The primary macronutrients are required in large amounts for optimum plant growth. Sandy beach soil that is widely distributed, has a granular structure and is poor in primary macronutrients. Cow manure can improve the struktur of soil and Paitan (Tithonia diversifolia) can increase the availability of primary macro nutrients. This study aims to determine the effect of cow manure and Paitan (Tithonia diversifolia) on the nutrient availability of sand beach soil. The study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with 2 factors, the first factor was the dose of cow manure consisting of 3 levels 0; 2.5 and 5% of the weight of the soil. The second factor is the dose of Paitan (Thitonia diversifolia) which consists of 4 levels of 0; 2.5; 5 and 7.5%. of soil weight To determine the effect of treatment, variance analysis (ANOVA) was used and followed by a follow-up test using Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) at a test level of 5%. The results showed that the application of cow manure and Paitan (Thitonia diversifolia) had a significant effect on increasing N available , P available and K available nutrients. The application of 5% cow manure and Paitan (Thitonia diversifolia) 5% has the potential to increase N available , P available and K available. sand beach soil is the highest

A research to study the chemical properties of hyacinth- and straw-compost decomposed by natural and artificial activators was conducted at the Research Field of Faculty of Agriculture, Muhammadiyah University of Yogyakarta. Cow manure was used as natural activator, while Stardec (powdered) and EM4 (liquid) as artificial ones. The treatment was arranged in 2x3 factorial completely randomized design. The hyacinth and straw organic sources were decomposed by cow manure, Stardec and EM4 activators. Organic matters were incubated for 5-6 weeks then pH, C-organic, N-total, available P and K, CEC, and the .exchngeable  Ca,  K and Mg were measured. The results showed that the hyacinth-compost had the better maturity according to the C/N ratio (C/N20) than the straw-compost (C/N20), but the two kinds of compost had the moderate mature rate of humic substances.  The straw-compost had better quality though as shown in its higher available phosphorus and excheangable potassium, especially when decomposed by EM4 artificial activator. Application of artificial activators Stardec and EM4 enhanced the maturity rate of hyacinth-compost.

Goat management in rural areas is still commonly done traditionally with little regard for health factors. One factor is the presence of parasitic worms in the goat's digestive tract which causes disturbed growth. The research aims to evaluate the effect of the addition of turmeric and multinutrient block plus (MNBP) in eliminating endoparasites and increasing feed intake of Jawarandu goats. The material used was 12 male Jawarandu goats weighing an average of 20 kg. A completely randomized design was used in this study with 4 treatments and 3 replications. Treatment T0: basal ration + MNBP; T1: T0 + 1% turmeric; T2: T0 + 3% turmeric; T3: T0 + 5% turmeric. The parameters observed were feed intake, weight gain, number of endoparasites and total eggs per gram of feces. Data analysis using analysis of variance significance level of 5% to determine the effect of treatment. If there is a treatment effect, it is followed by Duncan's multiple range test. The results showed a decrease in the number of endoparasites. The best treatment to induce an antibody system is T2 treatment, namely the addition of turmeric with a level of 3%. Feed intake was not significantly increasing although improving body weight gain in T2 and T3. The conclusion of the study is that the administration of MNBP and turmeric with a level of 5% has not been able to eliminate all endoparasites until the 28th day. MNBP and turmeric are useful as natural antioxidants. Increased level of turmeric can increase weight gain and immune system of goats.
