The Impact of Business Mentoring on Micro, Small, Medium Enterprises Performance

This reasearch is conducted on MMSME (Micro Small Medium Enterprises) that are participated in the MMSME Syari’ah Mentoring Program by Academicians and Practitioners (PUSPA) organized by Bank Indonesia in Bandung. MMSME who participated in PUSPA program 2016 is MMSME that included in necessity entrepreneur where MMSME operated just to fullfil the life necessities. The purpose of this reasearch was to investigate the influence of the business mentoring on the MMSME performance in PUSPA program 2016. Researcher used quantitative research method. Data were analyzed using simple regression analysis and descriptive-causal analysis. The result showed that business mentoring affect the performance of MMSME that participated in PUSPA Program 2016. Based on the calculation, coefficient of determination (R2) can be seen the influence of business mentoring variable (X) on the performance (Y) is 74%. While the remaining 26% is influenced by other factors such as entrepreneurship competence and human resources.

This program aims to improve the competence of entrepreneurship owned by MSME in term of knowledge, attitudes, and skills. Increased in the entrepreneurial comptence will have an impact on MSME perfomance both on financial term by the increase in income and non-financial term namely by the increased of the knowledge and skills like simple accounting, managing the production process, how to market the product, and know the procedures for obtaining the venture capital. The purpose of this reasearch was to investigate the influence of the entrepreneurial competence on the MSME performance in PUSPA program 2016.Researcher used quantitative research method. This research use sampling technique on non-probability sampling that is saturated sampling because the members of population less than 30 people and the entire population is a sample. Total sample in this research is 20 respondents. Data collecting in this research is done by distributing questionarries to all respondents that is MSME that pariticaped in PUSPA program 2016. Data were analyzed using simple regression analysis and descriptive-causal analysis.The result showed that entrepreneurial competenec affect the performance of MSME that participated in PUSPA Program 2016. Based on the calculation, coefficent of determination (R2) can be seen the influence of entrepreneurial compentence variable (X) on the performance (Y) is 61.7%. While the remaining 38.3 is influenced by other factors such as mentoring, motivation, and human resources.

Micro Small Medium Enterprises (MSME) especially in culinary are the main destination of tourist in Surakarta Indonesia. As the tourist destination, MSME must be creative in develop their product. The financial ability is the main source of the owner in develop their business. Bank loan is an alternative in order to improve the financial sorce. Therefore, the MSME’s owner need to compile the financial report as one of bank loan requirement. This study is a quantitative research which is use multiple regression analysis using moderation variables. The quality of financial report is the dependent variable. The Independent variables are the MSME’s owner perception and understanding about book keeping. This study also enclose the MSME’s owner demographic background that consist of educational leverage and business size as the moderating variables. The data is collected from culinary MSME’s in Surakarta, Indonesia in the year of 2017. The findings of this research shows that educational leverage and business size are Predictor Moderation Variable. Besides, the perception and understanding are not significantly influence the financial report quality. The result of beta value shows that the business size strengthen the bookkeeping perception variable and weaken the understanding variable towards financial report quality. While the educational leverage strengthen the understanding variable and weaken the perception variables even all of them are not significantly influenced.

This research was conducted at the Culinary Hawkers that located on Highway Sukapura, Dayeuhkolot, Bandung. This study examines the Entrepreneurial behaviour which resulted in increased sales volumes. Almost all Culinary Hawkers on Highway Sukapura doesn’t yet have the entrepreneurial behavior in accordance with the characteristics - traits mentioned by Suryana, Confident, Own initiative, Have achievement motive, Having leadership, and Dare to take risks with the full calculation. The purpose of this study was to investigate the influence of entrepreneurial behavior to the merchant's sales volume culinary pavement on Highway Sukapura, Dayeuhkolot, Bandung.Researchers used quantitative research methods. The population in this study was 63 Merchants Culinary Street on Highway Sukapura. Samples are 63 street vendors in JalanSukapura. Data were analyzed using simple regression analysis.The results showed that entrepreneurial behavior affect the sales volume of culinary street traders in Highway Sukapura. Based on the calculation coefficient of determination (R2) can be seen the effect of entrepreneurial behavior variables (X) on sales volume (Y) is approximately 94%. While the remaining 6% are influenced by other factors such as competence, performance, and motivation.

Abstrak Riset ini bermaksud demi mengetahui apakah pengaruh pengetahuan perpajakan terhadap kepatuhan wajib pajak di Kantor SAMSAT Kota Tomohon. Pada riset ini variabel kepatuhan wajib pajak menjadi variabel dependen. Sampel pada pengkajian ini sebanyak 100 wajib pajak serta diambil memakai rumus Slovin.             Metode yang dipergunakan dalam riset ini ialah metode survei dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Pada riset ini data primer dikumpulkan dengan cara teknik pengumpulan data observasi, dokumentasi serta angket/kuesioner, adapun teknik analisis data yang digunakan pada pengkajian ini ialah analisis regresi sederhana dengan uji normalitas, uji linieritas, dan uji hipotesis.             Hasil pengkajian ini adanya dampak positif dan signifikan mengenai dampak pengetahuan perpajakan terhadap kepatuhan wajib pajak kendaraan bermotor di mana persamaan regresi sederhana dalam riset ini menunjukkan nilai koefisien Regresi X sebesar 0.072 memperlihatkan ternyata setiap penambahan 1% pengaruh pengetahuan perpajakan, maka nilai kepatuhan wajib pajak kendaraan bermotor bertambah sebesar 0.072. Koefisien regresi tersebut bernilai positif, sehingga dapat dikatakan bahwa dampak variabel X terhadap Y ialah positif. Dengan demikian variabel pengaruh pengetahuan perpajakan berdampak signifikan atas kepatuhan wajib pajak kendaraan bermotor di Kantor Samsat Kota Tomohon.   Kata Kunci : Pengetahuan Perpajakan, Kepatuhan Wajib Pajak   Abstract                This research intends to find out whether the influence of tax knowledge on taxpayer compliance at the Tomohon City SAMSAT Office. In this research, the taxpayer compliance variable becomes the dependent variable. The sample in this study was 100 taxpayers and was taken using the Slovin formula. The method used in this research is a survey method with a quantitative approach. In this research, primary data were collected by means of observation data collection techniques, documentation and questionnaires, while the data analysis techniques used in this study were simple regression analysis with normality test, linearity test, and hypothesis testing. The results of the study are that there is a positive and significant impact on the impact of tax knowledge on motor vehicle taxpayer compliance where the simple regression equation in this research shows the X regression coefficient value of 0.072 showing that all 1% additions affect tax knowledge, then the motor vehicle taxpayer compliance value increases by 0.072. The regression coefficient is positive, so it can be said that the impact of variable X on Y is positive. Thus the variable influence of tax knowledge has a significant impact on motor vehicle taxpayer compliance at the Tomohon City Samsat Office.   Keywords: Tax Knowledge, Taxpayer Compliance

ABSTRACTThe study investigates the effect of leadership style on employee’s work stress in ESS Transportation Management Service Telkom. The data were collected from 92 employees and obtained using a questionnaire consisted of 29 items with 6 point Likert scale. Desciptive analysis used to illustratedthe leadership style and work stress level inside the organization. Simple regression analysis was used to analyze the data and to measure the relation between independent and dependent variables. Employee perceives that the leadership style implemented in the organization was already appropriate and in line with their expectation regarding how their leader should engage the work relation. Meanwihle, the work stress level among employees were low. The regression analysis revealed the negative relation between leadership style and work stress level. When employeesperceived that their leader was act accordance to what their expectaion then the stress level will lessen. The coefficient of determination was 0.321. This mean the leadership style can only explain 32.1% of work stress, then the organization need to identify other factors which also affect the work stress. The comparison with the previous literatures also discussed.ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh gaya kepemimpinan terhadap tingkat stres kerja karyawan di Divisi ESS Transportation Management Service Telkom. Data penelitian diperoleh daripenyebaran kuesioner terhadap 92 orang responden. Kuesioner yang digunakan memiliki 29 pertanyaan dengan skala Likert 6 poin. Teknik analisis deskriptif digunakan untuk menjelaskan tingkat gaya kepemimpinan dan tingkat stres yang dipersepsikan oleh karyawan. Sedangkan untuk menganalisis pengaruh antara dua ariabel tersebut digunakan analisis regresi sederhana. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa karyawan merasa gaya kepemimpinan yang diterapkan sudahsesuai dengan apa yang mereka harapkan. Mereka menilai bahwa pemimpin sudah menerapkan gaya yang tepat dalam setiap kondisi yang terkait pekerjaan. Tingkat stres karyawan di perusahaan ini relatif rendah. Selanjutnya, analisis regresi memperlihatkan hubungan signifikan negatif antara gaya kepemimpinan dan tingkat stres. Karyawan yang merasa sesuai dengan gaya kepemimpinan atasan akan memiliki tingkat stres yang lebih rendah. Koefisien determinasi dari hasil penelitian ini adalah 0.321. ini berarti bahwa gaya kepemimpinan hanya dapat menjelaskan tingkat stres sebesar 32.1% of work stress. Hasil ini menjadi masukan bagi perusahaan untuk mempelajari faktor-faktor lain penyebab stres. Pembahasan di dalam penelitian ini akan menyajikan pula hasil riset terdahulu dari berbagai latar belakang budaya

Kosumen's behavior towards purchasing decisions is something that marketers must learn to know and understand how consumers make decisions, and the extent to which marketing stimuli can provide stimulus to purchasing decisions. So that can know whether the factors affect consumers in purchasing decisions. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of psychological factors on the selection of Bimoli cooking oil brand in housewives in Kuranji sub-district, Padang City. The type of this research is descriptive research, many samples used are 250 people by using technique of non-probability sampling method. The Internet has a significant influence on poverty alleviation and economic growth. Internet involvement in small-medium enterprises (SMEs) has the opportunity to create a better level of welfare. Using data from the fifth wave of the Indonesian Family Life Survey (IFLS), this study aims to analyze the impact of internet utilization on household welfare among two groups, household enterprises with internet use for business and without internet use for business. The results of the Propensity Score Matching (PSM) method mention that household enterprises with internet for business purposes have higher household per capita expenditure, food consumption, and non-food expenditure than household enterprises without internet use. Another interesting result finds that household enterprises are likely to use the internet only if household heads at a young age and business establish less than one year.

Employees’ commitment cannot be denied contributing to organizational impactiveness. However, commitment can be affected if no emphasis is placed on psychological factors such as self-esteem. This study aims to investigate how self-esteem factor can influence the commitment by testing the impact of self-esteem on employee commitment to the organization. 196 of civil servants serving the Local Authority (PBT) in the southern zone of Peninsular Malaysia were chosen as respondents. Measuring tools used in this study were Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (RSES) and Employee Commitment Survey Revised Version (ECS-R). The data was then analyzed using a simple regression analysis in SPSS. The results of the analysis showed that the self-esteem had a significant impact on affective and normative commitment. From the findings, it also shows that there is an influence relevant self-esteem on the two commitments to the organization namely affective and normative commitment. Hence, organizations need to realize that self-esteem is one of the basic toward formation of attitudes, behavior, personality and psychological reactions in the organization. In conclusion, efforts to help reinforce positive self-esteem among employees need to be addressed in the organization..
