thematic modules on the impact of pollution on life; and (3) Describe the increase in students' perceptions of the importance of caring for the environment using the thematic modules on the material impacts of pollution on life. The type of research used is the Research and Development (R&D) development model of ADDIE (Analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation). The analysis phase is carried out on ground water quality using 7 parameters, namely temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen levels, salinity, TDS, turbidity and Electrical Conductivity. The results of the analysis are packaged in a thematic module on the impact of pollution on life for class VII SMP / MTs to improve students' creative thinking abilities and perceptions of caring for the environment. The sample of the study was SMPN 18 Bengkulu Tengah students, for a limited scale there were 10 students of class VIII, while the broad scale were 21 students of class VII. Data analysis was performed using the N-Gain test. On a limited scale the results of the gain of creative thinking ability is 0.784 (high) with effective criteria and the gain of environmental care is 0.566 (moderate) with quite effective criteria. Whereas in the wide-scale test, the result of creative thinking ability gain was 0.66 (moderate) with quite effective criteria and the gain of environmental care was 0.562 (moderate) with quite effective criteria. Based on the analysis of the N-gain test it can be concluded that the thematic module of the impact of pollution on life can improve the ability to think creatively and students' perceptions of the importance of caring for the environment.

This study aimed to describe the effectiveness and differences of scientific approach with open-ended problem based learning worksheet and scientific approach. The population in this study was students of class VII of SMP Negeri 17 Pamulang, South Tangerang. The sample of this study was determined randomly. They were two classes and the results were VII.3 and VII.4. To determine the effectiveness, one sample t-test was used. To discover the difference of effectiveness, MANOVA (Hotteling's Trace) test was used. The results show that (1) Scientific approach with open-ended problem based learning worksheet and scientific approach are effective viewed from learning achievement, creative thinking ability, interests and mathematic self-efficacy (2) There is no difference in effectiveness between scientific approach with open-ended problem based learning worksheet with scientific approach viewed from learning achievement, creative thinking ability, interests and mathematic self-efficacy (3) Scientific approach with open-ended problem based learning worksheet are more effective than scientific approaches viewed from student achievement

In learning process, students often appear reluctant to read mathematics books. So that the students do not understand the meaning and concept of the material they have heard and recorded. This research offers a pre-solution posing type of problem posing model. Students make questions according to the situation given by the teacher and then it solve by  themselves or finish them as discussion materials. The research objective is to examine, to describe the increase in creative thinking skills which have the effect of increasing learning achievement through the pre-solution posing type of problem posing model. The research was conducted at X-MIPA 2 SMAN 3 Semarang on vector material. Research variables are creative thinking skills and learning achievement. Data on creative thinking abilities were taken using observation sheets, data on learning achievement were taken by tests. The obtained data were scored, processed and presented descriptively. The results showed, the number of students completed, respectively, on the creative thinking variable was 57% and 86%, while the learning achievement was 60% and 91%. The increase that occurs shows the application of improved learning actions on vector material with the pre-solution posing type of problem posing learning model. The results of observations and interviews on lecturers and students show that students tend to pay less attention when the lecturer explains the material. The interaction is also still impressed one way, only lecturers to students. It shows that students' interest toward organic chemistry learning is still low and considered difficult by them. Students are less directed in constructing their knowledge, resulting in many misconceptions and low student's thinking ability. This happens because the union has not multi-level chemical representation that includes the macroscopic, microscopic and symbolic levels in the learning process undertaken. This research was conducted on chemical education students at IKIP Mataram who took organic chemistry course II. This research was conducted from September to December 2016 consisting of preliminary research, product trial, data processing and preparation of research result report. This study aims to determine the feasibility and effectiveness of teaching materials with inquiry assisted approach Computational Chemistry program in improving students' creative thinking ability. This research uses R & D procedure which includes define, design and develop stage. The result of the research shows that the teaching materials developed meet the valid criteria, and effectiveness in improving the ability of creative thinking this can be seen from the result of the n-gain test which shows the improvement of students' creative thinking ability after learning using inquiry materials of computational media in organic chemistry.

This study aimed to determine the correlation between level of creative thinking ability with social knowledge competency of students of grade V in elementary school Gugus Kapten Kompyang Sujana in the lesson year 2017/2018. The type of this research was ex post facto. The method used in this research is descriptive method with correlation study type. Research populations were all students grade 5 in elementary school Gugus Kapten Kompyang Sujana academic period 2017/2018 which has population over 637 students. Sample was determined by proportional technique random sampling with the level of error 5% and the number of sample gained from the populations were 227 students. The data were obtained through the results of a creative thinking essay test which was answered by the respondents. The statistical analysis used in this research is hypothesis test using triserial correlation analysis. Based on the result of analysis then rptscount = 1,005. At a level of signification 5% with n = 227, then obtained rtable= 1,960. Because rcount= 1,005 >rtable= 1,960 it means that H0 that said there is no significant correlation between level of creative thinking ability with social knowledge competency of students of grade V in elementary school Gugus Kapten Kompyang Sujana in the lesson year 2017/2018 was accepted. The conclusion was there is no correlation between level of creative thinking ability with social knowledge competency of students of grade V elementary school Gugus Kapten Kompyang Sujana in the lesson year 2017/2018. Suggested to other researchers for the results of this study can be used as a reference to carry out further research using the test is a creative thinking essay test. Keywords: level of creative thinking ability, social knowledge competency, students of grade V elementary school.
