The ability of mathematical representation is an ability that students should have in order to assist in interpreting problems into verbal, visual, and symbolic forms. The low ability of students' mathematical representation and learning tools that are made by the teacher has not facilitated enough the ability of mathematical representation the main objective of this study. Researchers developed learning tools consisting of syllabus, lesson plans, and student worksheet using the Problem Based Learning model to improve students' mathematical representation skills. The development model used is the Borg and Gall’s model. The instruments used were validation sheets and student response questionnaires. The data analysis technique used is the analysis of validity and practicality. The result of the percentage of validity shows that the learning device is included in the valid category with an average syllabus percentage of 92.18%, RPP is 93.64% and LKPD is 93.06%. The student response questionnaire analysis showed that the device was included in the very practical category with an average of 92.2%. The tools developed by researchers have met the valid and practical categories to facilitate the mathematical representation abilities of students.

AbstrakPenelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh penerapan model problem based learning terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 3 Palembayan berdasarkan tingkat Kemampuan Awal Matematis (KAM) siswa. Dimana siswa dibagi menjadi 3 kategori yaitu KAM Tinggi, KAM Sedang dan KAM rendah. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian pre-eksperimen, dengan rancangan penelitian one shot case study. Subjek pada penelitian ini siswa kelas VII.3 yang dipilih secara secara acak. Instrumen yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah tes akhir. Tes yang digunakan adalah berbentuk essay. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik analisis data deksriptif kualitatif. Berdasarkan analisis data secara keseluruhan, model PBL dapat membuat kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa lebih baik. Terlebih lagi untuk siswa yang termasuk ke dalam kategori KAM tinggi. Ini terlihat dari ukuran pemusatan dimana rata-rata untuk siswa pada kategori sedang 52,86 dengan simpangan baku 11,31 sehingga disimpulkan bahwa model ini dapat memberikan pengaruh terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa. The Effect of Application of the Problem Based Learning Model on Mathematical Problem Solving StudentsAbstractThis study aimed to determine how the effect of problem-based learning model implementation toward student mathematic problem-solving abilities at Class VII SMPN 3 Palembayan based on the basic level of Mathematical Ability. Students were divided into 3 categories such as the low, medium and high ability. It was pre-experimental research using one shot case research study design. The research subject was class VII.3 students who were randomly selected. The instrument was a final test in the form of an essay. It used a qualitative descriptive data analysis technique. Based on the data analysis, the Problem-solving learning model can make students' mathematics problem-solving abilities better. Moreover, those students are categorized into high ability. It is seen from the concentration measure for students in the medium category are 52.86 with a standard deviation i.e. 11.31. It is concluded that problem-solving model can affect the students' problem-solving abilities.

This study aims to improve the skills of writing persuasive speech texts by using a multimedia-assisted Problem Based learning model for grade 9J students of SMP Negeri 2 Mataram. This research method used classroom action research. Data were obtained by using field notes, observations, tests, and documentation in the form of assignments. The data analysis technique in this research is descriptive analysis. The results of this study indicate that the application of the Problem Based Learning model assisted by multimedia can increase the activeness of students in learning to write persuasive speech texts. The increase can be seen from the percentage of activeness of 65.71% in the first cycle to 94.29% in the second cycle. In addition, the multimedia-assisted Problem Based Learning model can improve the skills of writing persuasive speech texts. This can be seen from the writing results of students who achieved the KKM in the first cycle of 74.29%, increasing to 100%.

This study aims to develop e-module based on Problem Based Learning (PBL) on hydrocarbon materials using the Kvisoft Flipbook Maker application. This research is a development research with 4-D development model. The data obtained came from 6 validators (3 material experts and 3 media experts), 4 chemistry teachers and 12 students from four high schools namely SMA Negeri 8 Pekanbaru, SMA Negeri 5 Pekanbaru, SMA Negeri 3 Pekanbaru and SMA IT Al-Fityah Pekanbaru. Data collection techniques used in the form of documentation and questionnaires. The data analysis technique is by calculating the percentage score of the validation assessment and user responses. The results showed that the e-module developed fulfilled very valid criteria with a percentage of 85.39% by material experts and 97.02% by media experts. The results of the chemistry teacher and student response test showed that the e-module developed fulfilled very practical criteria with a percentage of 92.60% by chemistry teachers and 89.60% by students

This study aimed to determine the difference in the improvement of students' mathematical representation ability in problem-based learning (PBL) and regular learning as well as to determine the difference in the improvement of  students' self confidence in PBL and regular learning. In addition, to find out whether there was an interaction between learning and students'  early mathematical ability toward the improvement of students' mathematical representation ability and whether there was an interaction between learning and students' early mathematical ability toward  students' self confidence. The population was all students of SMP Negeri 1 Lhokseumawe. The sample was taken randomly as many as 2 classes which were consisted of 60 students. Data analysis was conducted by using Two way ANAVA. The conclusion were (1) the ability improvement of mathematical representation of students given a PBL model was higher than students given regular learning. (2) the improvement of students' self confidence given a PBL model was higher than students given regular learning. (3) There was no interaction between the learning model and students' early mathematical ability toward the improvement of students' mathematical representation skill. (4) There was no interaction between learning model and students' early methematical ability  toward the improvement of students' self confidence. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemandirian belajar siswa dengan menerapkan model pembelajaaran problem based learning yang dibantu dengan media edmodo. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode eksperimen dengan desain penelitian one grup pretest posttest. Subyek penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI penjurusan MIPA SMA Negeri 1 Demak tahun ajaran 2017/2018. Aspek kemandirian yang diteliti meliputi aspek persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket kemandirian belajar, wawancara terhadap siswa dengan kemandirian rendah, sedang, dan tinggi, angket respon siswa, dan lembar keterlaksanaan pembelajaran untuk mengetahui tingkat keefektifan penerapan model problem based learning berbantuan edmodo. Berdasarkan analisis hasil penelitian tingkat keefektifan pelaksanaan pembelajaran dengan model problem based learning berbantuan edmodo adalah 94,11%. Peningkatan kemandirian belajar diketahui dengan menggunakan uji n-gain didapatkan hasil sebesar 0,32 dengan kriteria sedang. Peningkatan kemandirian yang paling optimal terjadi pada indikator evaluasi kegiatan belajar dan penarikan kesimpulan pengalaman belajar. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan aplikasi edmodo dalam pembelajaran dapat meningkatkan kemandirian belajar siswa. Efforts to increase student self-regulated learning with problem-based learning model use Edmodo AbstractThe purpose of this study is to improve students' self-regulated learning by applying model problem based learning use edmodo. The research method is experimental method with one group pretest posttest research design. The subjects of the study were the students of science class grade XI of SMA Negeri 1 Demak academic year 2017/2018. The aspects of self-regulated learning examined include aspects of preparation, implementation, and evaluation. Data collection techniques used questionnaire of self-regulated learning, interviews of students with low, middle, and high self-regulated learning, student response questionnaires, and learning activity sheet to determine the level of effectiveness of the implementation of problem-based learning model use edmodo. Based on the analysis of research results, the effectiveness level of learning implementation with problem based learning model use edmodo is 94.11%. Increased learning independence is known by using the n-gain test results obtained by 0.32 with middle criteria. The most optimal improvement of independence occurs in indicators of evaluation of learning activities and conclusions of learning experiences. So it can be concluded that the use of edmodo applications in learning can improve student’s self-regulated learning.

The student learning activities do not support developing mathematical problem solving abilities. One of the factors is the learning tools used have not provided the opportunity for students to hone their mathematical problem solving skills. This study aims to produce a valid and practical semester VIII class SMP mathematics learning device for use by using the Problem Based Learning Model with a scientific approach to the SPLDV material. This type of research is a development research with the ADDIE development model which includes the following steps: (1) analysis, (2) design, (3) development, (4) implementation, (5) evaluation. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and student response questionnaires. The subjects of this study were students of class VIII MTS GUPPI Bandar Sungai. Data analysis techniques used qualitative and quantitative statistics. Based on the results of data analysis, information was obtained that the learning device met the valid and practical criteria. The results of the validity of the learning tools in the form of a syllabus with a percentage of 82.99%, RPP 85.75% and LKPD of 83.23% fulfilled the validity level, namely valid. The results of the practicality of the learning tools seen from the student response questionnaire were 92%, these results met the practicality level, which was very practical, while in terms of the teacher's observation sheet it fulfilled the practicality level of 87.78% fulfilling the very practical level.

The content and standard process of 2013 curriculum demands the learning process to be more scientific and integration. The purpose of this research is to develop and produce physics learning tools in Senior High School on Temperature Subject and Integrated Thermoregulasi Heat on Human which is using Problem Based Learning Model with valid, practical and effective criteria.This research type is research and development. The development model that is being used is MCKenny’s model which consists of Preliminary Stage, Prototype Stage and Assessment Stage. This research produces physics learning tools in Senior High School on Temperature Subject and integrated Thermoregulasi Heat on human which is using Problem Based Learning Model with valid, practical and effective criteria.

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan persepsi siswa terhadap penerapan model Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah (PBM) dengan hasil belajar siswa pada materi perubahan lingkungan di kelas X di SMA Negeri 1 Stabat Tahun Pembelajaran 2017/2018.Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas X MIA di SMA Negeri 1 Stabat tahun pembelajaran 2017/2018. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari kelas X MIA 5 dan MIA 6 yang berjumlah 72 orang yang diambil dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling.Metode penelitian ini adalah deskriptif korelasional, dengan menggunakan angket dan dokumentasi hasil belajar sebagai alat pengumpul data.Berdasarkan hasil uji korelasi Product Moment diperoleh rhitung rtabel( 0,57> 0,235) artinya terdapat korelasi yang positif antara persepsi siswa terhadap penerapan model Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah (PBM) dengan hasil belajar dan termasuk kedalam kategori sedang. Hasil uji determinasi sebesar 32,49 % menunjukkan bahwa persepsi siswa terhadap model Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah pada materi Perubahan Lingkungan memberikan konstribusi sebesar 32,49% terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Pengujian hipotesis dengan menggunakan uji t diperoleh  thitung ttabel atau 8,62 > 1,994. Dengan demikian H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada hubungan yang signifikan antara persepsi siswa terhadap penerapan model Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah (PBM) pada materi Perubahan Lingkungan dengan hasil belajar siswa pada materi perubahan lingkungan di kelas X di SMA Negeri 1 Stabat Tahun Pembelajaran 2017/2018. Kata kunci :Persepsi Siswa, Model Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah, Hasil Belajar siswa  ABSTRACTThis research aims to determine relations between students’ perception about Problem Based Learning in environmental change subject matter with students learning of class X SMA Negeri 1 Stabat Academic Year 2017/2018. The population in this study were all students of class X MIA in SMA Negeri 1 Stabat. The total number of samples is 72 students. Samples were taken by purposive technique sampling. The research method used in this research is descriptive correlative, using questionnaires and documentation as data collection tools. For data analysis technique, using the formula product moment correlation coefficient values obtained correlation rcuount rtable( 0,57> 0,235) it means that there is a positive and significant correlation between students' perception of Problem Based Learning model with student learning. Determination index 32,49%, it means students’ perception contributed 32,49 % of the student learning. Testing the hypothesis using a statistical test t obtained tcount  > t table or 8,62> 1,994. Thus H0 is rejected and Ha accepted. It can be concluded that there is a significant correlation between students' perception for Problem Based Learning model on change of the environment subject matter with student learning class X SMA Negeri 1 Stabat Academic Year 2017/2018.Keywords: student’ perception,  problem based learning model, student learning.

The purpose of this study were (1) to describe the skills of wrting the text of the explanation of the students of class VIII SMP Negeri 12 Padang before using the serialimage media aided problem based learning model, (2) to describe the skills of writing the text of the explanation of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 12 Padang after usingproblem based learning model serial image media, (3) to analyze the effect of serial image media aided problem based learning model to the writing skills skill of class VIIISMP Negeri 12 Padang. Based on data analysis, the use of serial image media-aided problem based learning model influences the writing skills skill of class VIII students ofSMP Negeri 12 Padang.

Abstract The objectives of this study are: (1) to find out  the difference of improvement of students’ mathematical representation ability and students’ self-confidence through humanistic learning based on realistic mathematical approaches and conventional learning reviewed (a) as a whole and (b) at the student level (high, medium, low), (2) to find out is there interaction between learning process and students’ initial ability on the improvement of students’ mathematical representation ability and students’ self-confidence. The population of this study is all of the student in SMA Negeri 1 Lhokseumawe. The sample of this study was taken randomly consist of two classes . The two way ANAVA was used to analyzed the data of this study. The results of this study indicate that the increasement of students’ mathematical representation who learned with humanistic learning based on PMR is higher than the students’ who learned with conventional learning.The Increasement of students’ self-confidence who learned with humanistic learning based on PMR is higher than the students who learned with conventional learning. There is interaction between learning model (problem-based learning and conventional learning) and students’ initial mathematical ability toward the increasement of students' mathematical representation ability. There is interaction between learning model (problem based learning and conventional learning) and students’ initial mathematical  ability toward the increasement of students’ self-confidence. Keywords:humanistic learning based on PMR, Conventional Learning, Mathematical Representation, and Self-Confidence.   Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan: (1) Untuk mengetahui perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan representasi matematis dan self confidence  siswa melalui pembelajaran humanistik berbasis pendidikan matematika realistik (PMR) dan pembelajaran biasa (PB) ditinjau dari:(a) secara keseluruhan, (b) berdasarkan level siswa (tinggi, sedang, rendah),  (2) Untuk mengetahui Apakah terdapat interaksi antara strategi pembelajaran dengan level siswa terhadap kemampuan representasi matematis dan self confidence siswa. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa SMA Negeri 1 Lhokseumawe. Sampel penelitian diambil secara acak sebanyak 2 kelas. Analisis data dilakukan dengan ANAVA Dua Jalur. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Peningkatan kemampuan representasi matematis siswa yang diberi pembelajaran humanistik berbasis PMR lebih tinggi daripada siswa yang diberi  PB. Peningkatan self confidence siswa yang diberi pembelajaran humanistik berbasis PMR lebih tinggi daripada siswa yang diberi  PB. Terdapat  interaksi antara model pembelajaran  dan KAM terhadap peningkatan kemampuan representasi matematis siswa. Terdapat interaksi antara model pembelajaran  dan KAM terhadap peningkatan self confidence siswa. Kata Kunci: Pembelajaran Humanistik berbasis PMR, Pembelajaran Biasa, Representasi Matematis, dan Self Confidence.
