ObjectiveTo develop a standardised set of economic parameters (core economic parameter set) for economic evaluations in asthma studies.DesignA systematic literature review and an analytical framework.Outcome measuresEconomic parameters used to evaluate costs and cost-effectiveness of healthcare interventions for people with asthma.Data sourcesPubMed, the Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews, the National Health Service Economic Evaluation Database, the Database of Abstracts of Reviews of Effects and the Health Technology Aaaessment Library starting from 1990.Review methodsResearch methods were based on the realist review methodology and included a number of non-sequential, iterative and overlapping components, such as developing an analytical framework for the realist review; systematic literature review of economic parameters; identifying and categorising economic parameters; producing preliminary list of core economic parameters.ResultsDatabase searches found 2531 publications of which 224 were included in the systematic review. We identified 65 economic parameters that were categorised into 11 groups to enable the realist synthesis. Parameters related to secondary care, primary care, medication use, emergency care and work productivity comprised 84% of all economic parameters. An analytical framework was used to investigate the rationale behind the choices of economic parameters in these studies. The main framework domains included type of intervention, research population, study design, study setting and a stakeholder’s perspective.ConclusionPast research thus suggests that in asthma study parameters depicting the use of secondary care, primary care, medication, emergency care and work productivity can be considered as core economic parameters, since they apply to different types of studies. Parameters including diagnostics, healthcare delivery, school activity, informal care, medical devices and health utility apply to a particular type of study (or research question), and thus can be recommended as supplemental parameters.PROSPERO registration numberCRD42017067867.

Experimental work is an important component of science subjects at all educational levels. The implication of green chemistry ideas indicated the need for optimization of traditional experimental work by implementing green chemistry principles to promote sustainable development. The aim of the study is to present findings from a systematic literature review on the use of experimental work in science education from green chemistry perspectives in the literature from 1995 to 2020. Thus, three electronic databases were reviewed following the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews (PRISMA) guidelines. The literature search identified a total of 1199 papers from Web of Science (N = 419), Scopus (N = 578), and Education Resources Information Center (ERIC) (N = 202). After applying inclusion/exclusion criteria, 263 papers were obtained and then analyzed in further detail. The findings highlighted trends in the integration of green chemistry principles into experimental work from primary to tertiary education levels and identified a literature gap, as well as the challenges and the possibilities for future development. The review outlined various opportunities for active learning within experimental work from green chemistry perspectives using a range of methods, with a particular focus on practical, hands-on, and laboratory activities.

Objective: To identify the causes of the vaccine refusal and thus the severities that the anti-vaccine movement reflected in the population. Methods: Extended abstract of the literature review, researched papers documents in the Virtual Health Library (VHL) databases, the Journal Coordination Portal of Improvement of Higher-Education Personnel (CAPES), Scielo (Scientific Electronic Library Online), and Google Scholar applying exclusion criteria. Results: In their study Hu et al, 2019, observed 24.9% of vaccine refusal, a higher percentage compared to a sample of 285, where 33.7% have doubt in relation to the efficacy of the vaccine, 34% distrust the pharmaceutical industry, 38.2% are concerned with the vaccine safety, and 37.2% do not consider the vaccine essential, strongly characterizing the anti-vaccine movement. Fonseca et al, 2018, study shows a smaller percentage of vaccine refusals, 0.14%, which is considered low. This result may possibly be related to educational level of the sampled population. 74% of the participants in his study had higher education degrees indicating a possible correlation between education levels and acceptance of vaccination. Conclusion: Results of this study shows a need for further research on the repercussions of the anti-vaccine movement. It also demonstrate a need for additional outreach programs based on awareness and education of the population regarding vaccination.

Considering how Mobile Digital Technologies can assist in the teaching andlearning process, in the most diverse areas of Teaching. This paper results from a Systematic Literature Review on the use of Mobile Learning in teaching and learning. Thereby, we identified its central characteristics, which refers to the use of mobile devices, and mapped out areas of Education and Teaching that have been using the MLearning in their educational activities in school scope. The methodological referral used was the Systematic Literature Review, over a period of 10 years, from 2007 to 2017, on the Theses and Dissertations Bank from Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES), on Capes Periodic Bank and in the periodic listed in the restricted index (A1, A2 and B1) in the Teaching area of the WebQualis platform - Quadrennial Periodic Classifications 2013-2016. The results are an even small number of effective use of Mobile Learning in school scope, although there is evidence that its using is feasible in classrooms due to its characteristics of working with portable and simple devices, commonly used by students in personal life, not implying in additional costs.
