Nong Darol Mahmada said that fiqh is a collection of classical ulama's ijtihād results on al-Qur’ān and al-īadīts as the daily basis of Muslims in every context of life. Based on the direction, the fiqh map can be classified into 2 major groups: ibādāt and mu’āmalāt. The direction of the discussion of the ibādāt group is the relationship between humans and Allōh (ḥablun min Allōh), while mu'āmalāt is a group whose direction addresses the relationship between humans and something else (ḥablun min al-nas and ḥablun min al-‘ālam). The goal of this cross-sectional survey research was to find the validity and reliability of assessment instrument of financial literacy for fiqh mu'āmalāt learning based on kitab kuning. To reveal validity is assessed based on obtain judgement expert and reliability measured by internal consistency. It was gained that the validity is 7 items very feasible and 5 item quite feasible with reliability’s value is 0,763. This finding shows that assessment instrument can be used to analyze difficulties of students for designing a learning program to guide students in pondok pesantren on achieving financial literacy throught fiqh mu’āmalāt learning that is based on kitab kuning (classical book).

It was gained a syllabus that is completed by lesson plan, student worksheets, and assessment instrument as well, that is validated by experts and practitioners and reliability counted based on test. The final test of these educational ideas are in learning implementation. The implementation of this program is not carreid out yet.

This paper addresses the concept of financial literacy in Islamic finance and suggests a methodology to elaborate an effective Islamic financial literacy policy (IFLP). Based on a literature review, the paper summarizes the conclusions of studies and surveys conducted in the field of conventional financial literacy while identifying the specificities of the Islamic finance industry. Indeed, the paper would help financial authorities and Islamic financial institutions in elaborating Islamic financial literacy policies (IFLPs) in order to contribute to the sustainable growth of the industry. It promotes the idea that qualitative aspects are worth studying when elaborating an Islamic financial literacy policy that has to take into account many factors such as the maturity of the industry, the objectives of the policy (inclusion or migration), the degree of Shari’ah awareness, the understanding of Arabic terminologies, etc. Finally, the IFLP measurement should include quantitative (Total reach and number of people reached) as well as qualitative aspects (level of financial literacy, impact on financial behaviour).

The L.E.A.D. Program implements two Legacy Projects, annually: Power of Potential Youth Conference and Challenge Cup. Both events are planned, organized, and facilitated by teacher candidates with the goal of engaging in-risk youth in various capacities. Taking place in the fall, the Power of Potential Youth Conference allows local high school students to explore some of their options for life after secondary school through a series of presentations and workshops focusing on Financial Literacy, Healthy Active Living, and Career Exploration. Taking place each spring, Challenge Cup is an outdoor event that fosters leadership, character development, and self-confidence in local secondary students. Students participate in a series of physical activities throughout the day which focus on building team-work, community, and leadership skills. This chapter explores how both L.E.A.D. Legacy Project events support secondary students outside of the classroom. The planning and organization of both events will be explained.

Abstract The article focuses on the phenomenon of financial literacy of students. Financial literacy is treated as a combination of financial knowledge and the decision-making process where one has to make a choice based on experience and theory. The aim of this paper is to draw attention to the essence of financial literacy, including knowledge of banking (especially of young people). For this purpose, a literature review was used. Own research complements the topic as a case study, where the author verifies whether students assess their knowledge in a way that corresponds to reality and verifies whether students need to expand their financial knowledge sorely necessary nowadays. The survey was completed by 380 students from University of Information Technology and Management in Rzeszów, of both economic and non-economic field of studies. There are some unexpected results, for example the most important is that students from a financial field of studies end up with worse results than their peers from the non-financial degree programs.

The aim of this paper is to investigate the implications of Challenge-Based Learning programs on entrepreneurial skills, and on the mindset and intentions of university students, through a quantitative approach. Resorting to an original database, we analyzed the pre- and post-levels of entrepreneurial skills, mindset and intention of 127 students who attended a Challenge-Based Learning program. Results show a positive and significant effect of Challenge-Based Learning programs on the entrepreneurial mindset and skills—that is, financial literacy, creativity, and planning—of the students.

There is currently a gap in the literature regarding the creation of psychometrically sound measurement tools assessing service-learning programs in health-related fields. Without comprehension of a survey's psychometric properties, evaluators cannot ensure that survey instruments are reliable or valid. This study describes the psychometric evaluation of the Public Health Associate Program (PHAP) Service-Learning Scale (PSLS). PSLS assesses participant experience in PHAP, a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention program. This paper explains survey development, scale validity and reliability, and the internal factor structure of the PSLS. The final scale consisted of 22 items with a high internal consistency (Cronbach’s α=.90). Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) was used to determine the scale’s factor structure; five factors comprising of all 22 items were retained. The factors, or subscales, were Learning Outcomes, Mentoring, Experiential Assignment, Self-Efficacy in Program Competency Domains, and Program Satisfaction. All were also found to have adequate internal consistency (Cronbach’s α .70). Service-learning is vital in developing the next generation of the workforce. These study findings suggest the PSLS fills a critical gap in the literature by providing a valid and reliable instrument to evaluate experiences and satisfaction in service-learning programs and other fellowships.

Insurance, in general, is considered as one of the most complex products that consumers purchase in their lifetime. Because of its complexities, the insuring public particularly the target of microinsurance which by demographics are considered marginalized, needs to be educated via financial literacy programs. This study explored via literature review the moderating effects of government intervention in cascading awareness and information dissemination through financial literacy programs, the importance of microinsurance as a protective tool against man-made and natural risks. Secondarily, this paper also examined the effects of financial literacy programs in the purchase of microinsurance. It is therefore incumbent upon Governments to ensure that the marginalized, who are considered in dire need of protective mechanisms, to be able to cascade the importance of microinsurance via financial literacy programs.
