Educational progress is determined by how teacher’s way to arrange the learning process that occurs in schools. The quality of learning depends on how the teacher runs the learning, so the goal of education is achieved, the learning process becomes innovative and fun and learners do not feel bored during the learning process takes place. The formation of students’ character becomes the main goal in education, therefore comic is a tool that can help teachers in instilling the values of characters contained in the comic.

Mandailing culture is part of Indonesia's diversity located in North Sumatra province. Local wisdom of Mandailing community can be used as a learning resource for students of Islamic primary school,so attitude of spiritual, social, knowledge and skills are formed. The local wisdom of the Mandailing community contains the learning resources that must be known and understood by Islamic primary school students such as (1) Ulos Mandailing, (2) Bagas Godang, (3) Amak Lampiasa, (4) Eating Kipang, (5) Marsialapari, (6) Harangan Rarangan, (7) Lubuk Larangan, (8) Marmalim Malim, (9) Gordang Sambilan, (10) Marpokat, (11) Naposo Nauli Bulung. Eleven parts of culture have meaning and values that become the basis of education to students as early as possible. The quality of learning in schools is determined by how the teacher do the learning process in class so that the learning goal can be achieved effectively and efficiently. The use of learning resources becomes one of the things that must be paid attention in the learning process. Integrating Mandailing local wisdom as a learning resource can facilitate the level of students’ understanding and can maintain ancestors’ relics that begin to fade with the changing times.

<p>Abstract: The Role of LPTK in Creating Syari’ah Based Professional Workforce in Aceh. The Institution of Learning for Educational workforce (LPTKs) plays an important role in the process of producing professionals in their fields. This article studies the extent to which such institutional programs play, especially those mainly associated with the Islamic sya’riah implemented in Aceh region. The writer of this article argues that, in terms of quality, it can be revealed from how far the lecturers are capable of facilitating the students’ learning process and its relevance to teaching materials. Therefore, the author concludes that the quality of learning can be conducted with the intensity of the systemic and synergistic lecturers, students, curriculum and learning materials, media, facilities, and learning systems in producing process and the optimal learning outcomes in accordance with the demands of curriculum.</p><p><br />Kata Kunci: workforce, professional, LPTK, Aceh<br /><br /></p>

In the teaching and learning process of Social Sciences, many problems are carried out by the teacher. One of them is some students still rely on their teacher's activities in learning, so the role of students is still very lacking. Even thought, the teacher always involving students to play an active in learning process. In contrary, students assume that the subject of Social Sciences is very boring. So that this causes a low quality of learning in Social Sciences, especially in  SMP Negeri 21 Pontianak. This cases has tickled the writer to take the theme of research on picture and picture cooperative methods to improve the quality of learning and increase the interest and activity of students in teaching and learning activities in Social Sciences.As for the techniques used of data collection is through observation by teachers and collaborators. The research involved two cycles of 42 students. While the data analysis used description with percentage techniques. Furthermore the level of activity of students and teachers is expressed in the category of "very good", "good" or "moderate", while the success of using picture and picture cooperative methods is stated as "successful", "less successful", or "unsuccessful".The results of this reseacrh with picture and picture cooperative methods have been successful, which is showing indicated by an increase in student activity of learning because it has reached the specified criteria is 81% of students are actively involved, while teacher activities reach 86.53%, as well as student learning outcomes with a value of 78.57, where this shows that it is exceeding the KKM value of 72, with a percentage of completeness of 76%, which has exceeded the criteria of 75%.

Abstrak Dalam proses belajar mengajar peran supervisi kepala madrasah memiliki peran strategis dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan, di mana para guru didalam melaksanakan tugasnya merupakan ujung tombak dalam mensukseskan tujuan pendidikan nasional. Di dalam pelaksanaan proses belaajar mengajar para guru seringkali mendapat kesulitan,dan kesulitan itu akan terjadi kemandegan dan kegagalan sekaligus berdampak pada mutu pendidikan, peran supervisi atau supervisor memiliki peran strategis dalam memberikan layanan terhadap guru yang mendapatkan kesulitan atau terjadi penurunan dalam kompetensinya. Tulisan ini berfokus pada kepemimpinan kepala madrasah dalam peningkatan kinerja. Tulisan ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif. Data-data yang sudah didapatkan kemudian dianalisa dengan menggunakan analisis data deskriptif. Kepemimpinan kepala madrasah dalam peningkatan kinerja guru menggunakan dua teknik yakni supervisi akademik berbasis pada individu dan kelompok. Pelaksanaan supervisi akademik teknik individu untuk meningkatkan kinerja guru di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Sirajul Ulum Jatiurip Krejengan Probolinggo yaitu menggunakan teknik orientasi bagi guru baru, classroom observation dan individual converence, sedangkan pelaksanaan supervisi akademik teknik kelompok untuk meningkatkan kinerja guru di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Jatiurip Krejengan Probolinggo yaitu menggunakan teknik rapat dewan guru, workshop/ lokakarya, bacaan terpimpin, buletin board dan karyawisata. Kata Kunci: kepala madrasah, supervisi akademik, kinerja guru, madrasah ibtidaiyah   Abstract In the teaching and learning process, the supervisory role of madrasah headmaster comprises a strategic role in improving educational quality, while the teachers in doing their tasks are seen as the lead in the efforts of achieving national education goals. In the implementation of teaching and learning process, most of the time teachers experience difficulties in which it causes stagnation and failure in improving as well as directly affecting the quality of the education itself. The role of supervision, or supervisor, possess a strategic role in providing services to teachers who experience difficulties or those who suffer declining competence. This paper focuses on the performance improvement of the leadership of the headmaster at madrasah. This paper used qualitative research methods. The data that has been obtained is analyzed by using descriptive data analysis. The leadership of Head master at Madrasah in improving teacher’s performance is done by using academic supervision techniques based on individuals and groups. The implementation of academic supervision technique within individual in improving teacher’s performance at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (Islamic Primary School) Sirajul Ulum Jatiurip Krejengan Probolinggo is carried out by using orientation techniques for new teachers, classroom observations and individual conversions. Meanwhile, the implementation of academic supervision techniques within groups in improving teacher’s performance in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Sirajul Ulum Jatiurip Krejengan Probolinggo is carried out by using teacher council meetings technique, workshops, guided reading, bulletin boards and field trips. This paper studies the history of dance education in Manipur and social value, psychomotor domain, and creative development of students at the school curriculum in Manipur (India). Dance education plays an essential role in molding a person into a perfect human being with good health and behaviour in society. It also furnishes the essential elements humans need to live in our society other than imparting knowledge and skills. In overall development, Manipuri dance plays the most crucial role in the school curriculum. The descriptive research method used in this study revealed the importance and the role of dance education for the four upper primary school students, i.e., class VI to class VIII of Imphal West District and Imphal East District, where dance class had been adopted as one of the subjects in these schools. The 915 students have been taken from the following four schools: Kendriya Vidyalaya-Lamphelpat, Tolchou Ibeton Memorial Academy-Hiyangthang, Rajkumari Sanatombi Devi Vidyalaya-Haotal Pangei, and SL Arena of Learning-Khurai Khaidem Leikai. The researcher collected 70% of students’ respondents, of which 287 are males and 343 are females out of 630 students. Finally, the investigator has found that the social value of students is significantly improving due to dance education. Dance education helped in realizing one’s own potential for self-enhancement, confidence, problem-solving, and creativity among the students. Moreover, it also developed and enhanced the psychomotor domain and the students’ creativity to a certain extent. Thus, dance education should be made compulsory as a curriculum subject at all levels of schools.
